Taroka is our go-to for Indian takeaway. Always excellent food, delicious and always great service. We collect our orders as we are local so can't comment on delivery

We have had the last few take outs from here and haven't been disappointed with the food taste, quantity or quality. The delivery time is the only minor criticism, but this can be avoided by just collecting. Overall, we're very satisfied with taroka. Keep up the good work.

Pre-ordered directly from the website for the first delibery slot and food was extremely late. When I called to chase up, half an hour after our latest time, I was simply told its on the way and then hung up on. Extremely poor service

Ordered food ready early, very good quality and full of flavour. Would recommend based on the food I had tonight.

Standards seem to have slipped poor service small portions can’t even get hold of them on the phone

Ordered from here due to limited choice of Indian takeaways, I can certainly see why its only got around 3 stars.. Shame I couldn't have ordered from elsewhere as the star rating did put me off. Food arrived not piping hot, had to warm up the curry in the microwave before eating. The onion baji's were so dry and chewy, had the texture of eating like jerky or something. Curry's tasted nice but were a little watery and the flavours just weren't as rich as other places I've ordered from. Naan bread was too stodgy as well. It was alright in a pinch, but I wouldn't order again and I wouldn't recommend either.

Changed ownership, old website running that lets you pay but doesn't send the order. Taroka takes no responsibility for this error, even when you arrive to collect. Spent money, received nothing - AVOID !!! Sad that even when you have an email confirmation and can show them the bank payment to their trading name, that you leave hungry. Used for over a decade, won't be using again - SAD.

Been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal yet, and the staff are always friendly and polite. Delivery is usually pretty quick too

Not normally a great fan of Indian food to be honest prefer a good Chinese but Wow the food was amazing and I mean amazing large portions and so much flavour. We will definitely be ordering again. Also the price is a lot less than other Indian restaurants that deliver.

Delicious food, we always get this takeaway as the food is amazing. However when ordering online it takes A LOT longer than the time frame they give you. Multiple times we’ve been waiting over 20 minutes from the time frame and have had some instances where they’ve forgotten to do our order at all.

Never known a curry to be so watery! Won’t be ordering from here again. Absolutely disgusting

Order one hour and twenty minutes late, food cold they lied saying they tried to deliver my order and put the phone down on me twice. I have contacted just eat for a full refund. Never again don’t waste you money

We have had regular fantastic takeaways from Taroka. Always a good quantity of food that's really tasty, cooked in an open kitchen and reasonably priced. It's our go-to for Indian food. We generally call up and collect, some of the negative reviews seem to be due to delivery.

Absolute disgrace made an order and when it got delivered it got given to someone's kids playing outside ! And when I rang them about it they just basically said tuff there's nothing they can do DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Food is good and great value. Take estimated times with a pinch of salt, usually around 20-30 minutes later than stated.

Food arrived 45mins late & cold. Nothing special about the food at all, best bit was the mint sauce & poppadoms. Sadly wont order again. Two stars- 1 for the guy on the phone & 1 for delivery guy - they were nice.

The set meal for 2 is the best value for money around, easily enough to feed 4

Terrible tikka masala. Sweeter than a pudding and absolutely no chargrilled smoke flavour. Horrible stuff.

Wish I didn't try this place. Chips cold, curry Luke warm and didn't taste nice and to top it off forgot my drink. Save your money!!!

Best Indian takeaway around. Tasty, chunky meat dishes with plenty of delicious sauce. (Not swimming in oil!)

Incredible restaurant, I can't recommend it enough. Everything we tried was fantastic from the scallion pancakes, the ramen noodle soup and the taroko chicken. 5 out 5 stars.

Ordered a curry last night it was awful dry and tasteless..I was feeling Poorly today and so was my partner we didn’t finish the food. I threw it away had just under half… it was not tasty and I have been sick for the day and night… would not recommend and I won’t be going back… I ordered korma with chicken and my partner order the jalfrezi it again was tasteless…

I have been buying Currys from Taroka for 7 years Never ever had a bad one. This curry house is highly recommended. To all the staff keep up the excellent work.👍👍

Seemed to be the only place open Christmas night. We fancied something different to eat on the way back to our hotel. Hot food & presented well. Tasted good too with big helpings. Excellent.

