Have been ordering here for many years , I had my birthday celebration here recently and even more recently ordered from here for my work Christmas party. Great service, nice and polite. This is a really really good local Indian restaurant, probably worth five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but I am extremely particular! Staff are attentive and friendly with a relaxed neighbourhood vibe. Some years ago on only our second visit we were recognised and welcomed immediately. Food is consistently flavoursome and sizzling and when they say spicy - it is! They gauge customers very well. Recommend for a lovely chilled meal. No rush - take your time is the vibe. I’m so glad we were recommended to it, and in turn very happy to recommend on. 😊

It used to be a decent Indian restaurant/take away. What we had yesterday ( I had mango coconut chicken with pilau rice) was extremely poor quality. Rice was sticky and tasteless, mango and coconut sauce bland, grainy and pieces of chicken dry.

Food was generous in portion and was really yummy! I had the prawn biryani with mango and coconut chicken which was really so good! I also ordered a mango lassi which did not disappoint. My partner also enjoyed his chiken tikka balti and pilau rice! Also the garlic naan was really soft and right crispy! The ambient was also so relaxing and the music played just added to a relaxing atmosphere! Also many thanks for the attentive staff :) All in all very good eats!

For the past few years, I have been placing orders from Taj and have always been pleased with the degree of flavour that each of their meals has! I've been taking friends and family to this restaurant lately, and we've had the most friendly service. The encounter was greatly enhanced by the cheerful, kind, and courteous behaviour of all the servers and waitresses. The food has consistently been delivered on time, hot, and of the highest quality! I would heartily suggest Taj for its delightful cuisine as well as its fun ambience and atmosphere!

Dived into the chicken biryani from Taj and, no joke, it was delish! The rice was on point – fluffy and each bite packed with spice. The chicken was tender and just fell apart, soaking up all that biryani magic. They got the spices just right, cozy but not too hot. It’s like comfort food that’s got its groove on. Big shoutout to Taj for this dish. You gotta try it if you’re all about that biryani life!”

Finally got around to trying the butter chicken with pilau rice from Taj – and it’s a match made in heaven! The butter chicken is rich and creamy, with tender chunks of chicken that are full of flavor. And the pilau rice? It’s a fluffy bed of goodness with hints of spices and a subtle buttery taste that complements the chicken perfectly. Together, they’re like the dynamic duo of comfort food. So good, you’ll want to lick your plate clean!

I have been to many different Indian restaurants and this one is one the best! Very friendly staff that will provide you with more detailed information on the food if needed. The food is excellent, we had the chicken tikka massala, a very well balanced dish. The cheese naan is also recommended. My friend had prawns with sweet potato, also very good. The mango lassi was also delicious! Nice, clean location with beautiful wallpaper.

We usually frequently visit this restaurant, but on this particular visit, the proprietor, engrossed in an international call on his laptop, occupied a table inside, speaking loudly. When we requested him to turn it off, he insisted on keeping it active until 10pm.Surprisingly, on previous occasions,the normally obliging owner had suggested that business was very slow. He didn’t take into account that him being on his laptop loudly would not be a relaxing evening for customers who have spent the day in the office! Not surprisingly we moved elsewhere.

Ordered food from here through ubereats, they missed something out but quickly came back with the missing items plus extra rice. Food also tastes excellent.

OK it’s at the end of my road but I would travel a long way to eat Taj curry. It’s such a family favourite we HAVE to order a post-holiday takeaway immediately on return. We love their chicken tikka balti and aubergine curries. Attention to detail is excellent as in the naan bread variety and other quality sides that are often afterthoughts in other curry restaurants. Go and enjoy.

Absolutely amazing food!! Did not know that restaurants like this still existed. I ordered a garlic king prawn and a chicken tikka Jalfrezi with a chicken tikka biryani and garlic naans. The food was fresh and amazingly cooked. And the service was top tier. Definitely a goto restaurant if you live anywhere in London and even if you live far it is 100% worth the travel. Review for takeaway orders only. The last two times I have ordered from Taj the chicken has been exceptionally tough and unpleasant to eat. The first time I put it down to bad luck, the second time, months later, confirms that this is a regular occurrence. It is unlikely I will be ordering from them again.

This is a lovely authentic Indian restaurant, the dishes are very close to homemade and I have never had a bad meal or cause to complain in all the years I have been coming here. The price is extremely reasonable and coupled with the fact that you can bring your own alcoholic drinks it really becomes very good value for money. If you are looking for good quality authentic food this is the place come, it may not be flamboyant but the service, cleanliness and food quality, range and portions are second to none.

A great restaurant the food is authentic I have been coming here for many years and have never left disappointed. Staff are courteous and attentive and do not rush you out even at closing time. The food is plentiful and is of exceptional value price wise this is a lovely gem of an Indian restaurant. As you can bring your own alcohol it is a very reasonably priced evening out.

The most amazing food in London! My recommendations: Curry: masala curry - it tastes fresh because they have a natural recipe (unlike other shops which use loads of oil and sugar!) Nan: garlic and chili nan Starter: Taj mixed platter Warning: once you’ve tried Taj you can’t go back to other Indian places. Reasonable price!

I asked for a extra bowl but the server was very rude and denied and asked why do i need it. And told me to put the curry in the bowl. Which is unexpected from a restaurant.

