The idlee was well presented and a perfect taste .Paper Dosa could be crispier to taste melting in my mouth 💯Sambhar was served hot 🔥but unfortunately they don't give Rasam as an alternative..Also the mouth freshener at the end has been stopped! What a pity !

Visited last month, food quality was really good. Absolutely tasty and flavourful. But the service put us off, the waiting staff kept on looking our table throughout and as soon as we finished eating they were in a hurry to clear the table and while we were talking asked us to pay the bill and clear the table which we felt was so unprofessional. Hence the total experience was bit bad.

Loved the food, especially the sambar! Podi idly was really tasty. All dishes are reasonably priced. I have visited twice and I will still visit again!

I’m not sure how the food, but I wanted to share my experience from two years ago when I visited their Wembley branch during Diwali. At the time, I was suffering from a severe stomach infection, so I brought homemade vegetable rice (khichdi) with me, as I was too unwell to eat restaurant food. My husband, however, ordered a thali for himself, and I only got a yogurt drink to go with my tiffin. Shortly after, the staff approached me and informed me that outside food wasn’t allowed. I explained my health condition, but they still came by several times to ask me not to eat my homemade food. It was really upsetting; I ended up eating with tears in my eyes because I felt there was a lack of empathy and understanding. I hope they take this feedback into consideration and improve their service at the new branch.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Saravanaa Bhavan.The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish cooked to perfection. The highlight of the evening was the exceptional service provided by Ardhra. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm personality truly enhanced our experience. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends.

Not getting proper service, ordered 2 veg sabzi n they give 1 n then after 15 mins lady came n was checking on table did we get it or not , when I order butter naan they delivered after 20 mins n say we forget about it sorry… so this was a next to third class service ..

Food in South Indian style. Ghee Kara dosa is very delicious and vada sambar at its best. Servers pushing to order fast is a let down.

1) Service : People don't even know how to serve beer. 2) Food quantity is less as compared to rate 3) Steel plates are there and that too moving while eating . Is this kind of plates need to keep ? 4) People who is serving don't know. Once the beer is ordered room temperature then if customer order another beer then same condition applied . Infact the person telling customer that "this time you didn't informed so brought child beer ". I think don't visit this place if you are payiNv good amount and required good service .

Very bad experience with take away Chana Masala....how can anyone expect common gravy for all Sabji....I tried various Punjabi Sabji but found common gravy with the same taste...I have confirmed that it must be fresh and not common gravy yet Chana Masala (actually it seems curry of chana, watery gravy, very thin). I would suggest idli and dhosa from here which are really nice.....but Punjabi Sabji are just experiences. Quality, Quantity and price does not justify Chana Masala.

We have been going to this place Rayners Lane branch for a very long time. But the last two visits were very disappointing. On one occasion, after finishing our meal when I went up to pay at the till, my wife was waiting at the table, the waiter asked her what are you waiting for? Extremely rude! On the last occasion they got the order wrong they gave a very spicy version of my order and main course came before the starter. When my sister complained to the manager there was not apology or compensation. We now go to Harrow for authentic south Indian food.

Delicious vegetarian food with plenty of options. I had north Indian thali, it was enough for 2 people. Good quantity.

Any of you customers willing to go here please think again. I ordered a plain dosa expecting it to be decent sized thinking it would be better due to the already HIGH cost of it but IT WAS BARELY BIGGER THAN THE SIZE OF ME HOLDING IT WITH 2 HANDS. Even the waiters there acted so stingily treating you like a circus monkey ready to be ridiculed by everyone;it overall made you feel like a begger due to the poor service. On top of that the samber and chutney wasn't good at all and when I called for a waiter they kept on chirping away in my ear in a language i couldnt understand while stinglily giving the chutney SO PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND LOOSE YOUR SANITY!!!!!!!

We drove a bit for this one and it was all worth it. Had to wait to get a table as it can get extremely busy. We were hoping the Kingsbury branch was open but wasn’t. The food as usual did not disappoint. We enjoy South Indian food and it was perfect for us. Everything tasted as it should. The name brand still lives up to it. Service was efficient and fast as well.

Not a pleasant experience at Rayners Lane Saravana Bhavan, we waited 30 minutes for a table for the table to be given to someone else and made us pay the bill and was asked to leave before our group had finished! A massive let down since East Ham branch is always amazing!

