Tas The Cut in Southwark

Tas tristemente ha bajado colina abajo. El servicio fue muy lento y tomó una eternidad para hacer nuestro pedido. No había check ins para preguntar cómo estábamos una vez que la comida había llegado, o si necesitábamos más bebidas. El cargo por servicio también era alto. La comida estaba bien, pero caro para lo que teníamos. Qué vergüenza - no volverá de nuevo.

Estaba muy decepcionado con la comida en tas. Pequeñas porciones y grandes precios. Primero nos sentamos junto a una pared de vidrio en la parte superior de las escaleras de los baños. El olor que salía de los baños era apestoso y muy fuerte. Pedí que me mudara a otra mesa, y aunque nos mudamos todavía podía obtener el olor extraño de los baños sucios. No vamos a volver a taz en general no es una gran experiencia gastronómica.

Alimentos muy promedio a precios extorsivos. Los alimentos oscilaron entre por debajo de la media y justo por encima de la media. Tenía buenos dolmas, el hummus era bueno y tenía un poco de carne a la parrilla y salsa de tomate plato que era bueno. El salmón estaba ligeramente sobrecocinado y era de cadena - pub de calidad alimentaria en el mejor de los casos. Las albóndigas y los platos de pasta eran solo promedio. Nada de eso gritaba comida turca de calidad a pesar de su propia insistencia en que lo fuera. Y por último, sabemos que la zona es cara, no esperábamos que fuera barata, pero el precio era muy alto por la calidad y añaden un 12. 5% de propina discrecional, que no necesitas pagar pero en serio. . . ! ? ¡La desfachatez de añadir eso encima de más - cocido, salmón que ya costó 23 libras!

Mi hermano y yo vinimos a cenar anoche. Pedimos muy poco después de que habíamos llegado. Entrantes encantador Hummus y pastel de espinacas. Desafortunadamente se olvidaron de nuestro plato fuerte. Preguntamos un par de veces y nos dijeron que iba a venir. [Llegó una hora después de ordenar] . Cuando llegó, ninguno de los dos tenía hambre y quería volver a casa. Es una verdadera pena porque hemos estado aquí antes y no hemos tenido ningún problema.

Hemos comido en la mayoría de los restaurantes Tas en Londres durante muchos años, y siempre los hemos encontrado confiables. La comida y el servicio seguían siendo buenos cuando comimos allí, pero el as parecía bastante vacío para un sábado por la noche, y la razón es obvia; los precios. Siempre hemos considerado que Tas es un lugar donde se puede conseguir una comida fresca - preparada e interesante a un precio razonable. Sin embargo, parecen haber inflado sus precios sustancialmente desde la última vez que estuvimos allí. La 'comida establecida', que ciertamente ofrecía una opción sustancial e incluía una bebida (cerveza o vino de la casa) era de £ 35 por cabeza. (Los principales a la carta son en su mayoría más de 20 libras esterlinas, y cada entrante pequeño es de alrededor de 8 libras esterlinas). Had lunch here, I say lunch our table was booked for 2pm but we received our food at 3.30pm. the portions are very small mixed grill consisted of 2 cubes of chicken 2 cubes of lamb and a kofte served with couscous that was as dry as dust! They do not give you the standard bread and dip/ salad like most restaurants in this category. The service is extremely slow and if YOU walk to the bar and buy a drink they add service charge to the bill!. Meat tasted ok. The toilets which are located downstairs STINK like a sewer, glass mirrors etc are smudged and look dirty. I would never return or recommend this place. Decor is dated with old fashion dated glasses on the table they did not offer any condiments or salt or pepper with the meal. Absolutely minging!

Good food, very flavoursome. Attentive waiters. The bread was delicious. The shish chicken kebab portion though was on the small side. The loos were revolting.

