Happy with food and service. Collection timing is awesome.. Children's enjoy the noodles..

Great food, they only take cash though, no cards.

I have been to this take away for dinner time during the week, very busy take away, I ordered a roast pork fried rice, the service really fast, the food delicious! the pork was cooked to perfection, the rice was very tasty and not too oiled, the only negative thing is that you can only pay in cash, for the rest everything is good. I will go back again!

we regularly order from the river pearl because it's always quality, a polite team and always hot and delivered within the time they say.

I ordered sirloin steak for the first time, I have used River Pearl numerous times as it has always been very good, however the steak was tough, all gristle and chewy, I was unable to eat any of the meat. I rang to explain to no avail, I was told it is excellent steak and they only use the best quality, evidently that was not the case. They could not give a refund. Being a valued customer is not worth anything. I will vote with my feet and never use them again! This is a true and honest review. I have been a customer for 10 years and have never had reason to complain before until now!

Delivery cancelled for no reason

Been here few time. Come yesterday for a meal deal egg fried rice and chicken curry. It was delicious 😋 I would 💯 recommend to a friend and I will be returning. Can't believe I forgot to get a menu tho .....

Absolutely amazing food! Ordered for the first time and will be using it as my go to from now on. Reasonable prices, super fast delivery, food fresh and hot with good portion sizes and incredible quality. The best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in a very long time.

Not great, disappointing, all the food seemed a bit soggy. Had a starter for 2 and the crispy duck was missing. No sauce on other items so very dry, but the prawn toast was not very crispy. Won’t be ordering from here again. The crispy beef main was also not very crispy.

I did not enjoy my takeaway at all it was tasteless plus I feel I paid 20.00 for peppers and a bag of chips there was hardly any meat and the sauce was so watery on my plate. The prawn crackers tasted of nothing as well. Total waste of money.

Covid turned our local Chinese restaurant into a takeaway before it was forced to close. So we looked around for a nearby takeaway with good reviews and found this place. Our order was ready for collection when we arrived. Someone waiting for their order recommended the food and he was right. It was lovely and there was lots of it

By far the best Chinese in Notts. Food was freshly made, generous portions and very tasty.

Food ordered when they opened so shouldn’t have been too busy, our order arrived on time but the food was cold and our lemon chicken was tough and very overcooked - won’t use or order again

Disappointed they don’t do card transactions why is this ??? People don’t carry cash these days they need to move with the times before they lose even more customers we won’t be returning is it so they don’t have to declare taking ????

I order a chicken fried rice when i got home to eat ther was just 3 tiny bet of chicken i would give 0 stars if i could £4.50 for what was basicaly just egg fried rice

Great food. There was a mix up with our order being delivered to the wrong address, but the shop were quick to fix it and deliver to us in 20 mins with a complimentary bottle of coke. Food was hot and fresh. Definitely recommend this place!

Pedimos la comida para 3, que parecía una buena relación calidad-precio a 24. Estaba listo a tiempo y era enorme. La mejor tostada de gambas de sésamo que he probado con algas crujientes. Hermoso pollo agridulce con masa ligera y crujiente, ternera tierna y champiñones y un típico pollo al curry chino. Tres porciones de arroz frito especial con un recipiente separado de cerdo asado y una bolsa de galletas de gambas. Lo único negativo que pude encontrar (y estoy siendo quisquilloso aquí) la salsa agridulce era un poco soso o habría sido 5 estrellas. Esta es ahora mi comida china local para llevar.

Awful ordered for when opened food was cold beef bb was like jelly like it was last night's heated up in the microwave and the chowmain was like eating gandys flip flop

We've just ordered from there for the first time simply as we fancied a change from our usual Chinese. Did the Google search etc and ordered vis just eat. Ordered at 1917, messaged to say it's on its way at 1929 and by 1940 it was here. Everything we ordered was spot on and still very hot. The prawn toast was superb ( it actually had the mashed prawn stuff on it not just a prawn rubbed on it like many places) Portions are good. This is a gem of a find and we will be using them again, often.

Always fast service staff are caring and always on time and the food is always excellent would recommend 100percent

The best Chinese in the Carlton/Gedling/Mapperly area without a doubt! Try there salt and pepper chicken you won’t look back!

Thought I'd try this chinese as can't find a decent Chinese, and food was greasy, chips were greasy and soggy, chicken chow mein wasn't nice, tasteless and the chicken tasted like it was processed frozen chicken, pancake roll was greasy and soggy too instead of nice and crispy as it should have been like. So disappointed and won't be returning to waste another £20.

Shocking bad attitude and customer service from an extremely rude lady claiming to be the 'manager'. 4 mins after an incorrect time confirmation through Just Eat called to adjust and she claimed the food was ready to go out the door. Cutting a long story short this person is very rude and seems to enjoy being so. Cancelled my order, hung up on me and when I went to the shop she laughed as I complained to Just Eat on the phone and left. Remembering that as she cancelled the order no review can be left on Just Eat for others to see beforehand, which I am sure she is aware of. Customers beware try Nan King Garden, Gedling or Tangs, Arnold instead as they value customers and the food is far superior. Will never order from here again!!

Avoid this awful place. We ordered food from here for my birthday, they got the order wrong and completely covered two of the items in sweet and sour sauce, which I don't like and didn't order. It doesn't say anything on the menu about the items coming with the sauce. I called them to ask them to change it, the rude lady who answered the phone was argumentative and told me that I'm wrong, and denied covering the food with the sauce. I asked if she would do anything about it and she refused, seriously bad attitude problem. If they just admitted they made a mistake and offered to swap it I would have happily left a five star review. �There's a couple of other Chinese takeaways only a minute walk away, the food at both is excellent and the staff provide great customer service.

I have eaten here before and since new management. Food was good before but now even tastier and fresh tasting. We had food for 8 people for just under £50 and there was ample. Delivered exactly on time. Will definitely be continuing to use.

This restaurant doesn't deliver. They do a great vegetarian set meal which they are always happy to make vegan for me. They are very helpful with explaining ingredients in their dishes and making adjustments to them.

If they deliverd I would give them five star.
