I will not recommend this restaurant to eat because the staff is very worst the service is worst also employee Mr.ming is very disrespectful and bad person who is not serving customer with hospitality and care and the food is 5/10.

Usually, I went for the one in Baker Street. However, due to congestion charges and parking, I decided I went for this one. No queues, good services, and plates are served on the table extremely fast. I will always come here instead

Really sad order on uber eats and really cold and also not much meat anymore , it’s really gone down hill this place what a shame used to be really good , contact right away and the manager won’t do anything not interested as customer long time , told him it’s cold and not much meat he just said contact Uber eats but they don’t help . I would recommend going to another Chinise business this is not a family business anymore

My friend sent the crispy duck back as it was overcooked and dry. They didn't take it off the bill. £40+ a head and it wasn't really much better than any other Chinese I've had for half the price.

Not very happy with the service. The plates were chipped, the teapot was full of water marks, old tea stain and oily on surfaces (basically not cleaned before serving), the staffs seemed unmotivated. Place looked less lively and tacky. Hope for the improvements.

Food was delicious, the entrance floor could do with a good sweep which let the venue down as first impressions are important. The salt and pepper ribs were lovely but portion was small. Food generally has an authentic taste

I liked this restaurant... used to be privately owned and it was very famous... now it is a franchise.. not as good but the food was nice ... a bit pricey with some dishes but overall a nice dinner experience... the service was good ... l would try again

Father's day. It was busy but not crazy busy, the service was smooth and polished, and a nice change to the usual manic style that we've become accustomed to at our usual haunt. The food was good, decent portion sizes. Shame the dim sum menu isn't available after 5pm, as we wanted a number of items from it - the memory of dim sum from the Baker St branch is still etched on my tastebuds. Anyway we had: - Half Crispy Duck - good - Soft Shell Crab - nice - Chicken with Chilli in Chiu Chow Style - this is actually very spicy! - Szechuan Chicken - nice but there was a lot more veg than chicken. - Crispy Shredded Beef in Birds Nest - good, but was missing the birds nest pastry! - Seafood in Spicy Sauce - this is essentially a hot pot, which wasn't spicy. Like the Szechuan Chicken, there was a lot of veg, I had to dig around to hunt for the seafood. - Various Rice's - Garlic, Egg, Fukien, and Veg - very good size portions. On the whole, nothing special stands out, just a nice family evening out.

Extremely disappointed just ordered from here on Uber eats saying no onions in the food but the food arrived full of onions in fact it might as well have been the main ingredient I spent £31.50 absolutely disgusted

Popped in as finished work early. I had cravings for the soft shell crab. It was delicious, beautifully coated with the right amount of salt and chilli. This was washed down with a couple of ice cold beers. Lovely lunch!

Food was nice, what you would expect really but not special. Service and ambience was ok. The servings were small and the food seriously expensive. Overall there is a real cheap vibe, it just felt a bit mean. No table cloths, no serviettes, small sizes and v expensive food.

Awful place staff don’t have any customer service or courtesy. Never ever go again. Unless you have two hours to wait for food.

Such lovely helpful staff who quickly set up a larger dining table for our party of seven and were happy to serve us the cake we had brought to celebrate our mother's 89th birthday. The food was delicious and the cake was served perfectly with the candles lit, serving plates and knife for cutting. Very impressed with friendliness and professionalism.

Very enjoyable evening @Royal China, Harrow! They put on an amazing and wonderful Lion Dance Performance (for Chinese New Year), really entertaining and the kiddies were gifted a soft Dragon toy each! Always experience great food here, I especially loved the mixed starter platter today which had all my favourites, the crispy duck pancakes and the chicken in black bean sauce! Service was speedy and kind, with efforts to clear empty plates quickly which I liked. The only thing I don’t like is that when you order soft drinks you get it poured into a glass and you don’t receive the whole amount from the can. Never the less, I enjoyed my evening here and appreciated the sweet gesture to give customers a valentine gift as they leave 😊

Delicious food. Nice to support a local business. It's a shame some of the niceties such as the white clothes to cover the tables e.t.c are gone, but it's understandable considering the pandemic has probably hit this store hard.

