As someone who lived in Spain, this place makes me sad. Ceviche was one of the worst i have ever tried in my life. Croquetas pass by texture, taste is very mild and generic. Gambas are fishy. Bravas are ok, pretty good bravas sauce. Sangria Blanca meh. Pretty expensive if you ask me, portions super small.

Do not think I will go again , cannot order at the bar only table service , without even asking they add service charge to your bill and it's not optional , very expensive

What a wonderful restaurant! The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. You were made to feel like part of a family. The service was quick snd the food was amazing. It is definitely worth but you need to book as this is a very popular restaurant. We will most certainly be back when we are next visiting the Excel.

What a great find. Attended F1 exhibition late in the evening and fancied a ‘bite to eat’ after. Stumbled upon Tapa Tapa as looked like a nice building with plenty of people inside….and partial to a portion or two of tapas. Atmosphere buzzy, Food very good (comparable to tapas served in Spain), service very friendly and informative, good choice of beers (would be good to have more than one Spanish beer on tap…or even just an alternative to cruzcampo….but bottled selection good). In all a very unexpected and enjoyable bite and beer.

Don't know if it's under new management but the place was just off, went last year and it was wow . This time the menu had been changed and felt like an estate pub instead of a goto place .

We were staying locally and fancied a pick and mix meal that a tapas can give you. Very impressed with the quality of the food, the service which was friendly and timely as was the delivery. Special mention to Ashik who is a absolute gem and should be recognised by the company as such. All in all if you have a hankering for authentic Spanish tapas (as well as a few modern contemporaries) then this is your kinda place.

A wonderfully delightful lunch at this surprising fabulous venue. I visited the Excel exhibition venue and wasn’t inspired by the food or queues inside. Remembering this place from the walk from the train station, I popped back. Literally 20 meters from the Excel entrance. Super waiting, happy to work with your requested. Very filling dishes and great atmosphere inside.

The service was impeccable, and the servers were incredibly friendly and efficient. The food was delightful, all well down with a very authentic style, I enjoyed the croquettes de jamon especially.

My girlfriend and I have come here a few times; the first time she treated me to dinner here, it was an absolutely brilliant choice for a date night. The restaurant's atmosphere is cosy and conveniently located right outside custom house DRL and Elizabeth Line stations. The food is flavourful, you can tell it is homemade with proper care. The Secreto Ibérico and Pulpo en Rocas are my favourites when I am feeling fancy, but our favourite combo is Tortilla and Calamares! The typical flavours and cuisine are always spot on and absolutely delicious! They also offer daily specials, which are well worth a try. The waiters and managers are always happy to guide you through the menu and gave us friendly advice on the most popular tapas and specials of the day on our multiple visits. The venue is always clean, and the music is lively but not too loud, which definitely contributes to the whole experience. If I had to nitpick, I’d say there’s a bit of a lack of vegan options, but there are a few vegetarian tapas. Other than that, everything is always spot on and the prices are fair for London, especially given the quality and portion sizes. We definitely recommend you try it, as we are already looking forward to coming back! ✨

Been away for a few years, so great to be back at Tapa Tapa. Loved seeing the growth of the menu with new dishes. Had to try all the new dishes Vieiras Y Morcilla, Pulpo En Las Rocas, Brocheta De Secreto Iberico and Croquetas De Gambas.....all were absolutely fantastic. I think they have managed to add great taste and flavours to what was already a very tasty menu. You can never go wrong with the wines in this place. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try all the new wines - even though I wanted to! Service is laid back, friendly and on point. Ambience is definitely giving a vibe

It was close to my hotel and I fancied tapas but this was a huge disappointment. The waitress was great, v friendly but busy and you felt you always had to attract their attention to get service. The tapas itself was well below par. I'm convinced the calamari was actually made of rubber coated I'm breadcrumbs. Although It they did deduct the plate from the bill when I complained. If you like tapas avoid this place.

Very nice place, delicious food and very attentive staff. Would recommend Pan Catalan, Chorizo, Iberica and Octopus (Pulpo en las rocas) the most! 4* because portions are quite small for the price.

