While the experience was decent, there are opportunities to improve the taste. The Punjab paneer masala tasted a tad-odd in its preparations. The portion size could also be worked upon.

Whenever I want to eat South Indian food, I visit to Sarvana Bhavan. Food is delicious and customer service is excellent👍

Saravanan Bhavan lives up to its reputation for delicious food and this branch does. However, the takeaway service, especially during peak times, could be improved. Consider streamlining the process to reduce wait times and ensure a smoother experience for customers.

Tastey food. Good service. Great value... Update 28/08/24: another enjoyable visit. Butter milk had various masala making it very tasty. Mushroom 65 is a huge morish meal size portion that is good as a sharer starter. Fried cocktail idli is highly recommended and one plate is not enough. It is that good. Podi kara dosa with cheese is a tailor made dosa that is well hot but thoroughly enjoyable. The Ferrero cheesecake is delightful but comes straight out of the freezer so very hard to cut out a bite size piece. Tip is not included in the bill but felt compelled to tip 15% for an enjoyable experience once again.

You’ll expect waiting times but the food is completely worth it, especially Dosas, vadas and all the sweets. Service is good.

Shockingly terrible slow service and quality of food. It used to be one of our favourite places to have South Indian. NOT ANY MORE!

Hello. Well worth a visit but go early as you're not able to reserve and the place can get very busy. Lots of dishes to choose from on the large menu. Its a vegetarian and Jain restaurant. Good atmosphere and attentive service. Thank you.

Quick, tasty and delicious south Indian food

A burning smell was coming from samne it was reported but no action wad taken we have to consume same. Quality is poor than India janpath road.

I really love how they maintain the authenticity in every South Indian food option they have. The flavors and aroma are exactly what you would find in the delicacies in southern parts of india. Prices are low (and I hope they don't increase) compared to other similar restaurants in central london. They have an appropriate number of staff, though at weekends you may still find yourselves waiting for 20 mins to get your order as it gets crowded especially during the afternoon. Must try their Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala dosa, Podi dosa, Sambar Vada, Chana Bhatura, Mango Lassi, Faluda (not on the menu but they got it). Expect waiting and queues if you're dining in during the weekends. Weekdays are mostly not too tight.

I have always been a fan of sarvana bhawan, it kept me well fed in most of the European countries. This one is equally good. I ate here 3 times during my visit to London, found it value for money for most of the dishes except few like cocktail fried Idli(though tasty but insufficient quantity)

I had the most disappointing experience at Saravana Bhavan, and it’s shocking how poor the service and food quality were for such a big franchise. The service was incredibly slow—the food took an eternity to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and utterly tasteless. After eating that food, I struggled terribly with food poisoning, which was the last thing I expected from a place like this. What’s even more frustrating is how the manager responded when I requested a refund. Instead of offering any sort of apology or compensation, he was dismissive and made it clear that my concerns didn’t matter. I would strongly advise against eating here, and I wouldn’t even recommend drinking a glass of water at this place. The experience was awful from start to finish, and I’m shocked that a brand as large as Saravana Bhavan allows such poor standards.

Near harrow, one of the three satavanaa restaurants in UK.. Researched a little about the saravanaa restaurant chains and found out that there are only few which are the original ones and this is one of them.. Good food. I had chana battoora and it was exceptionally good. saravanaa is famous for their tea as well. Good staff , good ambience and tasty food

Never go back. Worst service. Portions size was a joke. 20min wait for food considering there was no one else in the restaurant. Service and quality of food has dropped its standards.

We as a family always enjoy Saravanaa Bhavan. It's like our comfort food to go to. We like that they are consistent in taste and fast service. I love their green chutney it's never enough

Lovely place and excellent staff.

The idlee was well presented and a perfect taste .Paper Dosa was crisp and beautiful taste melting in my mouth 💯but Rasam was lukewarm should always be served hot 🔥

Amazing food and a slightly busy atmosphere. Food came almost instantly. Staff were very kind. We had panner butter cheese masala dosa, veg noodles, and south indian meals. Very nice experience!

The food, included masala dosa, mini idli, mysore masala, puri channa , paneer 65 , was amazing, and filter coffee super refreshing. Absolutely no complaints! 8 of us (including 4 children and 4 adults) ate for a total of 86£. The toilets are a but congested,thou babychange area is present.

