Fabulous service & the food was up to the normal high standards expected at Tangs. Good one-way system & tables at good spacing. We haven’t been in since early 2020 & it was great to be back

Great food and service with a smile and humor !Good guys here trying to do their best during a difficult year , we went on Sunday 1st Nov just prior to 2nd lock down.Please support them with Take Aways and also a visit when they are able to open again.

Food amazing and this location totally understand COVID issues Food was delivered hot and well presented Can’t praise the staff enough for bringing in everything on time hot and explain menus and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Top drawer

Have been here and had a great meal but can be hit and miss - I think the Manager takes too many takeaway orders and then gets bogged down.....then service and quality slips. Will try it again though.

I am usually a regular diner at Tangs. The staff and the service is second to none. The food on my last visit was probably the best Chinese food I’ve eaten in years. I can genuinely recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The service here is impeccable. They have a couple of touches which could be deemed tacky but they work. There is a service button on each table, press that and someone is with you in seconds. The food is very good and they can't do enough for you. It is always busy and full. I don't know why i don't go here more. The decor leaves a bit to be desired but it more than makes up for it.

We booked a table for 8 people for a family celebration. Service was very good . Restaurant was clean . The menu was varied and interesting. Food was as expected and we went away very happt

A group of us - 13 people in total - went to Tangs for a banquet and it was excellent. The ood was delicious and the service first class. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

A group of us visited Tangs for a friends birthday on a Saturday. Upon arrival for a prebooked table we were kept waiting half an hour in the foyer whilst listening to people collecting take aways complain about waiting an hour for their food. Once we were seated the staff were very polite and courteous, the food was very nice, although I only wish there were more of it, we opted for a banquet, it appeared we only got one of each item such as ribs, wings etc. and I went home hungry.

9 of us went to Tangs on Sunday evening for my husband’s birthday, and what a good choice it turned out to be. The table was decorated, which was lovely, the food was amazing, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. We had a fabulous evening, enjoyed the superb food, and laughed so much. Thankyou Ho, Ryan and Lisa for making our evening memorable.

Having experienced a meal being thrown down my back (accidents do happen I know), followed by a staff member being disrespectful to disabilities of people at the table, I went to speak to the manager. He had no concern for what was being shared with him and only smirked. When I pointed this smirking out to him he became very aggressive towards me. I repeatedly had to ask him to step back and take his jabbing finger out of my face. He was only interested in how much of the bill I was going to pay. Telling him I did not want to discuss the bill but rather his behavioural issues, just made him more aggressive towards me. What a shocking experience & this is a place we have been going to for many years. Never again. Reading some of the other reviews below, it would appear this management behaviour is not a one off.

We went with friends on NYE 2019 and the service and their attitude towards us was awful - we will not be going there again. We had to wait 30 mins for our table and then they ignored us for the rest of the evening

Ordered a takeaway at 5.30pm on New Years Eve, was told it would be 20 minutes, waited well over 1.5h for it, not only that but was overcharged too!Why not say, “we are really busy it will be an 1.5h” rather than 20 minutes.Such a shame as usually Tangs offers excellent service.

Visited Tangs a fair bit when I was younger but not been for years. Pleased to say it’s still as good as always - we had the banquet which was all delicious - especially the sweet and sour chicken and shredded chilli beef. There was a break between courses which was also good as it’s a lot of food! Very good value for 23 quid each! Service was prompt and friendly. The only negative I would give is the restaurant was a bit chaotic when we arrived around 8pm because of all of the take away orders going out - staff were literally running from the kitchen to the door with bags which wasn’t very relaxing whilst you’re trying to eat. It did ease off around 9 though. Otherwise it was very good and will definitely return!

This restaurant is almost next door to where I live but it was the first time I had visited prompted by “her indoors” wanting “a Chinese”

Not been for a while... as always can not fault it. Service, ambiance, food all stunning. Fabulous local independent restaurant

we have visited Tangs on many occasions and last nights visit was the same as usual fantastic food & excellent service ! lovely salt & pepper spare ribs prawn balls with chili dip steamed siu mai har kau beef & green peppers roast duck with prawn meat stuffing chicken with Chinese mushrooms mixed seafood with udon noodles and yeung chow fried rice all superb cooked to perfection. great choice of wines and Asahi lager on draught ! this meal was on Saturday night 3rd august It was my wife's brothers birthday and we were given the best table in the restaurant nicely decorated & with balloons. hoe & his team always make you feel very welcome. I recommend Tangs to all lovers of Chinese Cuisine. we are looking forward to our next visit !

