Ordered for delivery for the evening. Were informed delivery was 30/40 mins after an hour were told again would be 15 mins after an hour and a half “ food was on it way “ two hours later they cancelled our order and refused to answer our calls with no explanation we thenhad to claim our refund as it didn’t go through automatically and still showed on our account as taken.

Ordered takeaway via uber and waited 1 hour 45 minutes then they cancelled the order without explanation and don't pick up their phone, avoid!!! Shocking service

they never understand the customers point of view this take-away is quickly going down hill, after many months of thinking they would change the size quality and delvery speed of its service. it has not changed i have tried to understand both sides from order to delivery person to the one whom eats it, sad to say they do not care, tonight 15dec order 45mins from email to confirm, arrives 35mins after the order time called twice to ask where answer is always were very busy, luke warm food and false promises and i live within 2.5 miles shame but i will no longer waste my time ot money in the restaurant or order on line

Excellent service and great food a real proper Indian restaurant, I had a take away from there and the madras and rice were superb

Food was delivered cold and late my other half has been I’ll all day with diarrhoea she’s been in agony all day

Ordered A meal over the phone for a Delivery. Great hot and quick as they told me a rough time. I ordered a Meat Madras with Bombay Sag. I phoned to ask why there was more potatoes in my may Madras as there was meat ? "Thats correct, Meat madras Always has potatoes as well as meat in that dish. If you do not know what you are ordering do not waste our time complaining". "That was the Attuited of the chef they past the phone over too". Never again would I use them. I have been eating Indian, from the East End , Essex & Suffolk since I was 18. Now over 60.

Gad a lovely meal tonight, delivered promptly. Lamb korai lamb soooo tender, free pots of dips, again, lovely meal, every week I try some thing different, and always, it's cooked Perfect. Well done

I wouldn’t normally put a bad review but after ordering online, requesting numerous updates and calling. To be waiting Over 2 hours for our food for it just to be delivered cold and soggy…won’t be ordering from here again

Phoned up ordered a delivery, there other phoned started ringing, so the fella answered it and kept me waiting whilst he took the order, then came back on the phone to me and asked for my order again, the order took over an hour to turn up, part of the order was missing, I rang up and told them what was missing , but the idiot on the phone kept telling me I hadn’t ordered it , I ended up having an argument with him, to which it was quite clear he was racist, And to top it off the food is terrible, stay well clear of this place

I ordered online and was quoted 18:50-19:10 but at 19:25 still no food so rung up and was told it would be another 15 minutes! Eventually got our meals at 0755 , Now iv read the reviews about the food taking a long time and sometimes not arriving at all but I also appreciate this was a Saturday night and sometimes you have to have some patience and understand this isn’t an exact science but an hour late it too much. It’s a shame because the food wasn’t bad but very much let down by the service.

Ordered a dhansak ans a bhuna. Naans and the most horrible onion bajee I have ever seen in my life. THANKYOU TANDOORI NIGHTS FOR THE..biggest laugh that my wife and I had had this week. Curries made from the same sauce. Universal job. Nice rice but tasteless. And soggy onion bajees. The worst yet. BUT...if you pay pennies for catering staff..you may well get these results. We ..had beans on toast after. Please do take me off your e mail list. Good luck guys.

Have ordered a fair amount of times and has been great, have previously given a 5 star review. Today however I was shocked at what I received.The kids had the most greasy chicken nuggets and stale tasting chips I’ve ever known. Absolutely gross. Some where black like been re-fryed multiple times.The naan breads where still like raw dough and soggy, also gross. My prawn “Ceylon” was not as it should be. Was mild when is meant to be a hotter dish, bland, watery and greasy. The meal was truly terrible.I phoned up and they did not offer to replace the meal, and to be honest with 90 min wait I would not of had the time. Left me feeling sick.The chef offered me 15 percent of next order which i said was not good enough. He increased that to 50 percent off but that the offer Uber eats are running anyway! The staff were apologetic but unfortunately that does not rectify the issue and disappointment of a exceptionally bad meal. I will now avoid and go back to the British raj now.

I phoned a takeaway for collection was told 1 hour 15 mins after 1.5 hours I phoned then told me it will be another 25 minutes. They don't even let you know about running late so I cancelled. Wont be ordering from them again.

Absolutely terrible! Placed our order at 5.05pm with an estimate of delivery at 6.15pm. At 6.30pm called up & were told it will be half an hour. At 7.15pm called up and got told it’s about to leave. After complaining about the wait we have had I asked to speak to someone about reducing the bill & was told there is no manager just the chef. I asked when it will be here and he asked the chef again and said it should be ready in about 20 minutes... 7.35pm!! Told them not to bother. Disgusting service Ruined our New Year’s Eve.

Have ordered two weekends in a row as the food is so good. I recommend the lamb danshak and the cheese keema naan is a meal on its own.The delivery is alway prompt in my experience and the food quality is exceptional. Very surprised to see a few negative comments as I have just not experienced anything other then top notch food and service.Thanks guys and I will be ordering again n the new year

Ordered food with an estimate of 30 minutes, they confirmed it would be an hour so called to cancel when they then told me it would be with me in 20 minutes but I need to pay a delivery fee that I had already paid. When it finally turned up it was pretty horrible, everything was cold and tasted like the end of the nights food it was all hard and cold. We ended up putting in the bin and ordering from dominos.

