Cuatro de nosotros visitamos ayer para almorzar. Justo al lado de Clapham Common. Pensamos que la comida era excelente, una interesante variedad de quiches y sabrosas ensaladas y sin duda volveremos en la zona.

I used to love this place. Came loyally for 3 years but today was terrible. It’s so loud - no insulation and they stack the plates at the front so we had to scream at each other. Too many tables so the waiters were rushed off their feet. The same waitress who took our order returned 5 minutes later to ask if we wanted to order. Then the smashed avo was so small and basic for £7, I could have made a better version at home. Very disappointed in an old favourite of mine.

Absolutely delicious breakfast. Perfectly presented, as in top restaurant presentation. Try to make here once a month. Runny poached eggs, avocado, tomato salsa and the special TART twist of a thin pastry top. (I’ve added a photo as my description doesn’t do it justice) Once my poached eggs weren’t runny and before I’ve even noticed the chef came to apologise and let me know he’d be bringing more. Cool, casual service. Cash only. 5* breakfast with coffee around £12

This café is in the centre of Clapham on the trendy Pavement, a two minute walk from the tube station. On a Saturday lunch time it was packed with trendy Clapham hipsters (if such a genre exists as most young people in Clapham appear middle-aged and replicas of their middle-class parents!) The café has a short menu of tart-like dishes. My friend had an eggs Benedict (£9)but, unlike the traditional version which is served on a muffin, this came with a pastry side. She said it was nice. I had a Summer slaw salad bowl (£8.50). It was not large, despite being billed that way, but as it was full of ingredients such as cabbage, it was quite filling. It was certainly tasty. I did not like the fact that the bowl was chipped in several places, though, and consider this not good management as it is potentially a health hazard. A San Pellegrino can of fizzy orange cost £2. No alcohol is served. Our waitress was very pleasant and a service charge was added so the bill came to £21.45: not cheap but not expensive; middle of the road, which was rather like the experience.

Quite a lot of competition in clapham at the moment, but I still hold Tart has the best coffee in Clapham. Lovely little place; good atmosphere, great location, dog friendly and lovely staff.

The WiFi is painfully slow. I ordered eggs Benedict and asked for some ketchup and all they had was a hot sauce which I found weird. The first breakfast to arrive had uncooked egg white it inedible. The second breakfast was so over cooked the hard egg yolk would have been worth two points in snooker. I would have thought they would have got the second breakfast right knowing the first one was as bad as it. Didn’t bother to wait for a third but was charged for my coffee and no apology. This is a hipster type cafe but before all the fancy stuff they should concentrate on getting the basics right.

My partner and I popped in to buy lunch at the branch in Clapham - a tart, a pot of salad and a bottle of apple juice. And the meal was very tasty indeed. All the tarts they make are gluten free, which is handy if you are on that diet, and there are vegan options too. We will certainly be going back when we're next in the area.

We were recommended this cafe and we were so pleased we found it, we had an amazing breakfast. The gluten free cornbread was just wonderful with perfectly ripe avo and runny eggs, I ate the lot! I like this spot, the coffee is really good but both brunches I’ve had have only been average. I think the reason being the only gluten free bread alternative is slab of thick, dry, heavy cornbread- dry cake consistency. And when your scrambled eggs are also quite dry that leads to disaster..... Please bring another GF bread alternative in - the 3 of us were GF and not impressed!!

A lovely sunny November morning, we wanted breakfast after an early Saturday start. K used her app and found these guys on our route to the Drumshack. We arrived just before 10:00 and there were quite a few tables to choose from, 15 minutes later the place was full. Very friendly and efficient service - a wonderful pot of breakfast tea with huge loose leaves, this seems to stop the brew stewing and I got 3 cups from the pot. K enjoyed a peppermint brew. I chose a goats cheese and chorizo flan, this came with a flurry of wonderfully dressed leaves, and really hit the spot, I was replete. K went exotic - 2 gorgeous poached eggs presented on haloumi between puff pastry pillows and then dressed - wow! Then they undercharged us...... I had to own up, we. cant have these guys going out of business. We set off on our walk through the park with huge smiles.

I’ve been here for business, leisure with friends and with family. Every time has been a good experience. Coffee is consistent and to my liking. (I’m a fussy cow!) They offer a nice selection of tarts and cakes. They have high chairs for kidd. They offer indoor and outdoor seating which is lovely to people watch or enjoy the sunshine. Staff are always friendly. On a business visit to Clapham Common today, I was taken to 'Tart' - easily found and less than a 5 minute walk from the Tube Station - for a light lunch. This worked out very well because - as the name suggests - the prime offerings are Tarts! I opted for the Chorizo one with salad (again a multiple choice) which was not only delicious but - at £8.75 - very good value for money. Service is also first-class so an eaterie certainly worth bearing in mind but - as it's not huge - don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table to come free!

I'll cut to the chase, they produce delicate, well thought out, balanced and scrumptious dishes at a reasonable price (for London)At around £8.75 you can get a couple of poached eggs, a generous portion of smoked salmon and a reasonable hollandaise in a shorter than short, 3mm thin, blind baked pastry dish. The coffee was surprisingly fruity and sweet, a nice surprise to the usual empty dishwater coming out of Brickwood over the road.My companions were similarly impressed with the dishes that were delivered. (I have to say this place is not where you want to find yourself if your planning in 'curing' a hangover however; no full English or kippers in sight on the menu.)Overall a lovely plate of food and a nice place to watch the world go by.

