Lovely ambience - loved the decor I enjoyed the starters All four main dishes were disappointing. My leek and chickpea had no flavour. It tasted like a leek and tomato broth with a can of chickpeas mixed in. In both pides (bread was delicious) but the fillings were tasteless. The chicken stew was essentially my leek broth minus the chickpeas plus chicken. The seats were uncomfortable so we had no choice but to move to the bench - located near the door- which made me feel cold. All in all not a good experience for me.

I chose Tas Pide for a birthday dinner, following a trip to the Tate Modern. It is very nearby on a relatively quiet side street, and had a really good mix of vegetarian, vegan and omnivore options for all of my guests. It has a lovely villagey, planty look from the outside, and an authentic, Anatolian Turkish feel inside. When we arrived it was busy, with a lot of families - we had booked a very early dinner, for 6.15. Our table was booked ready and waiting, and it got quieter by 7.30. The staff were pretty busy and getting service meant calling them over from time to time, but they were perfectly attentive, and very sweet, when we did so. I had been concerned by some recent reviews that the food might be so-so, so we were incredibly happy to find that it was delicious. Generous portions, with unusal ingredients (my dish had mulberry molasses- which lent a gorgeous sharp sweetness to the sauce) and techniques which gave familiar ingredients a fresh approach. Everyone was extremely happy with our food, the prosecco, the atmosphere, and the lovely staff. We enjoyed the environment (I had thought online it looked a bit dated and busy, but I really liked it in person). Thanks Tas Pide for a lovely evening.

Slightly off the main drag so you may not see it if you’re walking along by the Thames. But it’s definitely worth a visit. It specialises in pide - a kind of thin Turkish pizza - although it does a range of other very good Turkish food. A lively, fun place to eat.

I am so disappointed, The worst restaurant I have ever visited every thing is bad

KFC etc. since we arrived. We were eating chain food and it was getting boring. After a long time, food similar to the flavors we are used to passed through our throats. Although it is a bit more expensive than fast-food chains, it has a very satisfactory menu in terms of price-performance. We ate Sahan menu (lentil soup-chicken casserole) and fish and chips. Before the meal, two types of appetizers and hot pita are served. I think the food is quite delicious and the portions are large and filling. I was very pleased. Finally, the attitude of the staff was also very good. A curly-haired lady, who we learned was from Sivas, took care of us. We would like to thank him again for his approach and interest.

The atmosphere is is incredible but the food was a bit Bland and dry. We got the mixed grill and the chicken and lamb skewers were very dry. However the lahmacun was very flavourful would recommend!

Visited Tas Pide on Thursday- these guys never disappoint. It was a semi-business dinner - the food was great for all of us - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the relaxed atmosphere. Yet again the staff catered for my food allergies without fuss. Will be back soon. Thank you so much again for your hospitality- I never take it for granted.

The best thing I've tried, I highly recommend it. There are things that look bad but are actually very good. If you pass by, try it.

Good food, but rather small portion. Unfortunately we waited about 40 minutes for the first drinks. Even after that, the second Coke wasn't brought. Staff a bit overwhelmed.

The food was delicious, the interior design of the place was good, but the price was expensive.

Lovely restaurant. Very welcoming with good service from smiley and friendly staff. Reasonably priced wine and overall good value for London. Food appeared authentic(I'm no expert), fresh, tasty and good portions with refills of 'free' bread. Nice place!

This really is the best place to go for authentic Turkish cuisine. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. Thank you to the sweet little Turkish lady with the short curly hair who served us. You were so hospitable and welcoming.

The waitress is a bit grumpy. The hummos wasn't good. The laban isn't turkish. Other starters were good. The lamp dish was perfect.

Decent and crisp pide. Horrible service. So much attitude and old bitter wine. Basically threw the change back at us.

Amazing food! Was not too busy (visited at 5PM) and the staff were wonderful - our servers Vitika and a lady with short, curly hair were super welcoming!! Expensive, but as we had never tried Turkish food before, it seemed relatively worth it. Will hopefully be back soon!

Great place, just a few metres off the main tourist trail. I love this place.

