Taste Of China in Harrow

The portions are really small, the sweet and sour chicken was hard! Noodles were extremely greasy. Long story short I have been up puking and other stuff, this is not good food. I highly wouldn’t recommend this place.

Pretty good food. Pleasant staff. If the quality is as good next time I try it I may upgrade it to 5 stars. Update: Excellent and cheap vegetarian spring rolls, excellent and large chow mein, very good hot and sour soup. Now 5 stars. Best Chinese takeaway near Ruislip.

So today I am trying to order from here I have been trying to call over a period of an hour and all it has said is line busy !! I have called over 20 times so else where I go 💁🏼‍♀️

This place is so good. Amazing food and brilliant value for money. One of the last places where you can get a decent takeaway for two people for £30. Highly recommended.

Great food, the best chicken in black bean sauce and singapore noodles I have tired via takeaway. Polite and responsive staff with option to pay by cash or card. On a busy Sunday evening, the food was ready to collect in 10 minutes with complimentary fortune cookies and prawn crackers. Overall fantastic value for money, 3 people ate at just over £10 per person. Thank you!

Best chinese takeaway I have had so far, the food we get is always fresh I already tried them a few times, ordered different items from the menu but never disappointed. Definitely coming back. 👍🏻

First off we have been ordering food from here for over 20years the food is always great it was 2 days ago we ordered food it came quick as usuallwrong flavour of soup, so as you do you phoned up to get the right soup well the person was adamant that's what I ordered I don't even like the soup they sent never mind order it, well the persons attitude was so bad trying to resolve this which they didn't that am not going to order from here again, my loss but attitude like that on the phone a don't need it in my life

Excellent chinese food. Must visit if you r in harrow. Not far from Harrow on the Hill metro station, referred to as underground in UK. Try Roasted Duck with Pancakes.

Really enjoyed our take away from Taste of China. The service was excellent and dishes were all very nice. We will definitely be back to try more of the extensive menu.

Had the misfortune of the worst Aromatic duck I've ever had. Dry, hard and tasteless (looked like it had been deep fried to oblivion) - the pancakes were sticky, inedible, a weird colour - like they were old or poorly reheated. Most went in the bin! Other dishes were bland and pointless - never again

Tried this takeaway for the first time last night and I was really impressed! The food was piping hot and full of flavour with generous portion sizes. Friendly and efficient service also. This will now be a regular for my friends and I.

I have been loyal customer for 6 years but the order I have received today .. I am speechless. It's been going down the heel , but mu order that I placed today was .ets just say I am polish and I can maje better Chinese myself .I have ordered mushrooms chow main , there was half a mushroom only.I have also ordered chicken how main , it consistet mayhe 1/2 of chicken wing where the meat was pulled out of the boje that was cooked in the broth for hours I have also ordered smoked chicken ,it was dark and dry and cold and tasted like something out if the rubbish bag.I have also ordered shredded beed and It wasn't even beef. I have been ordering the same food for years and I can definitely tell the difference between how food tasted three years ago and how it tastes now.Will never ordered again 😑

Hard to find good Chinese takeaway in Harrow but finally found it! Reasonable price, good vegetarian options and great quality. Highly recommend the crispy shredded beef with chilli and mock chicken + broccoli with black bean sauce.

Used this place for decades. Best chinese food around by a country mile. Would never go anywhere else. Have done and regretted it.

Everytime we have ordered from here we have specifically specified over and over and over again we are pure veg and don’t add egg. We’re a pure veg religious family. They continue to add to our dishes and are quite rude on the phone when we tell them. Definitely not ordering from here again.

It is a takeout join. You order and pick or get it delivered. Order was served quickly we had yo sit for approximately 8-10mins after ordering the food. The food was tasty and the quantity was decent for 1 peron.

Not happy. Will not order again. They charged me more than the price on the menu. Thought price gone up.but they send the updated menu in my order and noticed no changes to the price. Also added 1.00 for delivery. Menu says over 15pounds free delivery. My order was over 20pounds. Not sure why she charged for 1pound. .

