Food was lovely. Serving team were ever so helpful led by a lovely lady. Perfect setting to celebrate a birthday party. The staff assisted us with setting up a birthday cake we brought in. We were a party of 12 and had the upstairs and such a lovely beautiful setting /atmosphere. Thank you Ervin - chef/ boss - or was it Osman???

Very clean and delicious food, we tried Vegetarian Moussaka, Chicken grill, mixed grill, Lamp chops, all were rich in flavour, perfect mediterranean food. The portions for every dish was enough for two people.

Dined at The Olive Branch for lunch on Friday, 20 September for a birthday lunch. The set menu of under £20 for two courses and under £24 for three courses is very good value for money in this day and age. But what sets this Turkish restaurant is the cuisine. Not only did our food taste great but the presentation was ace. Great ambience too with widely spaced tables and great service. We started off by sharing chargrilled Turkish spicy sausage, garlic mushrooms homemade hummus followed by grilled chicken, lamb and seabass. All wonderfully marinated and beautifully presented with well seasoned side salads. The homemade bread was delicious as was the homemade baklava and Turkish coffee. Altogether a great experience. It's our go to restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine.

Had a gorgeous meal out. I had the chicken fajitas and my partner had the lamb fajitas and we absolutely loved it . Service was great , Elainey served us and was very attentive and friendly.

We have been visiting the Olive Branch in Ilkley unfrequently for a number of years. Despite inevitable managerial & other staff changes over the years, the quality of the food has never altered - it is always fresh, quality ingredients, freshly prepared & cooked. The service has also always been consistently good - it's always a pleasant experience to visit The Olive Branch, Ilkley. On our latest visit, they had reintroduced a variation of their old fixed-price menu, which was welcome and offered excellent value. As ever, I highly recommend this restaurant for it's consistently high-quality food & service. +++++++++++++

It was our first time at The Olive Branch in Ilkley. We dropped in without a reservation and the staff were very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a real holiday vibe to it and we are looking forward to returning already.

We ordered a takeaway from here after a long day travelling. The food was tasty and packaged well for us to be able to eat outside. The staff were friendly and we would definitely eat here again.

The people at my table got their food 40 mins before I got mine. They never came to check on us, let us know why, apologize for the wait or the fact that I had to just sit there and watch as the others finished their meals. We had to flag them over and they just said they were working on it. It ended up being an hour after ordering before I got my food.

Mediocre for the price. My falafel were deep-fried and over-cooked. To be fair, I wasn’t charged for this dish; the waiter took the cost off the bill. I’d still expect something a bit more special for what we paid. Decor and surroundings were pleasant, however, and the wine great. We were with lovely friends who commented on a rowdy group sitting close by.

Very disappointing meal, ordered fajitas which were swimming in oil and very salty. Not enjoyable at all. Was given a free dessert after we complained but to be honest that wasn’t very nice either. They waitress offered to remove the service charge. Unfortunately won’t be returning

We have visited here for a long time, but the menu has changed since our last visit. Pizzas, Pides and Koftas have all gone. We found the menu quite limiting, especially for children. They also had no Baklava, so we didn't have dessert either.

This was amazing food. Would definitely recommend the vegetarian Fajitas, the veggies were so perfect.

Waited almost 2 hours from arrival and still no main delivered so had to leave... Such a shame as last time we came was great! Staff were trying their best but communication was poor.

Over two & half hours waiting time for food, no apologies, just poor staff to tell people there was a small wait, disgusting by management, weekend away ruined by stupid management

Food was really good and service was good also. I had spicy sausage for starters, Turkish meatballs for mains and chocolate orange cake for desert. It was all really tasty.

I came here with my family, the food was unique and niche but nothing short of excellence. The layout of the venue is also pretty rustic and a nice little vibe going on. Nestled away from the Main Street it is a perfect place.

Very nice food and friendly staff.

I visited here for my birthday with friends, there were 12 of us in total. On arrival the table of 12 was split over 2 lots of 6, back to back. As the room was empty at that time I asked if they could be changed into one big table of 12. I was then told by the lady behind the bar that this was not possible. I have previously visited on a work event with more than 12 people and this was accommodated with no issues. After we finished our starters our empty plates remained on the table for approximately 45 minutes, it took someone going up to the bar to ask them to remove the empty plates. There was then another long wait until our main dishes arrived, we had been there well over 2 hours before they came. During this time we only got asked once for a further drink order, guests had to go to the bar to request a staff member to come take an order. During the whole meal there was no apology for the poor service, the food itself was good but by the time it arrived most of us were past the point of eating. When paying the bill, without realising, we were all charged service charge without being warned and I thought this was completely unacceptable. Overall we were all very disappointed and will not be returning.

The gratis bread and dip and the starters were tasty and we were looking forward to our mains. I had moussaka which was ok but my husband's lamb was all but inedible. We didn't want to make a fuss but told the waitress when she was clearing the dishes that the lamb was not good (which was evident by the fact that most of it was left on the plate). Also the wedges we ordered as a side were not good - dry and tasteless and clearly frozen and just dipped in hot oil before serving. We were disappointed that our comments were not passed on (we could see the waitress at the serving hatch and she did not speak to any of the chefs) therefore no apology given. There are plenty of restaurants in and around Ilkley, sadly we will not be back to The Olive Branch.

Lamb fajitas were tasty but for the price would have expected more meat and less veg. Meatballs were tasty but lacked sauce. Homemade cheesecake was average and had to request pouring cream. Staff and atmosphere very good 🙂

Enjoyed our dinner of mousakka and meatballs. The atmosphere was good. The wine was ok but no Turkish wine available. The staff are all friendly. Unfortunately the menu has changed drastically since our last visit a month ago. There are fewer dishes on offer including our favourites, the prawn casserole and the pide and the kebabs. The new menu is lacking a lot of Turkish dishes that made the Olive Branch a great Turkish restaurant. I wonder why it has been depleted ? Why add 2 Mexican fajitas ? We will visit again to see if there are more Turkish dishes available.

