Taco Boys in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We thought our booking was for Saturday but realised it was for Friday after Taco Boys debited £96 from our card. Phoned and e-mailed holding our hands up to our error and appealing for a refund or to keep the £96 but credit a £180 voucher as we would struggle to enjoy a meal with the charge on our minds. Given the £180 voucher was for dinner and drinks for 2, the £96 charge amounts to a 114% mark-up and presumably 100% margin for 2 covers. Keeping £276 for a table for 2 when the drinks are still in the bottle feels avaricious and money, rather than customer focused. This review was sent to Taco Boys before posting. Still no reply + Robbie really comfortable with taking, what for me was an upsetting call.

We had the vegan chilli and the halloumi fries. It was amazing and is the best thing we’ve eaten while we’ve been here. I was looking for gypsy kitchen which is what it used to be called. Highly recommend.

Beach - Wrapped and enjoy. Beach setting with Polzeath around the corner waves crashing in - Proper job they say locally and yes I have to agree.

After queueing for more than an hour, sadly almost everything had run out! We literally had some of the last Beet tacos and a chilli with bread. I must add though, what we had was delicious (but messy!) but I think a tad over priced. Staff were very friendly :) and set up on a beautiful part of Polzeath beach

Amazing food from a cool little truck on the beach. Worth taking a walk off the beaten track to a picture perfect sunset spot on the beach for delicious tacos (plenty of vegetarian options) and the brownies...heavenly.

Delicious tacos in a gorgeous setting. We had the KFC fried chicken, beef tacos and rösti tacos. Everything was delicious but the rösti was our favourite. The service is so friendly and quick. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Thank you Taco Boys!

Fantastic tacos from ‘the Boys’ whilst sitting on the Beach on Bank Holiday Monday watching the sun go down. Got there just in time before they started to run out. Delicious beef, beetroot and our favourite the Rosti tacos, plus Corn chips and a cold beer. Heaven!

Be prepared for a long wait on a sunny day! Taco boys is the busiest place in Polzeth and there's a reason for that! Their fresh tacos and other menu items are fantastic using ingredients that deliver unique flavours. I would recommend going before midday to save any disappointment from items being sold out!

We LOVED the Taco boys! We were on holiday and one friend is a vegan, she had great choice (which is something we've struggled with). We were so impressed at the quality and you really cant beat munching a taco on the beach. Well done lads!

We went on a very popular the night as the weather was fabulous, a wait was not a problem because its on such a lovely beach. I love the combination of flavours and the menu is perfect for a vegan as the cheese options can be substituted. The boys are really friendly and create a great atmosphere. Haven't tried the breakfast yet but I'm told its just as good.

Having enjoyed them so much last year, made a point of seeking out the taco boys again this year.... not on baby's bay yet but managed to sort out a delivery by IMing them, which all worked out fine. menu has changed a bit but still fantastic. Tough call between the lamb kofta taco and the vegan chilli as my favourite. and love the way the boys try to support the local economy by sourcing their ingredients from nearby. keep up the great work lads - i will be back !

Had heard so much about these guys who normally operate out of a horse box on Polzeath beach, so was gutted to hear that were not yet on the beach this year due to Covid. However, we found out they were doing some evening deliveries and Sunday morning drive-thru breakfast tacos so were able to try them.... wow ! so fresh, and guacamole to die for !

Fantastic food and service which we picked up very easily and took down to the beach. Really tasty nachos, tacos, burritos and fried chicken. Their service was brilliant. They called me back promptly when I called to order and sorted out our missing taco, even offering to drive it down to the beach for us. It was actually really handy as the food was so good we wanted to order some more! It might be a bit tasty for young children, but the adults certainly appreciated the more interesting flavours. A bland takeaway Taco Boys is not! We will be visiting again and we look forward to them getting back on the beach soon.

Fresh ingredients, freshly made in front of you. I thought they tasted great. But the kids didn’t. But u can ask the guys to put on or take off any of the ingredients so maybe that was my fault. I felt they were a little pricey for the size but I guess that’s what you pay when there is nowhere else to go. Would still recommend anyone to try them.

Perfect lunch stop on our coastal walk from Lundy Bay car park to New Polzeath. We had the beef, pork & hake tacos and would recommend all of them! All cooked to order-and so tasty. Well worth a visit and hope to revisit soon.

Visited 6 times over of 2 week holiday. Never disappointed and food is really really good. Friendly and very welcoming. Slightly pricey but worth it with the taste and what you get. cannot recommend them enough.

Visited soon after the Taco Boys opened and was not disappointed. Loved my monkfish taco and certainly worth a detour to Baby Bay to grab a tasty snack. Great to see that the boys are making an enormous effort to be environmentally friendly.