Horrible, just horrible. I used to actually enjoy eating here but now they have put so much spice in their food, it’s unbearable and inedible. Today they messed my order 3 TIMES. Every dish ordered was wrong, and the food quality is bad. Staff were laughing at my complaints and being sarcastic. Food was on another level of oily. Always a waiting.

I ordered online 2 dosas from uber and I received only 1 at 10.30pm, my wife was sick and so we both were hungry, calling the restaurant, staff told me that we have packed both dosas and they’re pretty sure and not accepting the mistake, reported uber and they refunded the money but that’s not the solution, restaurant staff said we are closed now so we ended up sleeping hungry. They don’t have courtesy for customers. We live 0.2 miles from the restaurant.

While the experience was decent, there are opportunities to improve the taste. The Punjab paneer masala tasted a tad-odd in its preparations. The portion size could also be worked upon.

Whenever I want to eat South Indian food, I visit to Sarvana Bhavan. Food is delicious and customer service is excellent👍

Saravanan Bhavan lives up to its reputation for delicious food and this branch does. However, the takeaway service, especially during peak times, could be improved. Consider streamlining the process to reduce wait times and ensure a smoother experience for customers.

You’ll expect waiting times but the food is completely worth it, especially Dosas, vadas and all the sweets. Service is good.

Tastey food. Good service. Great value... Update 28/08/24: another enjoyable visit. Butter milk had various masala making it very tasty. Mushroom 65 is a huge morish meal size portion that is good as a sharer starter. Fried cocktail idli is highly recommended and one plate is not enough. It is that good. Podi kara dosa with cheese is a tailor made dosa that is well hot but thoroughly enjoyable. The Ferrero cheesecake is delightful but comes straight out of the freezer so very hard to cut out a bite size piece. Tip is not included in the bill but felt compelled to tip 15% for an enjoyable experience once again.

Hello. Well worth a visit but go early as you're not able to reserve and the place can get very busy. Lots of dishes to choose from on the large menu. Its a vegetarian and Jain restaurant. Good atmosphere and attentive service. Thank you.

Quick, tasty and delicious south Indian food

A burning smell was coming from samne it was reported but no action wad taken we have to consume same. Quality is poor than India janpath road.

I really love how they maintain the authenticity in every South Indian food option they have. The flavors and aroma are exactly what you would find in the delicacies in southern parts of india. Prices are low (and I hope they don't increase) compared to other similar restaurants in central london. They have an appropriate number of staff, though at weekends you may still find yourselves waiting for 20 mins to get your order as it gets crowded especially during the afternoon. Must try their Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala dosa, Podi dosa, Sambar Vada, Chana Bhatura, Mango Lassi, Faluda (not on the menu but they got it). Expect waiting and queues if you're dining in during the weekends. Weekdays are mostly not too tight.

Nothing can beat food at Sarvanna Bhavan. Home away from home.. Service, food , experience gives you all the comfort and value for money.

I have always been a fan of sarvana bhawan, it kept me well fed in most of the European countries. This one is equally good. I ate here 3 times during my visit to London, found it value for money for most of the dishes except few like cocktail fried Idli(though tasty but insufficient quantity)

I had the most disappointing experience at Saravana Bhavan, and it’s shocking how poor the service and food quality were for such a big franchise. The service was incredibly slow—the food took an eternity to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and utterly tasteless. After eating that food, I struggled terribly with food poisoning, which was the last thing I expected from a place like this. What’s even more frustrating is how the manager responded when I requested a refund. Instead of offering any sort of apology or compensation, he was dismissive and made it clear that my concerns didn’t matter. I would strongly advise against eating here, and I wouldn’t even recommend drinking a glass of water at this place. The experience was awful from start to finish, and I’m shocked that a brand as large as Saravana Bhavan allows such poor standards.

Near harrow, one of the three satavanaa restaurants in UK.. Researched a little about the saravanaa restaurant chains and found out that there are only few which are the original ones and this is one of them.. Good food. I had chana battoora and it was exceptionally good. saravanaa is famous for their tea as well. Good staff , good ambience and tasty food

Amazing food and a slightly busy atmosphere. Food came almost instantly. Staff were very kind. We had panner butter cheese masala dosa, veg noodles, and south indian meals. Very nice experience!

The food, included masala dosa, mini idli, mysore masala, puri channa , paneer 65 , was amazing, and filter coffee super refreshing. Absolutely no complaints! 8 of us (including 4 children and 4 adults) ate for a total of 86£. The toilets are a but congested,thou babychange area is present.

