Tapenades in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Called twice each time web site saying open but on arrival at 17.45 closed,need to up date web site, unfortunately lost customer,

Tapenades catered for a wake for us. They were exceptional from start to finish. Very accommodating, dietary requests no problem. They come and set up, serve, help, clean, pack up and leave. All very professional and working hard but effortlessly in the background. Great comnunication throughout the whole planning and process. Food is absolutely lovely, and the prices are very competetive and the quality is suoerb.

We read the reviews and decided to arrange for a takeaway to be delivered. We were 5 miles from Liskeard but there was no extra charge for delivery. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, even though it was a takeaway. Because there was a slight delay we were called to advise what time the delivery would be made. Would recommend this service for a fine dining experience.

We used Tapanades for a family funeral wake The service from Sue and Mike was fantastic and professional right from the start,they done a buffet meal for 100 people and the food was 100% excellent as was the service,thank you for making a emotional day bearable.

I have had the pleasure of numerous dining experiences with Tapenades over many years. Unlike so many restaurants, standards have never been allowed to slip - even when having to adapt the business due to the covid pandemic, well done! The local community rightly continue to support this jewel in our midst.

Can't fault any aspect of our meals. We booked a delivery slot about a week ago, and the night before, advised them of our choices . All our meals were delicious, generous portions and delivered right on time, highly recommended!!

Thoroughly enjoyed another meal from Tapenades. It was delivered on time, ready to eat and we all agreed that it was delicious! Loved the starters, then the sea bass with paella, the duck, the pork, mint choc cheesecake, creme brulee … all FABULOUS! Thank you.

This was the second time we had indulged ourselves in the takeaway service from Tapenades, the first being my husbands birthday in December and of course Valentines Day. Yes, its lovely to go out for a meal but this really is the next best thing, quality and value for money are certainly not compromised and the food, simply gorgeous. If you have never enjoyed the fayre at Tapenades either eating in or the takeaway, then you really are missing out on a gastronomic treat. Wow wow wow! Had a takeaway yesterday, lamb shank with steamed vegetables, absolutely gorgeous meal as I would expect from such a great restaurant, food 10/10, highly recommend tapenades if you want quality and a touch of fine dining. Well done tapenades, we will be back.

For being a real "foody couple, we appreciate good food and Tapenades doesn't disappoint. Whilst its gastro dining to your doorstep, everything is piping hot on arrival, flavoursome and good sized portions. What a great experience to have quality cooked food in the comfort of our home. This is our go to place when family and friends come to stay.

Absolutely, hands down, the best food I've ever had delivered.

On the last day of our holiday in Cornwall we decided to order a takeaway from Tapenades and we were so glad we did. Mark was incredibly polite on the phone when taking our order, it arrived on time and still piping hot. Between my family we ordered 3 different main dishes and deserts and all tasted amazing, so much so I actually phoned up after to compliment the chef. If we were staying longer we would definitely be ordering again. If you’d like a high quality meal at a very reasonable price you will not be disappointed, this restaurant deserves to do well.

Fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough. Delicious and appetising food delivered hot and on time right into our holiday cottage kitchen. The restaurant owners were friendly and helpful. Thermistor,filo mushroom, monkfishx2 and chocolate pudding x2 arrived spot on time all hot straight to table. This isn't takeaway food, this is gourmet food delivered to your door, good sized portion at an excellent price.

Fantastic! I cannot recommend the food and service enough! We ordered from the online menu and the food was delivered at an agreed time to our holiday lodge. The food was hot upon arrival and they even managed to maintain the presentation in the serving pots which we could put straight on our plates which we had kept warm in the oven. The food was absolutely delicious, home cooked with lovely flavours. This was by far the best meal we have had all holiday - fine dining and delivered to your doorstep. I would thoroughly recommend!

Just had a meal delivered from Tapenades. It was the best we have received. We had heard it was good and it lived up to its reputation. The starters were great but the main course of sea bass with risotto rice, potatoes and vegetables was simply scrumpscious. We could not manage any desert. We will certainly be back there when lockdown is over.

