Guru Nanak Sweet Centre in Leicester

Not much to say about "atmosphere" as it was empty. The food however was amazing. Vegetable samosas freshly made were delicious. Highly recommend to try.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Guru Nanak's Sweet Centre, and I must say it was an amazing experience. The restaurant is exceptionally clean, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. As for the food, it was nothing short of delicious. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, transporting me straight to Punjab. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food was truly commendable. I would highly recommend Guru Nanak's Sweet Centre to anyone looking for a taste of Punjab in a clean and welcoming environment.

Delicious food, especially makkai ki roti and saag

Great food. Ordered mithai for a wedding. All boxed up and ready for pick up. Not happy that the card machine was "not working" so had to go and get cash. As a result of 3 attempts in the shop, my card was frozen!

Under new management so thought would try their papdri chat. Looked lovely - although no green/mint chutney. Disappoinent though was that papdri was stale.

Amazing and delicious food! The service is so impeccable, especially since new management took over. If you’re looking for authentic Punjabi food, this is where you need to go!

We had a recent visit to Leicester and we came across this incredible shop. The food was exceptional, with a standout pani puri and mango lassi and even Alsi Pinni (Flaxseed Laddo) available. The overall experience left a lasting impression, and we highly recommend this shop to those seeking extraordinary culinary delights.

Ownership changed in April 2022. The old owners are not there at all, just incase you are told that they are still working there. They are not.

This place has had a change of ownership, though the new owners assured that the same recipes were kept, I beg to differ! The parathas were thick and not thin like they used to be! The yoghurt quality has been changed too! The jalebi’s use to be the best in Leicester but not now! The texture was dry and not syrupy at all!

I recently went their for lunch. I ordered a samosa chaat, which is a samosa covered in chickpeas, onion, sauce and yoghurt. I must say it was delicious, enchanting and simply amazing. I would definitely reccommend going their if you want a true taste of Punjab!.

Ur new retail boy is very good and and work like a professional and his nature is very good and ur food is amazing its pure taste of punjab i like it and vist again and agian.

Very friendly service from the chap who helped with order on the phone and when we collected. Food was lovely and traditional. 4 stars as it was a bit spicy but nothing that cant be changed next time we order. Drove all the way from Kettering. Would order again.

Really tasty vegetable pakoras, sweet sugar drenched sakar pada and orange ghatia sticks were delightfully crunchy and spicy! Thank you for a lovely Tuesday treat, I will definitely return when I happen to be shopping on at saviours road again!

Good quality punjabi sweets at very good prices. Also excellent hot food made to order, every thing you need all under one roof.

Great food all round. Dhaal, Saag and all the parathas are amazing.

Bought GolGappe for £4 and found out later that they were stale and the best before date sticker was taken off. Asked for Moli paranta but this had potato in it. Disappointed by the dishonesty. Won't be going there again.
