amazing food will order again soon

have ordered from here many times and not once have I had a complete order. Always missing ice-cream and sides. calling the restaurant only gets you shouted at before they hang up on you.

ordered 2 onion bahji 1 was ok the other cold and burnt. the rest of the order was great

What to say about this restaurant unfortunately the poor service and attitude of the staff was not the worst part the food came out and the chicken in the curry was still frozen when I asked to replace it the manager started shouting and put hes finger into the frozen chicken before he believed me and wouldn’t replace it and wouldn’t remove it from the bill PLEASE DONT EAT HERE

Definitely the worst indian takeaway we have ever had we ordered 2 jalfrezi's a bhuna and a ceylon and they were all bland the bhuna wasn't cooked properly it was awful. If you know what Indian food should taste like and love it you won't like it here but on the other hand if you want cheap food and don't mind what it tastes like order here. I wish I'd read the reviews as wouldn't have ordered.

i am completly shocked at what i have just got not single thing is edible cold and acctuly disgusting chips fries not steak chips price £4.95 shocking chincken balls cold pink in middle batter grease soggy currys awful dry and cold as for noddles awfull full vegtables mouth full noddles ice cold.. said "0% off as well didnt even get that for price paid very poor services had bin the food that awful and order pizza instead from are local will not make this mistake again,, also 30 mins late man on phone was so rude unreal.. will never order again shocked

We have ordered from this restaurant a handful of times now and both times there has been a delay with delivery. This is obviously acceptable but on both occasions the person who answered the phone at the restaurant was exceptionally rude. The food itself is very good quality however we will only order more locally in future as it is not professional to feel one had to argue when enquiring about a late order.

The food and service were good. You will get enough variety as well.

Lovely food, pleasant staff and quick service, only two stars for atmosphere as I was the only person in there 😅 but this was down to a fairground in the main square and I wouldn't put the restaurant at fault for this, overall a pleasant dining experience 👍

Just had a takeaway meal delivered. Worst meal I’ve had.Poppadoms where sloppy looking tasted as though they were done a couple of days ago.The rice was well presented and nice. The chicken masala was warmish.The chicken itself tasted as though it was precooked and burnt on outside. It really tasted like it was precooked and thrown in a pan to slightly warm up.Not a place I would recommend personally

Food very poor. Onion Bhaji burnt, Tika masala sauce very runny, as was Passanda sauce, more like soup, with very little chicken in either. Naan bread under cooked, and stale, and Poppadoms not crispy, but slightly stale. Not a good experience, will not order again

Please do not waste your money buying food from taste of India! We ordered food at roughly 7pm and it didn’t arrive till 9pm. We rang to see where our food was, staff was abrupt and would say they would call us back to see where our food was but didn’t. We are extremely unhappy with the poor customer service and will not be eating here again. As for the Coke, £5 ridiculous!!!

Worst Indian ever had. Ordered lamb curry which had no flavour whatsoever, mushroom rice which may as well of been onion rice as there was only 2 pieces of mushroom in the dish, chicken tikka naan, don't know where the tikka was and the naan was as dry as anything. Only visiting for a few days and thoroughly disappointed with our experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

We tried Lamb biriyani and chicken tandoori along with butter naan. Butter naan was realy delicious, chicken tandoori presentation was really nice. Lamb biriyani was not that much tasty but lamb pieces were very huge quantity. The amount of food was quite ok with avarage taste.the restaurant is spacious with adequate seating arrangements.easy accessibility to arrive in the 'taste of india restaurant' which is near to the kingslynn bus station.please dont go there with too much expectation, but it can satisfy as us in an average way.

Please do not waste your money buying from taste of india..... the food recieved this evening is not even fit for purpose... I called the restaurant to ask them if they would refund my order? To which the worker done a smug laugh and said no I will not be refunding you as I am not loosing money..... He then proceeded to say go ahead and leave me a review and was very flippant and arrogant...... No where is cheap these days so to buy takeaway as a treat and it only be fit for the bin is a hard pill to swallow..... then too get really really poor customer service just topped it off..... 100% there are many places worthy of your hard earned money..... I really can't stress enough please don't get caught out buying from here..... I am the first to praise and give good reviews this is the first bad review I have ever given but I feel strongly about the over all experience......