Wish I had read the reviews. Ordered at 7:40 via uber eats, estimated arrival 8:20-8:50. Phoned Phoned them at 9:30 asking where the food was - hurried off the call 'its on its way'. An hour later and still no food, so I call again... 'it's on it's way' - I then politely discussed that I was told this an hour before. Eventually the food was delivered, at 10:41, unfortunately it was to the wrong address on the same street. I called the restaurant, they couldnt have been any less help, it was very much my problem at this point. Utter rubbish, avoid like the plague.

Food was quick and absolutely delicious. They put in a few extras added too.

Beautiful curry, friendly staff. Does all the unusual curry I like, with fruit and honey, and the popular dishes like tikka are so much better than other curry houses. Wouldn't order anywhere else again.

First order I wasn’t impressed but got a full refund from Uber eats, decided to give them a second chance a few months later. Excellent food this time thank you Taroka.

They sent the wrong meal twice in a row over a 1 month period, they promised s a free meal next time to compensate, phoned for the meal and they made all the excuses under the sun not to honour it......

Pre-ordered but order not delivered, after an hour late I tried calling numerous times but there was no answer, very poor! Will not use again!

Absolutely disgusting! Placed an order at 5pm with an estimated delivery of 6:05pm. Arrived at 6:45pm and the order was incomplete, it had one of the main meals missing. When I called for an explanation I was told “These things happen, it’s a mistake”! After much back & forth over what they were willing to do (refused a refund on the dish, refused any extra dishes by way of an apology) they sent out the missing meal! When it arrived, the container was piping hot but the dish inside was warm at best. The entire order all looked the same, was all completely tasteless, the poppadoms were soft & soggy & the onion Bhajis literally had oil dripping through the bottom of the bag! I would avoid ever ordering from this shambles of a take away. The staff are rude, the customer service is basically non existent & the food is absolutely vile, never had an Indian meal so bad! Never using them again!

Curry is horrible awful! Stopped going there 2 years ago, then recently I forgot how bad they were , went back to order and got disappointed , the only thing good is the Naans.

I have literally been getting take aways from this place for at least 5 years, actually taking time to read some of the reviews is.... Surprising to say the least. I have NEVER had a bad curry from this place in that whole time... May be I have been lucky by what I have read. Food portions always good, staff friendly, sometimes run half hour behind but never waited longer than that, food always hot enough to still enjoy. It's a small take away resteraunt with limited chefs and delivery service but they always try there best in there and are no doubt run off there feet. I would highly recommend the chicken norjaharny and the garlic chicken special and the chilli chicken special if you like a kick!! I recommend this place highly!! 👍

Never ordered from here before and was very disappointed it was tasteless and the chicken was horrible.it was normal chicken just chucked in the sauce. Wont be ordering again.

Tastes like diahorrea and vomiting tomorrow!! Aswell as being late. The food was an absolute disgrace. The plain popadoms had more favor than the curry. The chicken used tastes like rubber that has been left of slow cook for 3 days. I got about 7 mouthfuls into my meal and gave up. I think one star is being generous for this, but the other reviews would appear that people are happy with their food 🤨

Nothing short of discusting, would sooner eat my own foot than eat here again. Called to try to resolve the issue with the food and I was met with a combative attitude, and was told no one had ever complained before... Pretty sure this is going to make ill.

I placed an order last night and after 3 hours and numerous calls to the restaurant it did not arrive. They are refusing to give me a refund as they are saying they delivered it! Absolute disgrace of a company and will not be ordering from this place again!

Used be really good .recently made me unwell the two times I've had it and found out from a friend has now got a 1star hygiene rating which they don't seem to display in store. When called to complain it was late basically got told where to go . Was best Indian takeaway around before not sure I'll visit again now

We ordered last night using just eat. The food is cheap enough but to be honest id have rather had kept my money. The curry was pretty bland, the onion bhajis tasted like they were pre made and re heated, almost like a stale taste. The naan was ok. Wouldn’t order again.