We looked for a new Chinese Takeaway as the one we were using went downhill. After a brief research, we came across Taste of China. So glad we tried this take- away !! The food was deeeeeeelicious !!! It was warm and tasty. The staff were friendly and we received some fortune cookies and cans of complimentary drinks which was a lovely touch. Having ordered for many years from a place in Ruislip that closed down during covid, we struggled to find a decent Chinese. We phoned to order a delivery and unfortunately they didn’t deliver but no issues, we’d go and collect instead. We ordered 1 1/2 ducks, a shedload of dishes and it came to £119 for 8 of us which was super reasonable. Upon arriving at the takeout shop it’s always reassuring to see it busy which it was! We paid swiftly, the owner had thrown in a bottle of Coke and extra prawn crackers which was a lovely touch too! On our journey home we got a phone call from the restaurant. It turns out they had an extra box of duck in the shop and couldn’t work out which order it was from; they feared it was from ours. We returned home and checked, we were missing an entire box of duck. Not wanting to make the journey back to collect it, we opted to simply ask for a refund. They did however offer to deliver the missing duck to us, when we weren’t in their delivery area! This was most certainly above and beyond! Much to our amazement when it turned up, the owner delivered the food himself and he also gave us a box of chocolates to say sorry! It goes without saying we just found our new Chinese takeaway. Not only incredible service but the food was also amazing, every dish was perfect. We will definitely be back!!

Having moved into the area 2 years ago, we have tried a few different Chinese takeaways. This one is by far the best. A great selection on the menu and the food is always good. Can't fault it.

We have been going to the taste of China for over 10 years now and I can honestly say we have never been disappointed with either the food or the service even when it changed ownership everything carried on as it always had as far as my experience. In a nut shell you get very good Chinese food quickly and reasonably priced - what more can you ask for plus I’ve personally always found the staff very friendly

Been going to this restaurant since the age of 7. Kim and her team have always ensured the food is absolutely quality. I’ve recommended so many people here. Since she’s left the food has COMPLETELY gone down hill. Gave in and ordered a lunch special sweet and sour chicken balls and rice. Batter and chicken uncooked, rice soggy, sauce tastes completely off and different. Called in and received a fresh order SAME THING except the chicken was extra deep fried. Really not pleased, traditional childhood favourite restaurant down the drain. Never , ever again. Basically trying to give people food poisoning.

Brilliant food, quick service and reasonable prices. Salt and pepper chips were delicious as was the kung po chicken - more spicy than sweet (just the way I like it). Pleased to have this local Chinese on my doorstep.

This rating is on basis of three items of food I've had from here. Pepper ribs came in small pieces and were very tasty and quite meaty too. Sea spicy chicken, my first time to try, was not bad but I might not try again. The third dish, chicken curry, was appalling. It was mostly capsicum and whatever chicken was there did not taste like chicken. It was like come artificial thing. No taste of curry at all. I might go for the ribs again, though.

Got food from there last night and I wasn't that impressed. Used to be the only place I would go to but didn't realise Kim had retired. Not as nice as it used to be. Had a banana fritter and the banana was rock hard and completely inedible. People were nice but the food not so. Time to find a new take away unfortunately.

£31.00 for 5 items…. The smallest portions ever! We are so shocked by this given the reviews- thought it’d be amazing but far from it! The chicken is dry and tasteless, chow mien had no flavour! Duck was rock solid and duck sauce tasted like perfume 🤮. Not nice food at all and will definitely not be back!! These reviews must be fake 🤔

Best Chinese place in Northolt since Kim and husband has retired the place and the food has got much better I ordered today number 111 crispy chilli beef and beef with vegetables and chilli order number 110 and egg fried rice makes a change from what we normally order and I will tell you what the food was absolutely mouthwatering delicious amazing well prepared I will continue to use this restaurant keep up the hard work and the preservation many thanks

A favourite of mine for a Friday takeaway

Staff were incredibly rude referring to my daughter as 'you lady' as he pointed across the shop at her to tell her how much our order was. The food itself is greasy and disgusting so all in all I would steer well clear of these rude ignorant people oh and also they break the munimum card spend rules insiting you spend at least £15 to payback card. Not impressed remotely won't be returning and will be telling all my friends and family to stay away too!!

This is the best Chinese takeaway that we have ever used! The staff are all on first name terms with my partner Jim when he goes to collect it. It was very busy tonight being New Years Eve, but it was well worth the wait for the delicious food. Also, I am really happy that this local business is so successful. We ordered £120 worth of food and it was delicious , the delivered at 5:20 for dinner in a big box and it was all hot still. Everyone said how good it was and I would highly recommend!