The food was amazing! The bbq ribs for the starters are wonderful! And so are the sesame prawn toast. I really like their sweet and sour duck and highly recommend it.

We had a superb meal here on Saturday night and it was just superb. We had a lovely table for two in the far corner of the restaurant and were served drinks whilst looking through the menu. The staff here are the most friendly and helpful you could hope to find and we both the most enjoyable of evenings with excellent food and lovely surroundings. The food is plentiful and always served hot. The choice of dishes and variety of ingredients is amazing. We chose to have a selection of starters and what a dish we found in crispy prawn balls. Just the best way to have prawns and delightful with sweet and sour dips. We had plenty of rice and noodles and fillet steak with Cantonese sauce was stunning. We had to leave without dessert as we were both stuffed to the gills and couldn’t eat another thing! The bill was very pleasing and the whole experience was great. Wonderful food and excellent service and all at a price that isn’t going to break the bank. I would strongly recommend that you book a table as this restaurant can get very busy and I would always advise that if you don’t want to eat in they do take away service with a discount for take away customers. Very very nice and thank you to all those who served us so beautifully!! We will be back in the very near future!!

Called in on a busy Friday night and they managed to accommodate us. Food was excellent and staff extremely polite and attentive. Highly recommend.

I have been visiting Tangs (Wings) for the past 10 years or so and in recent years I have been getting takeaways at least once a month. I reviewed tangs just last week, giving an average rating due to the inconsistency, occasional hairs in food and high prices of the food but also the quick order turnaround and good veggie selection. However due to my trip to tangs this past weekend I am very disappointed. When i came in to collect my food there was an Indian family in front of me entering at the same time. Me being Indian myself I made a conscious effort to stand far away from them so it was clear that I was a separate customer. Behind the counter the manager and a waitress were discussing something with their back towards the door and so it took a while for them to serve the family in front. Then another customer came in behind me so we were both waiting to be served. Another waiter came to the front of the restaurant, and then proceeded to call out to the man behind me, who they knew by name (assuming he is quite a regular customer) and then served him his takeaway before me, despite me clearly being next in line. Either the waiter thought I was with the family in front of me (which would he an honest mistake), or he just completely ignored me and served the man behind me. Either way I was not impressed but before I could protest the manager was free to serve me, and so I didn't mention anything. When the manager was serving me he read out my order then held out his hand for my card. I gave him the card as I thought he would insert it into the machine and hand it back to put my pin in, instead he used contactless without showing me the amount he had inserted into the machine. This is thought was very cheeky especially as they don't provide you with an itemised receipt so they could be charging whatever amount they wished that seemed reasonable unless you knew the correct prices with the takeaway discount applied (i believe on past occasions when i have used cash they have overcharged me as well). As he was still serving me, the manager was also greeting another family behind me, so I just took my food and slipped out. My sister was waiting in the car so I told her what had happened and she was not happy. Apparently when she had come to collect an order previously the manager had used contactless on her card without showing her as well. So we both went back inside and my sister very calmly told the manager why she wasn't happy and that she wanted an itemised receipt and that he should always show the customer the amount he puts in the machine. The manager started acting defensively and saying we didn't need to argue and that giving itemised receipts wastes paper and that showing the amount int he machine wastes time. He was brushing off our concerns with smirks and it was quite infuriating. I then told him about the waiter ignoring me and he started making excuses and then said very sarcastically that he would have a team meeting once the restaurant was closed and tell his staff off, to which me and my sister told him clearly his attitude was the problem not his staffs. It has become clear to me and my family over the years of visiting tangs that the manager has clear favorite customers (specifically those that spend more or introduce other families to the restaurant) and that not all customers are treated the same which is a real shame. I firmly believe that if there was another customer with these concerns they would have been treated very differently. My family and I will not be returning to Tangs again, if you want good veggie selections, with good prices and service with a smile I suggest Mings in Gately.

Been getting takeaways from Tangs monthly for the past few years. Food is very inconsistent, however when it is good, its is really tasty. It's a bit on the expensive side compared to other places for a takeaway so they could benefit from giving freebies such a prawn crackers or extra sauces. I can collect within 20 mins of ordering which is great and there is good parking at the back of the restaurant. A family favorite are the spring onion pancakes, to die for!

