Tapas Brindisa South Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

We arrived at lunch time and found a table. Later we had to go to the entrance and wait. We were with 5years old granddoughter. After another 5 minutes they told us that no table available. Sorry but I recommend you not to visit this restaurant.

Innovative tapas with several interesting combination of tastes. Excellent quality and good value. Great location too amongst the museums of South Kensington. Tania was attentive and knowledgeable. She recommended an excellent white dry wine which we will definitely order again. She also recommended the churros which were freshly made and just the right consistency. Definitely worth another visit!

I came here because I like Spanish food. We had ajillo, Spanish omelette, pan con tomate, and croquettes. The variety of dishes was appealing and the presentation appetizing. However, I was disappointed that all the dishes seemed to have a very strong salty taste. I think if you could reduce the salt a little more, the flavor of the ingredients would stand out even more. Overall, the atmosphere was good, and I would like to visit again if the balance of taste improves as much as I expected.

We were a party of five dining at Casa Brindisa on the evening of 20th April, and I must say, it was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we stepped through the door, the experience was seamless – and much of that is thanks to Cintia, whose service was absolutely spotless from start to finish.Cintia was attentive without being intrusive, effortlessly friendly, and clearly took genuine pride in ensuring we had a brilliant evening. Her timing was impeccable, recommendations spot-on, and she handled our table with both charm and utmost professionalism. It’s rare to come across service this consistently polished – she made us feel truly welcomed and looked after, which elevated the whole experience.The food, too, was superb – a special mention must go to the squid ink black rice, which was rich, flavourful, and beautifully balanced. Easily one of the highlights of the evening, and not to be missed.We all left in high spirits, already chatting about our next visit. And while the food and ambience were top-notch, it’s Cintia who’s the real reason we’ll be back. Staff like her are absolute gems – Casa Brindisa is lucky to have her.Highly recommended.

I'm traveling with my family in London and yesterday we were lucky enough to find this restaurant. We had a great time and all the food was amazing. But what really made our visit special was the human team behind it. We met wonderful people, and we especially want to highlight Cintia, a charming woman from Malaga who treated us with a closeness and joy that made us feel at home from the first moment. Thank you for such a nice experience. Without a doubt, we will see each other again. 🩵

The food was okay, but the service could have been much better. The girl who brought the food didn’t seem to know what we ordered and gave us the wrong dish. Two dishes I initially wanted to order were sold out. I ended up choosing the rump steak with a side of potatoes, but they brought the potatoes first and the steak about half an hour later, by which time the potatoes were cold. By the time I got my food, my friends had already finished theirs. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

The food wasn't bad, but the tapas were excessively small and the price excessively high. 25 pounds per person to leave there looking for somewhere else to really eat because we were hungry.

For all you Spaniards who are traveling through London, you have to go to the tapas restaurant. The careros are Spanish and so is the restaurant.

What a great experience! All the team was very attentive from the minute I came from the door. We received great recommendations about the menu. I loved Padronita cocktail! Octopus and Solomillo was very tasty! We finished the meal with a sweet sherry recommend by our waitress. Great food and service!

Although it has a casual atmosphere, the seafood is rich in flavor and the quality of the food was very satisfactory.

Went in to this restaurant after some local entertainment and was really impressed. We didn’t have a booking but they quickly seated us. Service was quick and efficient, the waitress very helpful. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable and the food was delicious. So nice to go out in central London and find somewhere that has high standards without any pretentiousness.

Food was delicious as always, we loved the mushroom croquettas which were on the specials. Everything was delicious but the wine service really let it down. They have great wines on the list but the staff couldn’t describe them at all, the descriptions the staff offered were nonsense “I don’t like that wine it is fruity and dry”… We ordered a Cava and they didn’t have the one we ordered off the list so just brought out a different one by the same producer and we had to explain, and convince the staff, that it wasn’t the wine we ordered. Some wine training wouldn’t go amiss, some great wines available but not with the service currently.

The service was friendly and the interior room is large and comfortable (there are also tables outside the restaurant). However, the food was disappointing and rather expensive: the Pan Con Tomate had no garlic taste and was soaked in oil (which took away the crispiness of the bread...).

I recently had the displeasure to visit this ‘bank heist’ of a restaurant. While the food was above average, I found the portions absolutely shocking, and the prices would give an old man a heart attack. The service was underwhelming and the restaurant was near empty. I would honestly not come back if these problems aren’t fixed, and don’t recommend you come unless you want a very very light lunch for the price of your mortgage, then this place is ok at best.