My husband and I were at an exhibit at the Excel and we wanted somewhere close by for some dinner. We didn't book as we weren't sure what time we would finish the exhibit, but I think we ended up being early enough that there was a walk-in table available. The food was great and came out quickly and was hot. I particularly enjoyed the Jamon Croquettes and the lemon crumble dessert. The staff were very attentive and polite. Great restaurant, would highly recommend.

A phenomenal restaurant with delectable food that’s a must-experience. The staff is warm and attentive, providing outstanding service. The music enhances the atmosphere, and the overall ambiance is simply perfect.

Nothing special about the food, but the price is very high. Maybe because of the location. Don’t take octopus, it’s 13 pounds but there is probably only 50 grams of it and it looks like the marinated one from Tesco. Also the tall seats are very uncomfortable because they have no back support.

We ate at this restaurant for the second time the other week and once again we had a lovely time, the service was good with our drinks order first being placed and then shortly after our food order which we was able to keep behind one menu in case we wanted any more food which was nice, I must say I did find the service to Drop off towards the end of our visit (a long time before our plates were cleared etc) but nothing major that getting up and asking wouldn’t have sorted. The food was good once again and all was fresh and hot, I personally didn’t think the croquettes that we had this time tasted as nice as previously remembered but they were still okay. One little bit of constructive criticism that I have to give is regarding the table water, when seated we was asked if we would like to start with some water which we agreed, we was poured some water from a refillable glass water bottle which we didn’t notice at the time but was actually quite dirty around the top (dried on water stains it looked like) which we presumed might be because it was tap water, when the bill arrived we found out we was actually charged for this water as it is bottled in house which if it’s chilled and filtered water is great although some cleaner bottles would make it more appealing and would be less disgruntled to pay for, but that’s my opinion and I hope the restaurant just take it as feedback 👍🏻. Apart from the above, we had a great meal.

We ordered ham croquettes, very correct. The Spanish tortilla is nothing like the Spanish tortilla we eat in Spain. The ones they brought are potatoes combined with egg, without onion and also not enough egg. A strange dish that looked like a mini omelette that had nothing to do with the original recipe. And look, it's difficult to do it wrong if you follow the procedure. For the rest, within what there is in the Excel area, I suppose it is the best option... Good treatment and fast service.

Ideal stop on the walkway between the Custom House station and Excel centre. Interesting (historical?) building interior. The menu includes traditional favourite tapas, plus some more modern additions, and daily specials. Extensive wine options (but pricey), and a range of bottled and draft beers. Food was all very good, service excellent.

Very reasonable pricing and high quality food.

First and last time coming for sure.The food portion is so tiny compared to the price that you’re paying for.Also taste was it’s not it! Everyone of us that came down did not enjoy the food at all we had to go back home and have McDonald 😂The only thing we really enjoyed was the 6 different types of desserts! Other than that the service was great but the food was not it.

We visited Tapa Tapa after an event at ExCel on Sunday evening. The food came out lukewarm, was very bland and the "Crispy" wings were a soggy disappointment. The waitress knocked one of our forks on the floor and forgot to bring us a replacement. Reminded me of La Tasca from back in the day... definitely not worth the £90 we spent on a the 30 minute dining experience.

A great spot for a lunch if you attend one of the events at Excel. Loved the atmosphere with plenty of natural light if you get a sit by the window. The service was great too.

Saw manager wearing a blazer shout at staff and I don’t rate any place that treats staff in that way in front of customers !!! Prob worse behind closed doors and off putting

A colleague and I spent he afternoon here and received world-class service from their server Ashik J. Super attentive with excellent menu knowledge and perfect recommendations, all provided with a calm and welcoming smile. He made our day and I will be recommending this place to all our colleagues and friends.

On a Monday in October 13 of us enjoyed a very civilised quiet lunch reuniting with friends from the 70’s and 80’s. Fixed menu for the group was very generous and good quality tapa with excellent wine list. Total cost £75 per head all in.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had a lovely meal. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and the menu, aside from wanting all of it was excellent. The portion sizes are indeed small but that’s the nature of tapas I guess - they were however of excellent quality and taste. I’d definitely come back and recommend the White Rioja!

Ordered a few tapas to share. Totally spent 40ish for 4 tapas (shared by two people). All are so freshly made and it’s not too expensive. But when there are exhibitions, it could get busy and we saw a lot of exhibitors coming here for lunch. I suggest making reservations first before coming here.