I visited here 13 years ago and the food was so salty that I didn't go back for 13 years. However, when I returned, the food was just as salty! Many people seem to love this restaurant but I have never known Chinese food to be as salty as this.

Not been here for years but thought we would give it a try. Place is not massive and has nice decor. Choice of food was extensive with some interesting dishes you don't always see in normal Chinese restaurants. Service was friendly and service prompt. Only point we found was that food was on the salty side, otherwise perfect.

No room for improvement. Everything ordered delicious on family Birthday. Seaweed, ribs, crispy duck, mongolian lamb, sweet and sour chicken etc. 'Lisa' waitress' customer service exemplary. We will be back ❤

This was our second visit to Tangs. This time it was for my partners birthday. We had the hors d'oeuvres to start with which has seaweed, pickled vegetables, spring rolls, ribs, steak and some I can't remember. We then had sweet and sour pork, shredded chilli beef and char sui fried rice. My partner got a lovely gesture of balloons on the table and at the end of the meal an ice cream and the staff sang happy birthday. It is a tad expensive but the food is delicious and we'll definitely be coming back when next in.

Our party attended for a 40th birthday... received less than half the starters after almost 2 hours cancelled the rest of the starters as they saiid it would be a further 15 mins and went onto mains. That was a further 30 mins. Asked to speak to the manager on a few occasions who didn’t listen, talked over us and stormed. We will never be returning, worst service i have ever experienced. Such a shame to have ruined my brother in laws 40th birthday!

Nice staff the meal was ok .but we were both sick the next morning don't think we will be going back in a hurry

really disappointed with our family visit last night the restaurant was full but chaotic staff running around which wasn't very relaxing, food was salty and starters awful from the fixed christmas menu felt £150 was a waste of money for a rushed bad experience has put me off ever going again which is a shame as eaten here before think having takeaways running as well as restaurant service was too much for them to cope with!!

Our Family have been regular customers for many years. This restaurant is owned by two of the nicest people you could wish to meet or know. Well done Ho and Amy for you hard work delivering delicious Cantonese cuisine.

Great food and service all though it was very busy as you’d expect at this time of year, but extremely upset at the amount of extra orders added to our final bill that we had not ordered, waiter was apologetic but main guy at front of house didn’t seem phased by it. First and last visit

My wife and I dined at the Tangs last Saturday. The restaurant was full which is a good indication. We have been before and it is always a happy experience.

Para llevar, me dijeron que media hora llegó después de media hora y tuve que esperar otros 40 minutos (nuestra orden no era grande ni complicada) y cuando llegué a casa tengo una hierba extra y arroz frito con huevo y ¡no hay platos principales! Para entonces ya era tarde, así que no regresé y no lo haré ahora. El pedido de 40 no era el más barato tampoco.

Había pasado un tiempo desde nuestra última visita, afortunadamente nada había cambiado, Tangs sigue siendo uno de los mejores restaurantes chinos de la región.

My wife and I went to Tangs last week, we ordered our meal and waited 30 minutes for the first coarse to arrive which was soup. The bottle of wine we ordered arrived and the waiter promptly filled both our glasses to the top leaving an inch in the bottle, I complained and we did recieve another bottle free. After another 45 minutes waiting for the rest of our meal to arrive I had to ask how much longer were we expected to wait?

This was a disgrace to Chinese cuisine! Ordered a take away of sui mai, hot & sour soup & roast duck. 10 minutes they said.... Right away I was worried as sui mai take 15 minutes to steam if cooked properly! Obviously the microwave was in play. The soup was ridiculously sweet & sickly. As for the roast duck... Shame on you Tangs for what was no more than 3 or 4 ounces of microwaved inedible meat. The only saviour here was the fried rice! Think my bill was £24! Overpriced & awful. Go somewhere else if you want good, fresh properly cooked Chinese food.

Excellent food, lovely staff, overall a fantastic evening, we were a large party (16 people) booked in advance.

Reading some recent reviews left me wondering whether we have visited the same restaurant!

This place used to be one of the best to eat in south Manchester when it was Wings. I’ve eaten here on and off for over 20 years including under the new management but today I walked out without paying for the first time in a restaurant in my life and believe me I’ve had some bad meals...