Absolutely disgusting! Have used before, gave benefit of doubt to try again, 2nd time even worse! Food is not fresh, delivered really cold, the chicken satay for starters is leftovers, was rock hard and stale! Very poor, would not even feed to my dog! Definitely never using again and prices well over the top for the disgusting food you get in return! About to hit the toilet again to offload it... because thats where it belongs!!! 🥵

The staff is very friendly and warm-hearted, especially the man working on afternoon, 20 October. He is very kind, polite and gentle, impressed me a lot.

The phone listed on the website and on google maps DOES NOT WORK!!! Took ages for the ubereats driver to collect so I wanted to call and tell the restaurant to keep the order and I would collect myself. But the listed phone is wrong. Infuriating and shameful. We have been their customers for years. Food quality has been slowly deteriorating. Now also logistics and phone details. Will not order from them again or visit the restaurant.

It’s a bummer that there is no dim sum after 5pm. The BBQ pork is good. The aubergine with minced prawns is a bit oily. Available dessert is a bit limited.

Great food and excellent service

Unfortunately standard of this place is going down. No more linen table cloths, no more linen napkins, decor dated, portions have come down quite a lot yet prices have gone up a lot. Apart from that food was tasty and good.

Came for dimsum. The skins on the dumplings were too thick for my liking. The cheung fun and prawns was very fresh though, and the service was quick. The crab noodles used canned mushrooms.

No prawn crackers given until we asked for them. Seems like they are penny pinching for the smallest thing. Average tasting food and the place lacked much atmosphere. Our main issue was at 9.15pm a lady came and asked to take our order for our mains. We had just finished our starters and wasn't given anytime to look at the menu. The lady said the kitchen was closing in 5 mins. I told her that you should've given us a 30 min warning at least, and told her to come back in 5 mins. Another lady then came back after 2 mins and rudely asked for our order. The young waitress was lovely and so was the gentleman in the suit. But the 2 older waitresses were very rude and left a bad impression. Definitely won't be coming back here again!

The service was awful, i have never been a Chinese restaurant where you do not get complimentary prawn crackers, even when ordering a take away you always get prawn crackers on the house. Sad to say that Royal China have dispensed with that tradition, we got charged for prawn crackers. The food this time round was dreadful, luke warm, bland, the shredded crispy beef was shredded chewy beef, no birds nest as advertised. What a public display of penny-pinching, it was truly pitiful, charge for prawn crackers, no table linen, not even a napkin, only a small paper thing. One has to ask, if they are penny-pinching in public, what penny-pinching are we not seeing? one can only speculate, could explain only being awarded a 4 on the green sticker???? We shall give this place a wide berth.

Service was great! Delicious food arrived quickly, the resturant is nicely decorated, in my opinion it is very authentic! Bathrooms are clean. Only wished there was a bit of music.

A friend invited me and another friend to a birthday meal. She ordered a variety of food. The service was great. You don't have to wait too long after your order for food. Their food is very nice we enjoyed it very much. A very vibrant atmosphere.

Two very rude staff members. the young manager is so much nicer. the woman came and said rudely the moment that we put down our chopsticks to ask are you guys full now and started taking away the plates and cups quickly and loudly. we have two very young kids and she even knocked over a cup of hot tea, and then the glass of water. no sorry. then the payment bit, the old man came and see my amex and threw it to the table saying we don't take that. worst attitude I have ever had. not to the restaurant but to these two staff members. I know you have people waiting, but this is not the right attitude.

I ordered Mix vegetable ho fun and vegetarian ma poh tofu via Uber eats. It was horrible and tasteless. Never tasted such bland Chinese food in my life. It went straight to the dustbin there is no sauce in the world that could save it. I feel bad wasting food but it was completely unpalatable.