A superbly located place on the main street corner. Simply great Turkish food without the fuss. Excellent Service.

Had a mixed grill and garlic bread with salad as I wanted a more healthy takeaway. Enough for two to have a nice meal and for just over £20 was great value. Would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing food at a medium price point, would recommend to a friend

We went on a Sunday evening before starting the Dales Way. The menu was extensive so we all settled on the set menu which offered enough choice, 2 courses for £19.95. The food was lovely and service good but unobtrusive. Two large groups in and a solo diner. Very nice atmosphere. We were catching up with a friend who lives locally and were able to sit after finishing without being rushed away . Great casual dining.

We came here around 7pm, and it is a little hard to park our car.(The entry is hard to find) We ordered one bottle of red wine (which one cute guy recommended it, it was sweet and flavorful) Also, the starters are delicious too, we loved Ezme, and we asked more one of it😄 The main is also good, but not as great as the starter. The service is 5/5 Atmosphere is 4/5 Food 4/5

Had a really lovely meal here with my partner and friends last month. The food was excellent- great flavours and presentation, good value and arrived quickly. The sea bass was some of the tastiest fish I’ve ever eaten. The space was clean, open and felt authentic. Overall an excellent experience. Looking to return and try more of the menu soon.

Excellent evening at the Olive Branch last night. Very good menu with lots of very tempting dishes. We had the hot meze as a sharing starter - lovely freshly prepared ingredients. Main courses similarly impressive. Good friendly quick service, good wine list.

Great pub .... stayed one night . Beautiful en suite room. Super friendly staff... Lovely breakfast. Great location for everything - Shops/ Lido/ Theatre. Couldn't fault. We'll be back.

We really enjoyed our lunch at The Olive Branch. The Turkish salad was fresh, our shared meze platter was filling and the squid was perfectly cooked. We'll be back for a meal in the evening soon.

Disappointed with our visit after hearing positive reviews. It’s never nice to shiver through a restaurant meal and although staff turned the heating up when we asked, it wasn’t enough to compact the artic wind coming down the stairwell. We found the food bland and lacking flavour, though starters were better than mains. Service was pleasant but the team seemed overstretched and never offered but only responded when asked. We won’t be returning as many restaurants serving better food in Ilkley.

One of my favourite restaurants in Ilkley. I've also had some takeaways from here too. The standard is consistently excellent and very reasonably priced considering the quality. There are now more cocktails to choose from too and they are delicious. Thank you for a lovely time.

We visited on a Friday evening, early on, it was quiet so no need to book. We were sat near the door and the staff very kindly offered to move us when another table became available because it was a bit cold. We ordered the grilled lamb and the Turkish chicken fajitas and both were really delicious - we couldn't fault the food at all. It's a little pricey at £18-£19 for a main course but we would definitely go again for the quality of the food.

We visited here early evening. Lovely warm ambiance. Attentive staff. We ordered the mixed hot meze starter and then wondered if we made a mistake in ordering a main too. All genuine Turkish dishes and plenty of them and that was before they brought the delicious bread. Then came the mains. The lamb in the Turkish wraps was tender and tasty,served with two dips. We thought they must have been joking when they offered us the desert menu. We really were too full. Maybe next time. Would certainly recommend this.

Wow!! We walked by this restaurant, it was empty so a little hesitant to go inside, we decided it was just because it had just opened. Oh my, I’m glad we did! Food was superb. Service was second to none, and the espresso martinis were delicious!!

Dined at the Olive Branch on Valentines Day, along with the children. The restaurant had a warm, cosy and inviting feeling. The decor was tasteful. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming - there was a family feeling to it. The food was delicious. Very fresh, portions were huge and there was something for everyone. Even a simple yet very tasty margherita pizza for the fussiest diner with us. The bill came and was very reasonable.

My husband and I went on a Saturday evening. It was very busy so I would definitely advise pre booking. Despite how busy the restaurant was the service was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and value for money. Will visit again if we are back in Ilkley.

Because of all the good reviews we were expecting something really good but unfortunately our experience of the food wasn't. For the starter was the mixed hot meze it was OK. The mains were OK and that's what I can say about the food just OK. The wine was so bad we had to buy lemonade to make it taste something like decent. The lemonade was flat they need new gas. Ive got to admit that I've been on a few restaurants recently and it seems to be happening alot at the moment I don't know why is, there a shortage of it. The staff were very nice and helpful so that was a bonus Will I ever go to this restaurant again don't think I would.

First time visiting the Olive Branch and won’t be the last! Lovely surroundings (over two floors), great atmosphere, fab turkish music and really delicious food freshly prepared. The host Osman was so friendly, as were his staff too. Our party had a range of food from the menu (the hot and cold mezze was gorgeous!) and everything was flavoursome and tasty. Didnt have enough room for the obligatory baklava so they even boxed some up to take home! Really lovely restaurant with a relaxed and casual vibe..we’ll be back when next in Ilkley!

My mum and I ate here before going to see a play at Ilkley Playhouse. Neither of us eat red meat so I was a little worried after perusing the menu! But we needn't have worried, there's plenty of choice for vegetarians and all of the food was delicious! We went for the cold meze, garlic bread and a Turkish salad. The place was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Definitely recommend.

My Mum had lunch here with a friend on Thursday. She isn’t on TripAdvisor herself but she said it was very tasty food and the staff were very helpful. She recommends it!

Young staff seemed disinterested in the job. Didn't ask if the food was OK and made us wait for a long time to order dessert and to get the bill. Food was really greasy and the lamb was chewy