Eat here around once a month or so and the food is always excellent but the service is extremely slow. Last visited on Sunday and although they weren’t too busy the wait for food appalling despite the staff rushing around, I don’t think they have enough staff which is the cause of the problem

Came her for daughters birthday Friendly service as always Choice of food massive ! Food came out promptly and nice and fresh and hot. Highly recommended !!

We came here for a birthday celebration while staying in a local hotel. It was absolutely lovely, the food is delicious and the staff were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end of the meal as well. The crispy seaweed is amazing and the black bean chicken was divine.

I would come here more often if I could afford it but my standard Chinese order for two people here would end up being way over my £20 budget.

My husband and my friend have previously visited this restaurant but it was my first time. I have to eat gluten free foods and was pleased to see they provided a separate menu which was great. The only down side was the options on this menu were very bland and would of loved flavour and spice.

Visited here for the first time after our favourite Chinese restaurant has started to go down hill following a change of ownership. All food very tasty especially the crispy duck and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will certainly be returning

I have eaten here before and thought the food and service good, although a little expensive however we went on Mothers Day at 7pm and it was awful! They had more tables in than usual and it was just stupidly busy - I understand that being Mothers Day it would be busier however it was to the point they could not cope. We ordered after around 15 minutes, drinks came - all ok then we had the warm towels brought out with seaweed, waited 10 minutes, then prawn toast arrived, it was soggy in oil where it had been rushed and unpleasant, 10 minutes later samosas arrived,again soggy and full of oil, we wanted our starters altogether so when I asked about the rest I was snapped at about it being busy and the table next to us were still waiting after half a hour at least we had something! No acceptable, to we got up and left, we did explain to the manager who agreed with us, didn't apologize and just waved over a couple who were waiting for a table, so we actually did them a favour I think! We wont be going back sadly, Mothers Day is not about trying to make as much money as possible and if you cant cope with the amount of customers then don't book for that many! Simple!

We have been here twice once in December after Christmas and one In January we quite rarely go to Chinese restaurants but since coming here we are addicted! This is the nicest Chinese food we have ever had the first time it was just me and my husband the second time I brought my dad and he even said how amazing it was. So much food we had to bring some home. The dim sum was gorgeous the salt and peppa ribs were the best Iv ever had. The service was fantastic all the staff were so lovely. There is no bad points to say so please if you want and love Chinese food then go to tangs. Can’t wait to go again x

Visited with a couple of friends to start a night out. We enjoyed the food so much the night out was mostly spent at Tangs. Half a crispy duck is great value and really tasty. The Kung Po chicken is great too.

Booked table for 8;30 but did not get the table till 9;05. The restaurant was very busy and seemed to be overbooked. The food was very good and had no complaints from the four people in my party. Drinks at the time of getting our...

Tangs Cantonese reastrant Cheadle Hulme again last night. Fabulous standard yet again. I aimed for low Smartpoint® and planned my no meat Friday accordingly. I had Spicy Seafood soup for starter, King prawn with Chilli and Garlic with a side dish of mixed Chinese vegetables to replace the rice for mains. I’m saying a generous 17 Smartpoint® for the lot as I drank Diet Coke all night. So I kept to my daily points. See you soon Hou.

Oh dear, after being recommend we were very excited in trying this restaurant. But I am sorry to say but the food was not very good, no flavour, poor quality meat. Could not finish the spring rolls and the ribs were just fat. We could not finish any of it. Will not be going back.

Visited as a party of 10 of us. The food was excellent and the service was very good with friendly waiters and waitresses.

I live in Hale, Altrincham where we lost our favourite Man Zen Chinese a few years ago. So how pleased I was to discover this gem of a restaurant in Cheadle Hulme. It's a cosy establishment with several eight-seater round tables, ideal for group sharing. Superb cuisine. We settled for a great variety of steamed and fried dim sum - all beautifully prepared, fresh and tasty. Scallops in their shells to die for!!Followed that with crispy lamb and pancakes, forgoing any thoughts of main courses. All washed down with a few bottles of an excellent and moderately priced Malbec.The evening was made even better by the service. Waiter Steve, from mainland China, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. A return visit is certainly on the cards!!!

Located on a small parade next to a M&S Simply Food in Cheadle Hulme. Possibly the best Chinese cuisine in South Manchester. What makes the whole experience enjoyable is that the food is excellent and the service team are very professional and you can witness how fast they move. Car park at rear. Ignore Welcome awning at the back of restaurant. Entrance only at the front. Husband and wife owned and managed. Lovely people. When making a reservation (which is advisable) they asked if it was a special occasion. Nice touch and thoughtful. Been a couple of times never disappointed.

