Had a great Fish & Chip meal here, highly recommended to others

Very friendly pub. Good selection of beers. Decent chippy. Fish, sausages, and vegan alternatives. Close to Bangor pier.

Nice little pub/cafe with plenty of games to occupy the children, did not eat so cannot rate food. Great if you are visiting Bangor Pier

I used to eat years ago here, and than i ate 7 years ago here, and today i ate again same fish and chips so so delicious 🥰🥰🥰. Same good fish and chips i had somewhere in Bournemouth everywhere else is just not wow. And good view outside and fresh cold beer

Fish and chip shop/bar very unique 👌

Very weird. Went on for takeaway chips on the 24th October evening. Woman serving took a whole 5 mins to get round to serving us. Didn't seem interested even even she did serve. Ordered chip butty, got a disc that beeps when order is ready so sat and waited. At least 10 mins. When it beeped I went to the counter and want even acknowledged at all. Realised my order was just sat on the counter half open. opened it to find a quite small chip butty (£4!) with a few butter packets thrown on top. Chips were fine, 3/5. Bread a bit old I suspect. Wouldn't go again. Went to 'Hi Bangor' down the road which was much nicer chips, much bigger portion, cheaper (£2.80) and much quicker and nicer service.

They have an onsite chip shop that is one of the best in an area where there are so many great chip shops. Best ever gravy

The Service was excellent and inviting so we decided to eat in and enjoy a beer with the meal before walking back to the University. Absolutely delicious food and drink well worth the 15 minute walk each way. Did not stay at the premises so could not rate the stay.

Home delivery brilliant - chips dry and absolutely beautiful so was the battered sausage and peas - tonight we had this but was not very warm but 99% of time it's amazing and good helpings.

Couldn’t rate the rooms as I’ve not stayed there. The fish and chips are excellent as they are all freshly cooked to order. There are no glass cabinets where they are kept warm. You order and the food goes down into the fast and straight from there into your cardboard boxes which are nicely branded with their logo. Eat outside and you’ve great views of mountains and the pier and Beaumaris across the straits.

Superb fish and chips and a very nice pint. I'm from the west country and I thought we did fish and chips well. This place does them better. Incredible batter, flaky fish and proper chips. Service was delightful and the place was clean and welcoming.

Staff were super sweet and friendly. Vegan fish and chips was really delicious, very generous size for a small. Pairs perfectly with the curry sauce. First time seeing a jammy dodger milkshake on the menu too, didn’t disappoint. Recommend!

Unique pub with in-house fish and chip shop. Chippy also does takeaway. Pub could do with a more adventurous selection of beers. Fish and chips were very good. Mushy peas were a bit disappointing though, very thin and runny. Overall a good place to go for your fish and chips especially as you can have a beer with them!

Friendly pub near the pier. Unfortunately no Welsh-speaking staff. Food disappointing if you want more than fish and chips. Great for kids.

Tasteless food served in take away boxes and wooden cutlery in the pub. Staff with nothing else to do can't even drop a drink down to the table between them!

As a regular, I can say that this has become me and my families main fish and chip shop. The food is great, as is the atmosphere

Just stopped in for food and drinks,Chipper food such as the fish was a bit greasy for my palate but good portions.Staff were friendly and the view and location was great.Free parking if you are using the Boardwalk which you pay 50 p for pp and kids go free

Really nice pub. Associated with a very generous fish and chips, located in the same building. Good barrel beer (purple moose). And tonight it was bingo night with the local kids. Very warm welcome from the staff.

I have never felt the urge to post a review on Google prior to yesterdays visit. Ordered food for myself and my parents, fish and chips absolutely lovely and the girl behind the counter was very kind and welcoming Fast forward 20 minutes later when I came over to the counter again to order some extras. There was a change in staff and I imagine the manager (the guy who was making all the noise and being very patronising) came out to help. I understand that it is not a legal requirement in the UK to wear gloves while handling food however if he is going to scratch his backside whilst doing so, I do recommend wearing gloves, or even better not do it at all. Needless to say I lost my appetite after seeing this, and I hope he washed his hands before handling more food. Bar staff was also lovely

Fantastic fish n chips and a pint to go with it

First time visiting since it was the Tap n Spile, didn't expect to find a chippy where the pool table used to be! Not sure how well a chippy works in a pub, or is it not a pub? I wouldn't feel super comfortable getting lashed here whilst families are eating on the table next to you! Great location though, with good beer and the food was good.

Quality fish and chips at reasonable prices are served alongside a decent selection of mainstream beers and pub drinks in this recently updated/converted pub a stones' throw from Bangor Pier. Hosts pub quizzes during the week and occasional bingo nights.

Beer and wine prices excellent. Fish and chips sensational with good music and service. Highly recommend if in the area

Was serviced by a very polite women , her name was nia. In uni at Bangor I believe . In her 30’s at a guess . Beer was good hospitality great

It’s a real disappointment compared to the pub it used to be. Before it changed the food was brilliant. Now it’s just fish and chips in a box with plastic cutlery. Such a shame. I won’t be going back.

The chips are seriously average. They give you hardly any chips for the price they charge. Way too expensive

We had fish n chips, and the servings are big for a low price. Wish we had each got the smaller one and tried some of their other items in the menu.

Delicious fish and chips. Among the best we’ve had. Nice decor, clean toilets, friendly service; all round nice place to eat and enjoy. Just a stones throw from the pier too.

nicely refurbished. had the fish and chips twice. fish overcooked twice. and others are saying the same. Stop using that thermometer and just do it on time like every other chippy. I want to love this place but it isn't great what you're serving Is really disappointing.

The refurbished venue looks very smart and inviting. However, it's slightly unexpected in terms of the interior as it looks like a fish & chip eatery, with a bar. We didn't stay. However, I'm sure if you are visiting the Pier and would like a quick drink or food, it may appeal. We visit regularly, so we drove elsewhere to a venue more suitable.

Chip shop and pub, had to order food and beer separately. Staff were helpful and was good to try a battered mars bar!