I really love the food from this restaurant. The curries have distinctively different flavours from one dish to another. Their meat portions are generous and the curries is not totally covered with large chunks of oignons and peppers like most other indian places. The lemon rice is to die for and the nans are thin , fluffy and crispy. The food taste better eaten in there than as a take away . Ask for the Bengoli special! The place is in need of a make over but the kind owner is always there for a warm welcome and a good chat.

Fabulous food. Great service and prices. Freshly cooked food, couldn’t fault it. The place doesn’t look all that… so my expectations weren’t high but … how wrong was I. The sag and mushroom rice was the best I’ve ever tasted. The madras hot hot hot. The lamb tak tak (chefs choice) was delicious. Not normally a fan of lamb in cuurys but my brothers choice was bang on. Succulent and tasty. The raita was delicious …. Honestly I could go on and on. Everything under £10 and there an offy next door for you to buy your booze.

Wow, what a great experience I had here! Food is really world class, the service and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurant is not licensed, but the staff are more than happy for you to buy a bottle or two from the off license next door. I would really really recommend this place. One of the best Indians I’ve been to in London!

Decent enough local restaurant and takeaway although nobody seems to go there to eat nowadays but that's Covid, Deliveroo etc and all the stuff that has happened over the past 2 years.

If I could put 0 stars I would. This restaurant does not even deserve 1 star. The customer service is disgusting. We have used this restaurant in the past for both takeaway and eat in. On this occasion, the delivery driver was 'unable' to find our home to deliver our takeaway, despite many successful orders in the past. Its a main road and easy to locate. We were told to come and collect our order from a nearby corner shop otherwise the delivery driver will be leaving. When calling the restaurant, they basically said its not their problem and they use a 3rd party delivery company. They said they would contact the driver and call us back. We received no call back. When calling the restaurant back, the man on the phone abruptly and rudely answered, stating his brother will be dropping the takeaway and that there is a problem with the address. When asking what the problem is, he screamed, actually screamed down the phone that he has explained there is a problem with the address (didnt state what the problem was) and that he is talking english! When asking for a refund, he refused to give one. Food arrived cold, and probably contaminated. Extremely rude and you have now LOST customers. I wouldnt recommend anyone to you ! Good luck all!

I have been to Taj a few times now and I highly recommend this restaurant. You certainly won't be disappointed. The food is DELICIOUS with a very nice selection, the staff very friendly. This is my to go place now especially if I have friends coming to visit. Really lovely atmosphere on top of that! Looking forward to another nice evening there!

I used to order from Taj Restaurant quite a lot when I was pregnant and they were always friendly and the food always tasted amazing (it's been a few years). I decided to order this evening as I had a craving for it. The food arrived and smelt delicious. However, I paid £8.95 for Chicken Tikka Masala only to have a few pieces of chicken floating in a whole container full of sauce. I was highly disappointed as this is not the same standard, the portion was ridiculously small! But I'm more disappointed in the man I spoke to over the phone. He told me he'll give me another piece of chicken next time I order, in which I replied "with that sort of portion I doubt I'll be ordering again". He went on to raise his voice at me and was quite rude. I simply responded that they'd need to sort out their portions otherwise they'll lose customers. He continued to go on a rant so I hung up. It's a pity because I really liked Taj and don't get me wrong, the food is still delicious (had to eat it seeing as I paid for it) but out of principle I wont be ordering again because I don't believe you should speak to your customers in such a way and if that's their new portion size then it's simply not worth it.

Nobody in when a group of us arrived at 9pm on a Friday night which appeared to be a worry. We needn't have. The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was great, and 10 happy customers. A great find. Would happily recommend.

We have been dining here for years now and I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. Food is top quality and the customer service is 10 out of 10. Great hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. When we think about celebrations, Taj is always our first option and it never disappoints.

Amazing food, great service. BYOB and the price was fair. Butter chicken with a side of chopped chillis, pilau rice and a peshawari for £14.

Ordered delivery on Uber Eats. Arrived on time and was piping hot, but that's about where the positives end. The korma was very oily and also the wrong colour and too spicy for a korma. Hardly any lamb in it and what little there was was quite dry and chewy. Popodoms were completely crushed, though I accept this is the fault of the delivery driver not the restaurant. Garlic naan was flavourless and soggy and the can of Coke had never been refrigerated, was completely warm, why bother serving it? In their defense, the Saag Paneer was quite nice. Definitely not ordering again though, very disappointeing considering Uber Eats rates them so highly (I suspect these ratings are utter nonsense)

I’ve been living in Acton for 5 years and been here a lot and it is always our takeaway when looking for a curry option. Food is fresh and delicious and not greasy like some other curry houses. I would say this is the best Indian in west London. Not too expensive either! Staff are always friendly and happy to see us...

Not good at all. We ordered a delivery from Uber eats because it had good ratings and to start off with, they forgot to include one of our dishes (chicken chaat). The onion bhaji tasted old and refried (definitely not fresh), the chicken pasanda and saag paneer were too sweet and one of the chefs special dishes was just laced with crushed onions. Overall, a terrible dinner and I definitely won't order from there again and advise others not waste their money. Bangladeshi owned Indian restaurants are dying a slow death because they are out of touch with people's taste buds...and Taj is a prime example of this.

I spent four years of my life living in Bradford (curry capital of UK) and I don't think I ever had a better one up there. Eat in or take-away, the food is always great and the service friendly and prompt. Excellent value for money. Try the Rogan Josh or Lamb Balti with a peshwari naan!