Quiet, clean and good food. Employees are very respectful and the store itself is quite clean compared to other Chinese Restaurants they are very clean. Their soup is very tasty, unlike others that are just pure salty. The atmosphere is kind of dark though, I wish that they would fix the lighting better. Now here is the reason why it's only 4 and not 5. There is no extravagant about the food or the place. It doesn't stand out which makes you feel like "oh I want to come back." If we are going to scale it. It's between average and good. So yes it's on the good side but I know that you understand what I'm trying to say. It lacks that x-factor that makes you say, okay I will definitely come back. Overall a good experience.

Overall a very good experience.

The manager accommodated us on a busy Saturday evening despite having limited tables. The food and service were excellent as usual with my childhood favourite crispy noodles with chicken hitting the spot. Surprisingly it wasn't particularly expensive either. They serve all the traditional Cantonese foods but also cater for those who aren't used to certain foods. The restaurant and toilets probably need a slight freshening up but I still enjoy coming here.

I am a regular take away customer and have been using them at least once a month for many years. Unfortunately, since the turn of the year, portions are now significantly smaller and now most dishes (apart from rice dishes) barely half fill a small Chinese container. Worse still, the Char-Sui pork, an old family favourite is now repeatedly over-cooked and getting smaller with each delivery. With the meal this evening the Char-Sui pork has been mainly untouched and is being left for our dog who, thankfully still seems very keen on it. Unfortunately, neither our dog nor us really touched the beef Ho-Fun noodles, as the beef was completely over-cooked and the dish had large clumps of white (unmixed) flat noodles, very poor. One clump of white noodles took up half the Chinese container and really should have been spotted and rectified by the chef. With dishes costing between £12-15 each, Royal China still charge a premium compared to the regular Chinese takeaways in our area; but with standards falling and portion sizes halving I suspect that better value and tastier dishes can now be found pretty much anywhere else. It is a shame when a long standing restaurant comprises on its food quality and I hope Royal China read this review and address issues of food quality especially with the evening chefs, as frankly some of dishes I received today should never have been sent.

Ambiance lacking and restaurant has done alot of cut backs so no longer put table cloths on the table and provide snacks upon arrival whilst we wait for food. The waitress even used the same glass to top up a beverage which was quite shocking as I've never experienced this there before. The food and service was ok to good I guess. We've been going there for a while and would say it is going downhill. Not much choice as a lot of Chinese restaurants locally have closed down and ones remaining is not to taste.

This place had thee BEST food , great service and nice staff. They were very accommodating and let me dine in and order 15mins b4 kitchen closed. I'll definitely be back when I'm in London again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Golden Chinese in Harrow, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The chef at this restaurant has truly mastered the art of creating mouthwatering dim sums that are simply finger-licking good, especially their supreme vegetarian option. During my visit, our group was lucky to have the assistance of a waiter named Wendy, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Her attentive and friendly nature made us feel welcome, and she was particularly helpful to one of our members who spoke Chinese. Wendy's ability to bridge the language barrier and provide excellent service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Moving on to dessert, I must admit that the mango dish was just alright. While it was satisfying, it didn't quite reach the same level of excellence as the dim sums. Nonetheless, it provided a refreshing end to the meal. Overall, Golden Chinese in Harrow is a restaurant that truly stands out for its outstanding dim sums and the remarkable skills of its chef. The presence of Wendy as our waiter, with her exceptional assistance, further enhanced our dining experience. If you're a fan of flavorful dim sums, this restaurant should definitely be on your list of places to visit.

I bought a whole duck is not really good, skin separated from the flesh, and some parts of the duck look very strange seem like put them together. last week I bought a half and think it was so delicious, today I came to the restaurant again by train spent half hour, but disappointed…

Really horrid vegetarian Singapore noodles that tasted more like chow mein with bean sprouts and some chilli. None of the distinctive Singapore noodles taste at all. Some of the noodles were over cooked and dry and hard in places. The oil had leaked in the bag and cold drinks packed into one bag with hot food

We had the restaurant to ourselves. Some things on the menu were not available and not impressed with lettuce wraps and rice getting sweetcorn, peas and carrots.

