La comida del restaurante de sabor de la India estaba bien. Probamos la faloouda no estaba fresca, contenía algún tipo de sustancia en polvo que se podía sentir en la boca y la garganta, lo peor es que cuando hablamos con el dueño del restaurante y nos quejamos del mal sabor de la falouda, él dijo que no cambiará ni reembolsará por la falouda, el propietario dijo que no le importa y si sabes diferente, entonces no es mi problema, es tu problema. El dueño del restaurante fue muy, muy desagradable. Éramos un cliente habitual y el dueño del restaurante se portaba muy mal con nosotros.

Comencemos con el elemento OK: los fideos vegetales no estaban mal en realidad. Verduras crujientes pero bastante aceitosas.Masala Mogo también estuvo bien. Pero mira lo pequeña que es la porción de casi 7.Masala Dhosa estaba bien, pero no se sentía ni sabía a fresco.Rollitos de primavera. Esto era simplemente ridículo, mi primer pensamiento fue por qué se molestarían en servir esto. El olor de ellos, se habían apagado al 100% y se sentían viejos y gomosos. Como si se hubieran cocinado hace al menos 1 o 2 días. Esto ahora explica mi título. No se requiere receta médica, solo un viaje a Taste of India. (Supongo que no pinta una gran imagen de la India, ¡el término vientre de Delhi me viene a la mente!) (Cuidado con el juego de palabras)Resumir. No es una gran experiencia, pero tampoco hay muchas opciones decentes en la zona. Definitivamente no tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. No me importa pagar una gran cantidad por comida decente, pero esto ni siquiera estuvo cerca.¡Lo único positivo, pero igualmente engañoso, ya que me dio grandes esperanzas, fue el empaque y la bolsa para llevar!

decent indian vegetarian very clean restaurant though the south indian thali was good but could do with some better flavours staffs/ waiters/ waitreses could smile a bit more, even if it was fake, would be nice. would certainly visit again.

Plain Dosa and Masala tea is our favourite. The four sauces (chatni) will never disappoint you. I personally love the Channa Batura with onion and hint of lemon. Finish it off with Falooda and that is just brilliant. Customer service is prompt too.

We arranged a last minute trip to Taste of India and were delighted with the selection that was offered in their menu. Great options of Chaats, Dosa and a variety of vegetarian food, and all at a reasonable price. We ordered masala dosa, fried okra, butter paneer, palak puri and chana, and aloo paratha just time name a few. All of these were really delicious and gave us the spicy taste we were looking for. Excellent option if you are looking for a good vegetarian restaurant.

We have been coming to this resturant for years. They have maintained their quality.They have variety of both south Indian and north Indian options. Love their Thalis, Ghee Dosa and Paneer Tikka Masala. Their south Indian Parotta are nice and flaky.. I would recommend this place over other vegetarian options around the area.

I have been there many times over the years as it serves real Indian food as can be seen by the fact 99% of the customers are of India origin.Very tasty vegetarian food.I am of English origin and love the fact the food is 'Indan style' in that it is not too spicy as real Indian food should be.

has been consistent with the quality. I have been alternating with Saravana Bhavan opposite this place. For the price, it offers value for money. Food has been consistently good.

Evening meal with friends. Had to wait about half hour for table. Party of six and only given 2 menus, had to ask for more. Water n tumblers provided, but water bottle grubby. Waiter rushed us for our order, commenting that some dishes may be 'too hot for you without bread'. Food OK, but definitely average. Thalis good value for money but individual dishes not so, more sauce than content. Had to request cutlery. Not sure food is worth a half hour wait, there are better, similar, restaurants in this area. Dining room is very crowded and hectic so not a relaxing experience at all. Toilet area very basic, in need of a lot of maintenance and a good clean.

The food in this restaurant is consistently good. It is nearly always busy but service is very prompt.I would highly recommend their Mogo Masala.

I have been going to this restaurant very often and have had no problems with their food or service but these last 2 visits were very bad. I had takeaway food and the Idli and Uttappam was not good at all. It was hard and soggy and not at all tasty. It was highly disappointing as the food was for my mother and she did not eat it at all.Lately the taste and quality has been going down.

Great tasty food. We tried biryanis, kothus, fried rice. Everything was so tasty. However the toilets are so badly in shape and lacks cleanliness...wonder how the kitchen looks?

Fui a comer, comí pescado frito Nethili y pollo. Tenía idli y cordero al curry. El Idli es uno de los mejores y Sambar fue muy bueno. Volvería solo para el Idili solo. Pocos puntos importantes que me gustaría agregar aquí, como médico, problemas de salud. Después de regresar a casa, toda la noche tuve sed y no pude beber agua para quitarme la sed. Esto se debe al glutamato de sodio mono, que es una sal. No da sabor amargo como sal de mesa cuando está en exceso. El siguiente es demasiado color en muchos artículos. No es bueno para los riñones.