Went into the restaurant, saw the owner and his family having lunch so I was being polite and sat on a table waiting for them to finish and come serve me. However, the owner suddenly came attacking me with swear words and shouting at me to leave just for choosing a table myself. Very poor attitude, no wonder he has so many negative reviews on here. Wouldn’t recommend supporting this business if you are against such treatment towards customers.

Disgusting!!! We ordered for delivery 2 hours later!!! it arrived stone cold the chicken if that's what you call it was dry and chewy the lamb was like chrwing old boots and to top it all off the nan bread tasted like it had been soaked in petrol I want my money back and you need shutting down permanently 😡

Indian is my favourite food & in 35 years of eating it, this was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I could only consume 25% before I couldn’t take any more. The dish was like old brown fatty dish water with zero taste! The king prawns were well over cooked & old, smelt way to fishy to be fresh & way to tough. Best part of the whole meal was the poppadom & mango chutney. The menu is too big that cafe & quality is missed. Disgusting 🤮

WOW! I’ve had many takeaways from ToI over the years and they’ve always been good, but last night’s Chicken Jalfrezi absolutely excelled on top of that both my wife and I agreed the onion Bhajis were the best we’ve ever had, outside of India. Delivery was on time and food hot.

Our order arrived nearly an hour late after being given a delivery time of 40-60 minutes. When I politely called to chase the order I gave my exact address and the man on the phone was very rude explaining that I wasn’t the only customer and wasn’t being clear enough when I was perfectly clear and gave my address twice to make sure he had heard correctly. Once our order finally arrived the food was almost cold (we had to reheat it at home) with two meals and two naan breads completely missing. I called the restaurant to explain and the man who answered the phone was once again very rude, did not offer an apology and told me he could not give me an estimated delivery time for my food. We are so disappointed and will not eat here again after this experience.

Passing through and needed a quick bite, Not great food, dry chicken and naan, lacks spice and taste. service staff were quite rude to a young couple and sneered at them for asking for some water with there meal. Def would not come here again.

I spent £75 on this and it was genuinely the worst Indian takeaways I’ve ever had. The naan was dry and like cardboard, they forgot a rice, the tikka masala sauce was horrible, the chicken tasted funky. The saag pannner had virtually no cheese and was tasteless. I ordered a green salad and I got 1 slice of cucumber, ONE cherry tomato and a tiny amount of lettuce. Absolutely disgusting.

Not eaten at this restaurant, but cant believe the video of the blind lady & the refusal of a dog. This has to be a scam. 1st, why would anyone video a night in an Indian. Secondly he said we are blind. What's he doing with a cam. ?? Ok, he might be partially blind. t just doesn't seem right.

We've been visiting several times, and each time, staffs have been polite and friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Would go there again whenever we fancy an Indian meal.

Had a wonderful meal today. They opened up specially for us at lunch time, and the tandoori was to die for. 10/10 would recommend.

Was visiting Kings Lynn so been there for my lunch to taste the food. But the way they were treating their customers n refusing blind people. I simple off my seat n out coz there’s more options for eating then why I should go there where no humanity. If they need their business running then they will have to change the rules n their attitude. Otherwise this time of covid hundreds of business went burst.

I dined in. The service was great. Despite lots of tables arriving at the same time, the staff rushed around and made sure that everyone quickly got something on their tables (drinks, poppadoms etc) so we were all comfortable while they took the main orders. The food itself was delicious. I had the "magic mushroom" starter which seemed novel. At least I have never seen it anywhere else before. It was good anyway. Then for main I had the fish balti. This was marked as hot but it was not too hot, more like medium. It was very tasty and spicy though. The portions were a good size too.

