Caffe Venice in Inverclyde

I love going here for the best eggs benedict breakfast. I like that I can read my morning paper peacefully without the loud music that some other cafes have. The staff are excellent too. I definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict.

Had to change my Review. As of the 6th of December Prices have went up in here. It was already at the right price for a cafe. So for us we won't be returning because it's too expensive. Plus no receipt offerd.

Ordered a chicken Caesar salad which said it u closed chips and coleslaw, never got any, also my caramel macchiato was half full? Ridiculous to send it.

This was my first order from Cafe Venice, and I will definitely order again and again. The food was excellent, really good quality. It arrived lovely and hot. Delivery time was fast. Top marks for value for money. So impressed overall.

Bang average, wasn’t overly impressed. If you order the sundaes be warned it’s just caramel ice cream, was really disappointed.

The food itself is tasty but I was sent a wrong dish and also given slice instead of link with the breakfast despite the menu saying you have the option to choose from.

Ordered a breakfast without egg as I am allergic, sends the breakfast WITH egg and then refuses to send another one out when that’s no one’s fault but there own. DO NOT RECOMMEND

We have ordered food from Caffe Venice through the Just Eat app many times over the past several months and have always been delighted with the lovely food and also the prompt delivery and polite and friendly couriers.

Ordered a breakfast and my delivery driver thought it would be acceptable to go for a McDonald’s before delivering my order. Came room temperature phoned the shop and of course was told it wasn’t their issue. Won’t be back

Waited about an hour for our food then when it came some of the order was missing. To top all this off the staff were really dismissive and couldn’t eat our food due to flies swarming about everywhere. Very disappointing as the cafe used to be good.

Once again we were impressed with the food and service from Caffe Venice. Also a shoutout for the Just Eat app for the ease of ordering and the prompt and friendly courier.

Once again we had a great experience with both Caffe Venice and Just Eat. It’s so easy to order via the app and the variety of items on the restaurant’s menu is impressive. Delivery was prompt and the courier was polite and friendly. The ability to see where the courier is en route is helpful too.

I got my breakfast and nothing was cooked properly, I got a chicken tikka panini and there was no chicken tikka on it what so ever, and the baked potato was fine but the cheese tasted funny and chips were soggy

Delivery by motorcycle or scooter no good every thing was cold. This was unusual as is normally best food.

Ordered lunch to be delivered via the Just Eat app. Ordered chicken mayo toastie, baked potato with tuna mayo, and two lattes. Everything was delicious. It was great being able to see the progress of my order and where the courier was. Delivery was prompt and courier very friendly and polite. Well done to all concerned.

I popped in here for a quick roll at lunch. I opted for a bacon and potato scone. The service was brilliant, lovely girls. I asked for an extra hot latte, and the server never batted an eye, and it came roasting hot, just as I like it. The tables and floor were all clean and it wasn't at all expensive. If I had one very small criticism, it wasn't HP brown sauce (I can tell the difference..😆) but it wasn't the worst I've tasted. I will definitely pop back in again.

The chips was cold and some felt like the werent cooked enough

Dirty cutlery, however, the workers apologized and gave us new, clean cutlery. The food is for those who are used to the type of oiliness. The taste is a 50/50 and somewhat reminds me of the food in school. And that's about it.

We’re regular customers of Caffe Venice and are always pleased with the service and quality of the food. The lattes are great too. There’s plenty to choose from the varied menu. We have also ordered meals to be delivered through the Just Eat app and have been impressed with the prompt delivery and again the quality of the food.

ordered 2 hot chocolates & coffee they were in a bag. 2 of the cups were busted leaving very little coffee & hot chocolate in cups. There was quite a spillage. Very disappointed.

Once again we were delighted with our lunch from Caffe Venice. My tuna baked potato was delicious and my husband’s chicken mayo panini was also great. The lattes were still hot enough to drink. The delivery driver was polite and friendly. Our thanks to all concerned.

part of the order was wrong. received mushroom ala crema instead of beef stroganoff. phoned them rather than just opting for a refund from just-eat right away. big mistake. guy on the phone yelled at me when I said I received the wrong order and asked if he could have someone pick the wrong one up and deliver the right one. extremely rude. been their customer for years, always leaving good reviews. and this is what i get when they make a mistake.

goodness I forgot how delicious their baked potatoes are!

Caffe Venice is one of our favourite local restaurants offering a great menu. We order from them via the Just Eat app quite often and are always pleased with the quality of the food and the prompt delivery.

Only got one sausage which was disappointing

Ordering was easy and delivery prompt. The delivery driver was friendly and helpful. The menu is one of the most varied I’ve seen. I tried the baked potato with tuna mayo for the first time and it was delicious. Caffe Venice is fast becoming our go-to place.

As usual we were delighted with our food and the delivery service. The only gripe I have was the way in which my tuna toasted sandwich was presented. When it arrived the tuna had leaked out of the bread and was plastered over the paper bag it came in. It could have been wrapped in foil (which would have also kept it warm) and then placed in a paper bag or even placed in a polystyrene container to keep it protected. Having said this, the rest of my order was great.

Was impressed with how easy it was to place my order through Just Eat and the choice on the menu. The delivery was prompt and our hot food was still hot enough to eat without reheating required. The drinks were still hot too. The delivery driver was polite and courteous. Would definitely recommend.

ordered 2 steak ,mushroom and onion paninis,without mushroom and onion as well as salad and coleslaw ,food was cold will not be ordering again,and a cheek to add a service charge.

