Just wanted to say that Sweeney Todd was fantastic, and I’m so glad I got to see it! It’s clear how much love and work was put into this amazing production, and I’ve only just moved here from the states a few months ago, but I’ve already got a new favorite theater company. The cast was incredible, with such memorable performances across the board, and I look forward to seeing more from the Greenock Light Orchestra in the future.

Went to see The Addams Family Musical. The theatre was a great venue; Greenock is very lucky. The show itself was fantastic from end to end. That this group if people are amateurs is little short of amazing. Special credit to the lead role of Gomez, talent and timing superbly delivered by a young man called Adam Wilkinson.

Only visited cafe/bar. A welcome oasis in the wastes of Greenock. Not knocking the town that has been dealt an atrocious hand in recent years. Nevertheless, a great place for a coffee or lunchtime bite. Clean, airy, fantastic views across the Clyde. Reasonable menu and prices. Performance area not visited, but eclectic and inclusive programme advertised. Now, let's see the politicians channel enough into the area to give it some competition. Pace Scott's.

We were able to book a window table via Tony, for with views cover the Clyde toward Helensburgh through floor to ceiling glass windows this is a spectacular venue. Our server Natalie was very attentive. We opted for a soup / Sqndwich Combo along with a steak pie meal of mash and peas. Both meals came piping hot. The butternut squash soup was nice an think and the ham and cheese sandwich on normal whole meal bread came with a small portion of oven fresh tortilla chips. All very nice. There is a drinks menu too. We finished with latte. This has to be a place you will want to visit more than once just to enjoy the views. In summer I can imagine sitting on the terrace. A great experience and yes we shall return.

Superb local theatre. We have been to see lots of good things here and there is plenty variety to choose from. We like that it’s easy to get to, easy to park (for free) and nice inside. When it’s full there are enough people that the atmosphere is good. The views are stunning from the cafe/bar. Good to support a local theatre too and hopefully that means more good shows will happen.

We've been to several shows in the Beacon - great artistic performances. However, the behaviour of members of the audience can be described as awful. Groups of people, out for the night can arrive inebriated, and then fill up at the bar, and bring their drinks into the auditorium, where they continue to be nuisances for the duration of the show. The staff don't seem to know how to control this behaviour. We would never go back to the Beacon to see a show - and that's really annoying, because they put on great shows!

First time being here last night (Saturday) and it was to a stand up comedy show which i thought was great. It was multiple acts for 2 hours and a short break half way through for any toilet needs or snacks. And this morning I arrived again for some brunch! It was a lovely day and thought i'd go here for a brunch before work, which isn't too far from it. For my brunch I chose a cappacuno with a filled roll - bacon and poached egg. Poached egg isnt mentioned in menu but they did it anyways :D

Came for lunch and won’t return. Ordered 2 toasties. Done in a sandwich marker with barely any filling inside. The chicken mayo toastie was completely inedible full of peppercorns and not sure it was mayonnaise certainly didn’t taste like it. Attended the bar to pay and on enquiry explained the chicken mayo toastie I had taken one bite out of and could not eat completely inedible. Patronisingly the bar man stated he could go and get the manager to sample this before he could take it off the bill. Instead we paid the full bill and left. Poor service with even poorer food. A decent theatre. I was seated at the end of my row. During the show someone was filming it, the staff stood next to me trying to attract the attention of the person. They flashed a torch at the person waving a bit of paper. This went on for around 10 minutes and then staff stood for the rest of the show looking along the audience. I assume they didn’t want to disturb people in the row the guy was sitting in but that was at the cost of distracting me during the show. If they had went in and spoke with the person then it may not have had such a long disturbance on my night. I’ll add my mates weren’t impressed with Merchant City prices, two glass of wine for £17. They never bought another drink because of the price.

Really disappointed with the customer services at the beacon arts guild missed a performance due to a bereavement in November and tried contacting the venue and no one answered to voice mail or email. Eventually I got through and was told management would be in touch, still waiting a month later. Countless correspondence and still no management response. Then told while attending the Christmas panto that the show account was settled so tough luck email to manager but not to hold a breath. Four tickets to a performance down the toilet, no offer of another performance to anything as a courtesy, considering the fact if they answered their mail then I would not be in this position. What is all their fundraising at every performance for when they can't offer a genuine alternative during a crisis.

We were a family of 7 who came for pre theater festive meal before pantomime on the 29th December. Told to book for around 5pm to have plenty of time to eat. When we turned up initially we were ignored and made to wait until a member of cast went past us and got served. We were then handed the menu. It was the daytime menu. No pre theatre no festive menu. We did get served drinks. Menu very limited. 3 fish and chips large and one small. 1 baked potato and chilli, scrambled egg on toast and a soup.. when the food did appear about 50 minutes later, there was 2 large, 2 small and a large that was the same size as the small. The chips were fries, not everyone had peas and there was no tartare sauce. The other food came out 5 minutes later. I sent my fish back due to the size, I finally got the plate thumped back in front of me with extra fries and a small piece of fish added to the original. The original fish had been put back into the fryer. The fries were so hard you could have played jenga with them. It's a shame as the fish meat was quite tasty. The soup was inedible as it was oversalted. The baked potato skin was inedible as it obviously had been around all day. We wanted 2nd drinks. We had to go to the bar. We were informed that the chef came from ingleston, think he must have worked in the stables. If I was a trained chef, I would not have served any part of that meal. The waiting staff weren't interested, and if there was a manager on duty, he certainly didn't come near us. When asked who to complain to we were told to Google it. This place struggles and I don't know how they get it so wrong. Do yourself a favour, go anywhere but here to eat. Even yhe box office staff had chip shop fish and chips. We were so jealous. Thank goodness we went into panto right after it. Because it was fantastic. We do want support local business. But they need to produce the goods, food and service. We won't be back for food.

Three of us ordered the full Scottish breakfast as a treat. When the plates arrived the meals were certainly large but unfortunately each element was so sodden with grease as to be inedible. The waitress did apologise and brought extra napkins to mop up the grease. Despite our complaint no reduction in price was offered. The staff’s parting comment was “well it was a fry up”. Sarcasm as a substitute for customer service. Disgusting experience which we won’t repeat