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered and then was told it would be another half an hour on top of the already slow delivery. Called up to discuss this and the said it would be here 15-20 mins. 30Mins later the slop arrives. Cold, hard and inedible! No flavour to any dish at all and overall rancid. Will never be ordering again, will stick to the best around; Star of India in Frinton!

Ordered food at 17.40 was told it would be delivered within the hour. Phoned them back after an hour and half to be told would be leaving in next 5 minutes. Eventually food turns up with half the order missing,8pm and still waiting for rest of order. Get your act together Tandoori nights,because your food is excellent but you have lost my custom through your poor service. And you will more than likely lose more customers.

Ordered and paid online. Decided to collect as we were hungry. Picked up order, got home no rice, phoned and asked for fresh order to be cooked as by the time we picked up and got home original would be cold. No problem and was given free bottle of drink. Food was very nice and tasty.

Last night was the 2nd time I’ve ordered from tandoori nights. Both times the food was faultless. Came on time, piping hot and with extra popadoms. The starters where very tasty but my main was just superb, lamb dhansak. The lamb so tender and cooked perfectly and the sauce full of flavour just as it should be. My partner really enjoyed her chicken tikka masala too, I tried a bit and it was so good and Just the right consistency. My cheesy keema naan bread was full of meat and very generous on cheese. The was meal was just perfection. Very easy to communicate with when ordering on the phone, I prefer this to using just eat. It worth pointing out also that both times they left the food on doorstep and rang the bell and waited to ensure i took the delivery. Followed social distancing guidance.I could eat there food everyday. I hope the chef reads this review as he seems to be very good at his craft. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food and I will now not go anywhere else.I recommend to try!!!

ordered at 515 on saturday they said it would be here by 645 745 still witing called them 3 times its on its way its on its way i dont think so ive got to get up for work it dont take 2 hours for delivery get a life

Had a really bad experience 6 weeks ago but was called back and told the manager had been sacked so foolishly thought we would try again. What a big mistake!Last night we ordered at 6.25 and told delivery would be 1h 10mins. After 1h 30mins I called to be told it would be another half hour. After 45 mins I called back to be told it still wasn't ready and would be with us at 9.15. When the food arrived at 9.30 the meat was very dry and sauce was watery - not good at all. We called to say we wasn't happy to be spoken over by the manager. He was extremely rude, and wouldnt except that the food wasn't any good. Must say it was awful customer service. Will never use again!

Rang up for delivery which they said 1hour 20 mins. So 2 hours later I call, they say sorry gunna be another 30 mins as they are busy .Delivery turns up 2 hours 30 mins with a missing curry, so then I waited another 30mins for my curry to arrive a total of 3 hours of waiting.Apart from that food was great.

The lack of actual meat in the curry sauces was disgraceful and made this meal very expensive. 12 hours after eating it we both came down with food poisoning making me think the food was not heated through enough or was poorly prepared. Will not use again

We ordered the seat meal last night (£24.95) it’s the 4th time we have had it & never had a problem. We swapped the Jalfrezi for Madras which was met with no problem or surcharges.

We ordered a takeaway on a Thurs night.We had onion bahjis, pilau rice, chilli and garlic rice, samosa, plain naan, peshwari naan, butter chicken and lamb tikka naga bhuna.The bahjis were a bit stodgy and lacking in flavour.The samosa were ok as were the naan breads.The chilli and garlic rice was nice - very chilli, but the pliau was lacking in flavour.The bhuna was delicious, however, it had about 1cm of oil floating on the top when it arrived - after pouring that off, my husband enjoyed the curry.The butter chicken wasn't up to scratch though. It was a strange, sickly, pink colour and was extremely sweet with coconut to the point that it actually became sickly. It wasn't like any butter chicken I have had before.

Waited nearly 2 hours for meal and when it did finally turn up some of order was missing and curry was just a container of oil! Phoned up to complain about it and was sent out curry which was in just the same discusting state! Didnt even attempt to eat! Not worth a 20 minute wait let alone a 2 hour one! Beans on toast for dinner and will not be ordering again from there.

excellent curries, really tasty sundries and a great choice. Service great - quick to answer, fast delivery and food is hot on arrival. Would recommend.

Heaven in the form of a takeaway. The owners are the same ones who ran Chutney's restaurant and we were devastated when they closed because no other Indian compares. I was over the moon to discover the food from Tandoori Nights has remained the same, just a shame there's no restaurant as the staff are lovely and give it that special touch.

I’ve used this takeaway before a few months back and it was very nice but I ordered a takeaway from there last night and what arrived was just a load of slop. The chicken was so finely cut it was very hard to find in the tasteless sloppy sauce. The tandoori mixed grill was dry and over cooked. The side dishes were more like tasteless sloppy soup. The whole meal cost me £40 and ended up in the bin. Avoid this place at all cost.

Had a menu though my door a while back and normally go elsewhere for my takeaways but thought I would give this place a go, I have only marked it down to four stars due to the price being higher than else where but the food was great! The best Indian food I have had in a very long time if not ever, I will use this one in future and I can not recommend it highly enough.

I’ve never had a bad experience when ordering from Tandoori Nights. Sometimes the food can take a little while to get to you, but that just proves how popular they are. The food really is delicious and I highly recommend ordering.
