Star Kebab in Kensington and Chelsea

I have visited at star kebab last night with my family & friends i traveled from Milton Keynes to london for hangout & my self i am chef since 12 years & i found a best food place over there & i recommend to everyone must visit & try them food.

The go to place for biryani, home made, fresh and warm. Next time I’ll take a photo. Thank you for your hospitality and kind service.

Nice place as always and very good spicy curry.

They really need to work on quality of the food nothing was freshly made the guy behind the counter looked like he didn't want to be there whatever happened to service with a smile..wouldn't go back

I have been coming over 15 years taste never change one of the best curries and kebab in London

I will give 5 stars and explain why. There was a senior gentleman and a junior. The junior got my order wrong and the senior scolded him and corrected the order. They are small details maybe, but I take them into account a lot. I was asked if I had decided what to order, then if I wanted salad and dressing. I recommend! The food was fresh and tasty. Phenomenal food - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options Very difficult to find a place on Earls Court with good taste, quality and service at this price range. This restaurant goes above and beyond! Definitely recommend 😊

First and last time reheating food in the microwave does not work at all! This is unacceptable, it’s expensive for small quantities and more. Going your own way and cooking at home is much better. I put 1 but it's worth 0

I stayed in London for 10 days and ate dinner at Star Kabab Curry House 9 times. The food is excellent and comes at a very reasonable price. There are many varieties of curry, as well as breads and appetizers. The service is friendly and I looked forward to coming to the restaurant each night. I hope to come again next time I’m in London.

Went in earlier on and the service was amazing the food portion was very big and the food was delicious, work away for work and it’s rare to find a nice kebab house I enjoy. Would recommend, thanks guys (Make sure you try the mango lassi, best I’ve had)

I have been here on many occasions and that should be my feedback. It exceeded my expectations, on every occasion, as I myself being a vegetarian, enjoys the culinary experience, even though they are renowned for their non vegetarian options. Best part is that the Lamb and chicken dishes that I have bought from here for my friends and colleagues are appreciated immensely for the delightful taste. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed.

The chicken in the chicken shawarma was incredibly well-cooked and flavorful, very juicy and delicious. The chili oil and garlic sauces are also great and added a lot of extra flavor as well. To top it off, the guy who prepped our order was super friendly and helpful. We're only in town a few more days but I suspect we'll be back during that time! I'd happily recommend this place to anyone.

Wasn't expecting our food to just be microwaved. Didn't taste the best and got concerned about the hygiene of it, so we stopped eating after a few bites.

Oh my, HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN. I remember the good old days when I used to look forward to these star kebab trips, well now.. it’s a pit stop after getting pissed off and downing me self in 4-5 pints right after a Chelsea game. it’s a real shame they’ve gotten nothing but down hill after their alleged £34,000 fine for their poor hygiene standards. And all these recent five star reviews, oh yeah these are all bogus. Look I’ve lived around this area for 32 years and I can’t even name a single one of ‘em. That’s ironic eh? Apart from gut health issues and rampant diarrhoea after having your chicken gyro, the bloke was pretty nice and we did have much of a laugh. Kinda reminded me of Bruce Wayne, the way he slept in the day and worked all night jaja.

Average food. Very overpriced. Terrible service. Went for the first time today 16/03/24 and the man serving was very rude. He forgot part of my order so I had to go all the way back again. He didn’t even apologise or seem to care at all. I asked if I could have more salad as there was barely any inside the kebab and he said he would need to charge me an extra £4.50 for a salad portion. The meat was old and was not freshly sliced from the doner kebab. First and last time for me!

Disappointing service and microwaved chicken and stale pita.

Not same as it used to be when the legendary brothers zahoor and salim were in charge. Plus, it's expensive, but the portion remains the same as before.

المطعم عرفته من اول سنه رحت فيها لندن تقريبا سنة ١٩٩٥ ولحد ٢٠٢٣ الطعم ماتغير نفس اللذاذه جربت اكثر من صنف عندهم اكل لايعلا عليه المكان كان وقافي اكل عالماشي حاليا مرتب طاولات وقعدات الي يروح لندن لازم يروح هالمطعم ومجابله محل مساج حلو ونظيف .. سناف الطعم يتكلمون عربي واسلوبهم لطيف ومرحبين.

Der Döner viel zu teuer. Schmeckt überhaupt nicht. Die Soßen kommen alle aus der Tube. Kaum frisches Gemüse. Nie wieder

The perfect place for a late night snack. And when coming back from a football game.

Unfortunately my kebab was smothered in a chilli sauce not fit for human consumption. I can appreciate this particular chilli sauce in small amounts, but in large quantities it will definitely mess up your stomach due to its acidity. @StarKebab please change your chilli sauce - I've never seen it used for donner kebab dressing elsewhere. Otherwise I'm sure the food is actually quite decent.