Three of us ordered take-away twice recently - for my friend's 60th birthday and for Valentine's Day. We each ordered a starter and main course. We were blown away by how tasty the food is. Two of us "live to eat" while the other "eats to live." She said both meals were the best she's ever had. I think she is finally understanding "live to eat," as she said she wants to order again before my friend and I had back to the States.Between the three of us, we've had the fresh baked bread, chicken liver pate, tomato and basil soup, Cornish crab pot, and scallops florentine for starters and seabass fillets, confit duck, monkfish, and rack of lamb for our mains. All were sooooo good, we'd have them again! Also, the mains are so large, you can make two meals out of them. If I could only have two items to chose from, it would be the scallops florentine and monkfish in sweet thai chilli sauce, as I love Cornish scallops and monkfish. But after saying this, if you aren't a fish fan, you can't lose as there are plenty of other choices.I want to also note that my friend is dairy-allergic and the restaurant did a wonderful job of providing alternatives. Oh, and the guy who delivered our meals was delightful and charming, despite the horrible rainy weather. I rated the service "excellent" due to him.I've eaten at many great restaurants in the U.S. and Europe. This one ranks right up there in the "best" restaurants category. Oh, and I almost forgot, it is extremely reasonably priced. We would pay double for those meals at other "best" restaurants.

This really is the best takeaway. The food is amazing! We’ve had a few deliveries now and love trying different things here because we know it’ll be good. I agree with others about the lamb needing a gravy or sauce though. Looking forward to ordering again soon :)

Ordered the take away service ( delivered to our campsite) as the restaurant is closed due to COVID. I highly recommend this place. We had devilled kidneys, roast pork belly, asparagus pancake, and for sweets we had banana toffee pie. I have no idea how they manage to make it taste so good from take away cartons but they did. We tried to book a table here, but were told due to Covid and being such a small place they had adapted and were doing local deliveries. Unable to book for Saturday on the day, we opted for a Monday evening delivery to our holiday cottage not far from their base. We ordered the chicken liver pate and roasted dates wrapped in parma ham. I'd highly recommend the pate but the dates were not to my taste. Followed by the rack of lamb x 2 and the monkfish in sweet thai chilly cream sauce.The food was lovely but I'd suggest the lamb needed some gravy or sauce of some kind to top the dish of well. The potato dauphinoise was delicious and for us the extra potatoes were excess to requirements. The curry went down well but did need warming up, glad we had a microwave.All in all a lovely service and a great way of adapting to keep the business love. thank you

Discovered the absolute delights of Tapenades whilst on a short break. I won't beat around the bush so I will just say it is the best food I have ever tasted - and I like my food 😂 Had 2 out of the 3 evening meals delivered from them but I wish now we had done all 3! We were staying at Holiday Property Bond Duloe Manor. We didn’t want to cook, or drive, so we asked for recommendations from the property manager, Michelle. Tapenades was the top one. We were not disappointed. We should say that we are inexperienced home delivery diners, so we rang the day before to place our order. This was at the restaurant’s busiest time, so the person we spoke to promised to ring us back later.This he did, so we placed our order, which arrived at Duloe Manor at exactly the time we requested, preceded by a phone call from Tapenades to say dinner was en route.The food was packed in thermal packaging, all recyclable, so was piping hot as we placed it on the plates. A delicious meal. Great vegetarian choice - the risotto and pancake are highly recommended.Highly recommended, with thanks to everyone at Tapenades.

Dinner for four was delicious. Presentation is excellent, food is amazing - risotto, beef wellington, Salmon, moules, cheesecake, bread and butter pudding .. all fabulous! So lovely to have a three course dinner delivered to the door at the time booked.Homemade breads are so good and flavoured butters great too.We’ll see you again, it is almost as good as going to the restaurant!We even dressed for dinner!

Our wedding anniversary meal, was delivered by Mike piping hot and ready to eat. As we can't visit the Restaurant because of COVID, it was the next best thing. The presented meal was garnished and finished to perfection, We thoroughly enjoyed out 'take away meal' courtesy of Mike & the very talented Sue.