We opted for the set menu which included a wine, 2 meze and a main for £35. Which is good value for money for the area. My börek and patlıcan yoğurt mezesi was very delicious partner also enjoyed his mercimek soup and calamari. Main courses were disappointing unfortunately. My partners almond and chicken güveç was a large portion but chicken dry and tasteless. Everything on my mixed grill was tasty apart from the chicken sis, again dry. Celery doesn’t belong in Turkish salad in my opinion, the flavors just overpowered the other ingredients. Our waiter was polite and attentive. Service being good definitely saved the visit.

Unbelievably bad. Stale salad drenched in syrupy dressing, gluey two-day old cous cous, and oily gristly lamb kofte. Barely edible. Truly disgusting and one of the worst meals of my life. Everyone involved should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

There was a group of us and I believe the group enjoyed the starters but I have to say my main meal was so disappointing. I’ve never seen sea bass cooked in this way - deep fried? No seasoning and the potatoes were as bland as they look 🥹 Won’t be returning.

Tried this place for the first time this evening. The quality of food was ok but they serve very small portions. We all ordered the mixed grill and it arrived with 3 very small pieces of meat on the plate and a tiny amount of rice. Definitely not justified for the price they charge. Read the other reviews below that all say the same thing. If you’re hungry I would go somewhere else.

The restaurant was almost full and fairly buzzing at 6.45. We had reserved a table and didn’t have to wait long for it. Having managed to get our order in quickly, we then had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. Our meze dishes were all delicious. The main course from the grill was dry and disappointing, but the Hunkar Begendi was good. Will probably give it another try, avoiding peak time and hoping that the poor service was a one-off.

First night in London and we stumbled across this Turkish restaurant around 9:00pm. Dead tired after a 28hr trip. Our start to our holiday was beautiful because we filled our tummies and had a great sleep. The prawns were delicious the mucver was nice and eggplant tasty. Finished up with Turkish tea yummm

Twenty quid for a dish of lukewarm chicken casserole, devoid of flavour and seasoning, featuring overcooked lumps of chicken with a few almonds thrown in. As a decent cook myself, I'd have been embarrassed serving that. Where's the love? Also, a babaganoush, whose yogurty flavour bore no resemblance to the smoky flavours of aubergine and tahini you'd expect. Finally, the tabouleh tasted past its best, clearly not freshly prepared, and straight out of a fridge.

We went after the theatre but the place was still busy. The food was tired and service neglectful. Either a dish comes with rice or they should tell you/ask. My mixed grill was poor: small portions ( one cube of chicken, one of lamb, etc) and dry/overcooked. Gents looked was a bombsite. Worst dinner out I’ve had in a long time.

Delicious food reasonable priced. We both had the set meal Tabbouleh and Feta cheese salad, grilled chicken shish and lamb kofte we also had baba ganoush as an extra side. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and bright very welcoming.

This totally disappointed us - my husband had been there before once but our visit with family was terrible. We visited for a quick dinner before we headed back home. * Price for the portion sizes are way too much - the portion sizes were very small * Service was slow and poor - it took us ages to even get the menu - we had to ask twice. Shouldn't we get this within minutes of arrival? *We didn't order many starters so asked for everything to be brought together - we didn't think this included the bread which arrived stone cold anyways. We thought we would order some more once we judge the portion sizes - the sizes were small but we had already waited forever so just made sure the kids ate. *Outside and shop floor look pretty but the toilets are disgusting! Mouldy soap?? What on earth! THE FOOD WAS NICE HOWEVER, including the salad. But poor service and being so overpriced means we won't be visiting again. Never seen so many waiters being inattentive - it was not that busy when we visited. £90 spent - we didn't even order any drinks and left feeling hungry!

I rarely write a review but this restaurant was so bad I really feel I have to as a warning to others . Also the restaurant needs to up its game Service was dreadful I think we weee there at least an hour before any food appeared. Long term regulars but would need some convincing to come back. Service was very slow, main course portions less than generous and there was an attempt at overcharging when we came to pay the bill. Ok, staff shortage and innocent mistake could be to blame, but in such a competitive market, these are the things that make a difference. Written more in regret than anger!