We're regular visitors to Tang's and we haven't had a single bad experience. The food is always fantastic and the staff are wonderful. Waiting times can be a little long purely because it is always so busy, but it is always worth it!

Tangs is a vibrant and really friendly restaurant. Their service is excellent and very friendly. You are made to feel very welcome which is always nice.For me, their starters including the duck and pancakes are the best. I will certainly be back to Tangs.#tayloredbyus

Been here many times but never reviewed before. Our favourite Chinese restaurant by a mile. Great choice of delicious fresh food, served hot. We particularly like sweet & sour chicken, beef green pepper & blackbean sauce, the sizzling steak dishes, but everything we have ordered has been super. Staff friendly & efficient.Very popular restaurant, so recommend booking, particularly at weekends. We're getting on a bit now, but Tangs is how we remember Chinese restaurants used to be 30 & 40 years ago before a lot of them (& Indian ) went downhill. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. We arrived for 6pm. and there were already a number of tables taken. We were met by a friendly gentleman who seated us and took our drinks orders.The menu is extensive and alot to choose from, so we tried to have as much selection as we could (I ended up taking my main home I was so full) The first was prompt, fresh and hot, the service was second to none and it's clear there are alot of regular returning customers.We will definately be visiting again

I am a member of Bramhall U3a and a large group of us go out to dinner once a month. It is usually a different restaurant and tonight we went to Tangs in Cheadle Hulme. We had a really lovely Chinese banquet served by friendly, amusing and efficient staff. We all said we would definitely come again soon.

I have been here a few times now after a recommendation from a friend. The service is first class, I believe family run and always welcoming.They offer great advice on nut allergies on what I am safe to eat and what to avoid.The food is some of the best chinese I have ever had.We will visit again soon.....

My Dad who is in his 80s loves Chinese food and I took him to Tangs which I had never visited before all though I must have passed it hundreds of times! The food was delicious and the staff were really lovely I got the impression it was a family business.My Dad hasn't stopped talking about the food.since.. I tried to get a table for this evening but unfortunately they were fully booked at the times we were able to go.So my recommendation would be to book especially at the weekend.

Visited here to order some food for a take away. It was a Saturday night so some allowance has to be made. But the tiny reception was to small even for the few people ordering or waiting. Made worse by the staff constantly trying to squeeze past you. Ordered two takeaway meals and was told ready in around 45mins. Not a problem as could see they were busy. Once recieved and taken home, one of the meals, the Chicken with Lemon sauce had no sauce. May just be me, but I like certain food to have plenty of Wet..! Dry chicken pieces with dry fried rice is not a good combination. Topped with being a good £2 more expensive than our usual Chinese this was a lesson learnt and won't be returning. Sorry.

Last visited 6 months ago. Booked a table for 10 for a birthday celebration. Ordered the most expensive banquet. The food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone including a member of our party who prefers English food and who remarked there was nothing he did not like. Service good despite it being a busy Friday evening. There were several parties holding birthday celebrations. Will be back soon. Recommended.

We visited Tangs again early on a Saturday evening and managed to get a table for two next to the Fish Tank. The service was excellent and the food very tasty and enjoyable. Although we could see they were extremely busy with Takeaways this did not detract from the attentive service. We would highly recommend this Restaurant and the staff are very pleasant.

Have been several times before. Booking for a Saturday night although we said we would not go on a Saturday night as in the past as they seem to concentrate on the takeaway business, We booked a table for 2 and when we arrived we were shown to a table in a passageway away from the main restaurant. The owner was walking around with a mobile phone taking takeaway orders. More interested in them then us, We have eaten here before and the food has been good however we decided to leave.Shame they are not interested in bookings of 2,

We were in need of some food after a long day travelling into Stockport. We searched out places to eat and just liked the look of this place. It was really lovely - friendly service, great tasting food. Shame we are not in the area to go back again soon!

I went here with my family for my birthday. They couldn't do enough for you. The food and service were second to none. So much so were there again this Saturday to celebrate our sons 18th birthday. Thanks again guys and see you Saturday.

Booked a table for 4 to celebrate 2 wedding anniversarys. Ordered banquets which gave the option for smaller parties to alter the mains to anything on the menu. The food was great with pleasant friendly service. Not the cheapest but nevertheless good value. All our party thought this to be the best Chinese restaurant they had visited in the Stockport area. Recommended.

