Taste of India in Rugby

Had a delivered set meal for 2 last night. Lovely food. Rice buns tikka onion bajis not oily just fresh n lovely. May order again tonight

We have had quite a few Meals from this little gem over the Lockdown Months and I can honestly say that I have never had better Indian Food any where else from Trowbridge or for several miles at least. The Food is freshly prepared using fresh ingredients and when delivered it’s always piping hot as it should be and always on time. We have tried many Indian Restaurants up and down the country over the years and have never had better than the Taste of India.....many thanks.

We ordered our food and was accepted at 6:40pm, The restaurant said estimated delivery time of 7:55pm. Once it got to 8:30 I called in, Phone engaged until I FINALLY spoke to some very stressed man at 9:05 pm and asked where our food is and why it is over an hour later than estimated. The man said it is NYE and has 200 orders. Fair enough but why said 7:55 then? He angrily ask for my address and said it is on its way. We were so hungry just made our own food and asked for a refund via just eat as no answer from restaurant. No one ever turned up at our house! No idea where the “on the way” driver was. Clearly lied to. Very unhappy, hungry house hold and woke up this morning to a message from Just eat telling me the Taste of India is NOT going to refund me and that they hoped we enjoyed our food! WTF 🤬 Pure cheek of it! No food. No communication. No customer service skill at all. And took our money! NEVER TO BE USED AGAIN!

Ruined our covid NYE by not delivering and stealing £30 from us. Didnt answer the phone - nothing. Shambles. Have visited and eaten there - great food but a dump

1st time we have ordered from Taste of India. Food was amazing! Would totally recommend. Best indian I have had for a long time. Nice friendly delivery man. Definitely use them from now on.

This was about the 4th time of having a home delivery from this Restaurant, we had a few communication problems at first but all went ok in the end. We went for 1 Chicken Tikka Masala with Pilau rice and a Chicken Tikka Madras and a plain Nan Bread. The CTM was very nice and tasty, nice and creamy full of the coconut flavour, the Madras wasn’t Madras as it had some sort of fruity taste in the sauce but it was quite a nice flavour, I would probably have it again if I new what it was??. In all it was a very nice meal and surprisingly being a home delivery was very hot. The only thing I would say is that the Chicken in both dishes were slightly overcooked and a bit on the dry side, but apart from that it was a very nice meal. Definitely the best in the town......!don’t take to much notice of the negative reviews!

Food was reasonably priced, turned up swiftly and hot. All 4 curries we tried were excellent, as well as the mutar paneer and Brindall bhajee sides. Breads a bit soggy as usual from a takeaway, but easily rectified in the oven briefly. Overall very good value and will definitely return.

We took note of the statement on the flyer dropped in our door, claiming the Best Indian Restaurant and takeaway, how wrong can you be??? This was probably the worst quality Indian take away we have ever had and is expensive at £25, Chicken Tikka, so dry it was hard cutting with a knife, as was the Lamb in the Green Bangal which floated in oil - Terrible. This food reminded be of the rubbish the Mogul served back in the late 80's until they dramatically improved and ended up serving some very acceptable Indian food. This, in contrast was awful, never again I'm afraid

The old Mogul Tandoori under New Management. This was the first time of trying out this Great Restaurant and it wont be the last that’s for sure. As we are all in lockdown we opted for a Home delivery and I must say they were bang on time, the Food was piping Hot and all tasted freshly cooked. We went for 2 Chicken dishes with Rice and Nan Bread/Poppadoms. The Chicken was succulent and Juicy straight out of the Tandoor Oven like it should be. There are now only 2 Indian Restaurants in Trowbridge worth bothering with now, one is opposite Lloyd’s Bank “Namaste” and this little Gem The Taste of India, Mortimer St. Try you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous food, well delivered better than described on website, definitely the best takeaway I’ve had in a long time Highly recommend