I used to go here religiously 10 years ago. I have returned after a long absence, and what a terrible deterioration. The new owners need to be ashamed of themselves! Lamb = lumps of fat. No rotis, and the naan is a commercial soft flat bread heated in the microwave. What a shame...This place used to be fantastic. Lots of options nearby - please choose an alternate Indian restaurant. I am sure all the positive reviews are fraudulent, considering the great selection of Indian restaurants in London, why would anybody give this joint an honest 5 stars?? So disappointing, you used to be amazing..

I don’t know if my opinion is influenced by the fact that I’m Italian and also I used to work for more than 13 as pasta/pizza chef in Italian restaurants. For me, the friend that was with me (and our stomachs ) the food in this place is not edible. It tasted acidic and rancid. Especially the sauces. It was the second time in 1 year. I went last night with the same friend (another Italian food lover) as we wanted to give to the kebab another opportunity after the first disappointing one (We both love kebab) It was even a worse experience! Ten minutes after we left the place, we started to have belly cramps and we had to rush home. I woke up this morning with the same pain and I’ll probably have to visit my pharmacist to get some tablets. I messaged him and he is in the same situation. Again, maybe because I’m an Italian foodie and I’m used to different flavour. Still I love kebab. I often eat it. I’ll eat again. Not in this place for sure. Zero star to me.

I enjoyed this place, kebab was made with good quality tortilla(or some kind of bread idk), meat was good, maybe sauces might be better mixed for more taste fulfilment and I think they should pour it out little bit more. The kebab man was very helpful and kind. When you sit inside the interior seems cozy and well arranged. The prices are also very good. And the chips, aa these were one of the best fast food chips i have ever eaten

I finished the gym really late, like 3am. I was wandering the street looking for a meal and tried to open the door. Star Kebab was already closed and locked up, but the employee kindly opened the food and asked if I needed food. I said yes and he took my order and made sure I didn’t starve before he went home. Not on his watch. Thank you so much, you made sure I didn’t sleep hungry last night. Amazing food, amazing human being

A small cosy restaurant with a good selection . Meals were flavourful and portions were sufficient. Very well priced and value for money. Well worth a visit. Will be back soon.

20230727thu Pls come support our local for its not just a shop but a treasure to enjoy. They have nice welcoming yellow comfy tables nowadays and cushioned chairs instead of the barstools I remember. The Kerahi Chicken (mild, medium & hot: I chose mild) is very nice. Tastes the same as I remember trying it back in the 1990s. Am missing the okra dish, which is not available anymore. I usually get the chickpea & potato curry (prefer the meat dishes), minced beef & potato curry (tried again and is very nice indeed). Not too over-chillied-machoed.

All time favourite Indian take away. They now accept card payments. I've been having star kebabs for almost 20 years. They never fail to disappoint. Food is on point. The spice level is fantastic. They are open till very late 7 days a week.

Instead of using the skewer, they heated up some old meat in the microwave. I also paid £9 for a wrap which is ridiculous.

Popped in from a night out at football and a few beers, was staying down the road and needed some food so tried this spot. Lovely smell hits you as the door opens. Great selection of food and all cooked in front of you. Had a donner wrap and it was spot on! Reasonable prices also!

I ordered quite a bit of food, take away. It's kept in pans and thrown in the microwave instead of being prepared freshly. The meat on the spits just rotates while shaved bits are kept in a steam table and they're not fresh either. Chicken Tikka Masala was very sweet and tomatoey, underspiced and not good at all. The chicken Tikka itself was tender and acceptable, but the gravy was mediocre. The shawarma was not good. They were out of two of their three desserts so we weren't able to try any of those.

Totally disappointed with the quality of lamb curry. Covered in thick fat- not even 20% of it was meat. Definitely not lamb. We had two dishes(take away) - both utterly disgusting. Not the same Star Kebab used to be. Not to mention that the young- ish chap serving us was rude as hell. Used to go there for 20 years- since the makeover, things have gone down the hill. Will not go there ever again.

Basically another late night order via UberEats. They completely ignored my requests for sauce and sent me out a mediocre portion covered in chilli's and chilli sauce. They can't even do the simplest of customer requests. Maybe I am wrong and the persons can't read plain simple English but it you ask for NO CHILLIES then you should get NO CHILLIES. It isn't rocket science hence why this place is open at 1am in the morning on a Sunday night.

Have to say, love the new refurbishment, been living around here for many years and never really thought much of the doner kebab previously. However,I decided to try it since their re-opening and wow. It was honestly one of the best doner kebabs I've had. Went on a Wednesday night and the place was busy. Service was great. Cant wait to be back 👍

£11.50 for a lamb doner wrap and chips is just too much. Apart from that, the food was really good, wrap was big and tasty.

Wrong order delivered rang star kebab they are a bunch of crooks . Overpriced... they didn't even apologise. . Lesson learned 40 quid for kebab chips and chicken curry and rice.. AVOID
