China Wok in Eastleigh

This is my new ‘go to’ Chinese takeaway in Chandler’s Ford. The food is tasty, piping hot and flavoursome. Not had a bad meal and have been using for several months. The China Wok is in the Precinct and should not be confused with “The New China Wok” in Bournemouth Road

The best oriental food in Chandler’s Ford. Excellent pancake rolls with very light crispy batter. The other dishes were piping hot and flavoursome. Highly recommend Please do not confuse with The New China Wok in Bournemouth Road. Go to The China Wok in The Precinct, Bournemouth Road 🤗

We ordered chicken balls but ended up with a mixture of pork, beef, and prawn plus the main meals were no where near as good as the last time we ordered from them

Great Chinese takeaway. It's always cheaper to phone and pay cash they don't accept card payment though unless you pay through the website which costs more, Overall very nice food and friendly service.

Awful awful awful- total waste of money- literally chucked it all in the bin. That picture is ment to be Thai Red Curry!! Flavours were disgusting and the meat! That’s a whole story on its own- not sure where on earth they are getting there chicken but I wouldn’t feed that to my dog. Places like this should be embarrassed stealing peoples money- DO NOT Recommend even for a dog!

Best Chinese takeaway in the Eastleigh area. We drive 15 minutes to get our food from China Wok. Singapore chow mein and chicken satay skewers are our favourites! Definitely recommend!

Always used to be good . I wouldn't bother now . I think I had washing up water rather than soup, spare ribs floating in water rather than bbq sauce , curry was probably passable

Really disappointed with this, beef with mushroom was raw! It also had a weird fishy taste before we noticed it was raw. The special chow mein had huge pieces of raw onion so that's all it tasted of.

Soggy thick noodles which smelt musty - odd. Pork with rice was okay in the mix box.

Review based on 2 occasions now of the Boss lady being utterly rude with no social skills. We've used china wok a few times and had orders of nearly £100 maybe more on 2 occassions, when all family have been here. Previous time I was called with an apology from her son! I cancelled an order moments after placing last night, as my neurodiverse children were tired and it was going to be too late afterall.. To have said boss call and shout down the phone in an intimidating threatening way. Not exactly how to keep customers. She's lost our custom due to her disgusting behaviour. Feel sorry for her children. Be aware.

Started using as the other Chinese in Romsey was awful. Highly recommend, good tasting food, it arrives warm, delivery is quick. Will order from here again.

I have been eating from this Chinese for about 15 years now and I really enjoy it. The food is always hot, cooked fresh and the flavours are there. There is a good variety of food and the portions are plentiful.

This is my favourite place to get Chinese food from. Always piping hot always fresh. Massive selection on the menu and the delivery time is really fast even on a busy day.

Been a long time customer and order online through the website. It has always been good until now. I placed a order last night and got no confirmation Email. I then waited hours and nothing. They took the money from my bank account of course but i got no order. Soooo pretty angry now. Hope the £13 was worth it as you just lost a customer! Staying in a hotel visiting from Oxford. This is one of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever eaten from. Pork was THICK and had some fat in it. Perfect. Black bean sauce was subtle instead of overpowering. Delicious. Delivery driver was a legend too.

Quality is a constant and never a bad week out of a month. Tasty fresh and always good service. Crispy shredded chilli beef, Kung Po Chicken and Singapore chow mien are exceptional.

Ordered for a specific time. And they arrived 40 mins before my family arrived. Also ordered mixed sweet and sour balls and all were chicken. I checked every one. And came with a strange watery noodle dish. Instead of what we asked for. Delivery driver came back and apologised whilst the owner/manager screamed at me down the phone. Refused to take it back or part refund. AVOID

If you like the Chinese food, this place is for you.The food is always fresh and tasty. Delivery could be better, but we understand that they have some trouble with drivers.

Awful awful!! We always order from China wok and tonight we found a black hair in the Chicken chow main!!!! It completely put me off my food and I will never ever order from you again, absolutely disgusting, we phoned them up to let them know and all they said was “ that does happen once in a while” who even says that!!!!

Sadly very dissatisfied after around a year or so of regular custom. Food came cold and later than told with no communication from the restaurant.

Had another great takeaway from China Wok last night. Started using them during lockdown as our usual wasn’t open and found them on Just Eat. Really pleased with the quality of the food, never get a disappointing dish. I would highly recommend this Chinese takeaway. Top tip, we phone direct now to order as much cheaper than ordering on Just Eat!

Our regular Chinese takeaway for good reason! Great food, quick delivery and all round good service. Suggest placing orders directly as much cheaper than the available apps. I personally think it is quicker too.

Because common sense in these uncertain times with Covid 19 featuring on every news flash I thought the best thing to do is to call early and ask Do you deliver? To my home address? How long is the wait ? Could you deliver @ 6pm ? What measures are you taking to keep safe? They answered all my questions so I called back and placed my order They delivered our order @ 6pm The food was hot and tasty The price was much the same as other outlets In all I am very satisfied with the food quality and the service provided Take away food can never be a La Carte It is what it is people so realign your expectations and stop moaning about people trying to provide a service and earn a living

This is not a complaint about the standard of food more on their customer service. We live 4.3 miles from the premises and as they deliver up to 5 miles radius we expected a delivery as ordered. However, after accepting our post code and payment details they cancelled 30 minutes after confirming the order with no explanation whatsover. By this time we had settled down with a drink so was unable to drive out to sort out anything else. After ringing the restaurant they stated first of all that we lived to far out to deliver and then they changed it to lack of delivery staff. Our daughter who lives closer to them and who recommended the restaurant, also ordered the same evening and received their meal with no peoblem. Not very impressed. Just received asn email from them to say that my refund has been processed but can take up to 10 days to return to my account. Even less impressed.

