Takdir Indian Restaurant & Banquet Hall in Bradford

Did not receive order although they took my money. No email confirmation or answering of their phone.

Food Was Okey not something Im used to but nice to try new things. My dad enjoyed it way more than i did but Im also the person Who only eats chips and nuggets aka the food palet of a child. Service was very good and fast.

The food was fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere is relaxing and the customer service was lovely. Will continue to come here!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME IF YOU'RE ORDERING ONLINE FOR DELIVERY What an absolute scam. Don't order for delivery cause you wont recieve it, but you will be charged for it. When you try and phone you get no response and says that the inbox is full. What an absolute scam.

Food is delicious and they are responsive to your requests even if you order directly on their website. Their website is easy to use and prices are MUCH better than using something like Just Eat. Prices are reasonable and fair, unlike a lot the restaurants around and the food is excellent authentic bengali food. Their service is warm and courteous while being professional. Delivery was quicker than promised, and quicker than I expected. Always better to under promise and over deliver, and they over delivered more than once. Just use these guys, you won't be sorry. This is no nonsense good food with no unnecessary stuff just to raise prices. Honest guys.

I have visited this place couple of times and I will be coming back for more. The over is very polite man, cooks food very quickly and it tastes wonderful. I ordered Chicken Jalfrezi and the scent and taste was amazing, that I couldn't wait to get home and eat it. Definitely will be coming back.

If u order from a hotel you won’t get full order, food is very bland and the chicken doesn’t taste like chicken

I visited there today and it was awful as my popudoms tasted stale and off taste so I asked for the chapati instead and then charged me extra for them

The best place ever! Amazing food!

I was visiting Bradford as part of my job and wanted to go for a curry (yes, at dinnertime, sue me!). I looked at a few sites to find an open restaurant and Takdir popped up. I'm happy to say that everything was great. The food, the cleanliness, the pretty bows on the chairs, the other patrons. As a welcome surprise, the owner, Ali, used to have a takeaway in York, my home City. I asked for my curry hot (I like stupid-hot) and my lips tingled for a while after I left. The chicken chat was tasty, and the lemon rice was flavoured well. If I am in that part of Yorkshire again I'll call in.

My account has been debited but I have not received my food. Was unable to get through to anyone on the phone either

Superb food, great value prices and friendly owner/chef at the Takdir Restaurant. Chicken Jal Massala and Biryani recommended. Will recommend to friends and will go again next time I'm in Bradford.

Beware. This place is shut down but they are scamming people by keeping the online order option open. Visit in person before you order.

GRTCC - Different! When we walked in, the staff looked like started meerkats surprised that customers were actually coming in as 'walk in customers' appeared to be the last thing they were thinking about! It was also cold, which again added to the 'what customers' look. However, the food was really good, but will try a takeaway next time

REFUND PLEASE! I ordered online for pick-up and my card was charged but when I went to pick it up the restaurant was closed. I have been trying to call multiple times but no one picks up the phone. No email address or other contact details can be found. Please respond!!!

Hidden little gem in the city of Bradford. Chef/owner approached and made convo with us, he made sure to mention that we can customise our dishes to preference. Food was amazing, piping hot, full of flavour and big portions. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes on the menu.

Amazing place with amazing food

Turned up before attending an event with a friend but it was closed. Said on line it was open and sign on the door indicated it should have been open but it was closed. 20 minute walk across Bradford out of our way to find somewhere else meaning we had to rush and disrupt our evening. If you're closed then say so!!!

I have never been insulted by anyone in the hospitality industry as I have just been insulted by the manager of this restaurant. I made a small delivery order worth just above £12 and the restaurant is less than two miles away from my door. I received a phone call a while after making the order which disconnected as soon as I answered it. I received a text from a 'Mr. Ali' (the manager) that simply didn't make any sense whatsoever upon reading. I tried to ring him straight back on my landline but he did not answer. Over half an hour later, I rang the restaurant to find out where on earth the order was. It transpired that this "Mr. Ali" had hired a random taxi driver (not a FoodHub registered delivery driver) to "deliver" the order. The order never arrived, I was not informed of the order's cancellation and upon ringing to enquire I was personally insulted by "Mr. Ali" who asked me if "I'd been sleeping?" For the attention of Mr. Ali: Just who on earth do you think you are? You are clearly in the wrong profession and completely unfit to be working in an industry serving customers. I will make it my business to ensure that everyone I know knows to avoid your restaurant and the disgusting practices being enacted, therein. Thank you and have a nice day! P.S. I have submitted a formal complaint to FoodHub noting how Takdir is flaunting their terms of sale for delivery orders.