Ordered takeaway which was ready in 20 minutes. Tasty onion oothappam and sambar vadai. Channa Bathura ok. Prompt service

Nice curry and lovely seafood starters we had. Even the soups were great. The Biryani was amazing. Totally enjoyed the time here.

Nice Indian Veg hotel in London. Normal price with high quality food. All South and North Indian food choices and Fresh juice as well.

Fabulous vegetarian foods! Staff helpful as I couldn’t understand the menus not being in English (which I love as am Welsh!!) Lime soda was awesome... Second visit in as many weeks! Glad I live up north or would be here all the time!!

He estado en muchos buenos restaurantes, pero este precio es realmente por encima de todo y el sabor tampoco es excelente, tampoco mencionaron esto en el menú. Después de quejarme con el gerente, me dio una actitud molesta y grosera y simplemente dejó la recepción. Gestión terrible

The food was so rich and tasteful. The restaurant is clean and the staff is welcoming. On a cold day like this it was really pleasant to have some cozy food FYI it’s spicy!

Excellent restaurant for semi fast food semi restaurant. It was very busy when we got there but managed to get our seats within 15 minutes. The food was served fairly quickly and tasted authentic The service was good for the type of restaurant. Over all good experience.

Very busy, very tasty. We had the usual, dosa, chilli panneer, thali and much more, and shared between the family. Very tasty and great value. Definitely one of the better veggie places to eat. It gets very busy, and noisy and all adds to the atmosphere.

I love trying out vegetarian restaurants and cafes and whilst this was an extremely busy place for our weekend visit, it was well organised and service was great. We enjoyed our masala dosas and starters which came promptly. Reasonably priced too!

We waited almost 30 minutes on a Sunday to be seated in a cramped position. Went down to eat a thali which was not on due to being busy, Ordered starters and dosas along with Naan and few vegetarian dishes, adults were given their order first and children's were left out. The naan and the vegetarian dishes arrived before they could service the dosas .We sent the meals away as wanted to have dosas first ,the dosas were pathetic with big chunks of potatoes. The food ordered was cold and the Naan were too thick. Not a good value for a meal spent almost £150 incl a £10 tip.

Looking for pure vegetarian food , South Indian food had authentic taste. Idli , Dosas are served with sambar and 3 kinds of chutneys, all good. Service was friendly and Food quality good too.

Tasty south indian food. Something for everyone here, veggies and the carnivores. My favourite is chilly fried idly then followed by prawns Masala with 2 porotos, chicken 65 and indian tea...

Se usa mucho para el estándar llamado alimentos en India y otras casas de curry bricklane uso la misma base para cada plato. Este lugar, sin embargo es muy diferente. Todo es fresco y muy diferente. Nunca nuevo sabor este buen verduras. Ninguna duda prueba Gobi 65 como entrante. También el vegetariano dosa también era increíble la gran puri con garbanzo curry igual muy buena. Entras en el lugar en el que creo que en la India. Me encanta. Definitivamente vamos a volver.

No te puedes equivocar con tal de que orden los platos especializados. Dosa, Uttapam bhatura o Chan una o terminas esperando para siempre a sus huéspedes comer antes que usted. Probar y Chili frito Gobi 65 Instituto promueven. Servicio rápido y familiar, adecuado para vegetarianos restaurante - nada de esto tofu o carne basura bean sustituto natural ingredientes tofu - sólo vegetariana.

This review is for their non-veg branch. I love their weekend speciality - Vaaniyambadi Kalyana Lamb Briyani. Taste once and you will be a fan for it ever. Such a delicious meal and very very generous portion.

Well presented and tasty food. Great choice of dishes from an expansive, without being too busy, menu. Reasonably priced, great service. Even though it was extremely busy the food, service and attention to all diners was excellent.

Great fast service and probably the best, crispiest dosa in London. I also recommend their Punjabi cuisine too and some of their Indo-Chinese - great selection of good quality snacks and dinner.

The food was great, but the service was poor. Took a long time for them to come even take an order. Forgot to get a couple of items. The food when it came was really good. The worst part of the visit was the staff dumping the used plates. It was really, really loud and they appeared completely oblivious the ruckus was causing discomfort to people. A shame really because the service really brought down the overall experience.

I have been here quite a lot of time and always come back as happy customer. Fantastic service and superb food as i have always avoided crowded time(Late Saturday and Sunday evenings).

