Asked for delivery. Garlic naan got delivered super cold, thick and doughy, and hard. Also didn't taste good. Chicken tikka masala was too mild, almost tasted like butter chicken. Paneer butter masala was good.

Delicious Food My favourite is biriyani

I recently tried the Chicken Biryani at, and it was absolutely fantastic! The flavors were on point, the chicken was tender, and the spices were just right. I couldn’t have asked for a better biryani. Highly recommended!

The chicken biryani had perfectly cooked rice that was fluffy and separated easily. The chicken was tender, although a few pieces were slightly overcooked. Overall, the texture of the chicken biryani was satisfying.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the chicken biryani at Tangastey and it was an absolute delight! The aroma alone had my taste buds tingling with anticipation. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the rice was fragrant and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend giving Tangastey a visit. You won't be disappointed!

It's my birthday today and I spend my dinnertime in this restaurant. Kizhi porotta is very delicious their way of their treating is very good.

I want to share onam sadya experience. It's the very bad. Rice is not well cooked, all the curries give very less quantity.

Visited the restaurant for the first time and had a very bad experience when I entered into no one was there to welcome then i took the seat by myself and was waiting for someone to get the menu for more than 5 mins but nobody is there to give then I took by myself from the counter top .I ordered a portion of mutter paneer with garlic naan with a drink mojito,it took almost 25mins to get into the table,taste wise food was good and then I ordered a portion of chappthi and I was waiting for 15 mins to get a portion of chapthi the restaurant was also not busy at all. finally i got frustrated and cancelled the portion of chappthi and left the restaurant..the way of customer handling is very poor

Nice place. It was a blessing to have this restaurant open till late, and the food & service was great. The kitchen closes at 11:30pm. We ordered chicken bucket biryani and prawn bucket biryani. The only difference is the meat mixed in the rice. Toppings are the same. It was delicious. Needed more raita than what they initially offered, so asked for more. Do mention your chilli preference to get the right strength of spiciness.

Was in Leicester for the British Chess Championship. Discovered this lovely place; the food felt like home cooking; not oily, tasty, the biriyani was flavourful, the chicken curry had a hint of fresh curry leaves, the chilly chicken was tangy -- everything was freshly cooked. All in all, a wonderful place, served by a very friendly lady. We went twice in four days!

Excellent taste and mouth watering recipes with extraordinary customer service.

The staff was very friendly, i got fries and some chicken dish. The chicken dish was just not nice. It just was not as nice as we thought, it was our first time. But personally i would not go back. But the prices was very good, we spent 35 for 3 of us, but overalls was not very enjoyable.

First visit based on recommendations. We tried lamb biriyani, bucket biriyani, chicken tikka and prawn masala. The Lamb biriyani was absolute star🤩. I had tried biriyani from numerous different places but this was the best amongst them. Prawns masala and chicken tikka tasted authentic with the perfect blend of spices. Overall: Excellent customer service and super delicious food with good portion size. This is a must try place in Leicester! Will definitely visit when back in this area😊

One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. Recently had Chatti choru as part of their weekly special meal and it was the most authentic-tasting Indian food I had so far in the UK. We can feel that lots of effort and care have been put to prepare each food. Highly recommend.

I bought biriyani, Paratha and fish curry from uber eats yesterday. The biriyani was average but the fish curry was not fish curry, it was onion curry. It tasted bland.

Best option for a mallu missing home food. I tried the Chatti choru and it took me right back to kerala, spice level suitable for a South Indian with a perfect blend of seasoning and flavour. Keep in mind food does take a few mins but all freshly made. Extra shout out to Jomon who was brilliant and gave us a lovely experience.