My wife and I had been booked in here by our B&B hosts at Nebula, and this was last July before the Covid situation. It was our first meal out in Cornwall and we did not know quite what to expect, in a somewhat small town. As soon as we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. We've eaten in some very fine restaurants all over the world, but this place certainly ticked a lot of boxes. My first impression was that there were no customers in scruffy clothes, caps or being noisy. This gave the indication that people came here out of respect for a refined establishment and for an exquisite dining experience. We weren't wrong. Everything about Tapanades was top quality, the staff, the food and drinks and the ambience. Something we were to think back on during the rest of our trip, when we found British food to be basically unimaginative and with repeatative menus.Thanks Tapanade for a delightful experience.

Mike, Sue and their team have always rated customer service and satisfaction above all else. With covid-19 restricting their business to delivery only, they still have managed to provide a top quality meal at a competitive price with all requests always being answered with a "yes, of course". We had an excellent meal here. The food is imaginative and high quality and the wine was very reasonably priced. It’s a small place so there is a cosy, intimate feel and the owners are very welcoming. Parking was easy in the evening and in the daytime there’s a big car park a few yards away.

As Tina Turner said - Simply the Best! I cannot fault Sue's cooking or Mike's hospitality. We always have an excellent evening, unhurried, lovely food and a lovely welcome.

A couple of friends, my wife and I attended last evening. Coats taken. Drinks served. Relaxed in the settees over a drink and a chat whilst perusing the menu. Well laid table. Relaxed, friendly Mike and later on his lovely wife Sue. Attentive waitress. Excellent food. I had super soup and rack of lamb; my wife had beef fillet steak stroganoff. Lovely breads and butters. Lovely olives. Lovely amuse bouche. Excellent service. Highly recommended little gem here.

Tapenads recently hosted a buffet for a funeral and provided an excellent service. The staff were friendly but professional and the whole event ran very smoothly. Food quality was excellent and there was a great selection to choose from.

We have been to Tapenades several times over the years and it never disappoints. Excellent food, very friendly staff and plenty of parking in the old cattle market nearby. A little gem in the heart of Liskeard.

Tapenades had very good reviews from locals so we tried it on our first time staying in the town to visit family. On a windy, wet evening we were welcomed cheerfully and all enjoyed an outstanding meal, with wine for one, mocktail and sparkling water for the others, all very good value.

We have wanted to visit tapenades for ages so our friends arranged it for my birthday.

We visited Tapenade three years ago and had a very good meal. This visit was even better with a very comfortable dining room, very good menu and wine list and the food was excellent and very good value. The chef proprietor and her front of house husband must be congratulated on providing a very good dining experience.

After being away for a few years and recently returning we decided to revisit one of our favourite restaurants from the past. We weren't disappointed because the food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the ambience was perfect. So pleased to see Tapenades so successful because it's truly well deserved.

The food is absolutely fantastic. We ate every morsel and washed it down with some delicious wines. If you drive here you really should get a taxi home :)

I absolutely love coming hee and cannot recommend it enough.

I ate at Tapenades 15 years ago when it first opened and thought it was great then, Fifteen years later the only thing that has changed is that it has gotten better. I had the best rack of lamb I have ever had. It was locally sourced, fresh and done to perfection. My wife had the fresh Dover sole and our guests had gnocchi and roasted veg respectively. This is a must visit if you are anywhere near Plymouth or north Cornwall. The food is just too good to pass up.

We were celebrating the final evening of our honeymoon with dinner at tampenades and we were blown away! We were so impressed from start to finish! The service was second to none and the food was delicious and very local produce! We were glad we chose to come here! Will defiantly be back!

We have eaten at Tapenades on 3 different occasions, each time was a real treat. This evening, we took my mother and her sister(auntie Jean) along with us, they absolutely loved their evening and so did we.

An enjoyable evening out with friends. There were 6 of us so we had a table at the back in basically our own room. The food was absolutely superb, there were no complaints. A varied menu with a couple of specials offered. I had one of the specials ... Halibut with white wine, salmon and cream sauce ... absolutely delicious. Can honestly say, this is the best Halibut I’ve ever had. The service was brilliant and attentive, Mike and Sue are wonderful hosts. Looking forward to our next visit!

Found this lovely restaurant after asking a local "where can we get good food" This was such a delight as Liskeard was looking very tired and empty of nice places to eat. Myself and two friends were made to feel very welcome and there was a great deal of attention to detail throughout the evening from all the staff.We would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly repeat our visit when travelling in Cornwall again
