Talbot Inn in Bath and North East Somerset

My Wife and I visited the Talbot Inn Saturday 5th Oct On arriving and ordering our drink at the Bar met Jac the Bar Manager what a helpful cheerful Chap amazing.....we ordered 2x Mega Mixed Grilles the quality and taste 5 star. We met Lilliy which looked after us with our needs Lilly Thank you so much ..... Also James Kitchen Manager and Co Excellent Service.

Jack G was very great as a server, he took his job so professionally that he learnt my order in irish to make life easier for me

There's lots of parking here, lots of tables, and the food was nice and came really quickly. It was good value too, and the staff were really helpful with a request. All in all, good place to stop swift and cheerful lunch.

Regularish spot for me and friends and family. Usually served by Jack G and he's always friendly, helpful, jovial and has a bit of craic, which is refreshing. Food and location are as expected, decent enough value, and a good spot for casual food.

We were served by the lovely Stacey, who went the extra mile for the young boy we were working with who has additional needs. Will be returning, food was food and priced well.

Just had my birthday meal here. Most of us had the Sunday roast. Duo of meat roast was delicious, the only thing was the carrots were a bit hard. Others said the beef was a bit chewy, but mine wasn't. (I don't usually like beef, but I enjoyed it). The kids menu could do with more pictures as one child prefers to look at them before picking a meal so they can see what they may get. Sunday roast and drink for £10 was great value, especially with the size of the portions. Would definitely get again. Look forward to trying other meals in future. Our server, Jack G, was great as always. Very cheerful and worked hard.

Good food, but fantastic service from Stacey, she is incredibly friendly and charismatic and was wonderful with the children in our group. Stacey is a real asset to the Talbot Inn, would go to see her alone. Keep up the good work.

Was very accommodating. Had a lovely chap called jay come out the kitchen to explain meal choices and how they can help with food choices. As I was with my mum who has dementia was unsure of what she wanted. He even took the time to talk to her as a person rather than me. I’ve never been to such a friendly place !!

I travelled to the talbot inn and it was outstanding from the service to the food. The 2 girls out the front Jazmin and Stacey top quality and always had a smile on their faces. The food was remarkable definitely coming back again 😊

There was a group of 10 of us (which is understandably a large group to accommodate) wanting some food at about 7pm. We hadn’t booked as it was a last minute get together. We asked politely if there was any way they could accommodate for us, the guy at the bar kindly said he’d see. A women came out and very blatantly turned us away saying there was no space for us to sit. It was a quite Wednesday night and we said we’d happily sit on separate tables. We were then abruptly told it was going to be an hour wait for food… we felt very unwelcome.

Went with a fairly large group. Team had no issue with getting us seated. Well looked after by team, food and drink came out in good time. Good quality burgers, chicken dish ok but not brilliant. Great selection of ciders

It was the first time I had been to the talbot this year, I was pleasantly surprised with variety in alcoholic beverages and food menu. Our host Jack H was extremely knowledgeable, recommending some great food and beer to accompany it! Looking forward to returning soon!

Truly divine. Fantastic banquet with top tier service. Our server, Jack was an angel. The food? Exceptional and the pub has lovely atmosphere. But the star of the show was Jack, excellent service.

We used to be able to use our clubcard vouchers off of meals on offer. No longer can do this apparently and I lost £10 worth of vouchers on this visit. Not impressed at all

Arrived by car, parked in car park , Sunday July 21st at about 5 pm. Went into pub ordered drinks. Yesterday received Parking Charge Notice for £100. I was not aware of parking restrictions (despite being Keynsham resident). I am obviously not impressed at my treatment. Your staff could have reminded me - it was not very busy!

We had a lovely early evening at the talbot inn today! 8 of us were catered to! The staff were lovely and friendly. Stacey served us our food- and she was amazing! There was a gentleman behind the bar who was funny and friendly aswell! All our food was hot and fresh! The prices are very reasonable and the servings are a good size- Infact I’d say quite generous! I would deffo recommend the talbot in!

Eat here at least once a week sometimes more went Sunday honestly the best roasts ever worth every penny there’s usually me hubby son on Sundays all food is tasty fresh hot perfect hubby always has mixed grill so much food & choice staff r fantastic happy helpful will always change order too suit your needs I love going here with my family it’s outstanding:) I’ve tried most things on menu so honestly all food is delicious & tasty 😋

Leaving a 5 star review purely for your team member Jack. Visited today 29/06/24 and Jack was extremely helpful. He seemed like the only member of staff actually doing anything. He was serving at the bar, running drinks and food to tables. Other members of staff were just stood around talking while Jack seemed to be a one man show. He is an absolute asset to your team.

Enjoyed an unhurried Sunday Lunchtime at the Talbot. Portions are always generous and the food delivers. Staff are always attentive. Big shout out to Jess who looked after our table and made sure our requests were always met!

Popped in on the off chance that we could get a last minute Sunday roast, as we hadn't booked. Staff were very friendly and had no problem accommodating us. There is a 'two roasts for £15.49' offer with the option of going large for an extra £2 each which we decided to go for. The portions were huge and neither of us could finish it all! Great value for money and we didn't have to wait very long for it to arrive either. We will definitely be returning as thoroughly enjoyed the food and our lovely waitress Stacey. We will also be returning at some point to try the curry and drink for £7 but will have to check which day it is on. One last point worth mentioning, there was free iced water that you can help yourself to, which we thought was a nice touch.

We had a great afternoon with family at the Talbot Keynsham food great and good value for money Jack served us and he is a always very friendly and helpful as are the rest of the staff.

Busy pub, part of the Hungry Horse chain. So basically a food pub, not for the gourmet just selling traditional fare to feed and fill the hungry at a budget price. Basically you enter, eat and leave, fast food with a drink!

Always good food at very good price. All staff friendly and helpful especially Stacey who always goes out of her way to make sure you have a good time
