We visited Takaa Tak for dinner this evening and we had a faultless experience. I think the true test for a restaurant is when every table is full and there are 25 people in the function room, to serve food that is hot, beautifully presented and full of flavour. This place achieved that and had amazing customer service to boot! Like a fine oiled machine. I had the Jerra Chicken, which was fresh, flavourful and that chicken was so moist, absolutely beautiful. My wife had the Takkaatak Chicken, which was equally amazing. We wouldn't usually have a desert, as banana and pineapple fritters are not our thing, but we couldn't resist a taste of traditional Kulfi. It was so yummy and finished off our meal nicely. Very reasonably priced for such an awesome experience. We will definitely be back, but with friends next time. Keep up the great work.

Food was amazing and service excellent. Some dishes on menu were unique to this restaurant. Great value too. We ate early so can't really comment on atmosphere as people coming in as we were leaving.

We had hosted my sons birthday at Takaa Tak. The service was exellent and the waitors were very helpful, food was delicious and atmostphere was very cosy and warm. The total bill was reasonable too! We had enquired at other restaurants but very glad we went here, our guests really loved it.

Really nice food, curries were excellent, especially the lamb Rogan Josh and the kadai paneer. The matka kulfi was lovely and refreshing at the end as well. Definitely coming back for another meal!

Extremely poor service and food.

Had a delivery on New Year’s Eve. You cannot order poppadoms individually, instead you pay £3 for about 1 1/2 poppadoms with a little sauce. We normally order about 6 poppadoms but at this price it would have been £12 for 4 portions. The tawa mains we ordered were far too hot and nothing like what we had when we went in to the restaurant previously. Really disappointed.

Lovely restaurant where we had the private room for a special occasion, food was delicious, staff were helpful and is value for money. Recommended!

Recently we got horrible experience from you. We placed an order from just eat around 45 minutes ago. We were waiting for the food. On the just eat app shows order was accepted and food will be delivered shortly. After waiting a long , I called a restaurant they said we cancelled your order because there is no delivery driver. I had a guest at my home including childs.They all waiting for food. Such a bilgembrassment for me.

The staff here are very polite and fast working the food don't even get me started the food was absolutely delicious especially the panner tikka this place is definitely worth a visit the atmosphere here was great to very fancy overall rating 5/5

Great food and equally great service. A very authentic Indian food. I ordered a peshawari naan and potato stuffed kulcha with chole. And a salted lassi and a mango lassi to go with the food. Plenty of parking space. Highly recommended.

The place is nice the curry was great but there's something odd about the poppadoms and nan. They bring you quarters!! Erm no tha ks ill have a freshly cooked one in one piece please and I'll rip off the bits I want. Our waiter was borderline rude, definitely short tempered with us. Not what you want from customer facing staff.. Curry was good though

We went early Tuesday evening. Restaurant was empty. Food was first class. Service was efficient.

The chicken served was off. On the mixed grill, whatever chicken was used had a funky gamey taste to it that should not have been there... not sure if this was frozen for too long or what but it wasn't pleasant and I didn't want to continue eating the mixed grill. The chicken in the momos were also funky. Their vegetarian option, the manchuria gobi was delicious and so was their naan.

Great food, Good service. After a long had authentic test.

First time visiting here and what a fantastic place. Authentic, fresh and welcoming. Probably the best curry I have ever had, or at least the best by far, that I have had in a long time. I also highly recommend the Keema nann and the Gulab Jamun desert with ice-cream! Only thing that took away from the experience, was how quickly they took away dishes and stuff on the table, sometimes whilst eating. If this hadn't happend, it would have been 5 stars on all sections of the review. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who likes indian food. It will certainly be a go to for me and my family now! Please be mindful that there is limited parking though, and is straight off a main road, so you can't park out on the road! Can't wait to come back and try some more delicious dishes I haven tried before!

I booked Takaa Taks for my birthday meal on Saturday 17th August. I went in a couple of days beforehand to check my booking and speak to the very helpful "Akanksha" who put my mind a ease and confirmed the booking and allowed me to choose which table I liked as I was coming for my family birthday meal. When we arrived, it was great to see your restaurant so busy and a great atmosphere. I always book here because I find the quality of food excellent. Plus you are my local Indian restaurant and it's nice to see such authentic food at its best. Akanksha seated us on time, she explained that the food may take a bit of time as the restaurant was very busy, so this was nice that she gave us enough notice about the timings which I appreciated. Akanksha seemed as though she was in control of everything and very organised. She was very polite snd when my starter did not arrive with everyone else's, she was very apologetic which I appreciated. The food took a long time between courses but it was very busy and I appreciated the gaps between different courses as it allowed me to relax. First visit here and it didn't disappoint. Very caring staff and service was impeccable. The atmosphere and ambience was light and airy. The food...mixed grill starter was so tender. Lamb kebabs melts in your mouth and the lamb chops were divine. The chicken karahi and butter chicke were out of this world. Would highly recommend this place and I will be back soon.