Amazing menu. We were able to modify our choices of small dishes to accommodate someone who was gluten free. Plenty of choice. The dishes were tasty and service swift.

Authentic Anatolian food. We order the TAS Meze Menú to taste a little plate of every starter and it is absolutely amazing. I recommend 100% if you want something different.

Turkish restaurant in London 🇬🇧 We tried this Turkish restaurant while walking throughout London , I must say I was a bit disappointed, the food was overpriced on my opinion, I found hair on my food, the toppings were very little and the restaurant quite empty in general.

Walked in for lunch after visiting the Tate Modern. Food was mediocre at best. Service was good though. Prices do not match the quality of the food. A real shame!

Not as many people in on a Friday night as I was expecting. On the other hand there has been an explosion of food places around Borough Market so it may be general saturation. Food is good and different with a middle eastern bent. Great place. To eat before visiting the Globe.

It's a really great atmosphere. It's in the center of London. It has a great interior and an authentic atmosphere. It has friendly and courteous staff that makes you feel at home. The food is very delicious and the prices are affordable.If you are around London Bridge, I definitely recommend you to have your meal here.

Excellent good spread of food lots of different dishes to choose from next to the globe theatre

We had the theatre set menu that came with a drink, 2 starters each and a main course. Lovely food and great value. Especially given its central location.

Came here with a couple of friends before going to the Globe. We had a lovely meal, sharing a few small plates and one of the pides. All the food was delicious and arrived quickly. The staff were very welcoming and the restaurant itself is decorated beautifully. We'll definitely be back.

The location looks like holidays and the food is great. Pide right out of the wood stove ! The service was nicht, too. We had a lovely evening !

We popped in while looking for halal food options. It's a beautiful restaurant on the inside near the Globe. We ordered the mixed grill platter, everything was quite tasty. They even gave us baklavah on the house and an extra Turkish tea! How lovely💞🤩 5* review for their hospitality, ambience and food!!! Will come again when we are in London!

This was a bit disappointing, quite honestly. The musakka was average and did not appear to have been freshly prepared. The tabbouleh came without any bulghur wheat. We didn't have the pide, though, which was probably a mistake.

If you find yourself on the South Bank, near the Globe theatre and are looking for a quick bite to eat, at a reasonable price then look no further than Tas Pide, authentic Turkish food saved in a nice, pleasant restaurant, by nice helpful staff.

As a lahmacun monster and lover, I can say that it was the most disgusting lahmacun I have ever eaten in my life. First of all, the minced meat smelled very strong, even though there was barely any on it. Secondly, when they wanted to make the dough thin, they made it so thin that it was extremely dry and made me sick to my stomach. Thirdly, their staff was very sullen and not friendly at all. You know, when you enter a place you feel an energy, but the place has a dull, cold energy. Also, there is no kebab on the menu, so be careful not to eat lahmacun, pita etc. in a place that does not have kebab on the menu. The result is obviously bad. They put a teenage boy as if he is a master and it was our mistake that we expected a good service from a place that does not have a master. Finally, it is the place that sells the most EXPENSIVE lahmacun in the city. We arrived late and it was close to our hotel, so we went there because it was the closest place, but we were shocked when we went to Turkish Street the next day. While the average price of lahmacun is 3.5-4£ each in other Turkish places, we paid 9£ each. We paid 50£ for two people, four lahmacun and two ayran. Very good food and excellent service

The ambience lends itself to conversations and the food is excellent Turkish cuisine. Staff are courteous and helpful. Remembering a meeting a couple of years ago, we were delighted to see it is still thriving.

Pide really tasted great! The restaurant is very nicely decorated in an Anatolian style. There was also an appetizer and tea on the house. Very nice staff and very hospitable. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the staff was incredibly rude ( to be specific the older lady who was at the door) and the food was quite mediocre. It’s a shame cause the restaurant has a nice aesthetic and transitional interior design which doesn’t match the meals we had.

Had a lovely dinner date at Tas Pide. The food's really nice and the prices are good for the area too. Good selection of starters as well as main courses. Try the various Pide items. They are excellent. Good vegetarian options too. The chairs are a bit low! I suppose that may be by design but it felt a wee bit uncomfortable at first. Overall, a nice place. Will return.