This is a perfect South Indian restaurant. Pros: You get all Sambar, rasam, Palak, curd, Beetroot fry (side) with mild spice so even locals enjoy the food. Cons: No Vathakulambu and good south indian side to go by. Gobi 65 was given, not sure why but it compensates for the good taste.Also they accept card only above £25 which means, we have to carry cash if you're not having a big meals with many members.

We are not Asian but were taken here by two Asian friends we met on a cruise - they laughed and said I would look like the foreigner, and I guess I was as I was met with a few curious stares. I'm not vegetarian but love to try different things and do limit my meat intake so was looking forward to it all. Presented with the menu was a shock as I hardly recognised anything but help was at hand. One warning I will give is whatever you order, it seems you are expected to share it. I was happy with that. I did order some chilli mushrooms and the waiter did check I was ok with it. The heat of the chilli did wait a while before it kicked it, but it was delicious. I would have loved to go round all the tables to find out what people had ordered, but would have been a bit cheeky. Another surprise was that the food came up in dribs and drabs. I'd love to go again and will certainly be better prepared. The food offered is not like what I usually see on a menu in our local Indian restaurants, but that's because I guess it has been adapted to European tastes. It must be a good restaurant as it was full of large families all tucking in together and the queue outside was long with people waiting for a table to become free.

We really love the mutton and chicken south indian dishes here especially the biriyani. We always get a take away of the mutton and chicken biriyani. Once I got the wrong order from takeaway and didn't realise until I had come home. So now we always check if the order is correct before leaving the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant a week ago with my husband, ordered 2 South Indian Meals but when the order came it was only one. There it is self was a mistake, waiter took the wrong order instead of 2 he brought only one. Can't even take a simple order.This order comes with rice and 8 little containers with vegetables and one sweet. All containers should be a different vegetable but there were 2 rasams, 2 bananas vegetables, 2 dhal. This was a cheat with repetition of the same dishes. When we saw was served we quickly cancelled the other South Indian Meal.When asked to speak to the manager, staff very quickly said he was no where to be seen. Told at the cashier about it and one smart Alec of staff hanging around there, tried to tell me that is way a South Indian meal is. I told him I'm from South India, I look very Indian and I know the food very well and what they were serving was not right, it was a cheat.Staff did not want to get the manager as the finger will be pointed to at the staff. Very disappointed and will not be returning. In fact we always go to Saravana across the road and get delicious food. This time we thought try Taste of India and it was a down right let down and will not be going there again.

Taste of India serves very tasty South Indian food and you cant fault anything with food, however service is awful and owner needs to invest in staff & increase the number to people serving and taking order on the floor. Current staff is overworked and pushed to their limits.

Just bought 2 portion of paratha, one for my son and one for my daughter. Charged as two order, but on my return found he packed 4 paratha together and the kurma was in one container. When phone the chap on the phone insist that is how they serve if you order 2 portion they will put the kurma in one container. Despite me saying that I have to take to two places , the chap care less of my complaint and did not even say sorry.The food may be nice but the counter service is not.

The restaurant appears to have changed hands but the menu is still full of delicious South Indian food. This is one of the busiest restaurants in the area. No alcohol is allowed. Most of the customers are locals, that is, Indians and Pakistanis. I recommend the dosas, the chilli paneer with salt lassi to drink.

It is in front of another pure veg restaurant, I visit here occasionally.service is good, and kadhai paneer is good. I didn't like naans here , they are too fluffy.

Three of us visited on a recommendation from a local friend and it was simply superb... I visited London for a weekend and that evening was the very best South Indian food I had in last 10 years... awesome quality and variety.A must visit if you love Indian food

Chilly paneer was great, and so was chole bhutara. Service is not slick, staff needed to be prompted for orders, bill etc, the only let down.

We had veg biriyani and gobi 65 which was tasty and crispy,my husband liked their sweet naan very much.Good place to have Indian food,but i think dishes are bit over priced.

Visited this place with my family this Sunday and enjoyed the different dishes. The portion has gone smaller and the quality of food is not the same as before. The sitting was decorated with new nice authentic temples from India and they have their own tissue holder and water jug with their logo...Nice touch :-))

The food is amazing and delicious. Considering that the restaurant is always full catering for over 120+ people, the service is bound to be a little slow. But the food is worth the wait. Great prices too!The staff is quick in cleaning tables and getting food fast as quick as they can. They are very polite and friendly. Overall my favourite restaurant with loads of vegy options. Love it!