Refusing to serve a blind person and screaming and shouting at the poor person is absolutely unacceptable. You claim the member of staff "didn't know". It is your responsibility to ensure your staff do know, and regardless of training issues, the human common sense thing to do is to allow the person entry irrespective if your member of staff knew or not, so the lack of training dosn't wash with me. Would be terrified to visit this restaurant just in case I got screamed at for something that isn't my first

Amazing food, amazing staff and amazing service. Please do not let a couple of ignorant people looking for trouble with their guide dog, who came in recording looking for trouble fool you. The manager is amazing in person and showed that in the video, yet the 2 attention seekers tried to humiliate and destroy a lovely restaurant. God knows how these kind of people sleep at night knowing they could ruin someone's livelihood. AGAIN AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. Their was obviously a language barrier initially, locals bring in dogs and this was explained and resolved and they were both invited in with their guide dog AND REFUSED TO EAT, were they really hungry? On my first visit to King's Lynn I found this gem, on returning how could I not return?! The food is awesome, it takes me back to travels in India. The flavours exciting and subtlely balanced, the textures delicate and overall divine. Brilliant restaurant! Where is everyone tho, this place would be full in a city.

Saw the video circulating about the guide dog. The female staff member clearly had limited English and was visibly scared of the dog. The manager came out and apologised and explained that the female staff member didn't know about guide dogs. You can bet the female staff member had a good talking to after this. In the current climate where restaurants are struggling; for people to then absolutely slate the restaurant and leave them negative reviews even though the restaurant has owned their mistake and apologised is a poor representation of what a minor part of the British public are like. Wishing you all the best to the Real Taste of India and I hope to visit when I am in the area with a positive mindset unlike the reviewer below.

I’ve just seen a video containing a rude member of staff refusing a couple with guide dogs into your restaurant. Staff clearly need some training on people with disabilities. She didn’t know is not an exceptional answer. By other comments here you really need to look at your customer service also. I will visit when we’re next in the area.

They do allow guide dogs, it was a mistake from a staff member that was rectified by management and the whole story has been misreported and misunderstood by people. Negative reviews saying they don't allow guide dogs are wrong. Can't comment on the food and restaurant as a whole but it's important to clear up false information that are leading people to slander a business.

Rude staff! Explains why no one was in the restaurant when we popped in yesterday. We aren’t from kings Lynn, we were visiting for the weekend and popped in to see if we could order some food while waiting for our taxi. The man working there said he didn’t want us in there and he wouldn’t serve us for food! Disgusting customer service.

Vegan chicken tikka masala with rice and a naan bread. So sweet I could not eat it. Massive pieces of potatoes swimming in it and the naan was soggy and cheep taste. The delivery was quick and the rice was ok.

Ordered over £80 worth of food to take away.. To say it discusting is a massive understatement. King prawns that had absolutely no resemblances to a prawn. Chicken chow mein that was dry and stringy even though it can soaked in chicken gravy... I think that what it was. Satay chicken that was tandoori chicken covered in peanut butter. Sweet and sour sause that was a watered down sweet chilly sauce. I work hard as a front line worker for my wages and this was a complete waste of my hard earned money. When we rang to complain I was told "what do want me to do about it" I just hope this review help other to avoid.

I wouldn't even give this place a star!! The attitude of the staff was absolutely disgusting, the chicken chow mein was the worst I've EVER had! I've had bigger portions and much better tasting from a freezer meal in aldi!! The king prawns (apparently)looked nothing like king prawns, the batter was stodgy and the meat was as chewy as hell. Oh and the sweet and sour sauce was more watered down sweet chilli. The price was extortionate for the size and quality. Over £50 for something that is going straight in the bin!! The worst food i have ever seen and tasted, definitely do not recommend! When one of our party rang to complain, the reply was "what do you want me to do about it?” shouldn't be serving food you cannot cook!!

The real taste of Indian cuisine, very recommend.

Greasy fare with stale pre made poppadoms. Our cutlery just clumped on the table top, there was loud personal conversation from the kitchen. When fellow guests left with the polite excuse of looking for South Indian food, the waitress said "South Indian...what are they thinking, this is England!". Not impressed.

Really enjoyed our meal there. Lovely spicy food and nice people serving. We've had great evening thanks to them ☺️
