Caffe Venice in Inverclyde

I love going here for the best eggs benedict breakfast. I like that I can read my morning paper peacefully without the loud music that some other cafes have. The staff are excellent too. I definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict.

Excellent staff ...very clean...food ..I opted for the all day breakfast...just right everything cooked fresh..most enjoyable experience...highly recommend and will be back when Im in greenock

Waited 45 minutes after the agreed delivery time for two steak paninis,they were cold and they omitted the salad,coleslaw, onions and mushrooms, complete and utter garbage,and the cheek to put a service charge on it taking it up to£16.78,avoid this place like the plague.

I have visited a few times now and ordered things i knew and it was excellent. One day i ask the waitress to recommend a pasta dish I used my chips to clean the plate it was awesome the menu is now a bucket list. Friendly staff makes it all better

Was in for a coffee last Friday when a guy came in told everyone that the owner only pays the waitresses £6 per hour!!! He keeps the tips when the customer pays by card. The cash tips aren't shared out properly either. The owner watches every customer & the waitresses which is pretty creepy.

Decent enough place but wasnt happy when i found out my tips when paying by card were going straight to the owner and not to the waitresses that i was tipping for the service i havent been back since then

Thought we would try here for a change. Glad we did breakfasts are great. Coffee is good. Friendly staff. 5 stars all-day. Just had burger & chips was great thanks there coffee is one of the best I have tried. Wee kay is Amazing

I got the sweet chili jalapeño chicken. Let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s new to me. But the sweet mixed with the spicy sauce over juicy chicken breast was not he best meal I’ve had in Scotland! I would recommend this to anyone who like spicy food and chicken. 💋👌

Was insulted the moment we stepped through the door. Accidentally left the door open on entry and when the waitress went to shut it I apologised as I hadn't noticed it did not shut behind me. The waitress responded with "its ok if you were raised in a barn". Decided to let that go thinking maybe she was trying her hand at "banter". Was given a menu and my friend asked what flavours of milkshake was offered and the same waitress didn't even use her words .. she just pointed to the picture of a Strawberry and chocolate milkshake then walked away. (There wasn't anything stating either chocolate or strawberry other than the pictures so there was no other way of knowing if other flavours were offered.) After this exchange we were taken aback and felt rather uncomfortable with staying. After seeing the same waitress interact with the table next to us in a perfectly friendly manner (first name basis so obviously friends of hers) and ignore us again we decided to leave. Shame since I heard lovely things about the place but bad customer service led to not even trying anything from the menu.

Beautiful food and packaged very neatly. Highly recommend! We got spaghetti bolognese and fish and chips. Both arrived warm and tasty

was here yesterday for brunch with my wife. lady serving was very friendly and nice. prices were very good so was the menu. my wife had chicken salad which she said was very nice i had breakfast which was nice but quality of breakfast could have been better but was good value for price will return when next in greenock. worth a visit for cheap lunch.

This was always one of our favourite breakfast eateries in Greenock and now that it’s available on Uber Eats means it can be ordered from home. I generally keep it simple with a full breakfast however I’ve tried pasta, panini and toastie in the past and the food has always been consistently good.

Lovely full English breakfast, square sausage was fab. Bacon a little fatty. Staff really friendly. Very well priced as well.

Ordered a breakfast and a toastie. Very expensive. The breakfast was a joke. They added bbq sauce to the beans to try be like KFC. Didn't want that. Cheap beans. The black pudding was disgusting. Even the seagulls rejected it. The egg was solid but bouncy. Worst breakfast egg i have ordered anywhere. Bacon was OK but still pretty raw. Gave it to my cat. Tottie scone was soaking wet at one side. Mushrooms were boiled I think but best thing on the breakfast. Total waste. Aw n a hair. My girlfriend previously ordered a vegetarian breakfast and they send her a normal breakfast. She ditched it I gave it a chance since nowhere else was open and got robbed Ps she liked the paninni.

Friendly staff nice a clean plenty of choice from the menu and great value for money. Will certainly be back.

I had the chicken burger and hubby had the steak and ale pie. Both wonderful and the staff are excellent.