Food was horrible and not able to eat over charged money plus the food quality was very poor no refund plus they did not care about the order at all never order from here.

They managed to find the smallest plates on market to buy so they can serve the mains. We paid 75 pounds for white rice and tea and for that reason- its hard to justify to ever plan to have our dinner there ever again.

The food in this place is absolutely disgusting, I ordered food for my guest tonight and I got really embarrassed! Instead of a mixed vegetable noodles they sent me a dry horrible noodles with no vegetable, the shredded beef was just dry and not chewable, the rest of the food was not fresh in general and I’m absolutely shocked as royal china used to be good but now it doesn’t worth a penny! Do not order from here!

Ordered a takeaway on New Year's Eve. Lousy service. It took about an extra hour on top of the allocated time. Kept extending the time by 10mins and 10 mins and 10mins........When finally collected the order, half was warm and another half hottish The prices were extortionist and the portion size was reduced to less than two-thirds full. Not impressed and would never go there again, Very Disappointed.

Nice place but most of the staff members are NOT friendly. They make you feel like you made the wrong decision coming in the moment you enter. No smiles, no welcoming words. Blank stares and a few LONG awkward minutes as you are made to assume someone will help you with the seating. Food is good, portion sizes are good but I'm not going back if I can help it. It is a busy restaurant and that's good but it's nice to be welcomed, you know.

Very disappointing 😞 We went there for a family Christmas Dinner and a food was just awful. No taste at all!!!! Even egg fried rice was overcooked and without any taste,same noodles,a meet was without flavour. All meals was cold. It was a shame because few years it was our favourite restaurant. 😞😞😞

One of the best in West London. Royal China has a strong history, and we are so pleased to have a branch open in Harrow.

The dim sum here is top class on the weekends. Always super fresh and better than most places in central London due not being crazy busy all the time so the dim sum chefs can really make outstanding dim sum! Go here for dim sum you won't be disappointed!

First and last time, food boring, cold plates, hoovering around our table while we were eating

Unbelievable how the standards have dropped at Royal China. Once a bustling restaurant was was all but empty yesterday and I can only think it's the quality of the food. This restaurant uses the cheapest ingredients, and bulks up food with cheap ingredients. We ordered stir fried foods and it mostly contained chunky onions. Aubergine peels were mixed with few pieces of aubergine, cucumber for the duck came as peels because the cucumber flesh was used to make some other dish. It seems the chef was given a challenge to make as many dishes from 1 vegetable as possible. The lettuce for lettuce wrap was limp and old. Even cheap Chinese buffet restaurants serve better quality of food than Royal China. The only nice thing about the restaurant was the staff.

You can pay for high for good food. Plus you have vegetarian option as well. But be careful while selecting if you are not regular to know what are you ordering.

I am a regular here for lunch, that dim sum menu is something special. We got the prawn and chive dumplings, prawn dumplings, prawn cheung fun, sesame prawn toast (my favourite), soft shell crab, salt and pepper fried green beans and squid in black bean sauce. The squid wasn’t great as it was too chewy but everyone else was on point and delicious. Make sure to ask for a bowl to mix some soy sauce and chilli oil in! Our total bill was £60 which is reasonable. Came back for dinner, unfortunately they don’t do many dumplings for dinner and one of the servers isn’t the nicest. We got the szichaun prawns which were good but the portion of prawns was quite low. I have amended my rating to 4 stars.

Food was excellent, service was always good there. The small issue was the blinds was not so good as a blinding sunlight kept getting through and shining on our face. Didn't get offer to change tables even though there was loads of free tables. That's the only negative. Love this place and always go back.

Why the portion of the dim sum are all three? Otherwise, It's authentic Chinese restaurant.