Terrible management. I was sat at a table for two by the staff there. Placed my order for food and later some lady manager with an American accent arrived asking me to sit at the bar because this table was reserved. I told her I cannot sit at the bar with so much food on a stool but she wouldn't budge. I ended up leaving the place altogether. Real shame. This happened at 5:50 pm on 29th of March Saturday. I have no idea whether this is some kind of prejudice or racial profiling or simply because I was 1 person but I will definitely not return to this establishment.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant last night. Everything about the experience was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious and the service second to none. I send a special thanks to the young lady who served me. Her name is Saakshi. Polite, friendly and hugely attentive, she adeptly took care of all of my needs thus making the whole experience a very positive one. Go and check out this restaurant and its brilliant team, you won't regret it!

I recently visited a charming Spanish restaurant and had an incredible dining experience, largely thanks to the excellent service provided by our waitress, Sakshi. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Sakshi's warm and welcoming demeanor truly made our visit memorable. The food was fantastic, and the service, particularly from her, elevated the experience even further. Highly recommend this place, especially if you're lucky enough to have Sakshi as your server!

We had a lovely lunch! Though the price was a little steep! Our friends who have been before commented that the menu is alot smaller than previously, too!

Even tho I booked we were sat down in the kitchen area which had no atmosphere and was really hard to get service. The food was greasy. I really didn't enjoy it. Wont be coming back here again sadly. Always used to love brindisia too....

Food is excellent, I ordered 3 dishes: croquette truffle, King Prawns and Spanish Omellette. All are best. Service is great especially Saakshi recomended good choices of the house. Bravo!

Food's nice, service is ok. As being someone who doesn’t live in London, it amazes me the amount of tip that is “discretionary” added (here 13%). It's obviously not fault of this restaurant, but price in ticket should NOT be globalised with the tip.

I went there after visiting the museum with my two daughters, they did not inform us that there was a children's menu and the girls left with almost nothing to eat. Super small portions. £14 for a 1/8 of an omelette and it's still salty on top. The lentils were hard and spicy, the eggs were not broken nor could you dip them, and I don't know why they add parsley to all the dishes... In short, it is not a tapas place.

Popped in for a quick drink and bite to eat, completely unexpectedly, service and food was both superb. Beatriz was friendly and helpful and gave exceptional service! Absolute treat of a find and we will definitely be back when we’re next in that area of London!

Be careful with this site when paying. Apart from docking you with the usual 13.50% Service Charge, as you may not realize, they charge you 25% Gratuity on the dataphone before proceeding with the payment. You have to check before passing the card.

The food and service at Brindisa in South Kensington are of top quality. During our visit, my sister became unwell. The service from our waitress, Saakshi, was incredible. She took water to my sister whilst she was outside, she ensured our food was served quickly and even brought over some ice cream for my sister, which really helped. Saakshi’s kindness and empathy were beyond anything we could have hoped for. Thank you

Bit sad as have been coming here for 10 years - last 3 times have been really below par. Just churning out food for the crowd now. Ordered food half of it arrived looking like a toddler had plated it, then the rest of the courses just did not show up. Waited… politely asked twice and ignored, only to find out it had not been placed…. Decided it best to cancel the rest of our order, get the bill and leave. Waitress was a bit out of her depth. I asked for the service to be taken off which completely puzzled her.

I was having lunch with my Parents who are visiting London and not speaking English. They are not used to Spanish food either. But they loved it and Saakshi service helped make the lunch perfect. Thank you

Buzzy atmosphere , service started off great and then just dissapeared. Food was super slow and poorly executed , abit hit and miss with flavours and quality. Forgot one of our dishes unfortunately

Honestly very mediocre. Confused by the 4 star rating - but I guess because of the kind of guests that it caters to. If you actually know anything about tapas / quality food this place will disappoint you. Can’t even get padron peppers or Patatas bravas right I mean 😭

Delicious tapas. Enjoyed patatas bravas, pollo el limon, and mushroom croquettes. Friendly service for saashki and the food was ready quickly.

I went to dinner at this restaurant looking for something easy and close to our hotel on New Year's Eve and it was a disappointment. I found the portions very small for what is charged for them and the quality of the food, quite questionable. £86 for an egg with potatoes called "huevos rotos", homemade bread, a leg of octopus (I excuse this due to the normal price of the octopus and because it was correct in flavour, but not the potatoes that accompanied it, harder than a stone) and some cannelloni (3) of mushrooms with a very thick and greasy kind of béchamel. A shame... I don't recommend it at all.

