Talbot Inn in Bath and North East Somerset

The third year running we have visited the Talbot for the festive menu. The food was exceptional. Three really delicious courses, enjoyed by all three of us. The starter of mushrooms in peppercorn sauce was fantastic! The staff were brilliant. Stacey served us and is the ultimate professional, super efficient, really happy and friendly. She was great. The guys behind the bar were also terrific. Our weird mix of payment (free drink birthday voucher and a different person paying separately for the meal balance and drinks with a gift card) caused no confusion whatsoever. Thanks to everyone involved. A great time had by us all!

We had a lovely meal recently on a Saturday afternoon, for 13 of us including 5 children. The service was great, thank you to Jack, Jamie, Sara, Laura, Danielle and Joe!

Had an amazing meal here with my family. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent and great value for money, complements to the chefs! And thank you to all the staff!

Ver helpful staff, good sized portions cooked very well. Had the Sunday roast special which is £10 with a drink! And means quality is normally not so good... BUT.. This was a very good value meal and very filling. Will be back!

My Wife and I visited the Talbot Inn Saturday 5th Oct On arriving and ordering our drink at the Bar met Jac the Bar Manager what a helpful cheerful Chap amazing.....we ordered 2x Mega Mixed Grilles the quality and taste 5 star. We met Lilliy which looked after us with our needs Lilly Thank you so much ..... Also James Kitchen Manager and Co Excellent Service.

Ordered 8oz Rump steak,first dish steak was over cooked,second was cooked better but steak was hard to cut,impossible to eat,I was offered a complimentary dessert, but declined due to not having a main course,staff were polite and friendly but sadly I won't be eating there again.

Had my birthday lunch at the Talbot with a number of family and friends. The meal was wonderful with great service from all the staff especially Jack and Stacey.

This is the third coffee morning we have had with friends. In the last 4 days Thank you for all the attention, the really lovely coffee Your looked after us so well too and made us so welcome too. Brilliant. Thanks Andy Stacey Sarah and Jack. See you soon

Great place to come for a Sunday roast, very quick and polite service from the bar, also the food very good value for money. Only down point no music was playing in the back ground but we will be back to try the mid week specials.

Just been in the Talbot with my daughters and experienced excellent customer service all round but especially from Stacey! Food was good too. Will definitely be back soon

There's lots of parking here, lots of tables, and the food was nice and came really quickly. It was good value too, and the staff were really helpful with a request. All in all, good place to stop swift and cheerful lunch.

Regularish spot for me and friends and family. Usually served by Jack G and he's always friendly, helpful, jovial and has a bit of craic, which is refreshing. Food and location are as expected, decent enough value, and a good spot for casual food.

We were served by the lovely Stacey, who went the extra mile for the young boy we were working with who has additional needs. Will be returning, food was food and priced well.

Just had my birthday meal here. Most of us had the Sunday roast. Duo of meat roast was delicious, the only thing was the carrots were a bit hard. Others said the beef was a bit chewy, but mine wasn't. (I don't usually like beef, but I enjoyed it). The kids menu could do with more pictures as one child prefers to look at them before picking a meal so they can see what they may get. Sunday roast and drink for £10 was great value, especially with the size of the portions. Would definitely get again. Look forward to trying other meals in future. Our server, Jack G, was great as always. Very cheerful and worked hard.

Was very accommodating. Had a lovely chap called jay come out the kitchen to explain meal choices and how they can help with food choices. As I was with my mum who has dementia was unsure of what she wanted. He even took the time to talk to her as a person rather than me. I’ve never been to such a friendly place !!

I travelled to the talbot inn and it was outstanding from the service to the food. The 2 girls out the front Jazmin and Stacey top quality and always had a smile on their faces. The food was remarkable definitely coming back again 😊

There was a group of 10 of us (which is understandably a large group to accommodate) wanting some food at about 7pm. We hadn’t booked as it was a last minute get together. We asked politely if there was any way they could accommodate for us, the guy at the bar kindly said he’d see. A women came out and very blatantly turned us away saying there was no space for us to sit. It was a quite Wednesday night and we said we’d happily sit on separate tables. We were then abruptly told it was going to be an hour wait for food… we felt very unwelcome.

It was the first time I had been to the talbot this year, I was pleasantly surprised with variety in alcoholic beverages and food menu. Our host Jack H was extremely knowledgeable, recommending some great food and beer to accompany it! Looking forward to returning soon!

Went with a fairly large group. Team had no issue with getting us seated. Well looked after by team, food and drink came out in good time. Good quality burgers, chicken dish ok but not brilliant. Great selection of ciders

Truly divine. Fantastic banquet with top tier service. Our server, Jack was an angel. The food? Exceptional and the pub has lovely atmosphere. But the star of the show was Jack, excellent service.

We used to be able to use our clubcard vouchers off of meals on offer. No longer can do this apparently and I lost £10 worth of vouchers on this visit. Not impressed at all

Arrived by car, parked in car park , Sunday July 21st at about 5 pm. Went into pub ordered drinks. Yesterday received Parking Charge Notice for £100. I was not aware of parking restrictions (despite being Keynsham resident). I am obviously not impressed at my treatment. Your staff could have reminded me - it was not very busy!

We had a lovely early evening at the talbot inn today! 8 of us were catered to! The staff were lovely and friendly. Stacey served us our food- and she was amazing! There was a gentleman behind the bar who was funny and friendly aswell! All our food was hot and fresh! The prices are very reasonable and the servings are a good size- Infact I’d say quite generous! I would deffo recommend the talbot in!

Eat here at least once a week sometimes more went Sunday honestly the best roasts ever worth every penny there’s usually me hubby son on Sundays all food is tasty fresh hot perfect hubby always has mixed grill so much food & choice staff r fantastic happy helpful will always change order too suit your needs I love going here with my family it’s outstanding:) I’ve tried most things on menu so honestly all food is delicious & tasty 😋
