Tapas Brindisa South Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

I went to dinner at this restaurant looking for something easy and close to our hotel on New Year's Eve and it was a disappointment. I found the portions very small for what is charged for them and the quality of the food, quite questionable. £86 for an egg with potatoes called "huevos rotos", homemade bread, a leg of octopus (I excuse this due to the normal price of the octopus and because it was correct in flavour, but not the potatoes that accompanied it, harder than a stone) and some cannelloni (3) of mushrooms with a very thick and greasy kind of béchamel. A shame... I don't recommend it at all.

Delicious tapas. Enjoyed patatas bravas, pollo el limon, and mushroom croquettes. Friendly service for saashki and the food was ready quickly.

My wife and I are Spanish food lovers and every time we travel to a different city we look for a good Spanish restaurant. Tapas Brindisa had good reviews and it didn't disappoint. Their tapas are pretty eclectic and very delicious! Saakshi was our waitress and she took care of us. Since my wife and were celebrating our anniversary, she was kind enough to take our picture and treat us to dessert. Next time we are in town, we will be sure to stop by to enjoy more of their tapas. We highly recommend Tapas Brindisa in South Kensington.

Great and well served authentic Spanish food (said by Spaniard), intense and delicious flavours. Fast service and a good choice for a Sunday night when there are few places to dine in around.

Really good place to eat some spanish food. We had the patatas bravas, the octopus and croquetes. Everything was really good and tasty.

For Spaniards, a discovery…it is right outside the Natural History Museum and they are super friendly and the food is very good.

South Kensington must ! I went by myself for a quiet meal and I must say that my lovely hostess Saakshi made it so relaxing and comfortable. She is an asset to your restaurant. Very pleasant well informed young lady with amazing recommendations. She basically recommended my entire meal rioja red gorgeous gambas and yummy patatas bravas. I will definitely return. What a great place to come by yourself or with friends. Would highly recommend exceptional service and great good at a good value. Thank you to saakshi and her team ❤️

I'm not a fan of very tight spaced seating in restaurants or open kitchens unfortunately (some people don't mind). Service was very slow, difficult to get waiter/waitress attention. We had a bottle of wine and the glasses smelt awful, we had to ask for them to be changed.. that's never happened to us before. Food was nice. But I personally wouldn't return. It's a shame.

some food was okay, but it was very expensive for what it was , a bowl of beans £20 with no taste of truffle !! 150ml of sangria at £7.5 and the fruit tasted off !! no taste in some of the food, bland! ridiculous

It never disappoints! Good choice for tapas! Especially the prawns aioli are insane!! We also tried patatas bravas, pork cheeks, tortilla, that were well prepared and tasty. Good selection of wines! Staff is friendly. There was very intense fish smell in the restaurant, maybe something to work on.

I sometimes find this Brindisa a bit too noisy as it’s usually very full and everyone is having such a good time. This week we came on a Monday night so things were a bit calmer and we also had a quieter table in the window so it was more relaxing. Our server Saakshi was great - attentive but not too intrusive and did everything perfectly. The food is good but the potatoes bravas weren’t very « brave ». But I am a repeat customer so that must say something. I think this is a great place for a drink with quality tapas. If you want a big dinner, be prepared to spend.

Highly recommended the Gambas al ajillo! We loved our prawn, it was perfectly cooked. We enjoy the hot chile oil with bread until the last bit. The smell was nice and tastes great. Everybody who comes here always order the prawn, some table order it over and over again😋 Yum!

The food was very good and the service was great, Tania gave it all. Unfortunately our next door table had their ipad pumping at max a kids movie and it was a big turn off. And the restaurant staff did nothing about it.

"Typical" Spanish food. It's not bad, but in Spain it doesn't work like that, that is, I would give it 5 stars if it were real, with Real I mean that a tapa in Spain is very cheap. 9 Pounds 3 croquettes seems exaggerated to me, It is very expensive, and it is a shame, 80 pounds between two people, they charge you for the service, the bread and the very expensive drink. I wouldn't recommend it for that reason. With €90 in Spain you can eat in a tapas place, and try every last tapa until you are full. Very expensive, I insist, not worth what they ask for.

We visited with 6 adults & a toddler. The staff were extremely caring and attentive to our toddler, bringing her food first & bringing crayons and interacting with her. The food and drinks were fantastic & it was enjoyed by adults and toddler alike. Thank you!

A Spanish restaurant with many branches, today we're looking at four dishes. Starting with grilled chili peppers sprinkled with salt. It's a simple dish but has a good starting flavor. The grilled peppers are soft like eating young chilies, the baked mussels are fragrant with the heavy and salty venega, but the mussels are very fresh. It was considered well done, the squid noodles with sweet sauce were grilled just right and not too tough. Crunchy tentacles mixed with a sauce similar to pork satay combined with the oiliness of beef tallow. This dish of Spanish fried rice and squid was a bit disappointing. The squid was overcooked and hard, but the fried rice was soft and kneaded, very rich. There is service 13.5%

There was no acknowledgment, no smile, and no thanks when handing over the bill or the change. This left a negative impression on our overall dining experience. 2. Food Quality: • The food itself was underwhelming. Many of the dishes were lukewarm, and overly oily with an excessive amount of olive oil. There was nothing particularly special or memorable about the dishes, considering the price. 3. Value for Money: • The prices of the dishes were much too high for the portion sizes and the quality. Paying £18-£24 per dish felt unreasonable. Adding a 13.5% service charge on top of that, despite the poor service, made the overall experience feel overpriced and not worth the visit. Overall, this experience has left a very negative impression, and I would not recommend this restaurant to others. I hope you can address these issues to improve both your service and food quality for future customers.

