Tas Borough High Street in Southwark

We had lunch, I picked their most expensive charcoal cooked meal and it was very disappointing. Also the restaurant was so cold.

Sitting waiting for all of the starters to be served - we are a party of 6 and onl2 have arrived. Had to ask for our drinks order to be taken. Then gad to ask for our food order to be taken. Not good experience so far

The portion of the food was not enough and it was too expensive. The food was not tasty at all. I am sorry but this not the real Turkish restaurant.

I can say that it is a place where delicious products from Turkish cuisine are served. It is also a very authentic place in terms of live music. Their staff are also very friendly and helpful people. I can say it's a place worth trying.

It was truly a HOME away from home. Loved the food and the ambience. Would definitely recommend if you want to have some quality time with your friends 🥹

I came last night and I loved this place. The food quality was soo good.I ordered Hums,falfel, and Kofte with rice and it was so delicious. After the food I ordered baklava and kunefe. In my opinion it’s the best dessert I ever eat. Overall its must visit place in london.

The food is amazing! We have enjoyed an office lunch for 10 people and the service was 5*. Portions were very generous as well so no one left the table hungry😊. I would highly recommend Tas Restaurant to any Turkish food lover.

One of the best Turkish restaurants in central London l.

This restaurant is a little gem just minutes from London Bridge Station. The service is fast and professional. A large menu with affordable prices. Definitely a place to keep coming back. Live music was the cherry on top.

Stay away by all means, the food quality is substandard, atmosphere is substandard, service is very rude… waste of our money, you will like it if you don’t know what Turkish food is !!! Keep away

Beside lentil soup food was horrible. Didn't touch it all. I had a mix grill plater. All meats are cooked before I am sure. Because chicken shish was worm outside cold inside. Lamb shis hard is rock can't cut with the knife. Appetizer ezme is like Sheppard salad in turkey 😁. I ask the server we r still waiting for the ezme. He said that's our ezme salad. 😟. Shock. Long story short not again me going g there. SORRY. they been nice enough to take the dinner out of the bill but still. Disappointment is disappointing.

Really great place. Loved the great choice of food. Chose meze and were not disappointed. Service was very good. Food came quickly and so tasty. Lovely humus and the bread was scummy. Definitely going back

Went for the £33 set menu and was left a little disappointed. Small portions on the meze starters, mixed grill consisted of two small bits of chicken, three tiny overcooked bits of lamb and a small kofte .. pretty poor value all in all.

Delicious food. Life guitar which transports you back to the time of the sultans.

Warm welcome,stylish restaurant and good menu . Both chose from the £20.50 menu. Food was very good, well presented and nice portions.Bread was warm and moreish.Also had a bottle of turkish wine which was well priced . Evening made even nicer as had a gentleman playing the guitar.An enjoyable dining experience

Delicious, authentic Turkish food and really lovely staff. We shared a vegetarian mezze platter between 2 people and there was such a variety of dishes and generous portion sizes. A good restaurant for vegetarians!

Wonderful place close to Borough Market.

I really loved the vibe of this place. The staff is very nice and the ambience is cosy and warm. Food was also tasty, portions were a bit small but overall I enjoyed it and will definitely go back!

Great place to have a shared meal. There were 6 of us and we ordered the sharing option. There was plenty of starters and the mains were great too. The food was super tasty and service was efficient and friendly. I look forward to coming here again when I am back in London.

We didn't book in advance and so lucky that have one table was available at 7pm. Interesting environment with sounds of people chatting, laughing.....the ghitaris was playing some beautiful songs, feel friendly. But the food was delicious, highly recommend grilled pork, salmon pasta, salmon cubes. Clean restroom. Reasonable price compared to the good location in downtown.

Set menu and house wine == £70 per person. Decent Turkish food, but per head this is too much.

Tried Tas restaurant on Friday night whilst with my partner, staying at Premier Inn across the street. Very tasty food. Beautiful ambience with live guitarist. Relaxing and chilled, with excellent service from all team members. Thank you and cheers!

TAS was an experience that I’ll never forget. It has an open setting where you can look how your food is made. I loved the transparency. The manager was so lovely and gave us a warm welcome. She was thoroughly checking us if we needed anything or not and overall had an amazing positive energy which I really liked. Though dine-in’s are basically a luxury here in London TAS didn’t felt like one. Firstly, they were top notch when it came to cleanliness. I even loved their toilets which was so amazing, they had scented candles and it was super clean. Sometimes a place is very good but the toilet kind of sucks but that was not the case with TAS. I loved the ambience as the moment I entered the place. We took a bit of time to understand the menu and ordered Humus (Houmous) from the starters, Tavuk Sis from the grill section and a Cevizli Domatesli Salata for Salad. My Syrian friend said that the Humus tasted just like how her Aunt used to make it and even I felt like I’ve never had a Humus like this before. It was stupendous. The Tavuk sis which is a grilled chicken was nice too, I had the luxury of having couscous for the first time and it was the best thing I’ve ever tried. The Salad was great too, I am not allergic to nuts so for me it did wonders in my mouth. I almost forgot mentioning about the fluffy complimentary bread that they give. A bit of Humus with the bread is ‘Inanilmaz’. We wanted to try more but had no room left for anything. I will definitely come back for the Baklava and the other items in the menu. Our overall bill was also not that much. It was within 40 pounds for two people. So, I believe that is quite affordable. The only reason I’m taking away one star is because of their chairs. As a person with serious back pain I can’t stand chairs which doesn’t have a good back support. I mean aesthetically it looks good but to support my back it did gave me a lot of uneasiness. Overall, I was genuinely happy as my stomach and heart was filled with joy. I hope they keep their standards high like this. Shoutout to the magicians in the kitchen. I am definitely coming back for more.