Waited 45 minutes after the agreed delivery time for two steak paninis,they were cold and they omitted the salad,coleslaw, onions and mushrooms, complete and utter garbage,and the cheek to put a service charge on it taking it up to£16.78,avoid this place like the plague.

I have visited a few times now and ordered things i knew and it was excellent. One day i ask the waitress to recommend a pasta dish I used my chips to clean the plate it was awesome the menu is now a bucket list. Friendly staff makes it all better

Was in for a coffee last Friday when a guy came in told everyone that the owner only pays the waitresses £6 per hour!!! He keeps the tips when the customer pays by card. The cash tips aren't shared out properly either. The owner watches every customer & the waitresses which is pretty creepy.

Decent enough place but wasnt happy when i found out my tips when paying by card were going straight to the owner and not to the waitresses that i was tipping for the service i havent been back since then

Don't waste your time or money got my order but omelette was supposed to come with chips and I got 3 chips under the omelette. Phoned up to complain about this and they just kept telling me that it came with chips well I guess it did but just 3 chips are you having a laugh guy hung up the phone and refused to deal with the issue so will be complaining to just eat about this. Also salami is not chorizo and shouldn't be substituted for it without telling customer coz what if I had an allergy to it besides the fact that I hate salami. Go to a takeaway that will deal with issues if they come up coz this one won't they mess your order up then hang up on customers that try to complain

Had the caprese salad and beef stroganoff with rice and both were absolutely delicious.

Food was nice and hot. Bit late, but worth the wait.

I got the sweet chili jalapeño chicken. Let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s new to me. But the sweet mixed with the spicy sauce over juicy chicken breast was not he best meal I’ve had in Scotland! I would recommend this to anyone who like spicy food and chicken. 💋👌

Gave option for links or square sausage - ask for links got square. Paid for extra toast with breakfast, didn’t get ANY. Not even what was supposed to come with it.

Well that’s a lunch time I’ll never get back, told was on its way and delivered at 12.10. It wasn’t delivered. Likely have to wait a week on a refund, but the issue here appears to be primarily with Just Eat. I called the restaurant who advised they don’t even know the driver’s name but that it had been dispatched. No way of checking this but it’s pretty poor, if you’re relying on an external delivery service then there has to be some customer care. I wouldn’t use again and in fact looking to bin Just Eat completely as it’s issue after issue. Absolutely deplorable.

Don't normally leave reviews but I just had the macaroni with garlic bread and chips and it was absolutely amazing so tasty thank you caffe venice!

Delivery was great. The paninis were absolutely awful. They all had next to no filling at all. Won’t be back!

Food was absolutely horriable soup was like coloured water pannis had hardly any filling in my sons breakfast was all over the bag I have became disabled in can cook so use.just eat to make it easier but was more stressful than anything

Chicken was like goo in cream and warm water chicken nuggets were grey inside had to order from somewhere else waste of money don’t know if it was just a off day but won’t give it a second chance at was like a bush tucker trial trying tae eat at went right in the bin never again

All was good but not perfect as usual.....Poached eggs cooked a little too long for my liking 😔 there was no runny egg yoke ... Also hollandaise sauce. Not enough and Was everywhere except on top of eggs I don't know how that happened 😂

Was insulted the moment we stepped through the door. Accidentally left the door open on entry and when the waitress went to shut it I apologised as I hadn't noticed it did not shut behind me. The waitress responded with "its ok if you were raised in a barn". Decided to let that go thinking maybe she was trying her hand at "banter". Was given a menu and my friend asked what flavours of milkshake was offered and the same waitress didn't even use her words .. she just pointed to the picture of a Strawberry and chocolate milkshake then walked away. (There wasn't anything stating either chocolate or strawberry other than the pictures so there was no other way of knowing if other flavours were offered.) After this exchange we were taken aback and felt rather uncomfortable with staying. After seeing the same waitress interact with the table next to us in a perfectly friendly manner (first name basis so obviously friends of hers) and ignore us again we decided to leave. Shame since I heard lovely things about the place but bad customer service led to not even trying anything from the menu.

Nandos chicken was boiled chicken in a sour off nandos style sauce, garlic bread was cold, wasted money

Ordered chicken tikka panini the panini was buttered with mayo hardly any chicken. Phoned up was told mayo was spread on it as it was too dry. Ruined my meal £20 odd for two soups two panini and a tottie scone roll. Avoiding here

Not great. All day breakfast was average. Mushrooms in garlic creamy sauce awful. Roughly 3 mushrooms swimming in a bright orange watery sauce and not good at all. Never again.

This place does the best chicken salad rolls ever!! And they use crispy rolls which makes it even nicer!! Everything was yummy and driver was pleasant as well as earlier than expected 😃 Thank you!

was here yesterday for brunch with my wife. lady serving was very friendly and nice. prices were very good so was the menu. my wife had chicken salad which she said was very nice i had breakfast which was nice but quality of breakfast could have been better but was good value for price will return when next in greenock. worth a visit for cheap lunch.

Food was tasty and hot but the steak and ale pie had very little steak I it , I phoned n told the cafe he said thers 10 bitsbof steak in each portion, not ours both hubby and I got 3 bits each very little mushrooms but plenty of gravy , it was tasty but no steak hardly init

This was always one of our favourite breakfast eateries in Greenock and now that it’s available on Uber Eats means it can be ordered from home. I generally keep it simple with a full breakfast however I’ve tried pasta, panini and toastie in the past and the food has always been consistently good.

Lovely full English breakfast, square sausage was fab. Bacon a little fatty. Staff really friendly. Very well priced as well.
