Wow wow wow stayed here for a night instead of camping due to a bad storm forecast Had the family penthouse on top floor fantastic decor very clean and cosy. Staff was really pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was excellent and more than we could eat and very reasonably priced, the breakfast was fab and plentiful. Thanks to all the staff that made our brief stay so enjoyable. It is definitely the best value for money in Barmouth Graham and Beverley

Decided to have lunch here as it was close by and the rain had just started! The food was excellent as was the beer. The staff were friendly and attentive, the service was quick. There was a suitable gluten-free option. Would definitely recommend!

We usually stop by this place every year while we're visiting nearby and the service is always great. There is plenty of sheltered seating outside for those with dogs. The food is also very good, with large portions and is reasonably priced. We'll be back again next year!

Lovely food, great quality wine. Check it out. Don't be put off by all the folk smoking outside. It really is a nice pub, great food, and it is one of the few places that sell good Chardonnay.

Nice dog friendly pub in the centre of Barmouth. Decent lunch and main menu with plenty of gluten free options for those who have special dietary requirements. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and a good selection of drinks. Highly recommended. Can get busy so be prepared to wait.

Came for a meal here and they do fantastic portion sizes so consider sharing if your appetite is not huge! The food came out piping hot and was so tasty - reasonable prices compared to many other establishments in Barmouth. The lighting could have been a bit softer but the staff were friendly and the beer was nice so overall I would definitely recommend

We were in Barmouth for a walk this morning and decided to have lunch while we were there, we managed to get a table as there were quite a few reserved and had a Roast Lamb and Roast Beef dinner which were excellent and shared a cheeky pudding ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I stayed overnight at this hotel on our way to a holiday park further down the coast. The staff were very friendly and helpful and so were the local customers. After exploring the area plus one or two pubs, we decided to have our evening meal at the Tal-y-Don. I had the pleasure of enjoying the tastiest chilli and rice I have ever had whilst my wife had the lasagne which she also enjoyed. Our room was beyond our expectations being very clean, large and comfortable. After having a very good sleep, we went down to the restaurant for a fantastic breakfast. The only down side to our visit was that we only spent one night here. If the opportunity should arise, we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed overnight here to celebrate my birthday. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The food in the pub itself was to a high standard and the staff were all very friendly. I would recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting to stay in Barmouth. The hotel/pub is situated in the town centre and has plenty of outside seating both at the front and rear of the pub.

This is our third visit..The food is excellent! Lacks GF options but the gammon is absolutely spot on! Our go to for affordable yet high quality food.

We came to Barmouth for the day in the school holidays. Decided to stop here for lunch, it was really nice. Huge portions, fresh and tasty. Would return.

I've been here a few times in 2019 and have to say despite Covid, nothing has changed. Great food, great choice of drinks and at a great value. The staff is also very nice and there are also some locals. I've had the Chili and the Surf & Turf, the taste and the price are awesome. :-) Next time I'm in Barmouth, I'll definitely come back here.

Wanted a light bite at lunch time, what we got was a plate full of excellent food. We had a bacon and brie panini, it came with a plate of salad and chips. In fact we had to leave some it was so filling. Would certainly recommend this place.