I unfortunately got food poisoning after having dinner at this restaurant. Now I am missing out on the remainder of my vacation and trying to drink water without getting sick.

We visited here on Saturday evening after a show at the Royal Festival Hall. The welcome was friendly and we were taken to our table swiftly. Service all evening was excellent, prompt, caring and friendly. Food was served in good time and was delicious. Portions good. The restaurant was very busy but the staff and kitchens were dealing with it all very capably. We will definitely come back here next time we’re in the area. Thank you.

I've been eating at various branches of Tas infrequently for years and I've always enjoyed. Not last night. The baba ghanoush was stodgy and tasted more of cheese than aubergine and my lamb casserole was fatty and quite oily. I was also disappointed with the size of the rice portion. The chilli sauce is nowhere near hot enough. My friend enjoyed her kofte and the bread was nice.

Tasty food served nice and hot and good portion sizes. Wine was a reasonable price. Service was friendly and good. We would go again because overall good value for London.

Went to Tas last night before a show at the Southbank. Arrived at 6.30 (had a reservation) and were shown to a table, given menus and then bread and a dip. 15 minutes later, I flagged down a waiter, who said something like, 'I am too busy, so I need to send a colleague over.' Five minutes later and nothing, I flagged down another waiter, who on his way over was waylaid by the diners behind us, who it seemed had also been ignored. He took their order instead, came up to us and said he'd be back in 30 seconds. This is in a half-empty restaurant in which we could spy waiters standing and talking to each other. We left. Not the way to treat customers.

A good range of Turkish and Mediterranean food all served in generous portions (maybe too generous for lunchtime!). Service is efficient but unobtrusive and prices are very reasonable for this part of London. I'll definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in, we were met with friendly efficient staff. Never having Turkish food before, we let ourselves be guided by the waiter, and were not disappointed. We decided on the set menu for 4 people and everything that was recommended was excellent. We started we four choices in starters, and we more than surprised at the size of the portions, then our main arrived and once again generous portion sizes. No-one in our party was disappointed in the food. Service throughout was great. Also included in this set menu price was a drink each.Very pleasant surroundings, great service and great food. Couldn't ask for anything more. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone

Booked a table for 2 on a Sunday night for LJ and me.Restaurant was quiet, same as everywhere else really. Greeted by a young guy who asked if we would like to sit inside or outside and was very polite.Ordered from the set menu of 2 starters a main course and a drink for £23.95. Food came quite quickly and was very good value although LJ did say that her main course was a bit too similar to her mushroom starter but that was probably her own fault! Very pleasant surroundings and great service and would eat here again if in the area.

I used to like the food here. Today, it was terrible. Chose the wrong starters obviously, tasteless and out of tins. Chicken casserole was a strange mixture of textures without interest. Left half of it when I realised it had not been properly heated through.