I'm not a big takeaway user, and although it is 15 miles from my home, I've used Taroka a few times over the past couple of years. The food is excellent and the price is good. Last night I had a prawn puri and a lamb Vindaloo and pilau rice, which came with the standard popadom onion mix and dip sauce free of charge. The Vindaloo is spicy without being painful, but is is also full of flavour as it should be, said that, it still hurts on the way out as per tradition. I've tried other dishes as well from here, such as the rogan and the tikka Masala, and all were up to the expectation. One place where they could improve is adding a welcoming smile when you get in, otherwise it is perfect.

Very poor experience of ordering through just eat. Order placed at 21.30 for 22.25 delivery. At 23.15 order chased up with just eat and restaurant cancelled order with no explanation whatsoever. Very poor show by Taroka who should be trying to win over new customers.... needless to say I won’t bother with Taroka the future or recommend them!

Love the curry at this place. Its fresh and full of flavour. To set expectations, you will probably have a bit of a wait if you want delivery. They say about 45 mins and it is usually about an hour. This is a small price to pay though. On that note, price is pretty good. Even better if you pick it up yourself. Personally I strongly recommend having the pathia.

Good service not too long to wait. Food is good. Not the best but nice enough to return for convenience.

Appalling service. Ordered at 7:15pm Saturday evening via Just Eat. ETA for delivery was amended to 8:10pm. At 8:20pm I called and spoke to a woman. Was told it was on its way and should be with me shortly. I asked when the driver left, she said “2-3mins ago”. At 8:40pm I called again and spoke to a man this time. I hear the previous lady in the background saying “they should have had that by now”. He reiterated the driver had left and that it should be with me any minute and that they were sorry but short staffed and it was a new driver. I asked him to call the driver to check. At 9:11pm I tried again. This time no answer. I call again on my partners phone, suspecting they were avoiding my previous call. They pick up straight away and I speak to the first woman again. She then speaks to her colleagues in the background (whilst I can hear everything) where they start arguing over where the order is, they I have been “on their case all night” and that she isn’t going to deal with the call anymore. Arguing continues for a few minutes where they dispute over who is going to deal with me. Highly unprofessional! Finally a different man comes to the phone to say there has been a technical error and the ticket never came out the printer. They can make my food now and have it to me shortly. At this point I tell them not to bother as no doubt it will take another 2 hours to get to me and they are taking the p*#s!! I asked why I was told that the driver had left over an hour ago (twice!!) as this was obviously a complete lie. He admitted this was a lie and apologised again. I advised them I no longer wanted the food and to cancel the order. I left a review on Just Eat but as they cancelled me order on there, the review has been removed. Hence leaving it on here! Whole situation could have been avoided and resolved it the truth was told at the first phone call. We aren’t even a 10 min drive away! Avoid!! Other reviews on Just Eat tell similar story so should have known better.

HORRIFIED!!! Our family of 4 ordered Dinner this evening from this place... BAD IDEA!!! We only live up the road on Sandy Lane therefore the order didnt take long although when it came our complete order was WRONG and ICE COLD. My mother phoned back to correct THEIR MISTAKES and the Man on the phone said "WE ARE BUSY AND ARE TOO BUSY TO CORRECT YOUR ORDER" in a very RUDE manor. We were left with no choice but to suffer the food we were WRONGLY given. The KORMA WAS FULL OF WATER and the rest of the dishes were TASTELESS. A complete WASTE OF MONEY and when we informed the Man on the phone of our HORRID INCORRECT DINNERS he was not at all bothered about us not returning therefore they DO NOT VALUE CUSTOMERS. WHAT AN ABSOUTE JOKE AND WASTE OF MONEY, TIME AND LIFE!!!

Eaten here three times now. It's so good best curry I've had! Always thought curry was mediocre until I ate from here. It tastes homemade! Make sure you order direct from them however as hungry house and just eat take a high percentage.

Got the order wrong wouldn't give a refund as I paid by card and didn't know how too!! "Good customer service" my ar**!!!! And top it off was worst curry I think iv had. It had more water than the Atlantic Ocean literally swimming, bland food Had better curry in a microwave AVOID if you want to have a nice meal and don't mind being left pocketless and disappointed totally disheartened as usually don't have a problem not happy with there customer service at all !!!
