Tap and Tonic Haworth in Bradford

On a recent visit to Howarth my wife and I decided to go for a few drinks in the evening of our visit, we visited 4 pubs/bars and had the same round of drinks in each (A pint and a half of a popular known brand of lager, not premium of craft beers just a standard Lager) the bar person was fine, friendly enough, took our order and served the drinks, which was all good, at this point my wife and I were distracted by something we found amusing that we had seen through the window outside so when the bar person came up with the card reader I just tapped my card and paid, (Please note at no point was I informed of the price of my purchase by the bar person but i was informed by the bar person where to place my bank card on the card reader to complete the purchase and I heard that clearly so it’s not a case of being over distracted and not hearing something that was said.) When I returned home I checked my online banking and noticed I had been charged £10.10 for this purchase which was between £3.00 and £2.70 Higher than the 3 other Pubs/Bars we visited on that evening twice purchasing a pint and a half of the same product and once a very similar product, I’m not entirely sure if I was charged for two pints (which would of still made it pricey) or if I was simply overcharged. other than that, it’s an ok place for a drink, not much atmosphere though.

Only called in for my favourite tipple (old Fashioned) staying overnight near by , the two members of staff was very friendly , professional also gave the best advice where to eat … treehouse which I would highly recommend . Thanks guys

We went in for a negroni or two as we had had one the previous day and it was lovely. When we left we were chased up the street by the bartender asking us if we had stolen a light and we had to empty our pockets and bag on the road. She said we were on CCT V and it was there before we got there. We had no idea what she meant but complied of course. Was very strange, felt very uneasy after this. It was just very uncomfortable.

Nice pub, limited cask ale choice. But by god it was freezing. Sat with coats on and left after one drink. Might of stayed for more than one if it was bit warmer. Went somewhere else and sat by the fire.

Great bar only let down by too many massive TV’s

A wonderful afternoon tea and cheeseboard yesterday, excellent wine & prosecco. Service was 100%, loved the music too. Daryll you made our day ( all 9 of us lol )

What a great bar! Attended my friends 50th private function (2hrs) then open to the public as normal. Lovely space & atmosphere with an outside area for warmer drier days. Super friendly Yorkshire hospitality with great bar staff & drinks on tap. Great bar great music & 3 screens for sports

Great selection of drinks. Nice surroundings. Not the biggest bar and having a football match on meant a lot of people crammed in to a small area leaving awkward spaces for customers who wanted to sit down.

After a folk fiddle workshop weekend, we all turned up with our fiddles and played an afternoon session

This is an update. Came here in 2022, had a couple of drinks, chatted with locals, loved it. Came back today 03.09.23 on my way further north and currently in the beer garden. Put the F1 on for me, had a lovely chat with Kirsty, met a couple of locals, I just love this place. When I'm in the area, I will always come visit. Prices are so good too.

All the tourists appear to be at the top end of town, pretty quiet in here and I’m the first to have the cask ale today and it’s gone 2:00. Great place nevertheless and the beer brewed in Leyburn is on form.

Have only been to tap and tonic a few times, I came for my partners birthday and the whole day was made by the wonderful barmaid called Lexi (apologies if spelt wrong) she was absolutely amazing, genuinely one of the best cocktail magicians I have ever known. An absolute credit to the team, thank you for making our night fabulous. Lots of love, southern sunshine crew xx

Hired out Tap&Tonic for my 60th birthday gathering.Kirsty & team couldn't so enough for us, we had a fab night! Food from Barrats kitchen was just delicious 😋 Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere on Saturday night decent price for drinks, did not eat there but food I saw looked great.

Terrible from the get go. Asked if they were open and got some weird glances from the staff. When we eventually (took about 20 minutes as the staff were all chatting at the bar) got our drinks they were flat so we left and went somewhere else. Shame as we were told it was a nice place to go by friends. Won’t be back

Visited for the first time yesterday afternoon with friends to watch the FA Cup Final. They let us book a large table so top marks. Nice decor, friendly staff, good choice of drinks, good location at the bottom of Haworth Main Street and it’s dog friendly. It’s a good place to hang out with friends.

Really enjoyed Tap and Tonic. Lovely atmosphere and the service was great. The lady who served us (didn't get her name but her puppy was called Rhubarb) was friendly / welcoming and an asset to Tap and Tonic.

Strange little bar. The bar itself takes up about a third of the room, the chairs on the high tables are too low and three TV's in a small room makes it more like a sports bar. Expected something totally different from the outside. Service ok and prices reasonable

Fantastic little beauty ! In the iconic village of Haworth ! Fantastic selection of beers , gins wine etc ! Staff are very friendly 10/10 ! Very cozy in inside fantastic seating areas , I was on a day out with my family here for the first time ! Fell in love with place ! On our way out the staff were beautiful to say goodbye very friendly !

Great Ale, friendly staff and dog friendly.

The attractive frontage drew us in and we enjoyed a coffee and shortbread on the bench outside. Great views of the iconic town area and ideal to watch the world go by with occasional smoke wafting across as trains head along the preserved Keighley and Worth Valley line.

Not my sort of bar at all. It gives the impression that it's a real ale house but it's far from that, it only offered two real ales. The one I tried was ghastly and was served it a glass that reminded me of a lemonade glass of the sixties. Okay it was new and immaculately clean and bright, showing sky sports but that's the only positive for me

Popped in here for a quick drink, the place has lovely decor and has been very well thought out. Unfortunately it was really pricey!! £5 for 2 lime and sodas (from the tap not even a bottle)…it was the most expensive lime and soda I’ve ever had!

Only one real ale on draft but excellent pint of Goose Eye Chinook. The bar takes up almost half the room and table positioning creates a fun obstacle course. Outdoor seating / smoking area to rear. Bar scoobies such as crisps, nuts and pork pies. 3 large TV's inside.

What a lovely friendly cocktail bar. After a bad experience visiting the Fleece inn just before. Nikki ( I think her name was behind the bar) made us feel very welcome. We will be back 😀

Kirsty, the owner, has clearly poured her heart and soul into the bar. It is modern and clean but has real character. Good selection of Gins. It was a surprise to meet Faf de Klerk (world class South African rugby player) in the bar. Well worth a visit

Lovely, modern bar on the Main Street in Haworth. The bar has a really lovely feel to it despite it being quiet when we were there. I love the decor from the entrance to the toilets, well done to the owners who have certainly considered every aspect from the flooring, walls, chairs, tables and lighting - they have created a great bar, I will definitely return for a drink or two next time I’m in Haworth 👍

Always enjoy this little gem of a place. Very reasonable food and drink prices. Nice little beer garden out back. Cosy and friendly inside with spotless facilities. Ownesr and staff helpfull, friendly and accommodating. Dogs welcome. It always looks busy from outside but don't let that put you off. People drinking in here always make us feel welcome.

Great venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Staff looked after us throughout our stay and the place was very lively with a buzzing atmopshere. There are TVs outside too. Wood definitely visit again.

Lovely bar in Howarth. Dog friendly but does get busy as it's quite small inside. Shows live football too.

Just had one beer with driving but could have spent afternoon enjoying the excellent beer in this great location hence only 4 stars rather than 5

First visit here and will definitely be back. Such a lovely place to sit inside and enjoy a drink. Ok on this occasion this was only a coffee but still very nice (complete with a biscuit). A wide selection of alcoholic drinks were on the menu as well as soft drinks. It's nice to see a place open on Monday too as some businesses in Haworth don't open until later in the week. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Big TVs on the walls and a comfy sofa, what more could you want!

A wonderful stopping of point as you rest from walking down Main St or prepare to make the ascent.