Came here as a walk in with my partner, and we didn't reserve a table. The maitre d' took a long time to invite us in, leaving us hanging out in the doorway for what seemed like an incredibly long time, and ignored us. We were about to call it a day and leave, when she finally gave us some of her time. She wasn't friendly, and she said they were full, but after a bit of persuasion sat us at the bar. I was pretty close to leaving, and then the waitress at the bar was a bit more hospitable so we decided to stay. I'm glad we did as the food was fantastic, we had the roasted cauliflower, ink squid risotto and gambas. It was a real feast, just a shame that the front of house service was pretty shoddy. I'm sure the kitchen staff wouldn't be that impressed.

Don’t bother eating here if you’re vegetarian/vegan - poor options, and ridiculously overpriced. Only redeeming feature was the lovely staff.

Small chain tapas restaurant that punches above its weight. We ate a wide range of tapas and the quality was consistently good across the board. Good service, the atmosphere was a bit more busy than buzzy but no complaints given the location and we were there before heading to a concert. Thoughtful wine list, I ordered one of the more pricey bottles, they offered me a different vintage but older and better than the one on the menu so happy days.

This lovely spot, a block off of the Natural History Museum, was just wonderful. Tapa and Iberico ham were high quality and delicious. The hidden gems here: croquetas and gazpacho.

Very nice place to eat delicious tapas, fast service which makes you understand most of it is microwaved but I believe that’s the only think you can do when you have a lot of potatoes in the menu (wouldn’t be possible to cook it a la minute). Fair price co suffering the portions and the location, we have paied an average of 20£per person with 8 tapas plus service charge which I consider fair

Had delicious tapas and wonderful wine. Excellent service, letting us try 2 different wines before choosing bottle! The menu and wine list are exceptional, always try the specials and go with the waitress recommendations- they know!! Ok, so it's not the cheapest meal you're going to get but it will be one of the best. Lovely atmosphere too.

You ask for tables outside and they tell you that everything is reserved, they have 12 tables, they do give you service but inside, 9 of the 12, were never used. They are very friendly and the food is good. I don't understand the practice of pretending that everything is reserved.

One of my favorite Spanish spots in London! I've been here several times, and it never disappoints. The gambas al ajillo are always a highlight – juicy, garlicky, and full of flavor. The croquetas are crispy perfection, and the Spanish tortilla hits the spot every time. Also, the chorizo is a must-try – smoky, rich, and pairs wonderfully with the rest of the dishes. Good selection of wines. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it a great place to relax and enjoy some authentic tapas. Definitely recommend for anyone craving a taste of Spain in London!

Had a lovely early light dinner with a friend on 24th August around 6pm after the V&A closed. The food was delicious as was the wine and we wanted to mention the great service we received, the waitresses name started with a G but I can't remember the rest. She was FAB. We were in the middle section near where the stairs go down. Anyway wanted to give a positive review I know I'm a bit late but it was delicious and perfect and was not the first time I have had such a positive experience here.

Some of the food was amazing (mussels and cauliflower steak) some of it was a little bit meh (cod salad particularly). the waitresses were really nice. we asked what was gluten free and they gave us the allergen menu which was pretty expansive. bit worried about the level of knowledge of the staff on allergies tho as a few things ordered we asked to be made gluten free and they said they naturally were when it didn’t say on the menu etc (so perhaps allergy menu is out of date) anyway good for sharing and enjoyable vibe inside

The menu showcases the best of Spain and the cuisson of the dishes is ultra authentic. The experience is that of Madrid coming to South Kensington, in that they offer dishes from across the whole of Spain. Also, there are several sparkling wines to try by the glass.

I was impressed by the food when I first went there, so I took my friend for the second visit. But I was shocked when the waitress told us to leave when we just finished the food! She said she needed the table back in 10 minutes! The worst experience in London!

After spending 5 days eating in and with English, a Mediterranean touch with Catalan flavors is appreciated. Highly recommended bread with tomato, broccoli and cauliflower. You can save the dessert to finish with the spectacular coffee.

We visited this Tuesday with friends for some drinks before our dinner plans and the hostess with the curly black hair was extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful from the very beginning. The vibe and sangria was great, so this was an extreme let down. We wanted to stay for more drinks but we felt so harassed that we had to leave.

We had a great tapas meal at Brindisa before our next destination. Service was super friendly and cheery with only a short wait for food delivery. A great variety of authentic tapas dishes that were very tasty - potato and egg, chorizo, cauliflower, pollo, muscles and cheese on toast. The cod dish was a bit light on actual fish though. The atmosphere was lively with good music. Yes there was a 13.5% tip but I’m ok to help out the minimum wage for these folks living in expensive London. Hope to come back.

Had been craving tapas for a while and always had a good experience with them so I thought this would be good too.... not really! The food was so so so bland and so so so dry.... the waitress serving us was very rude too! Gave my friend the biggest side eye before she ordered and then the service charge was so expensive! Ridiculous! The lady at the front showing us to our table was lovely though.

I have been dining here for 2 years. The food is amazing (never had a bad meal), the staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is great. This is in the perfect location and I would highly recommend to anyone without hesitation. Well done guys, I look forward to more amazing meals with you :)

The food and the atmosphere are absolutely amazing. The only issue is that two of your staff members have gone out several times to smoke near the tables of the diners. I understand it's a terrace and we're outside, but it's very annoying.

Warm, friendly and efficient service; great table outside; just a lovely experience.A great choice of food - we had 6 between 2 of us, but two were very light (salads: the beetroot is great); and the prawns were especially delicious. Also a really good wine list of Spanish wines, many in 500 ml carafes which is great for lunchtime. Excellent!