We visited this nice Chinese restarant in Cheadle.Very friendly staff.Excellent choice of authentic Chinese dishes,Aromatic dick was good bit over done but very tasty. Vegetarian rap was equally good.Best part is service with a smile.We were bit late but they did not rush us.Allowed for no cue hot meal.Would recommend a visit.Good price.

I regularly get take away here. It's the best Chinese I've ever had. However, the salt and pepper chips could be better, are sometimes a little soggy and not always crispy. The salt and pepper chicken wings are very good, as are all other dishes I've had. I've not been and dined inside ever, just got the take away. They are very busy sometimes at weekends so make sure to book, or to ring up early if having take out as it can take up to an hour to prepare sometimes. If you're sat in waiting, they'll give you free crackers which is a nice touch.

Not been in this restaurant since it changed to Tang's from Wing's. I can honestly say I can't remember having a better Chinese. Food, Service, Price. Fantastic

I should of reviewed Tangs a long time ago been coming here for years. Brilliant staff and amazing food. Best Chinese in Stockport. Always fresh and never over salty or gloopy.

Love Chinese food and have been here several times. Has improved a lot and the décor has been recently updated too. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great menu variety and staff are very accommodating if you need to slightly alter a particular dish.

Last minute booking mid evening. Quarter duck, whole filled chillies with prawn meat superb, mains very good too although the fillet steak and king prawn dishes are a touch on the pricey side. This place has such a vast array of dishes and not just the normal ones you get at most places. Very good service and recommended.

Came here with my friend the other day we have been here quite a few times and we have now been since they did it up and it's so much better now, the food is very good and very tasty I had chicken balls with sweet chilli dip my friend had salt and pepper chicken wings for our main I had crispy beef in ok sauce and my friend had chilli chicken and a side of egg fried rice and chips at the end of your meal they give you complimentary fruit which is nice. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you, you even have a romote on your table for service, your bill and if you press it by accident you can delete the call. It's a bit expensive but a must visit if you are in Cheadle Hume.

Excellent food and service. Friendly staff always make you feel welcome. Plenty to choose from the menu not the cheapest but the food is worth it.

Every time we walk into this restraunt we are always created with a happy smiling face that makes us feel welcome and relaxed! The service is quick and helpful and food is to die for! My favourite CHINESE restraunt around! I would never go anywhere else!

A Saturday night and the place was packed. Had to stand in the small space near the bar until our table was ready, but we were offered drinks and these were dispensed immediately - even though you could see that the staff were run off their feet. Food great, but it was the staff that made the evening so enjoyable. Attentive, smiling, and they were even good at singing (during a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for myself!) Not been here for years, but will certainly be coming back. Best night out we've had in ages. Recommended.

Tangs is always a great overall experience for our family. The food is delicious and the staff are very obliging. The service is good- suitable breaks between courses. We are also really impressed with the outcome of the recent renovations and will continue to dine here in the future.

Had a lovely evening with friends here last week.The food was delicious and the service was very good.We ordered a banquet everything was very tasty just too much for 3 ladies!We will definitely return and would recommend it if you enjoy good Chinese food.

Came here on a weekday to meet up with longstanding friends. Have been before when it was Wings and like the way they have redesigned the room with booths in the middle.The main courses we ordered were good but cooling by the time the rice appeared.Service seemed rather disjointed.We had a round table in a booth and had a lovely evening. Parking at the back is a plus point as well.

Haven't been to Tangs for a considerable while but returned to find it refurbished to a high standard. Food was excellent with nothing being too much trouble for them. Service is very friendly and efficient. The owners (Ho and Amy) are always present and available and take pride in everything that is served. Restaurant was nicely busy. Takeaway service is also great. One of the nicest restaurants in the area.

At new year we went as a group on the early sitting , it was really busy eat in and already people queuing for takeaway. We had a set menu which was varied but over priced and although the food was tasty there was not enough for the group. We were disappointed and many left still Hungry for what we spent as a group. If we had bought a takeaway I am sure we would not have been able to finish it. This place gets good reviews and is busy but on this occasion too busy to deliver quality.

Went second week after xmas and it was packed, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Good size portions. Service a bit slow, but probably because it was packed. Tip - don't allow them to give you the table by the fishtank and the bar, its small and annoying. That all being said, the food was good and we'll be going again to eat in and take out