Ordered tonight but was really disappointed by the experience. My Chicken Tika was really poor quality. I had x6 small bits of chicken that was more skin than chicken which was chewy & off putting. I ended up having to separate the chicken from the sauce & rice. The onion barges are the worst I ever had in my life! Literally small pieces of shredded onion cooked in a batter & spice. (Just bits) Not a proper onion barge! The samosas were broken!(poor presentation) I eat x1 & it tasted okay but the presentation put me off. Naan bread was fine. The only thing that I can give x5 stars 🌟 is the Lamb Biriani. Overall I'm gutted & still hungry & now I have wasted my money 💰 I can't recommend this food on this experience. Next time I will stick with Alyston Spice as their food is always top notch! Sorry Tangastey but this is unacceptable food that you served us tonight & feels like it was cooked without any pride whatsoever!! It was offensive & we won't be coming back. I wanted to give x1 star overall review 🌟 but as the Lamb Biriani was x5 stars I reluctantly gave x2 stars 🌟 overall 😔

Tried chattichor, it was really tasty. The customer service was amazing. They were really accommodative of all the changes I asked.

Me and my wife visit this place quite regularly. The food is lovely, delicious and fresh. The staff, especially Febin is so welcoming and takes care of our requirements. We checked if they do any Gobi dishes but turned out Gobi wasn’t in their menu. But they specially prepared Gobi 65 for us and it was so delicious. A big thank you for considering customer needs and making them happy. We have tried almost all the items in their menu and turns out to be amazing. I would highly recommend this place.

The food here was amazing and delivered a very homely taste and would definitely recommend it. We were served by Vrinda and felt very welcomed. Also, they do serve special dishes on Saturdays so do look out for them👍🏻👍🏻

As a student who crave for homely food Tangastey is my go-to place for CHATTICHOR (kerala meal). They also serve LUNCH MEALS (chicken,lamb&veg) for £4.99 which is very affordable. Also their CHICKEN BIRIYANI is good to go with MASALA CHICKEN FRY. I highly recommend this place for Indian cuisine fans.

Edit as at 21/01/2023 So last night was our third visit after two excellent first goes. Unfortunately it seems as thought they have already starting cutting corners, as I was expecting would happen. Firstly, the food was VERY slow. We waited over 20 minutes between courses. I know it's all cooked fresh but it's not great. Second, we were served 'off' yoghurt. They claim it tasted that way because it had salt added. Mmm I don't know. Third, we were charged for paratha with our curry. On our previous two visits, we were offered Chapatti or paratha. One visit we had both. When questioned why this was, we were told it was because they were previously out of stock of Chapatti (which should be made fresh....and which we had as well....sooo....) The curry also was not as nice as previous occasions and less meaty. The starters were still delicious but the portion size of chicken has halfed. It seems as though they may have made an extra special effort to impress when opening to boost reviews, and then cut corners after. Such a shame as this was our favourite place. A very welcome new addition to London Road, absolutely stunning curry and biryani tonight from this unassuming gem. We thought we were getting "fast food" but what we got was casual cuisine. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. They have only recently opened so they are working on the interior but honestly it's pretty, cosy and warm and the service is familiar and friendly. Thanks guys. Much appreciated!

Located in Leicester ,just a minutes walk from Leicester railway station. Food was amazing, Indian food, Some southern Indian food as well. I liked the kerala paratha with chicken curry., lovely flavour and spiced Service was awesome and friendly staff. Restaurant was decorative in modern style. See you again soon.

Great traditional South-Indian food! One of the best in Leicester!! Ordered the lamb madras, samosa chaat (best one)and kerala parotha. One of the best experiences I've had exploring the taste from my native land. Must try the porotta and a curry of your choice! Authentic with the most crispiest layered savory to it. I tried Madrasi Lamb Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala and they were so good. Would recommend 100%

Having been to many different Indian restaurants here in Leicester (god knows there’s plenty). I have to admit that this is by far the best one I’ve tried Recommend trying the lamb biryani here as I did. The lamb was fragrant, juicy and was soft enough to melt in your mouth. Warm service with a friendly smile. I’ll definitely be coming back