Very bad, bread was cold, kofta supposed to be 2, received one cut into half. Food was dry and salad no tomato 🍅 . Never seen this before. My friend and I paid for food about £50. Expensive and cold food. It's much better to go to McDonald's trust me 🙄

Staff were very friendy, atmosphere was great with a live performance and restaurant and toilets very clean however the food lacked flavour. I ordered the Vegan mezze for £20...to only get one small falafel and selection of different dishes..also ordered a pineapple juice that wasn't fresh pineapple and more like a squash pineapple flavor.. seemed like a very small portion for £20..

I've came to this place today and had late lunch. I ordered some starter and main course. Service was excellent. But table next to me ordered their food, they get complimantary İ did not because I spoken Turkish. I am also restaurant owner never do this to our customers even they order only a starter! I just want to say that to make my point.

Love this cafe, been going for years. Such amazing healthy salads and love their wraps.

Got the set menu which came with a drink, two appetisers, and a main which I opted for the mixed grill. The meat was delicious, juicy and tender, and the portion sizes were perfect. Appetisers were a little cold and smaller than expected and my cola was rather flat, but overall I had a fun time and food came out promptly with great service. Ended up paying around £80 for two people.

Kalamar starter & dolma were delicious. Main meals - sea bass was over grilled and dry and bland; moussakka lacked salt and flavour, chicken casserole - the sauce was tasty but chicken clearly over cooked before being added to the sauce and was dry. Very disappointed after all the positive reviews.

I love this cuisine. Fresh, healthy, so tasty and attention to quality. I came to this restaurant for more than 10 times and I still love it for at least 5 years. Love it!

Very nice setting and ambience with live guitar music, food tasty . Love the Anatolian food here with delicious tabbouleh. Grilled fish dish very good but lacking carbs. Definitely a cut above the crowd. Moussaka dish was alright but other dishes were tasty.

Sadly I can't give a better review. Was expecting delicious Turkish food, but unfortunately we both felt that the dishes were pretty tasteless, lacked flavour and seasoning. Not planning to go back.

Went with the family yesterday and was really disappointed with the quantity of the food served, prices were exorbitant and we paid around £30 per person excluding any drinks, kofta kebab was good and lean but the proportion of rice was shocking , we ordered mix grill which had tasteless chicken and cubes of lamb were tiny, kunefe in dessert was too sweet with less cheese, decor was good with decent cutlery and customer service was average, I wouldn’t recommend or every go back to this place

Nicely decorated place with traditional live music (on Saturday nights at least). We had fresh cofta kebab with salad and lentil soup - all was very delicious, authentic, well spiced, just like in Anatolia! Service was quick and professional. We loved the whole experience. Highly recommended

As someone who knows Turkish cuisine pretty well, this restaurant is very decent and serves tasty dishes. I got mixed grill plate, both chicken and lamb were delicious. We got baklava as dessert and it was pretty good! The appetizers were okay. Overall i would recommend !

Tas is always consistently good. This one is one of my favourite and I have been coming here for over 10 years! Service is excellent

I had an amazing evening dinner here with 10 persons. The starters were all amazing and well portioned. I could not taste all the main dishes. I picked the meatballs and tasted the shrimp dish and grilled meat. The meatballs by themselves were a bit dry, but it had a good homemade sauce to complement with it. The grilled meat was delicious. There was also a classical guitarist which played classic songs and covers of modern ones. A good addition to the atmosphere.

I've had loads of Turkish food around the world including that in Turkey. The food here at Tas was amazingly flavourful, very tasty, balanced in quantity with a good ambience. Highly recommended!

First time here last night on a date with a Turkish native and it didn’t disappoint. Enginar starter was so flavoursome and had a satisfying umami taste. The falafel were perfectly cooked and presented. The Anatolian bread was soft and fresh. The Tas Iskender mixed grill was so tender and more than enough shared between two as a main. Good choice of wines and decently priced. Staff were very attentive and gracious. We both agreed it was an authentic Turkish experience. Thank you Tas team - it’s in the top ten!

We had lunch at the Tas Café/Deli next door. Pleasant quiet cafe with a nice selection of lunch items. Can recommend the chicken casserole and delicious Baklava

I used to like the food here a lot but recently their food quality went down dramatically. The meat dishes are too dry, can't even taste the meat at all. Rest assured I will never go again.
