We are regulars in this establishment and it is generally very good although they closed early one evening recently as the place was quiet and the hints like turning off the lights were not too subtle.Seems to be back to normal now thank goodness and we enjoy the thin and crispy pizzas and red wine.Staff very pleasant normally!

Under new management and with a new name. Was quite quiet, and it would have been nice if they had opened up the doors to take advantage of the sun.The choice on the new menu was still good and the food was good bit the service was really slow, even on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The toasted sandwich was nice but it was closer to being fried bread than toasted. And pricey for a cafe with so much good competition close by.

Find the number of people using Tapa as an office and occupying the best seats and tables pouring over their laptops really annoying, Comfortable tatty furnishings, Great healthy smoothie

My friend and I walk a cycle track weekly and stop of in Kilmalcolm for a coffee. We have been in Tapa previously and enjoyed our drinks.Today was my "turn to pay" and the bill was £4.90.When I produced my debit card to settle up via contactless was informed you can only do so I'd transaction over £5.00.This confuses me as there is no charge to shop for debit/ contactless transactions.Luckily my lovely friend had cash or we would still be there washing dishes.....If you cannot change this policy, perhaps a notice for customers at till point would be helpful??Latte and herbal tea both good.

Great wee place, evidently popular with the cycling fraternity and locals alike. Coffee great, decent sized mugs, although they obviously thought we were bigger mugs when they ludicrously served up what can only be described as the smallest slice of victoria sponge cake this side of Lerwick! I'm not sure if they were concerned for our weight (which would be surprising given that around the table we had two international runners) or just wary of the cake surviving the notorious Kilmacolm café rush hour. Cakegate can't get any worse surely? Well that's where you're wrong. An obviously famished cyclist requested said cake and received what can only be described as the biggest slice of Victoria sponge cake this side of Lerwick. Sportism at its very worst, especially as said cyclist used the assistance of an electric bike, sadly this technology not available in running shoes at present. Good food, good coffee, but cutting it very fine.

Came in for 2 quick coffees and mint tea. Service was good and staff friendly and attentive. Extremely busy, so must be popular with the locals. Have tried their bread which is delicious.

The cafe is pleasant inside with some comfy chairs. Ordered a tea with the bag on the side. Was told no problem but it arrived in the pot so was a bit strong. A simple request...

I had visited this café once before and it was excellent. A nice relaxed atmosphere with lovely food and very helpful staff. It's disappointing that opinions can change so drastically in such a short space of time.

I'm a vegetarian and thought that this would be an idea place to eat, I also need Gluten free! The food was mediocre to say the least and the baked eggs were bounceable. Won't be going back.

I was born in Kilmacolm, and hadn't been back in years when I visited with my family. Tapa was a new and welcome addition to the village, and we decided to try breakfast. There was a good choice of cooked and continental options, and everything we tried was delicious. The guy who took the orders and made the coffees - excellent, by the way - was very pleasant and obliging despite being rushed off his feet.

I am not a frequent visitor here as there are better options locally. The real disappointment is the quality of the coffee which bears no relation to their claim to have 'the best coffee in town.' There is a good range of cakes etc. and they are fine when fresh. The snacks and meals are a better option especially the pizzas. The surroundings are comfortable and the staffs are very good, just a sham about the coffee.

Just popped in for a quick lunch after a long walk. It was very busy but the lovely lady behind the counter asked another customer if he would mind if we sat at his table so we did get a seat! We both ordered tomato soup and bread and it was so good. Piping hot soup, 4 small slices of their organic bread, different kinds and soft butter pats - hate getting chilled butter as you can't spread it properly! Would like to come back again to sample their coffee and cakes as these looked amazing.

Had a great visit to Tapa Organic. It's a warm & cosy cafe with fantastic coffee. They do iced coffee also which was a plus. As vegans we often struggle to find a good place to eat but this place was great. There are many options for vegans. Excellent wraps, soups & salads. And vegan scones & cupcakes. Will definitely be back.

I've been going there for brunch.. and indulging more in their lunch choices recently. They do great earl grey tea and baked eggs with toast . I'm glad it changed from being a beanscene. A welcome change . They do a good cafe latte too.

Stopped off in Kilmacolm recently ,looking for coffee , cake and to answer Nature's Call ...... popped in here. Got a friendly welcome and found a large, comfy sofa to flop out on . Really impressive bakery items, but not too happy about the size of the coffee cups -verging on doll's house dimensions ! The house plan might be for one to order another cup, but I never fall into that trap, too long in the tooth and stingey to go down that road- just make the size you've ended up with last longer with smaller sips ! All other customers seemed to know one another and the owner - a quaint sight when you're from the city ! Would definitely pop in again , particularly if they invest in larger cups !

I'm a big fan of the Pollokshaws Rd branch, and this is also excellent. The food is much more imaginative than many similar establishments. The sharing platters are just the right size with a decent range of options. The cakes are excellent; the best in Kilmacolm by some margin and washed down with top notch coffee. Great to have an option open late and with wine or beer available if the urge strikes.