The service was amazing! We were taken take of by a couple of their employees Eyen y Brandon at the bar and their service was outstanding. We would recommend 100% coming in for some tapas and a couple of their drinks.

They need to add more dishes to cater for vegetarians. Quite disappointed with my first and last ever visit to this place. The only viable option was to order just green leave salad. To make matters worse, they charged £6 for two bottles of tap water and top it up with a 12% service charge. Only positive of this visit was the selection of their desserts. Customer services is great too but please for the love of whoever, add more options for vegetarians.

Was at a great location a bit pricey for what you get the small plates that taste good were very good and the rest were ok and a bit cold.The customer service is excellent but service could be a bit faster. It's a nice chill environment. 8 would definitely revisit.😁

Food was a big dissapointment, maybe had high expectations but the food didn’t sit well with all of us.

Giusi welcomed us very warmly at the door and the food arrived swiftly. Great quality. Shannon served us and was kind and helpful. A good experience. Only negative would be the pan catalan, which is not the right bread (I lived there for 14 years)

We order 5 tapas. Patatas bravas, chicken wings, chicken croquettes, salad and meatballs. Also two bottles of coke. The waiter is completely disinterested and cold. Confused face. No smile. Earlier we got tapas for two bottles of cola. Well, it's quite difficult to open the bottles, it takes a long time. We also got 2 x potatas bravas on the table. I said that we only order one. We never got chicken wings. The waiter is rude, pointing at customers instead of seating them. You can see the salad in the photo. Spinach, onion and some apple.

Just a drop in for a quick bite off the ExCel exibhition. Was an awful experience with the food, same sauce in almost every dish and the wings were beyond eatable . Being a restaurateur ourself I wouldn’t criticise normally but this was one beyond a level that needs a re-think. Been to many tapas places in Uk as well as in Spain .. This place definitely being the worst.

Excellent service. Some dishes are delicious, like the octopus/pulpo, but others are pretty average - Spanish toast with tomatoes/garlic topping - needs more flavour and some olive oil. Same with the mini steak, some more seasoning and a little butter more potato so you have the right balance. Ceviche was also delicious.

Tricky to actually find but absolutely worth it! Tapa Tapa is on the top floor. There is no signage outside and in the ground floor. The service from all the staff was absolutely superb. Fun, lots of banter and engagement and professional. The food was served hot and quickly, perfectly cooked and everything was very tasty. Great quality and reasonably priced. We had 8 tapas between 3 of us which was perfect. The 6 desserts for £12 to finish was amazing and again great value.

Service was attentive however the food didn’t live up to it. Main gripe was the scallops… a relatively expensive dish that basically could have been anything… prawn, chicken or even veggie. Not one to complain when asked we said it was generally ok ( tortilla was overly microwaved) but said the scallops weren’t great. Fair enough we were offered a dessert but declined as too full. Bill came and no recognition of the issue. Wine was mediocre at £36 for a bottle of Rioja. When patatas bravas was the best dish then that’s pointing towards something. Poor scallops at £13 & 12.5% tip 🙄

Very great tapas bar. There were four of us and we had different selections. Selection is good. Portions are sufficiently large. Great service. Highly recommended given the hotels and the trade fair nearby.

Large restaurant and bar with a pleasant atmosphere and polite staff. As expected in a tapas style restaurant, the plates are small to be order in volume. Although they offered a menu option, we picked the ones we found the best and accompanied them with wine. The dishes had a great presentation and were delicious. The only issue was that my glass of red wine was full at debris at the bottom, probably due to a less than ideal bottle opening that required decanting and did not undergo such a thing.

I've been ordering from Tapa Tapa for several months (I haven't yet had an opportunity to dine in) and I have to say-it is one of the best Tapas restaurants in London. The Gambas and Octopus are delicious, as are the Padron peppers, tortilla and patatas bravas. The food is really excellent, the delivery is always fast and they always show appreciation for my loyalty by sending complimentary olives:). I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough if you love Tapas.

The food is excellent. It can be a bit loud. Overall this is an excellent experience.

Food was okay, quite pricey for what it was. The deserts were the best bit! Also note there is no kids menu. Lots of seating and the staff were super helpful and friendly. All in all we had a good time here