We've never tried China Wok before but we're pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and tasty. We had an awful experience with a takeaway Romsey/North baddesley area last week which looks impressive from outside so felt a bit worried about trying a new place. Maybe the people who wrote the bad reviews for China Wok should try the place we tried last week. We will be back in the future as we were really pleased. If we were picky we'd probably say the chips were a bit hard but perfectly acceptable. We'll done China Wok for carrying on in the current situation.

I wouldn’t bother again, they regularly refuse orders so you never know if they’re going to want to deliver to you or not and make up excuses which are totally unprofessional. Food isn’t great anyway, is usually quite cold and had some awful rubbery chicken. Generally disappointing considering the price is higher than others in the area.

Delivery was quite quick. Unfortunately the packaging they use is useless! You can see from the photos the bags the chips came in had disintegrated, unfortunately when I opened the plastic carrier bag our dinner was delivered in a portion of chips fell all over the floor because the bag they had been put in had fallen apart! Great waste of money, and a greasy kitchen floor to clean before I could eat as well! Chicken satay was dry and tough, not much satay sauce either. Free mini vegetarian rolls supplied went in the bin (joining the wasted chips which ended up on the floor!), just greasy and tasteless. Regular spring rolls were OK, not much meat in them though. Prawn with cashew nuts was nice. Not somewhere we will be ordering from again.

The ribs and dumplings are fab, the Singapore noodles are well loved by my family and great service. We will be ordering from here on a regular basis I'm sure .

I pre-ordered on the Just Eat website, never received a order confirmation so decided to ring them. I was told they don't sell on Just Eat yet but placed an order for delivery at 5.30pm on the phone anyway. At 6pm it still hadn't arrived and I tried ringing several times before I got through to a member of staff. I was told that as they didn't have a phone number for me they were unable to deliver as the driver couldn't find the house. This is not true and supposedly they tried to ring me back and the number was blocked, also not true. Their only response to this was to deliver in an hour or go for collection in 20 minutes, suggesting they had never made up the order or tried to deliver. Operator on the phone was evasive and unhelpful, just saying there was nothing he could do as there was nothing wrong with the food there was no problem. Would absolutely not order from here ever again.

I ordered takeaway from here and wasnt disappointed. The delivery was on time as promised. I had shredded chicken for starter and then had sczechaun chicken for main. I enjoyed the dishes and would use this takeout again.

Spent £18 on quarter duck and these crispy wontons. So not worth it. The little bit of meat in the pic is the entire filling of a wonton... And it didn't even taste good. Also food was 20mins late. Had to ring to find out where it was.

There are better Chinese takeaways in the Eastleigh / Chandlers Ford area. I found the food very greasy and not very tasty. I would chose the Canton House or Peking Phoenix over here every time. Unfortunately the Canton House doesn't deliver and the Peking is closed on Sunday's

Awful meal, cold, no taste, rubber chicken, we have just wasted £50.00 on this. Save your money and go elsewhere. So much for new management. Chicken curry has separated and has a lot of water as though it was a frozen meal and not mixed. Disgusting.

Pedimos una comida para dos y algunos extras, y nos pareció que había demasiado. Logrado mantener algunos platos volver a comerlo más tarde. No tuve que esperar mucho tiempo. El único problema fue el aparcamiento, no es un gran número de espacios y la carretera estaba lleno a veces.

Entrega tomó casi una hora, comida fría y platos de carne pic con verduras (lo que significa pagar un montón de verduras y carne muy poco), no muy sabrosa. Servicio de atención al cliente penoso cuando intenté quejarme, ni siquiera un completo reembolso. Definitivamente no lo recomiendo. Todavía tenía que pagar una tarifa de entrega a pesar de pasar más de 30 libras y tenía que conducir de vuelta a quejarme ya que no en el teléfono. Horrible llevar.

La comida estaba tibia y sin sabor. Asquerosa. No me molestaría usar este lugar ya que hay muchas otras buenas para llevar en la zona.

Cold food, items missing and the pork balls contained gristly lumps of fatty cold pork. The only nice thing was the egg fried rice, or it would've been if it wasn't also cold. There are too many other good take away restaurants around to bother...

Picked up takeaway from here and was disappointed. Portion sizes were small so found it to be expensive for what you got and food didn't have much flavour.

Mostly good. I was a bit perturbed to discover that what I thought were salt crystals in the seaweed were actually sugar crystals. I don't know if this was a mistake but it tasted weird and unpleasantly sweet.

China Wok used to deliver quality flavoursome food but last nights was the worst Chinese I've had in a long time and I'm afraid to say it seems to be the norm from them now. The "chicken" tasted of nothing and had a texture like it was pumped full of water. The beef was grey in colour and also had a swollen watery texture. My chefs special dish was supposed to be spicy and contain Cantonese spices..I think they forgot these as it tasted of nothing. We paid £25 for a shared starter, 2 mains and a shared rice; a premium price but unfortunately the food was not premium quality. It's also the only Chinese takeaway I've spent £25 at and not received free prawn crackers! As a positive, delivery only took 20minutes and when re-delivering the incorrect starter they sent and the prawn dish we requested to replace the "chicken" it only took 15mins. Sorry China Wok but we'll be ordering elsewhere in the future.
