The service is absolutely rubbish never deliver on time. They should be more careful in making the food there was a long hair in the lamb karahi completely put us off eating ruined it. Tandoori was so dry and burnt and cold. Just interested in taking money no care for the customers.

Since chef Ebby left this place has gone downhill. Food is tasty but as previous reviews say the owner is so stingy with portions of meat or chicken. He charges 7 to 8 pounds a dish . You would be lucky to find 100g of meat or chicken.... Chicken breasts in Blackburn costs £4 a kilo... imagine his profit margins ...Mr Mohammed sharif if your reading this increase meat/chicken to at least 250g ....weigh it if you have too. This will bring back a lot of your customers

Really expensive for what it is and they have to be the stingiest takeaway in Blackburn in terms of meat/chicken content in their curries, you will be fishing around for it and then good luck with the dodgy stomach the day after. Avoid.

I live 3 miles away at Brownhill and they don't deliver, pity because I like the food. Used to visit regularly as I know the chef Ebby, can't do visits anymore and when I tried to order from hungry house I got the reply 'we don't deliver to your area' I'm just past the brownhill roundabout and have had takeaways delivered for tuther side of town????

This place was recommended but I think they were having a laugh. Whilst it tasted good, I had five days of severe feverish food poisoning. Never again and a complaint was made to the council.

Having had takeaway from here a while ago, i gave it another chance. However shouldn't have bothered the curries are still quite poor, not much flavour and the portions are small. I had the karahi ghost and chicken tikka masala. The karahi ghost had very little meat and even that was quite chewy, fatty and tasteless. Won't be coming here again.

I have been eating here for a few years.. The service could do be better but the food and the price of the food can not be faulted. I like Chicken Jafrezi and Lamb Bihari boneless.. Made to taste spicier if requested.

It is a small place, don't let the exterior and interior put you off - could really do with a refurb! We were seated upstairs, and we had two platters - £29 each. It contained 4 kebabs, 4 chicken wings, 4 boneless chicken pieces, chips, lamb curry, chicken curry and naans. It was accompanied with poppadoms and sauces. The portions were generous that we took the leftovers home! The kebabs were nice, but the chicken starter items tasted dry and overpowered with tandoori. However, both the curries were on point and delicious.

We were having a party for 12 and ordered curries and chicken tikka rolls, we picked up the food and the rolls were very cold, soggy and there was only a few pieces in each. After spending £50, i rang the takeaway to explain and he wasn't very apologetic. He was happy with me not going there again!

After being told that this place made good curries etc, I was skeptical to say the least, but after eating here I was quite impressed. If you want a genuine curry then this place does it. It doesn't look much to a passer by on the outside but nonetheless don't let that put you off from trying the curry.

The food is very average with not much taste, heavily cooked in oil and not good for your arteries or cholesterol. Seating is tiny and upstairs needs a good clean.

Nice food overall. Not your posh restaurant, more like a take away but decent Indian curries and food. Would recommend the Kata Chicken.

Only reason I could not give 5 stars was because the place is slightly run down and needs a full refurbishment. However, that won't stop me from revisiting. We had a couple of currys (kata chicken and kata gosht) and a mixed grill. Food was very tasty. Could not fault it one bit. Service is good too for a takeaway/restaurant. Kitchen looked very busy and staff did really well in keeping us happy.

Definitely one of my favourite Indians to order from. First ordered from here in December 2014... have to say it was great as they still deliver and are open quite late. Had a bit of confusion about how to get to my house as it was delivery but I had an Indian friend round at the time who could speak the drivers native language and so everything was sorted. Such amazing food but can be on the spicy side which I don't mind at all. You always get large portions and also salad when you order. Its so good, usually have food from here every couple of months it's that amazing. Don't always get delivery as it's sometimes easier to pick up, they have always been really friendly when in the takeout. Never eaten in but would imagine it's a bit crowded as it's only small. Would recommend to anyone for an Indian. And the mango lassi is amazing and you get loads.

Food taste cannot be faulted but menu is confusing and setting for seating is definitely small and not at all family friendly. That said for pure taste alone one of the best curry experiences locally.

I’m not a believer of giving bad reviews but have no choice on this occasion. Take away, worst ever, kebab not cooked, bread undercooked. Tried to call and explain but some how they couldn’t understand even thou they could to take the order. Last time!

I recently had a takeout from Shandaar Tandoori, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. The wrapper was stuck to my food, and half of my chapatti was left clinging to the wrapper. To make matters worse, my entire kebab roll had its fillings spilling out, making it impossible to enjoy. This is not the first time I've encountered such issues, and it has become infuriating. I eat from them daily, and it’s utterly unacceptable for a restaurant to consistently fail in such a basic aspect of service. It's a real shame because the food itself is tasty, but the atrocious packaging completely ruins it. This needs to be addressed immediately.