Stayed over at my daughter's flat in Brixton and she treated me to brunch (me paying of course!) and said the 25 minute walk to Tart would be worth it.She was right and if I was anywhere near Tart I'd be there all the time.Small, but perfectly proportioned cafe, very friendly and welcoming service, menu covering everything you'd want for brek/brunch - and I presume lunch though I wasn't looking for that - with well presented food, perfectly cooked and with the bonus of good coffee. Only thing to improve would be on making the espresso cup hotter when serving. My daughter has Halloumi, avo and poached egg, I went for the classic Tart Benedict and was delighted by the lightness of the pastry, proper "egginess" of the egg and having it poached perfectly. And the Parma ham was just so with a cracking Mayo. About as good as it gets and I've had a lot of Benedicts!I noticed as we left that they do picnic hamper hires, what a great idea. We left a bit after midday by which time it had filled up with lunchers. They deserve to do well and a visit is thoroughly recommended.

The girl serving us was extremely friendly, she deserves to know she's great at her job! I also very much enjoyed that service charge wasn't automatically added, as i believe you should have a choice to tip. In this case as it was so good we tipped more than what would have been a service charge anyway! Will definitely be coming back with the boyfriend for a lunch tart!

The concept is lovely the environment is lovely. It's a bit like being handed a beautifully wrapped present but then you open it and get disappointed. Admittedly my feedback will effect a minority of people however as a point of principle I do think it's important for a cafe to have a certain level of knowledge of the food they are serving. Tart London widely promotes its "gluten free" menu however when I visited staff knowledge of ingredients used was very poor and they didn't know the difference between gluten and wheat. Clearly getting flustered when I asked, not welcoming my basic questions. They couldn't tell me which of their products had wheat vs gluten. I had to explain the difference. Not all gluten is wheat. I can eat non-wheat gluten. There are people like me. I like to know what I'm eating, if a cafe / restaurant can't tell me primary ingredients, I think that's quite concerning. If it advertises "gluten free" without knowing basic details this feels like there is a lack of care for the food. Looking at the busy tables they seem to offer a pleasurable basic service but expect anything more and this seems to take them out of their comfort zone. I hope things improve.

I can't fault this place for its amazing food . I went with a friend and I chose the pancetta with poached pear tart .... Simply delicious . My friend went for the cauliflower salad which was equally good . If I'm to criticise my tart could've been hotter and there was a small hair in my friend's salad - not a welcome addition . The coffee was served from a La Marzoco machine and it was good but the baristas weren't skilled in latte art which is becoming almost the norm nowadays . We had quite a wait so service is one thing that could be improved . In short this place serves scrumptious tarts and food but the missing 5th star is due to the criticisms mentioned . I will definitely return .

This is a very friendly cafe/restaurant serving quiches, salads, cakes and tarts. Always full of happy customers (99% female clientele when I was there - quite a girly vibe). I had a salmon and pea tart, which was huge, delicious and very filling! The staff are really wonderful, they have a very nice, welcoming way about them, and I felt like part of a community. It is just a shame that the windows at the front (which perfectly overlook the common) aren't used for seating, and instead the 'bar' seating faces the, not so scenic, wall. It would need a rejig of the till area, but in my opinion would be well worth the effort to have seating overlooking the park! Also, the seats could be a lot more comfortable - very hard to find a comfy place to sit in all the cafes in Clapham!

been for breakfast and lunch on a couple of occasions. Beautiful, savoury tarts made with fresh ingredients and can be combined with exciting, fun side salads (think quinoa or black rice with grilled aubergines and sweet potatoes and chickpeas... not an Iceberg in sight). Coffee is decent and made by skilled staff. General atmosphere is very warm, cheerful and welcoming. Decor is stylish and modern (exposed brickwork and industrial chic). Seating is quite limited, so can get a little crammed and confusing, and price is a little on the steep side! But it is delicious and fresh! Would only wish they'd add more choice and breadth to the menu - even though the place is called 'Tart'... ;) they are quite new, so perhaps they will add to their repertoire as time goes on... will definitely be back to see.

They also have fantastic salads and sides and when the weather is nice you can even rent a hamper (picnic basket) full of yumminess to enjoy on the common. What's more is they have really friendly and attentive service. This is a place worth visiting over and over.

I really like this place. It's just off of the common so a perfect light lunch treat after a loop round. The space is open and there isn't loads of seating area (which is the case for a lot of the cafes in Clapham it seems) but is worth sitting in on a rainy day. The tarts themselves are really nice, but I would say overpriced for what they are. The coffee is good and affordable. I'd definitely go back again, but I think doing a better deal on the tarts could make tart even more popular than it already is.

Really disappointed. The café has recently come under new management and the quality of the coffee and pastries plus the service has really gone downhill. Hostile atmosphere from the staff. Terrible coffee (milk either burnt or lukewarm, doesn't look like they know the difference between a latte and a flat white). Out of date pastries. This used to be a great little local spot but not anymore. The new owners need to make an effort to train their staff and get on top of fresh produce deliveries (what happened to the amazing almond and chocolate croissants?).