My wife and I visited for dinner in May, a couple of days after our wedding as we were having our honeymoon in London due to not being able to travel abroad because of COVID restrictions. The food was really nice - the kunefe was amazing! Most of all we were treated really well. The lady serving us was so helpful and friendly. We were unsure about what certain items on the menu were and the portion size etc. She was very happy to explain and even brought out plates to give us an idea of size. Maybe, i am old fashion!?. But, I really liked the old place. Very mature staff,that all knew their jobs,made it look so easy and always with a smile. I found the music a bit to loud and not tradtional. The hot bread always came as a starter,not half way through the meal,salads are much smaller as wasp the meat platter. Visité este restaurante el martes 15 de septiembre. Pedí el Felafel y Byrek para empezar, que estaban bastante bien. Para platos principales pedí la parrilla mixta Tas y mi esposa pidió el pollo shish. Por decir lo menos, ambos platos fueron muy decepcionantes. El Chicken Shish tenía un olor muy fuerte a pollo crudo como si fuera muy viejo. Mi esposa tenía 1 cubo y no tocó el resto. En mi parrillada mixta, los 2 cubos de cordero estaban bien, pero los cubos de pollo y el kofte eran horribles. No había olor a carbón y mis cubos de pollo eran los mismos que mis esposas.La camarera se acercó y preguntó si habíamos terminado y dijimos que sí. Nunca comprobé cómo estaba la comida. Le preguntó a mi esposa si quería quitárselo ya que apenas lo había tocado. Mi esposa amablemente dijo que no, gracias. La camarera, que tuvo una segunda oportunidad de preguntar si todo estaba bien con la comida, simplemente recogió el plato y se fue durante unos 15 minutos sin siquiera terminar de limpiar la mesa. Había unas 4 mesas en todo el restaurante. Cuando finalmente vino a limpiar el resto de los platos, tuve que darle mi opinión sobre los platos principales. Luego trajo la cuenta y yo esperaba que me quitaran el pollo. Luego expresé mi decepción y pregunté si el pollo se podía quitar de la cuenta, ya que mi esposa no lo comía y no estaba bien. La camarera dijo que hablará con el gerente. Regresó y dijo que no quitaremos el pollo de la factura. Me quedé impactado. El gerente se acercó lo suficiente a la mesa para escuchar lo que se decía, pero nunca se acercó a la mesa hasta que lo llamé. Le expliqué una vez más mi decepción y literalmente se fue con la camarera. Afortunadamente, todavía hicieron el Eat out to Help out. Los dos todavía teníamos hambre y fuimos a FrancoManca. Por decir lo menos nunca más en Tas The Cut.

Nuestra visita fue un domingo por la noche y el restaurante estaba bastante tranquilo. Pudimos sentarnos justo dentro, con las grandes ventanas plegadas.El menú era amplio con una gran selección de platos vegetarianos y de carne. El servicio fue amable y profesional. Hay una lista de vinos decente a precios razonables.Cuando llegó nuestra selección de platos pequeños, todo estaba muy bien presentado y estaba delicioso.Volveré sin dudarlo.

Lovely Meze with the family. The waiter recommended the Turkish House white wine.... it was good. Nice experience, nice food. I would recommend this restaurant

Visitamos TAS, The Cut el 5 de agosto de 2020 para cenar temprano y aprovechar la reducción de 10 comidas, además de que esperábamos, el reconocimiento de las reducciones de IVA introducidas por el Canciller para alentar a las personas a cenar fuera. Hemos visitado esta sucursal antes y otras sucursales en Londres. La calidad de la comida siempre ha sido buena junto con un servicio atento. Sin embargo, en el examen posterior de nuestra factura de una comida de dos platos y dos cervezas pequeñas, me disgustó lo que en mi opinión es un sobrecoste flagrante pero disfrazado en parte por la oferta de 10. Se cobraron dos cervezas EFES pequeñas a 4. 95 por vaso. ¿Se ha aplicado alguna rebaja de precio como consecuencia de la rebaja del IVA? ¡El cargo por servicio, en un examen posterior y más detallado, parecía estar en la región del 20%! ! ! ¿Es así como TAS quiere animar a los comensales a volver?

Una experiencia gastronómica un poco surrealista en el desierto Cut ya que todos los cines siguen cerrados.Comimos en la terraza y quedamos completamente satisfechos con los arreglos de covid. Elegimos una selección de meze que estaban deliciosos y aprovechamos las opciones vegetarianas.

El personal era muy agradable y amable y el Hummus estaba delicioso, pero el plato de verduras que tuve fue más que escandaloso. Parecía que anteriormente era una sopa y decidieron convertirla en un plato separado. No pude tocarlo.Entrar es como retroceder en el tiempo y creo que podría usarse con un poco de cambio en la apariencia.No lo recomendaría

First time here and wikl definitely be coming back. Food was quick, delicious, and filling, and service was much better than expected compared to other restaurants of the same size. Had mixed grill and wondered if it would be enough, and then it arrived. Would love to try the mezzes next time as several tables around us did and everything smelled delicious. Very attentive waitstaff who did not rush you, very nice balance!