Very fast friendly service and the dosa we ordered arrived very quickly. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean. The food however was a big let down as someone who has frequented this establishment a lot over the years. The sambhal, all chutneys that came with the dosa were ridiculously spicy this time around. I am not sure what made the restaurant change the recipe to make everything so spicy it cannot be enjoyed by everyone, only by those who can handle a lot of heat. Coconut chutney should always be mild, why not have 3 different chutneys with different levels of heat. It was not a good visit regrettably. Seems clear the restaurant does not look at the comments as they have said thank you and nothing else about the spice levels being too high.

One of the best food places to go to without any regrets! I have been here many times and the food have always been amazing. Good thing is they do North and south Indian together so cravings for both cuisines can be satisfied together:) the best Dhosa place in London, definitely recommended 200%. And the service is excellent. It's a win-win.

Saravanaa bhavan Rayners Lane I had repeated FOUR TIMES, all sambars and chutneys separate along with separate masala for 2 rava dosas. Inspite of it you did the same mistake. Everything was clubbed today. If you wish to turn a deaf ear to your customers then take off the QR code for feedback or else I will keep writing about it.

Super hygienic, excellent service, sincere workers, tasty food, quick service.

My go to restaurant for quick authentic south Indian food. Although at peak times there are lines outside the restaurant, the turnaround is fast and people are willing to wait for good food. Would recommend the rava dosa and triveni juice.

I must say that service from praveen is excellent. I have asked a lady for extra glass.... she never turned up. Later on , I asked praveen, and he straight away went gave me in less than a minute. This 5 star is just for him.

After 45 minutes i called and asked about my order then The staff was incredibly slow and unresponsive, unnecessarily long and frustrating. Saravanaa Bhavan is a favourite place of ours to visit for a good simple meal. We have visited many times and each time the service and quality of food is the same good quality. Perfect place to get a great vegetarian meal and you get value for your money here. You can tell how good it really is by the crowd that is always gathered here.

Great authentic restaurant and amazing vegan options. Love the uttapam and dosa; paper dosa is huge and popular, I find it too thin/crispy and get the standard. Service was quick, but they are very busy and not very attentive. However, the person who tops up the chutneys is very efficient! ------ Have visited again since and food was great, service was also much better!

I ordered masala tea with masala dosa. The waiter brought me tea. I said I would like to eat first pls take tea. He took it. Rosa arrived. It was crispy but potato filling no seasoning. The green chutney has no seasoning. Only sambar was good rest all sauce and filling no seasoning. After the dosa, I told a lady waiter to bring my tea. She didn't come and I was waiting for ten min. The restaurant had hardly any customers. I asked the waiter could check my tea, He replied yes yes no problem and waited next to me rather than rushing to check why the tea was getting delayed. I saw a manager with a blue shirt and told him he apologised and said miscommunication so got delayed. Horrible service and food are always ok not so good compared to another outlet. Pls don't go waste of money

Good tasting South Indian food and passable North Indian food. Must try - Idli, Wada, Mango Lassi. Finding parking could be tricky but side-lanes have some spaces available.

Food was good It was busy so waitress was keep asking us are you finished eating or you waiting for another order they are not even allowing us to eat the food but were in hurry to take dishes even while we are eating from the plate It’s weekend we understand but pls allow your customers to finish eating and then take dishes

Lovely food Teresa masala dosa and masala tea so tasty and fresh.

The queue system is extremely bad. The waitress kept saying the table will be available in 10 minutes which is why we kept waiting. We waited 55 minutes before giving up. We kept asking is 10 minutes realistic but it was not. They kept splitting tables instead of giving us a table of 5.

From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. She was incredibly attentive throughout the meal, making sure our glasses were always filled and checking in to see if we needed anything else. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered great recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. It's clear that Aayushi takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the satisfaction of guests. I can't wait to return to , Saravanaa Bhavan and I hope to be served by Aayushi again. Ordered plain dosa and it was served with three different varieties of delicious chutneys and dosa was crispy. Ghee pongal was also yummy again with chutneys. Generally it is crowded over the weekend at this location. Staff services were good and they are friendly and helpful. Much recommended dishes here are idly, medu wada sambhar, my personal favourite is Rassam. Recently they’ve also introduced drinks menu with beer and wine and I loved it and will visit again.