Fairly small restaurant on Cheapside, Bradford. Food was hot and delicious and portions were generous, best curry I've eaten in a long time. Service was super quick as we were the ones in ( we eat early as we were going on to an event at st George's hall). Owner was very attentive and friendly. Overall excellent food and good value, Will definitely be back next time I'm in Bradford

Worst fish and chips I have ever had, the fish and also the chips was the cheapest quality compare the money they asking for it, the fish was nearly the size of a fish finger was oily and not eatable throwed it in the bin straight away!! Really bad at customer service even forgot to give the drinks which was included in the meal..Avoid this restaurant!!

good value curry house in the city centre. Excellent service. Wide ranging menu. our dishes were tasty, accompanied by nice stuffed paratha and sweet lassi to drink. Only criticism was that the chefs special included lamb chops which had very little meat and that was hard and tough rather than soft and tender. If we have a chance to return I would order something else. It was a Saturday night and surprisingly quiet.

Went there recently on a Sunday evening, we were served very quickly, staff was friendly and helpful. Our order was picked up by the chef/owner and he offered to help us with the menu. Tasty food and good value for money.

Been to Bradford on many occasions to try the curry houses. And can honestly say this place ranks very highly. We ordered pickle tray followed by meat sag walla, chicken karahi and a tikka masala. All 3 were lovely very authentic and beautifully flavoured. Spot on

Food excellent. Service very good. Only had a group of 6 others in at the same time otherwise atmosphere would be quiet. Place a little old but the food was great value for money and quality was excellent. Chef really friendly. Definitely worth visiting and we will come again.

Nice people, after 5-6 months of waiting for the first time we are having food from an Indian restaurant. My kid is 2 years old and even the staff tolerated his atrocities. The taste of the food was also awesome and the atmosphere was calm.

Ordered food which was scheduled to arrive at 20:56, didn’t show up till 22:15. I was told it was on the way at 21:00. I was hung up on by a lady on the phone twice. My food was cold.

Decided to have a meal out in Bradford after going to “the light” cinema. First-time visit. Really lovely fresh food. Owner Ali is a very welcoming chap who comes out to say hello to everyone and makes everyone feel very welcome with his friendly welcoming manner. We would definitely come back to eat here. Even got some extra “on the house” freshly made chapattis that Ali brought to our table. Thanks guys!

So so delicious. Nicest Tikka Masala I've ever had, flavourful and vibrant with a proper "medium" level of spice that's warming and robust. The chicken pieces were so soft and tender. The prices are amazing and for that you get a substantial portion of delicious food and incredible friendly service. Even the Naan bread and poppadoms were a cut above. Thank you Takdir's for brightening up our Bradford stay!

First time in years we've managed to get to Bradford for a curry. Wanted to try to find an old school (i.e. back to the 70/80s!) curry house. Takdirs was just the job. The spicing of all the food was spot on and if you want the heat changing, up or down, just ask and they'll sort it. Taks is unlicensed but they're happy for you to BYO alcohol. So winner, winner chicken dinner - well lamb to be precise.

Can’t recommend Takdir highly enough, we nearly missed it looking on Trip Advisor (don’t confuse it with other same named restaurants elsewhere). Visiting from Lincolnshire for the weekend. Takdir serves amazing food, accommodating allergies easily as it is all cooked fresh to order by the owner in an open kitchen. Served up piping hot and quickly. The menu is huge and caters for all tastes (you can even order a wide range of pizzas), there are curry meal options for under £10 with included rice or 3 x chapatis. Portion size is perfect and the taste was out of this world! The owner Ali is proud to tell you he cooks from the heart. As the restaurant does not sell alcohol you can even bring your own which saves on the costs of eating out. Just opposite The Midland Hotel up from the Broadway Shopping centre.

Curry ok, all be it a little bland! Chapattis and roti hard like cardboard and stale definitely not fresh and soft! Raita was curdled and watery, popadoms chewy and soft. Can’t justify the 30 pound price tag for a mediocre takeout based on the good reviews is why I tried it out! Not to mention I ordered at 5.10pm didn’t arrive till 6.40pm.

Was driving through Bradford for the night and popped in Taqdir for a good meal.. was surprised at the owner Ali, who single handedly prepared my entire meal. Down to earth guy too, had a lovely warm experience and the food was absolutely banging.. Easily some of the best Indian food I have tasted (and that includes several trips to India). Myself and my wife enjoyed a full meal with great service for considerably less than we were expecting. Would not hesitate to recommend and will be back many more times.

I was away in Bradford a few weeks ago for work. Was super happy to find this Indian restaurant, right across from my hotel. I always find it a bit intimidating going out to eat alone, but the staff and owner here couldn't have made me more comfortable. Really fantastic, reasonably priced food, and so helpful with gf options (most of the menu!) So nice to have some proper Indian grub 😋 Thanks so much guys 😊

Very quiet when we visited early evening for a pre gig curry. The staff were very welcoming, service was spot on. The food was superb, highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Will be back next time we're in Bradford.

An excellent resto at a reasonable price. We ate lunch there. The service was courteous and nice, even with the owner serving us alone. Once the food arrived (in a timely manner), we thoroughly enjoyed it, just the right size portion. Recommended without reservation.
