Found this restaurant on a short stay in Southport. We were made so welcome into the comfortable environment. Given the casual and homely nature of the restaurant, we weren’t expecting the 5 star food quality which we were served. The staff were lovely, the food was exquisite and brilliant value for money. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Two of us went here on Thursday at about 6.30 pm, we had an early bird deal, we found the food delightful in taste. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a bottle of wine two soft drinks, popadoms, and chutneys, starters two main meals, rice, and Peshwari naan, all for under £40.OO, thank you! The place was very clean.

Visited Tanima recently and was not disappointed. Food was lovely and tasty, with lots of options, and in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Prices reasonable too! Restaurant is just off the main thoroughfare of Lord St, with plenty of parking, so all-in-all a good night out was enjoyed. Recommended

This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. Food was like chunks of dog food! Breakfast bowls are used to supply food on and it's rough! All fish is frozen before cooking, they are situation in a coastal town??? Food is cheap as chips, so ideal for volume eaters...

Fish wrapped in banana leaves was heaven on a plate. This restaurant is no middle of the road Indian, it has so much more to offer. Lovely staff and an all round excellent experience. Lamb dishes are sublime and I have never been served onion bajis so perfectly cooked. Cant wait to come back. PLEASE KEEP THIS RESTAURANT IN BUSINESS!

This restaurant is one of our nearest Indians & one of our favourite. We’ve eaten here both in the restaurant & received takeaways & always received a great service with very tasty flavoursome food. Keep up the good work!

Where are you people of Southport eating? Why is this place not packed to the rafters. We went last for the early bird for 2. The food is exceptionally good as is the service and the wine. £20 in total for popadoms and dips, which may I say were the best I have eaten. So fresh and deffo home made. The starter was a mix of samosa, onion bhaji and tandoori chicken. All very good especially the chicken which melted in the mouth. Then we had a chicken madras and vindaloo with boiled and pilau rice and naan bread. All were excellent. The wine was £13 a bottle which is very good value. Please people you have to give this place a chance, pay a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Slow service, rude owners and poor quality. Great location but sadly alot of teething problems with this new restaurant in southport.

We ate at Tanima on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. If you want a Tikka Massala or Balti, it's on the menu and it'll be one of the best you've tasted, but their speciality is Southern Indian food from the Kerala region so don't be put off by not being familiar with the names of the dishes - give them a try! Really beautifully cooked, tasty food, perfectly spiced and served with a smile by the friendly and obliging host. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Just ordered a takeaway (this is not a restaurant) from here and was pleasantly impressed. Only been open a few months, premises are clean, staff were friendly, food was ready when they said it would be. I collected my order. Samosas and onion bhajis were crispy, pilau rice was fragrant and fresh. Chicken madras could have been hotter but was tasty nevertheless. Chicken tikka massala was also very tasty, only maybe missing some onions or a little veg, but chicken pieces were tender thighs, so a thumbs up there. These additions would have made it 5 out of 5!! All in all, a tasty meal at a reasonable price, from a clean premises, hope it continues and I wish them luck with the new venture. I will return!!
