Tang's in Gedling

Was recommended tangs years ago and have been going ever since. Large choice on the menu, nice food and consistent. Never had a bad meal. Like to order on the website and get loyalty points and can collect when you want.

We ordered a takeaway on a Sunday evening. Delivery was prompt and driver was lovely, food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were good too - undeniably great! Definitely our new go-to Chinese takeaway of choice.

We have used this takeaway for several years with no complaints, this week we ordered two dishes that have changed completely. Chrispy wanton instead of being light very crispy and delicious are now heavy, doughy and burnt. We telephoned and were told they had changed the pastry to less expensive type. We also ordered seaweed which has always been light and dry, this time it was heavier and shiney with oil? It seems that they are trying to keep costs down at the expense of both quality and taste. We have decided not to use them again as we liked their dishes as they were.

Really nice, fresh tasty food. Much nicer than any other we've had. Friendly staff. Good price and rewards scheme through the website.

RUDE!!!!!!! Me and my friend went in for an order, my friend ordered special fried rice phone rang and she ignored us , we will never order from you again we were first you just ignored us over phone order absolutely disgusting!!!! 😡😡😡😡By the way our pie chips and peas were great hope you happy with yourselves Happy new year 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Ordered meal for 2 my wife and myself arrived 15minutes later nice and hot perfectly cooked best we've had in a long time will definitely use again you always get certain people moaning about nothing some people never satisfied thank you tangs for a good service .

Absolutely appalling service. We ordered a £24+ order through their website at 17:06 and put in a delivery request for 19:30. At 20:00 I called the shop after 51 attempts (granted its a busy night) I spoke to a lady called ‘Lee’ asking when could we expect our order, she knew straight away our address and said it will be 30 minutes. She laughed it was busy, she spoke to other people whilst I was talking and was flapping because you could hear the chaos in the kitchen. At 21:00 we called AGAIN and they said it was out for delivery. At 21:28 the delivery man called us but from the shop!? He said the food was being done now! When we asked to speak to the woman we spoke to originally we said forget the order she then LIED AGAIN and said it was already out for delivery!!! My husband said he would go directly to the shop for a refund. Wen he arrived the food was ready, and she offered something free or something next time - we explained we wouldn’t be using them again. She said “you’re lucky your getting food” she said she would process the refund. He asked for this in writing but she gave her word it would be done. She gave us the order and he left. Getting home with the COLD food at 10:15pm (we ordered extra early at 5pm!!) We brought extra for my son who went without and went to bed! The food was cold, and we don’t enjoy reheated food so a lot was wasted!! I called the shop and asked to speak to the manager - who apparently doesn’t speak English so couldn’t speak to him, so I spoke to Lee again. I asked if the refund had been process she said no later because she’s busy. She said it would be for £7... my husband came on the phone and explained this was not agreed at the shop!! She was very rude, and said she wouldn’t do the refund, my husband said he will return the food and would come to the shop for the full refund... she put the phone down and won’t answer!!!! Absolutely terrible!!! And spent a whole evening on New Year’s Eve trying to chase up a Chinese takeaway order!!!! Appalling service! Granted it’s NYE and will be busy - that’s why we ordered early... and we’re happy to go for 2 hour wait delivery slot !! NOT 5+ HOURS with appalling service and cold food!!! WILL NOT BE USING THEM AGAIN.

We cant make our mind up about this place,one week its lovley but another time its rubbish.We have tried telling who ever is on the phone that the meal is not good they just say they will pass the info on.So think we will give it a miss for a whille.

First time I'd been and the food was delicious plenty of king prawns in the meal rather than just a few Ribs were tasty and tender will definitely be coming back.

Really lovely fresh food delivered in time stated and it was hot (which you don't get with some delivery services). I find the app a bit of a cumbersome so call to place orders.

Love this Chinese takeaway! Very clean and friendly staff. Food is excellent and unlike the majority of Chinese takeaways they have some gluten free options and will adapt some dishes to a gluten free friendly version. Visited several times during last year and would definitely recommend to friends, always consistent good quality food,
