Tam Vietnamese Kitchen in Lambeth

Servicio amable y comida fantástica. Cada bocado del plato de entrada era delicioso, también pedimos el pollo satay para empezar, que probablemente era un poco mucho, pero tan bueno. Tuvieron una variada elección para la red eléctrica, y cayeron en una tormenta también. ¡Qué gran hallazgo, sin duda volveremos!

We have been living south London for a while but we were struggling to find the good local Vietnamese restaurant until NOW! I ordered Beef pho, delicious! My son had a crispy pork and rice, delicious! and My husband had a Bun cha, DELICIOUS! (also deep fried squid for starter, fantastic) We were so glad finally found a good restaurant not too far from us. We will be coming back definitely soon. Thank you so much.

Twenty over 55s visited the restaurant last Tuesday lunchtime to savour Vietnamese cuisine. We were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome, tables were suitably organised so that we sat together in 2 groups of 10. Our menu choices were sent prior to our visit so that the dishes came through smoothly with very little waiting time in between. A variety of hot and cold drinks are on tap so that there were few pauses or opportunity for boredom and complaint. Requests were nicely tended too and nothing was too much for the two staff on duty.. Portions were generous, with a good balance of meat and fish proteins not overly spicy as well as a variety of specialty vegetables and regular noodles and rice which was nicely cooked and not stodgy. Definitely recommend if you are on a healthy eating kick, lots of opportunities to eat well but not feel bloated or heavy after a meal. Thank you Chi Nguyen and your staff.

Been here many times, food always tasty. Staff are nice. If you want good quality and good value Asian food, Tam is the place! 👍🏼Dripping coffee is a must too. Highly recommended if you are looking for delicious Asian food fix in South London.

I recently moved to the area and have visited Tam 5 times already. Highly recommend! Authentic yummy Vietnamese food, lovely staff and very reasonably priced.

Amazing food, friendly service. They even accommodate my cheeky request to change the traditional ingredients in my favourite dish. Fantastic value, and did I mention, THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Eat in if you can. I love this place.

Discovered this pleasant very clean and very welcoming place last evening. Outside inviting and a really good member of staff with a warm welcome. Simple decor and an enticing menu of traditional Vietnamese food. It was quiet but the food was delivered expediently and was very very fresh tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. And exceptional value. Top marks for this place. The only minor disappointment was that the Vietnamese rolls which were really fresh did lack enough prawns. But I was very very happy overall.

Had the best tasting Chicken Cashew with veg and rice and Beef Pho, took me back to my travels in Vietnam. I would like to see “Bun Cha” on the menu but apart from that I’m looking forward to trying more of the current menu.

The food is gorgeous and fresh, the wine is not expensive, the staff are charming. Frankly, I don't know why Tam doesn't have a queue out the door every night - it should! I've had most things on the menu and nothing has ever disappointed. More than a few things have exceeded expectations. Go to Tam if you're in Streatham. Hell, travel to Steatham to go to Tam. It's worth it.

One of the saddest times of last year was when my favourite local restaurants in London, Tam's closed and moved to Streatham. If you're looking at this place STOP searching for others. We have lived in London ten years, been to loads of places in Shoreditch and Hoxton and nothing compares to Tam's. It is the BEST. There is no generic chinese/asian type foods here. Everything I have had is so fresh and tasty. I wish I could try other things in the menu but I cannot as the few dishes I have had are so tasty that I cannot bring myself to order something else. My tops dishes: Vermicelli noodle salad (the lemon grass very tasty), caramelised pork belly and egg (I know!!), salt, garlic and chilli squid, and any noodle dishes. Streatham is a lovely place, but Tam's has made Streatham unmissable - I always get a Tam's when I am passing through.

I'm super picky about my food restaurants having worked in food industry for years plus lives in various parts of Asia. This place is amazing. It's really authentic and fresh. It has a comfortable but fresh feel and it works if you are a sole or group diner. The food is beautiful. The staff are kind. Could not recommend enough. Plus!... really affordable

Delicious Summer Rolls and salt and pepper squid to start and then spicy seafood pho.....all absolutley delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Lovely young staff. We will be back.