Really good place to eat some spanish food. We had the patatas bravas, the octopus and croquetes. Everything was really good and tasty.

My wife and I are Spanish food lovers and every time we travel to a different city we look for a good Spanish restaurant. Tapas Brindisa had good reviews and it didn't disappoint. Their tapas are pretty eclectic and very delicious! Saakshi was our waitress and she took care of us. Since my wife and were celebrating our anniversary, she was kind enough to take our picture and treat us to dessert. Next time we are in town, we will be sure to stop by to enjoy more of their tapas. We highly recommend Tapas Brindisa in South Kensington.

Great and well served authentic Spanish food (said by Spaniard), intense and delicious flavours. Fast service and a good choice for a Sunday night when there are few places to dine in around.

For Spaniards, a discovery…it is right outside the Natural History Museum and they are super friendly and the food is very good.

South Kensington must ! I went by myself for a quiet meal and I must say that my lovely hostess Saakshi made it so relaxing and comfortable. She is an asset to your restaurant. Very pleasant well informed young lady with amazing recommendations. She basically recommended my entire meal rioja red gorgeous gambas and yummy patatas bravas. I will definitely return. What a great place to come by yourself or with friends. Would highly recommend exceptional service and great good at a good value. Thank you to saakshi and her team ❤️

I'm not a fan of very tight spaced seating in restaurants or open kitchens unfortunately (some people don't mind). Service was very slow, difficult to get waiter/waitress attention. We had a bottle of wine and the glasses smelt awful, we had to ask for them to be changed.. that's never happened to us before. Food was nice. But I personally wouldn't return. It's a shame.

some food was okay, but it was very expensive for what it was , a bowl of beans £20 with no taste of truffle !! 150ml of sangria at £7.5 and the fruit tasted off !! no taste in some of the food, bland! ridiculous

It never disappoints! Good choice for tapas! Especially the prawns aioli are insane!! We also tried patatas bravas, pork cheeks, tortilla, that were well prepared and tasty. Good selection of wines! Staff is friendly. There was very intense fish smell in the restaurant, maybe something to work on.

I sometimes find this Brindisa a bit too noisy as it’s usually very full and everyone is having such a good time. This week we came on a Monday night so things were a bit calmer and we also had a quieter table in the window so it was more relaxing. Our server Saakshi was great - attentive but not too intrusive and did everything perfectly. The food is good but the potatoes bravas weren’t very « brave ». But I am a repeat customer so that must say something. I think this is a great place for a drink with quality tapas. If you want a big dinner, be prepared to spend.

Highly recommended the Gambas al ajillo! We loved our prawn, it was perfectly cooked. We enjoy the hot chile oil with bread until the last bit. The smell was nice and tastes great. Everybody who comes here always order the prawn, some table order it over and over again😋 Yum!

The food was very good and the service was great, Tania gave it all. Unfortunately our next door table had their ipad pumping at max a kids movie and it was a big turn off. And the restaurant staff did nothing about it.

"Typical" Spanish food. It's not bad, but in Spain it doesn't work like that, that is, I would give it 5 stars if it were real, with Real I mean that a tapa in Spain is very cheap. 9 Pounds 3 croquettes seems exaggerated to me, It is very expensive, and it is a shame, 80 pounds between two people, they charge you for the service, the bread and the very expensive drink. I wouldn't recommend it for that reason. With €90 in Spain you can eat in a tapas place, and try every last tapa until you are full. Very expensive, I insist, not worth what they ask for.

We visited with 6 adults & a toddler. The staff were extremely caring and attentive to our toddler, bringing her food first & bringing crayons and interacting with her. The food and drinks were fantastic & it was enjoyed by adults and toddler alike. Thank you!

A Spanish restaurant with many branches, today we're looking at four dishes. Starting with grilled chili peppers sprinkled with salt. It's a simple dish but has a good starting flavor. The grilled peppers are soft like eating young chilies, the baked mussels are fragrant with the heavy and salty venega, but the mussels are very fresh. It was considered well done, the squid noodles with sweet sauce were grilled just right and not too tough. Crunchy tentacles mixed with a sauce similar to pork satay combined with the oiliness of beef tallow. This dish of Spanish fried rice and squid was a bit disappointing. The squid was overcooked and hard, but the fried rice was soft and kneaded, very rich. There is service 13.5%

I visited this restaurant for dinner and saw a rat, so I left immediately. I have reported the incident to the council and hope they will investigate the matter.