Very tasty food and very good atmosphere

Walked in off the street not knowing what to expect, and I’m glad I did! The food was absolutely fantastic!!! I highly recommend to anyone wanting some very tasty Turkish food!

Lovely food, perfect dishes for sharing in a big group. Friendly staff, the restaurant is really pretty with lots of fairy lights. Only negative is that the chairs are very low.

A really disappointing visit. You would expect Sunday lunchtime to be buzzing, but the place was only a third full and it wasn't hard to see why. The service was slow and perfunctory. The waiter didn't know the menu and the food came at strange intervals. A side dish and rice arrived 20 minutes before the dish they were meant to come with, and simple requests, like one of my friends wanting a starter at the same time as the mains, were ignored. Alongside the deposit paid by transfer to a Turkish bank account to secure the table (there were 8 of us), it was all very odd. The food, when it eventually arrived, was good, though brought down by the cold rice. If you're going to add a 12.5% service charge to the bill, it's best to provide good service. At the very least you should give customers the impression you're pleased to see them. I won't be rushing back.

The food were delicious, especially Turkish pide and Baklava were great. And stuffs were so friendly, and atmosphere was really good.

I dined at this venue for lunch with my office colleagues. It was my first time trying chicken pide, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Not a good experience here unfortunately. Was told when we got in to wait for 10 minutes while they find a table when it was pretty much empty. Was giving a set menu instead of the full ala carte menu. Has to ask for this. Would prefer to be given the option instead of assuming that we wanted a set menu. Food was mediocre and definitely not worth the prices. Obviously a tourist restaurant for the as it’s near the Globe Theatre.

We went to the restaurant yesterday night. Everything was amazing. Service was really fast and foods were delicious. Also, Can was super kind to us and thanks to the atmosphere we satisfied . Thank you for everything.

We held our company Christmas Party at Tas Pide on 7th December. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The service were wonderful, the staff are so friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and such a variety. It was great to have an untraditional Christmas Party. Thank you to all involved in making it the perfect afternoon. We'll be back x

Absolutely terrible. Appalling food and staff apathetic. Couldn’t leave fast enough Turkish food is superb and this is no representation of the culinary skills of the country

Unfortunately the meal I had this evening was nothing short of horrific. Flat beer, utterly tasteless food, so slow too and pretty expensive. Worst meal out I’ve had for a very very long time. I only ate it because I was so hungry. Definitely won’t be coming here again, just extremely lazy ‘cooking’ flavour certainly wasn’t on the menu.

Tourist trap. The food was microwaved. The bread was stale. Everything lukewarm but not hot.

We eat lunch at Tas Pide every time we visit Tate Modern - yes ‘every’ time. The food is splendid and the service is excellent. Proximity to tourist traps has not made Tas Pide complacent, the menu range is excellent and the food well cooked and beautifully presented. Really beautiful interior, delicious mezze, but sadly let down by slightly poor service and our mains. We booked ahead for a group event with a couple of requests they said they were happy to fulfil, but when we arrived they seemed to have no knowledge of them. Servers didn't come by to ask how our food was, or if we wanted more drinks, or desserts. Had a bit of trouble making myself understood to staff, some of whom seemed to have a bit of trouble with English. Mezze was great. Mains were disappointing - the veggie stew I got was literally the chicken one without meat, so wasn't very filling. The meat dishes were mostly very dry.

Review for Tas Pide in Borough. Excellent for a vegetarian date night, you could spend less, but as we were spoiled for choice, decided on the sharing platter, which was pleasantly more than expected - delicious food! Excellent wine selection too, we had a bottle of the Rkatsiteli, Askaneli Brothers (white wine) - refreshingly fruity. Authentic atmosphere and decor. Superb staff, very welcoming and patient - we were the last ones to leave the restaurant during closing time, but never rushed us. We were genuinely enjoying the date and atmosphere, thank you.

Ordered a mixed grill. Portion size was great but unfortunately all the meat was very dry and lacking any sizzle or juiciness which is what I would expect. Service was good as was the environment.