Wanted to give this place a try and we weren’t disappointed. My husband had a ham roll, (not a big eater) & I had pasta with salmon. My pasta was piping hot with a lovely peppery creamy sauce, and it was quite a big plateful. There was plenty of space around so although busy we did not feel unsafe. Staff were constantly sanitising the tables and wearing masks. I loved the mural of Venice the full length of one wall! I would like to return to try other things on the menu – I asked the waitress if breakfast was served all day and it is, so that might be the next thing to tempt me!

They are ment to do the half price deal as said by the government but no they don't just want to grab your money for food that didn't taste good bacon hard slice hard mushrooms full water

Came in for some breakfast which was amazing ! husband really enjoyed his baked potato :) the place was spotless and the coffee was really tasty !

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch in Greenock and just happened to notice this cafe. I like to support local independent businesses so decided to give it a try. There was only one table occupied when we arrived but after we had been in a short time, it soon started to fill up. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu is vast so plenty of choice for all tastes. The quality of the food was very good and the apple pie dessert looked and tasted great. Highly recommended and we will be back!

My friend and I tried here for a coffee and a chat , we had coffee and left as music was a bit too loud , we have never went back

Walking around Greenock and came by for a cup of tea. The staff is very nice and the place looks clean and comfortable to take a good rest after the long walk.

This cafe is a firm favourite of ours although haven’t been in a while. As usual we had our order taken promptly and efficiently by our friendly waitress and, despite it being an extremely busy lunchtime, our orders came in good time. We had a chicken mayo panini with a side of chips and the French toast with crispy bacon. Both were delicious and well presented and the chips were lovely. Prices very reasonable although it would be helpful if they accepted contactless payments as well as cash.

Popped in for the first time with my Mother and Aunt. Ordered a cheese and onion toastie, with my Mother ordering a cheese and ham toastie and my Aunt ordering a chicken baguette. Waiting staff were pleasant and orders did not take long to arrive, all dishes were accompanied with a side salad and coleslaw. Toastie was fine, as you would expect from a cafe, not too keen on the coleslaw on the side. Both my Mother and Aunt enjoyed their food too. Place was very clean, as was the toilet and prices were reasonable. It’s not gonna set the world on fire or be highly ranked in Greenock, however Caffe Venice was fine and is just a typical cafe.

Fresh cooked breakfast that’s good value for money. The coffee is great! And service friendly and prompt.

Every single time I walk past this place the chefs are standing OUTSIDE the front door in their CHEF WHITES and are smoking!!

Came here after walking around the Oak Mall and not finding anything that looked good. The menu is a mix of standard American and British cafe dishes and there's a pretty good range of options to choose from for a vegetarian. Inside, the the decorations are very much Italian influenced in style with a mix of wooden chairs and cushioned seating. Service was prompt, actually a little too prompt and had to ask for a couple of minutes to decide. When the waitress did take my order, it was friendly and efficient. My Mocha came first and it was a delight. I didn't actually ask for cream, but they put it on top of my coffee anyway and it was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it look fantastic, it tasted fantastic too. The mocha was made with chocolate powder which I always prefer over chocolate syrup. Then came my order of Egg Florentine. Served pretty much as the classic dish with the added bonus of good presentation. Really nicely cooked eggs, cooked through more than usual, but still enough runny yolk to get soaked up by the buns and spinach. and topped with Hollandaise sauce. Unusually, there was side portion of fresh tomatoes with pesto. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in Greenock.

Lovely new cafe - Very clean, friendly wee girl serving and good quality food. 2nd visit here and will be back. Prices very reasonable and good menu choice as well. Went in for Breakfast with my wife.

We’ve visited this new restaurant quite often since it opened and have sampled both their breakfasts and lunches, and have enjoyed our choices. Good food well presented and prompt. Staff friendly and efficient. Quite a good range of dishes to choose from. If management looking for suggestions I’d like to see individual shell pies and sausage rolls on the menu. Well worth a visit.

Recently opened in an old clothing shop, Caffe Venice is a welcome new addition to the area.