Used for years and always have great service and food. Always happy to adjust dishes to cater for individual wants and tastes and food freshly cooked every time. Delivery has always been accurate and food always arrives on time, fresh and delicious. A favourite treat for myself and my kids without a shadow of a doubt. Definitely one of the better take away places in the area (and we have tried most)😂

I Use Taste Of China quite a lot. Since using Taste Of China I find their food excellent. The people working there are so polite and kind. It’s one of the best Chinese I ever eat out of. It is worth the money and worth waiting for.

Taste of china is my regular for over 5 years. The staff is very friendly and the food are always excellent. They say star are earned they sure deserved the 5 star rating as it's the best take away in Ruslip. Excellent choice from a take away with dishes like a high class resturant. Love love this place highly recommend it. Our last meal was last night what a great start to the new year we had a little party with my family with loads of nice starter . There crispy duck was amazing and there noodle was amazing. Make taste of china your next take away. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

The food is always fantastic at Taste of China in Ruislip on Field End Road. I have been using this Chinese take away for many years and never had a problem. I ordered last night it was New Year’s Eve, I did have to wait a little longer than expected but it was well worth the wait! If your favourite Chinese has a long wait time, it means their food is very good and popular in the area. Thank you.

Placed an order. Told to collect in 30mins. When arrived, (which had already given them 10 mins extra) was told it would be 10 more minutes but I actually waited a further 45 minutes at the shop. I understand they were busy ...but if your kitchen can't keep up with the orders you need to stop taking orders! Food was ok but would not use again.

Really disappointed with them. Was really excited to order and tried for 20 minutes to get through to order only to be told they won't deliver to me because living in a boatyard was "suspicious" Called oriental chef instead who I did not have to wait to talk to and delivered excellent hot food.

For the last 3 years this place has been our go to for a weekend treat. The food tonight was terrible. Ordered soups,they both tasted really sweet and gloopy. The roasted duck was dry and they forgot the plum sauce which they wanted us to go back and collect!!The chow mein was tasteless and bland. Think the chef has changed,either way will be looking for a new Chinese where our £30 quid is well spent!!

The food was actually amazing better than I expected

This place is one of my favourite places to get a Chinese! I love their Kung Po chicken along with their Crispy Chicken which is so tasty. Their soups especially the hot and sour is amazing.

Had an amazing takeaway from here, everything was delicious. Really good to find good vegan mock meat options. I had veggie Singapore rice noodles without egg, salt & pepper chips, crispy seaweed, salt & pepper mock chicken & mock chicken in sweet chilli sauce. My son had mock duck with pancakes & chips & my non vegan family members really enjoyed their meals too, also perfect service 👌🏼

Our local take away in Northolt. Food is fresh, always very tasty. It gets busy so expect to be held on the line when you call, but be patient you will be dealt with.

I’ve been eating here for years and the food is always top quality and portion sizes are good. I always collect from the shop as they get so many deliveries waiting times can be over an hour. I would recommend this take away as the best in the area.

Worst customer service ever! Was standing waiting to be served she ignored & when she took order was rude. She said hurry up before i get a phone call. At the end she slammed food and walked off. Have ordered take away from here over the past 15 years unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down hill. The portions have become smaller and the chicken is no longer as fresh as it use to be. I ordered my usual kung po chicken a few weeks ago and some of the pieces were so hard and tough i couldnt even cut it. A few weeks before this the noodles were burnt. Such a shame as i use to love this place.

Duck Szechuan, pork Peking dishes very tasty although the pork could have been softer. Singapore noodle and special rice had plenty of pork, prawns and spice. Better than most Chinese takeaways. Prepared for over an hour wait for delivery but you are warned before hand so it's up to you when you want to eat and order working backwards in time. After all it's a takeaway so your order is not the only one and allow for traffic- if your'e not prepared to wait or expect instant delivery then order from another takeaway. Worth eating the dishes as tasty compared to others. Enjoyed our meal, delivery man polite and actually before time stated! Thanks.

Having just ordered a £28 takeaway & being told it could take up to an hour for delivery it was finally delivered after 90 minutes by an arrogant delivery driver, as I should have expected all the food was cold/luke warm, the onion in the curry was raw and the batter on the cold chicken balls was soggy, most of our order was thrown out, terrible food with terrible service, will never use this place again

This is the best Chinese we've found in the area such a shame it took me 12 years to find! Great food always hot and fresh. Good value. Defo deserves 5*