Good place to eat any course breakfast, lunch and dinner. Been here more than once now due moving into my new house and is the best to have excellent food. Staff are very welcoming and polite, always acknowledge you, ask if you need anything else etc. Will definitely pop in again 😊💯

Very fast friendly service and the dosa we ordered arrived very quickly. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean. The food however was a big let down as someone who has frequented this establishment a lot over the years. The sambhal, all chutneys that came with the dosa were ridiculously spicy this time around. I am not sure what made the restaurant change the recipe to make everything so spicy it cannot be enjoyed by everyone, only by those who can handle a lot of heat. Coconut chutney should always be mild, why not have 3 different chutneys with different levels of heat. It was not a good visit regrettably. Seems clear the restaurant does not look at the comments as they have said thank you and nothing else about the spice levels being too high.

One of the best food places to go to without any regrets! I have been here many times and the food have always been amazing. Good thing is they do North and south Indian together so cravings for both cuisines can be satisfied together:) the best Dhosa place in London, definitely recommended 200%. And the service is excellent. It's a win-win.

Saravanaa bhavan Rayners Lane I had repeated FOUR TIMES, all sambars and chutneys separate along with separate masala for 2 rava dosas. Inspite of it you did the same mistake. Everything was clubbed today. If you wish to turn a deaf ear to your customers then take off the QR code for feedback or else I will keep writing about it.

Super hygienic, excellent service, sincere workers, tasty food, quick service.

My go to restaurant for quick authentic south Indian food. Although at peak times there are lines outside the restaurant, the turnaround is fast and people are willing to wait for good food. Would recommend the rava dosa and triveni juice.

I must say that service from praveen is excellent. I have asked a lady for extra glass.... she never turned up. Later on , I asked praveen, and he straight away went gave me in less than a minute. This 5 star is just for him.

There is no option for 0 star ⭐️ I recently ordered from deliveroo and was extremely disappointed with the service. After 45 minutes i called and asked about my order then The staff was incredibly slow and unresponsive, unnecessarily long and frustrating. Saravanaa Bhavan is a favourite place of ours to visit for a good simple meal. We have visited many times and each time the service and quality of food is the same good quality. Perfect place to get a great vegetarian meal and you get value for your money here. You can tell how good it really is by the crowd that is always gathered here.

Food is excellent - Poori masala was very good - mushroom garlic fry was very rich - sambar Vada - pongal vada Don't go for fried rice - rice is kind of half cooked

Great authentic restaurant and amazing vegan options. Love the uttapam and dosa; paper dosa is huge and popular, I find it too thin/crispy and get the standard. Service was quick, but they are very busy and not very attentive. However, the person who tops up the chutneys is very efficient! ------ Have visited again since and food was great, service was also much better!

Not so happy with staff, totally unprofessional.

I ordered masala tea with masala dosa. The waiter brought me tea. I said I would like to eat first pls take tea. He took it. Rosa arrived. It was crispy but potato filling no seasoning. The green chutney has no seasoning. Only sambar was good rest all sauce and filling no seasoning. After the dosa, I told a lady waiter to bring my tea. She didn't come and I was waiting for ten min. The restaurant had hardly any customers. I asked the waiter could check my tea, He replied yes yes no problem and waited next to me rather than rushing to check why the tea was getting delayed. I saw a manager with a blue shirt and told him he apologised and said miscommunication so got delayed. Horrible service and food are always ok not so good compared to another outlet. Pls don't go waste of money

Good tasting South Indian food and passable North Indian food. Must try - Idli, Wada, Mango Lassi. Finding parking could be tricky but side-lanes have some spaces available.

Food was good It was busy so waitress was keep asking us are you finished eating or you waiting for another order they are not even allowing us to eat the food but were in hurry to take dishes even while we are eating from the plate It’s weekend we understand but pls allow your customers to finish eating and then take dishes

Lovely food Teresa masala dosa and masala tea so tasty and fresh.

The queue system is extremely bad. The waitress kept saying the table will be available in 10 minutes which is why we kept waiting. We waited 55 minutes before giving up. We kept asking is 10 minutes realistic but it was not. They kept splitting tables instead of giving us a table of 5.

Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered great recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. Ordered plain dosa and it was served with three different varieties of delicious chutneys and dosa was crispy. Ghee pongal was also yummy again with chutneys. Generally it is crowded over the weekend at this location. Staff services were good and they are friendly and helpful. Much recommended dishes here are idly, medu wada sambhar, my personal favourite is Rassam. Recently they’ve also introduced drinks menu with beer and wine and I loved it and will visit again.

Hello sir / madam I m every week 1or 2 time going sarvana bhavan in different different brach in london bcz i m salesperson so i m going to lunch and dinner In this sarvana bhavan i m coming second time in this week but today is not like it all test is different And very bad .i can not understand in panner butter chess masala dosa who can put whole cordamam in side and dry veg manchuryan this item is disgusting. And noot proper cook I just wasted my money today . Please I request if u give good food so money is coming just for money don’t give bad food .

Excellent place to visit for Indian food.

I've always had excellent experiences at Saravana Bhavan locations across London. However, my recent visit to the Rayners Lane branch left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and seated promptly, which was appreciated after an hour of walking. Eager for refreshments, we ordered coffee and lassi while perusing the menu for our main meal. Our initial interaction with the server was pleasant, but things took a turn when another staff member abruptly snatched our menu away, insisting that one was sufficient for our table. Despite explaining that we were still in the midst of deciding, our request fell on deaf ears as she swiftly returned the menu to its stack. This unexpected and dismissive behavior left us feeling bewildered and frustrated. Furthermore, the manner in which the staff member strode through the restaurant after snatching the menu away seemed to exude an air of self-importance, as if she had accomplished some great feat. This added insult to injury, amplifying our feelings of disbelief and disappointment at the lack of professionalism displayed. Such behavior only served to further diminish the overall dining experience and left a lasting impression that was far from favorable. we opted to settle the bill and leave. However, as we departed, I couldn't help but notice a sign on the wall proclaiming a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse directed towards the staff. While I fully support creating a respectful environment for all, it's disheartening when the same courtesy isn't extended to customers. In conclusion, while I've always enjoyed the food and service at Saravana Bhavan, this particular incident left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that steps will be taken to ensure all customers are treated with the same level of respect and courtesy that they are expected to show the staff.

Hospitality is so bad and staff are not even smiling and greeting. Bed experience. Over rated place. I asked staff water and glass she give me only one class whereas we are 2 people and with so much arrangement and angry face 🤬 seems like she don't want to work. Every one just running here and there and just try tk finish work but not offering good Hospitality and food experience. So much noice in restaurant. I barely seated 30 min. Plates and cutlery are so weat not clean properly.

A very popular place in London, had to wait in the queue to take a table for 4, That means they have a good customer base due to good food and service, Recommend to order at once because it will take time to cook and be ready for the table. Delicious 😋 Food and drinks, We enjoyed Masala Dhosa, that was really nice, Ulundu wade is like a door nut taste it really nice with the given sauce (bit spicy)

We went on mother's day and it was extremely busy. All the dishes ordered were served very quickly with no quality...most items were made in rush. When busy sarvana cant keep up with their standards

Quantity and quality is totally disaster. Look what you are charging and what are you serving. Just minting on Sarvanna's brand value and name. Example of food quality. Kadhai paneer is 8 quid and just put 4 thin slices of paneer, making it 2 quid each slice. Same is with naan or other breads, it's fully maida roll. No taste in the food. You are lucky that Google does not allows zero stars. :D Better to go elsewhere.

Very disappointed with a my takeaway order.i order one mini idly dipped in sampar and veg noodles for takeaway.there is no spoon or forks and tissue in the bag.when I ask them talking very hard also they said when customer ask then only we will give you otherwise not..WHEN CUSTOMER ORDER FOR TAKEAWAY YOU SHOULD GIVE THIS THINGS.one of the men staff also talk very hard.otherwise foods are very nice

I love DOSA's. This place is one of my favourite quick fixes when I am craving north Indian food. They are consistent and fast. We arrived at 12pm with a party of 12 and we were watered and feed by 1:15. Great food, great vibes! A Must!

Such a bad place I came in to dine in at 10:00 am, waitress told me 20 minutes after I waited for 40 minutes they said food is not ready! Shame on you guys wasting people time , left without eating anything
