We have to buy in bulk, and transport talerddig sausage rools over 300 miles for our daughter, that tells you everything you need to know. Lovely bread too

We had our dog with us, so sat outside, there were two tables with chairs outside. My husband went in to order our lunch. I decided to have a ham salad. It was priced at £3.75 for the salad and 50p for the ham and I got a very generous plateful. It was all fresh and delicious. There was a good choice of different things you could have with a salad and you can choose what you want as everything is on display inside a fridge in different containers. I decided to have everything. I forgot to take a photo until I was about half way through my plateful, so there was about twice as much when it arrived. Hubby had a chicken and mushroom pie which was heated up for him, he liked this a lot. There was a young girl working here who very kindly washed out the dog bowl and brought our dog fresh water to drink, which he enjoyed. Customer service was excellent here and we would definitely recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Lovely bakery selling delicious Welsh cakes and fruit pies. We had two of the pieces during our stay, both excellent.

We bought delicious well filled sub rolls with a choice of salads and fillings. Also the BEST apple pie slices ever. We took them to the banks of the River Severn just a 2 minute walk away and had a lovely picnic. Really good value.

Recommended to this bakery. The pies, pasties and sausage rolls we purchased were top quality so was the bread which we took home. I thought the sandwiches were rather expensive. Still, I suppose you pay for quality.

After eating some wonderful bread at a nearby restaurant found out that Talerddig bakery supplied them. On our visit (11am) the selection of bread and rolls was poor - nothing special. Just plain or lightly seeded breads. Bought a large farmhouse loaf which was really dense - okay for toast but not sandwiches. Will have to go again and see whether we missed out. Would have loved a sourdough or a seeded bread.

We are regular customers at Talerddig Bakery, and the selection of cakes and pastries are to DIE FOR!!!!! The tarts and breads are perfect (as are the staff), and are examples of the bakers art. They are all freshly baked, and sell like hot cakes!!! I can't wait for my next visit!

I've been coming to this bakery since i was a kid, the sweet elderly woman who runs it is a staple of the bakery my favourites are the blueberry muffins and the doughnuts and i once had a giant (for the cheap price) meringue topped with cream and strawberries which of course was delicious on summers day. The sandwiches offered are by far a step above subway. But i think like subway they need to offer the occasional voucher to remind locals like myself to pop in more often because unfortunately for me this fades to the background and i need reminding its here!

There are lots of eating places in this delightful town.We had a cooked meal planned for the evening, so were looking for sandwiches The board outside Talerddig Bakery says that the sandwiches are freshly made.In fact we found that they are made to order with a good choice of both bread and fillings. Also available are pies, cakes and drinks.Fresh bread, generous fillings, tasty. Reasonable price. Just what we wanted!

We were staying in Hay and Drover offer the only charger for electric vehicles in the town (and it's free). They were generous with their suggestions of using it overnight. They sell maps for local road and MTB rides too, so after we'd been out on one, we stopped by for a coffee and cake. They sell energy bars and gels too, if you're stocking up before or during a ride. A very friendly team!

Lovely local server. I had the vegetarian curry, which was (surprisingly) brilliant! Homemade, and tasted fresh and well-balanced spices- unusual for a vegetarian meal. Husband had ham, egg and chips. Chips were crispy, and ham was a generous portion, tasty and thick-cut. 😋 2 slices of ham, and 2 eggs. Great 👍

Stayed with my daughter for a couple of nights before the school term restarts. Room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Very quiet with a gorgeous view of the Welsh countryside. Breakfast was lovely and filling. A real shame they don't do evening meals as it meant we ended up with takeaways in the car as I wasn't sure if we'd be allowed to bring in hot food. That aside, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.