We are vegetarians and used to visit this restaurant frequently earlier although the service was always pathetic...The food is good and that is the only reason we frequented there. But we stopped going there ever since they changed their minimum card payment amount to £25! Yes....only if your bill amount is more than 25 pounds you are allowed to pay by card...which we thought was ridiculous. There were 2-3 occasions when my husband had to roam around and stand in queues at the cash machine to then come back to the restaurant to make the payment, since our bill was below 25 & we didn't have cash on us. Recently since I wished to have food from there, we ordered for a takeaway....One Rice and a Curry and the bill amount came up to 11 pounds...We thought that was ridiculously priced as well considering the type of the restaurant that it is (almost a fast food & not a fine dining restaurant), the location of the restaurant and the quantity served. The food was not not as good as it used to be before. I think people have hyped up and overrated this restaurant soo much that the management doesn't care about the quality of service being provided and also don't think before hiking prices whenever they want to.....Because they are confident that people will still turn up and keep the restaurant busy. We are never going back there!

A huge and confusing menu so I chose randomly...and wasn't disappointed. In fact, none of my party were and the staff were kind enough to stop us over-ordering...definitely only 4 naans between us.

Brilliant Food with Real Indian Taste. Friendly and Hard Working Staff. Great Value for Money. Variety of Indian Food on offer ranging from Punjabi, Indo-Chinese and South Indian. Quick Service & Freshly Cooked Food with a good value. The place can be busy during Weekends and Holidays; I would recommend to visit it during Weekdays if possible.

Went for Sunday morning breakfast and wasn't disappointed. The Dosa was fresh and service was good. Would definitely consider a return visit.

Such a shame I have to write this review as the food is good. I've not had bad service here before but this it was unforgivable as it was completely unnecessary.I turn up to the restaurant with my partner and son to meet up with family for dinner. We sat down at the table where our family are already there waiting for us and I folded my son's pushchair out the way as my sister has her newborn in a space already provided by a server before we arrived.Now sitting down catching up and waiting for someone to serve me & my partner, all of a sudden a server with a mustache and waistcoat mention to my sister that she needs to move her son to make space which is really odd considering this was already dealt with prior my arrival to the restaurant and then without any mention what so ever, the server picks up my son's pushchair and tries to move it out of the way.I say to the server to put it down as I didn't ask for it to be moved or if it needed to be moved, was not asked if it was ok to move the pushchair with my permission and he tries to start an argument out of it which as I mentioned previously was completely unnecessary and could of been completely avoided as the seating arrangement was already dealt with.By this point I'm disgruntled and frustrated by what has happened but didn't want it to completely ruin my night as I nearly did walk out because of what just happened. We ordered our food and received all that we ordered bar one kids dosa for our son but luckily he shared food with everyone else and would of been a waste so money saved there.Then, my brother asked for 2 diet cokes on 3 occasions before he got his drinks which equated to about 20 - 30 minutes of waiting, my sister asked for lemonade which the servers didn't understand so she asked for sprite or 7 up and then the server got someone else to ask for what drink she wanted so ended up not ordering the drink and they also brought a dish to us that we didn't even order.As if I thought it couldn't get any worse, when it came to the bill, we checked it and an extra item was put on to the bill which was the dish that was brought to us that we didn't order. When we told the server, they went to check it and then had the audacity to then say to us that we did order it and we have to pay. Now our bill was over £100 and would be more than happy to pay for what we got but I thought it was unacceptable for them to try and put the blame on us for a mistake they made. My brother had to speak to the manager and she took it off straight away.So to wrap this up if you want good food and don't care about the service then by all means check this place out otherwise avoid the disappointment by saving your money and going to an alternative Indian restaurant.I would also like to thank the server with the mustache and waistcoat last night for me writing this review and giving this a rating of terrible rather than very good as everyone else was nice but it only takes one person to ruin it.

Mother's day restaurant operating with handful of staff. Everyone been told to wait for 45 mins but actually we end up waiting for 2 hrs. So went to restaurant at 7pm & out but 10:30 with meal for 5 us. Even though staff was nice & food good but because of too slow service & not very clean, will not go back.

At the non veg branch the Chicken Lollipop, Butter Chicken and Lamb Curry are awesome! Certainly worth a visit. Also had the masala dosa which was ok

Since the New Year, we have visited "Taste of India" twice with the family - age less than 2 to over 65 years.Vegetarian food choice was impressive.Waiter service was average.Facilities for very young children were limited.Except for the chips most dishes were served quickly. A plate of chips took more than 20 minutes!

Food excellent will come back again!great atmosphere hopefully soon if you are near the visiting london specially east london you got to try it enjoy

The South indian dishes are no doubt awesome. All other dishes are tasty and value for money.I liked the different type of Chutneys that were served with a single dosa.Service is also good.