We arrived early for MacBeth at the Globe. The Globe is right across the street from Tas Pide. I would encourage anyone coming to the Globe or the Wannamaker Theater to stop by this restaurant. We were very happy with the menu. Plenty for a vegetarian to choose from. Plenty of tables. The wait staff was pleasant and the food was great. Low to medium priced. It's considered Turkish food.

Tasty yet different cuisine, worth experiencing

Saturday night circa 9pm, only two couples in. The food and service was fantastic, and looking at the size was probably busy earlier but spotlessly clean and tidy. Will definitely go back on our next visit to London.

If you have not been, I would highly suggest going!! We didn't know what to expect, but had been told it might be worth a visit. We ordered the Globe menu, which comes a house drink or soft drink, 2 meze dishes each and a main. For the meze dishes, we ordered the Borek, Kalamar, Mantar and Sucuk. There was not one thing we did not like! I particularly enjoyed the Borek. We were also given some bread to accompany these and oh.my.god!!! Some of the best bread I have ever had!! For main, we both had the Tavuk Sis. This was so tasty!!! You really need to eat it to understand just how tasty it was! The only thing that would have made it any better would have been a bit of yoghurt on the side. I don't know if they offer this and to be fair to them, I didn't ask. This is also just a personal preference. There was absolutely nothing wrong with how it came and I finished every last bit! I would recommend eating here and I will be returning! Next time, I think I will try the Pide. Thank you for the lovely food and the friendly service.

I have been in a couple of branches of Tas & every time the all experience has been grand! The food is delicious to say the least and not too priced (maybe the portions could do if they were a little more generous). The menu has a lot of choises of food too. The staff is lovely and the furniture with great character and cosy atmosphere. One of my favourite places to go to. 💖🙏

Pide was freshly made in a brick oven in front of us, and all the other dishes were amazing too. The atmosphere is fantastic, you can either dine outside or in. The decorations and the flavours reminded us of our trip to Istanbul… If you are gg for a stroll after that, Tate Modern is only a 7 min walk away.

Very expensive for the standard and quantity of food provided. The place was dead when we went and after going I'm not surprised £7.50 for hummus is beyond the pale.

well, the food doesn’t match the service … or maybe it’s all in the service… I always , always finish my plate, out of principles … Sadly , since record begins today I did not .. I am glad I had to split the bills … Not sure where 4.2 star is coming from… Maybe get some descent cook ( or maybe it’s was the night off today and the cleaners or delivroo did the cooking). If I was in my own I would have refused to pay… Totally unacceptable… Is there a minus star for rating !???!!

This is one restaurant that we try not to miss when in London, we like it that much! This time we've tried kisir, lentil soup, and 4 pide, vegetarian and with lamb and we've enjoyed them all! We had baklava & knafe for dessert and a wonderful rose wine... sweet!

Tasty food, good service and nice ambience. Background music was quiet enough to have a conversation but still provide atmosphere. Wide selection of authentic dishes that all tasted good and were served quickly.

What was once a lively restaurant serving good Turkish food is now a tired, run-down place serving food that is not up to standard: The bread stale and dry (and we had to ask for it), the stews reheated (in the microwave?), lukewarm, unappetising, tasteless, the chicken overdone and dry… The friendly waitress despite all her efforts couldn’t make up for it. We paid £35 a head for starter, main course and soft drink - too much for what we were served. No wonder the restaurant was virtually empty.

A magnificent, authentic and cosy place to taste Anatolian delicacies. The staff is very friendly.

It’s quite a atmospheric place. Service is very good. Food is not quite Anatolian. But if it is your first life in your life, you will like it.

The service was not good at all, extremely rude servers. We asked the server about the portion sizes and he didn't answer at all so we ordered less food because we weren't sure about the portions in London since were visiting from Canada. Goes over to his colleagues and they all look at us and laugh. Also, they proceeded to look at us during the meal and laugh here and there, didn't even try to hide the gossiping. Especially one blond server who kept staring at us with a death glare up and down for no reason. One of the worst most uncomfortable meal EVER!!!