a absolute delight to be a client of this superior establishment Thanks to J & the girls for their service & attention thurs evening the guys who accompanied me(some for 1st time) were very impressed with the quality of cuisine(very tasty & plentiful (lamb mirchi lagi was a highlight for the newbies,they like it hot & this was to their liking),standard of service nothing too much trouble & the vibe the establishment exudes . Increíble restaurante y servicio! Hemos estado en muchos restaurantes indios a lo largo de los años y hemos comido muchas comidas de engranajes. Sin embargo, las comidas que tuvimos aquí superaron con creces nuestras expectativas. Estaban calientes, lo que es raro cuando visitas cualquier restaurante hoy en día y había un montón de carne que era tan tierna, que simplemente se derritió en tu boca. Se presentó bien y el servicio era genial también, muy educado y profesional. El lugar estaba impecable también, que es una de las cosas que siempre busco personalmente en un restaurante, ya que te da una idea de cómo son las cocinas! Un pequeño defecto yo diría que nos sentimos un poco apresurados, no es que estaba demasiado ocupado (7 pm un sábado por la noche) había gente yendo y viniendo constantemente, pero había algunas mesas libres, así que no creo que nos necesitaran fuera y estaba reservado de 7 - 9 pm de cualquier manera. Si no hubiera sido por esto habríamos dado una crítica de 5 * porque en general todo fue una experiencia gastronómica increíble y sin duda volveremos.

Landed at this place after a long tiring day the Alton Towers and found the joy of delicious authentic North India food with a perfect Punjabi vibe. All the food we ordered was flavourful and tasty. For starters we ordered - veg Grilled platter and Amritsari Fish; Amritsari fish was 10/10 while platter was good too. For kids mains we ad Butter chicken and nan, very few butter chickens come close to what we get in India and this was close enough. Talli Murg, Lamb Karahi, Kofta and Dal Tarka were all very good along with hot crispy nans. Don’t miss their Masala Diet Coke ! Highly Recommended.

Tandoori momos are toooo good. Never had something like this in UK. Takaa Tak restaurant serves Indian food menu. The menu is very vast and has variety of options like North-Indian, Indo-Chinese, etc. Both Vegeterian and Non-Vegeterian options are available. Would definitely recommend to have the Tandoori Momos, you won’t regret. I have visited this place twice, once of weekday when the service was good. However on weekend, service was very bad. We were in the restaurant for 2.5 hours to complete our dinner. Service was slow.

One of the amazing hidden gems when it comes to the food especially the mains…the methi chicken was one of the best curry’s I’ve experienced! The prices are reasonable but the customer service is exemplary especially from the owner whose friendly but profession manner is second to none! There’s a wide range of mocktsils and cocktails which he produces with exquisite expertise and can’t wait to get there again soon!

Sides and starters lovely (bhaji, tikka paneer, chaka chat). Curries were awful. Really, really salty (one was inedible) and really greasy. Also, none of the curries were labelled on top. Given we had all ordered different lamb curries, it was impossible to decipher which was which. Quality nowhere near the same as it is when you dine in their restaurant.

Overall, our experience at Taka Tak was enjoyable, with delicious food and good service. However, we were disappointed by the unfriendly attitude of the staff. Additionally, there were limited options to keep our children entertained, such as a shortage of crayons or pencil colors. Despite these shortcomings, we would still recommend Taka Tak for its tasty cuisine.

I was accommodated by Marina, who provided exceptional service! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend asking for Marina when you visit – her professionalism and enthusiasm truly enhance the dining experience. Five stars!

I don't like taka tak overall ,Yesterday we went there .The service was really very slow .Even they don't know who come first and should be served first .The waiting time for the food was very long .As compared to other places ,it's quite expensive because they serve very little quantity. This is a really nice place well decorated with plenty of parking space. We ordered 3 curries and 3 banana. Soy Chap and kadai paneer tasted great. The Kofta taste needs to be improved, it was quite bland, even the curry sauce didn’t help to lift its taste. The naans are not uniform. One naan was really think and crispy it didn’t taste like a naan but more like a tandoori roti. Overall the food good but, can be improved.

We loved Taka Tak for the food and service. The last 2 times we visited however was a bit of a disappointment as there was too much salt on most of the dishes. Our friends also found the chicken overcooked and hard to bite.. I hope the management continually monitors the taste and quality of food that it serves.