(non veg restaurant) The staff here are ignorant and arrogant. They don't have any understanding of customer service AT ALL. They dump the menus with you, take your order without speaking and dump the food on your table without looking at you. Once they've dumped the food they want you out as quickly as possible and avoid eye contact as they are afraid you will ask for something else. We specifically ordered a CRISPY dosa and what arrived was soggy. I politely notified a man about this and he arrogantly retorted with a long lecture that ending with "IT IS CRISPY... OK" . Eventually another man replaced it. The food here generally has been going down hill and there are plenty of other good restaurants around the area so there is absolutely no reason to go here.

We did not like the dosas. They were tasteless and the dough was more like a crepe instead of being fresh and crispy.The rest of the food we ordered, assorted fritters and chicken drumsticks did not look fresh and had a weird aftertaste.

This restaurant on the high street in East Ham. Although they make both north and south indian items, I would only go here for their south indian breakfast. I would leave South indian lunch and dinner traditional meals to another place. Their breakfast menu of idli, dosas and vada is up to the mark and tasty when fresh. I wouldn't get any north indian items here though.

We went for a New Years family meal and the place was bursting from its seams as it was so incredibly busy! Clearly a place that serves great food and with the crazy hustle and bustle it creates a great atmosphere. Some of our family members hadn't been here before but they found the experience thoroughly enjoyable and said they will be returning again very soon. The masala dosa, channa bhatura, chilli paneer and Manchurian mushrooms are simply a must every time. The staff are fantastic especially the female manager, my parents are regulars here and they say she always makes them feel welcome and that her service is spot on!

Been there many times and every single time we've come away feeling well fed and taken care off. The place is always full inspite of it being next to Saravana Bhavan (which for people that don't know is back home the standard in Vegetarian restaurants). The people serving you are very friendly and make you feel at home, service with a smile - remember this is not a high end restaurant and these people aren't tipped anywhere close to such restaurants. The food - if you love authentic south Indian vegetarian food then - is great and they have kept their standards since they opened - Most restaurants in London don't seem to hold their reputation for long. Now if you want the authentic non-vegetarian option then wolla they have a separate non-vegetarian restaurant down the road from this one - which is slightly pricier and decent (can give four stars to that one) - I guess the vegetarian restaurant is the star - its always nice when you are in a restaurant full of natives - they have to be doing something right - its not easy to earn repeat Indian custom.

I have eaten at this place couple of times. We tried their Thali, Dosa, Channa Bhatura, Dahi vada, vegetable kebab, parotta & korma. Avoid the kebab, not worth it. Restaurant is clean. Water is bottled, food hot and tasty.

We were in London for xmas and went to this restaurant after checking reviews- must say- the ambience, food and staff were very good- had a relaxing time. Especially Mr Azhagar samy, who took sour order- serviced with a smile, warm and polite manner- very impressive!Food- very tasty, fresh and very good spread of South Indian dishes- kids loved it very much.All good except for the rest rooms which needs attention in cleanliness and Maintanence. Hand wash area had Dyson air dryer which is a first for me in Indian restaurant in the area!

Went with family, the place is for veggie lovers, first time there, its a low key kinda place ... no pazaz in the interior look , a ver Indian back home look to the place ... metal plates n cups n glasses i loved the authenticity of it.We ate two dishes which in normal restaurants is smaller portions could feed up to four .... they looked so good. The food was very tasty each dish gD its own authentic taste i was in love with the whole thing. The Indian spices were all different in each dish, This is one place id keep coming back too it was amazing

It's a clean looking place and has clean toilets.. the food though is just average.. it definitely isn't true taste of India..the masala dosa was not crisp.. the masala was plain.. the chutneys were good.. the vada was too hard.. In summary.. if all you want to do there is take a dump.. or chutneys..then perfect.. else there are better places that serve better food..

We here on a Thursday evening and enjoyed a fantastic South Indian experience.We ordered a Masala Dosa to start with (£3.70), and a Mango Lassi (£3.40). We then ordered a South Indian Meal (£7.75), and a Taste of India Special Meal (£8.40). We also ordered one Chai to finish with (£1.60). All was very tasty and offered good value for money.I would like to see the hand wash area redone as it looks grubby and unclean.

Wonderful food, you must try the Biryani and devilled lamb it's a real treat! Also the service of the food is quick and efficient!

I ate South Indian food here...5 taste dosa & 7 variety rice.It was amazing food, the place is a short walk from East Ham Mahalakshmi temple / East Ham station ...Nice ambiance, prompt & polite staff, easily accessible by tube...
