I went here with my kids and was served cold coffee that was already flat. The manager livia was very dismissive when asking her to make me a new drink she said that “it’s too busy” although I was happy to wait. I saw them bringing out the pastel de natas on a tray and I snarky new they weren’t baked fresh they are frozen like everything else. A homeless man came into store and the manager advised one of the colleagues on shift to not give him any coffee or left over food they might have but continued to give a customer named Michael a free latte. They don’t ask if the food and coffee is okay they just expect you to tell them. I’ve heard so many good reviews but not everything is as it seems.

Have been going to Tamp for 5 years +, and so have spent literally £000s there. Am mask exempt. Was aggressively informed today by the owner, in front of staff & customers, that I cannot enter without a mask, even though I'm mask exempt...Won't be going again. Have not had this experience anywhere else so was unpleasantly surprised to say the least. Interesting approach to customer loyalty.

I used to visit Tamp a lot until recently. Coffee is always great (aside from the Chai Latte which I would not recommend) and everyone there is friendly and polite. However, I recently had a green smoothie and it was probably the worst I've ever had. It was completely white, with lots of bits floating in the drink and not much flavour. I find food fairly overpriced too and more annoyingly, they now don't allow customers to use their laptops during the weekends. My partner and I went there last Saturday and had to leave. I feel that this is the most disappointing part of it as I regularly visited Tamp when working from home, but have now decided to visit other independent cafes in Chiswick such as Chief where laptops are allowed.

A friend and I visited Tamp for scrambled eggs and a drink at lunchtime. The cafe was extremely quiet and we chose an outside table. We attracted the attention of the waitress and asked if we could put in our order. She told us in a bored and insolent manner that all orders had to be taken inside the cafe. I then went inside - to be greeted by her again and put in the order. Without acknowledging the order she just asked me to pay without making eye contact. Bottles of water were brought out and after half an hour without the one order of scrambled egg my friend went back inside to chase it up. The waitress told her that they were extremely busy in the cafe and there was only one cook in the cafe. It was 1pm and the cafe was very very quiet. Suddenly a man in a woolly hat dashed outside and asked what the problem was. I explained to him that we were not impressed with the service and that we had been waiting a very long time for a simple order. He then proceeded to tell us in a loud and threatening manner how difficult his job was and that he found us rude and difficult. At that moment the scrambled eggs arrived. It was in fact an omelette on bread. He then told us that we should go elsewhere to eat and that he knew exactly what type of people we were. His manner was rude, loud and threatening in the extreme. Clearly things not good in the cafe and he was at the end of his tether and thought it OK to take it out on his customers. He then stormed back inside. I then got my mobile phone out and he laughably stormed out yet again and said 'If you're writing a bad review then I suggest you get a life".

A great coffee fix for whenever you need it! Tamp is a regular drop in for the caffeine boost/top up as well as supply of delicious beans for home brews. The empanadas are a family favourite but being gluten free I was delighted when they introduced the g-f banana bread (not always in but try it if you can) as well as now having g-f bread for meal options. It’s a very family and doggie friendly place to just while a way a bit of time working or switching off.

Ordered coffee and it arrived warm. Asked for it to be reheated, which they did, but still hot enough. No apology, just a robotic acknowledgment. Lovely place, but all of the employees seemed wholly disinterested in their jobs and their customers, and not even a goodbye as we left. Substandard all round.

Place looks ok, but the service is very bad and food was not great. Ordered poached eggs and waited around half an hour to get them, and received too overcooked eggs. Had to wait another 20 mins for new ones, only slightly better. In the meantime, nobody even apologised for the wait or for getting two hard boiled eggs instead of poached ones. And it was not even busy at all! Plenty of places around Chiswick that offer better service and food (and cheaper).

This is not my first time here. I’ve now become a regular. Their coffee is second to none. Always on the machine is specialty coffee which means they take care of not only taste but provenance. Try their flat white and you won’t be disappointed. And now for the food.... I come back and back again for their world class empanadas. They have now started an additional new menu with plenty of vegetarian options. I may have to move in now. :-)

My first Tripadvisor review. Not something I would normally do. But having had a beautiful coffee (usually a stumpy, not dissimilar to a cortado) here almost every morning since the place opened in 2014, I thought I'd say thanks with a review. Not all coffee is created equal. There's the likes of Starbucks and Nero. Not my cup of tea (or coffee!) Then there is the top league. And in my opinion, Tamp is a leader in that top league, up there with the likes of Monmouth, Union, Grind, Workshop. I've only eaten in Tamp on half a dozen occasions, but it's always been delicious. Fresh and tasty. (I just like my muesli too much first thing in the morning.) Last thing, but important for me and Pip ... they're dog friendly.

A single pint on a quiet Thursday afternoon when most people are working is not the best time to assess a pub. It seems rather run down but as I walked around the pub I see it's a live music pub with a good sized stage so the retro 70s look feels appropriate. There's a good selection of beer and the bar staff were friendly and efficient. I look forward to coming here on a live music night and anticipate posting an improved score.
