On The Boards in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Came for a birthday with group of people, opening time says till 8pm we arrived at 4.30pm and was closed, very disappointing, whole reason we came to truro, ruined night please change opening times on Google

Atmosphere is great but games haven't kept pace and now pretty run down. Shame as main reason to use venue. Shuffle board now not electronic, pool tables are beyond awful, stick to the darts.

The atmosphere was fun, but I found the staff to be really surly and unpleasant.

I attended a corporate event at On The Boards and was impressed with the beers and food, but more so the level of of customer service from Steve and his team was of a standard that is sadly seldom seen these days. Great work, great place to visit and thoroughly recommended and as a bonus they have reopened the late bar upstairs

I wholeheartedly recommend On the Boards - we had a group booking for games and food. The member of staff there was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and it was a busy day so he had a lot going on. All of our young people with parents/carers absolutely had a fab time. We will definitely be returning :-)

Just expensive otherwise nice place

What a fantastic sports bar! Darts, pool, shuffleboard, lots of choices for cocktails and live TV as well! Just wish there were more of these places on the map. Only negative is that parking involves going in the council car park.

On the boards boasts excellent drinks, a fantastic atmosphere, and some seriously fun games! We had a great night with friends playing shuffleboard and pool. None of the group had played shuffleboard before and the staff explained it for us before we began! We had such a fun night and easily could have spent many more hours there too. I recommend booking in advance for a Saturday night as it does get busy. We ate before we went so I couldn't speak to the food but the drinks were good. We will definitely be back!

Lovely place and amazing staff, Went with my friend and his family for his birthday and it was class, staff were lovely one lad made sure we had everything we needed at all times and the games were good fun. Didn’t catch his name but he had tattoos he was brilliant.

Would highly recommend on the boards !! If you’re looking for something to do with the family in the day or out with your friends in the evening! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble will definitely be going back , thanks guys for a brilliant experience!

Ok venue if you're out with the boys and want to drink and play games, as for the food think 10 year old birthday party. Pizza chips and chicken strips. Mum has clearly gone to Iceland.

We visited here (having pre-booked) as part of my hen-do. The games were really good fun, but we were very much left to our own devices - have visited similar places outside of Cornwall and usually get a very friendly greeting and explanation of how things work. Also, we were served at the bar incredibly slowly - it was reasonably busy, but it didn’t seem busy enough to warrant how slow we were served. I would return, but would go in with lower expectations next time!

Always very friendly and lovely staff. We were even able to get a free game or two of ping pong as we waited for our next game to be free which was really lovely. We went for my birthday and when mentioning it in conversation the bar tender poured us all shots which was so nice!(I didn't catch his name but I do know he had a dark brown mullet)

I don't think iv ever met a more amazing host, Katie made us feel amazing, we inly came for 1 game of beer pong and didn't leave! She made sure we were OK and we ended up staying till 12 am...thankyou for the best night xx

Pretty decent for a laugh with friends, drinks are very expensive though.

Outstanding service we was looked after but Brooke and her team very well, nothing was too much trouble and food was amazing and quick, will definitely be returning and would recommend it but booked a table and games cause very popular 😀 😉

12 of us came & played 2 different games. We had a couple of issues of drinks being taken before they were finished & a wrong food order but it was resolved immediately & without aggro or questioning. Wonderful customer service all round, particularly the manageress & assistant manageress. Great night

Very lively atmosphere/vibe, friendly staff, fun pub-style games. Good fun, but drinks are eye-wateringly expensive!

Pricing is above average especially when considering drink choice. The games are good but you are essentially paying for games refereed by a computer monitor. Be careful on the beer pong which is £10 for the table and £25 for the beer (tasted incredibly cheap that nobody liked) The beer pong table we used didn't seem anything more than a coloured table in which case we could have played the game ourselves at home. I am sure it is supposed to be more interactive as the entire time it stayed orange and the timer didn't function or buttons. Staff seemed rushed to deal with you and didn't check up on our experience at all. I have been here twice and overall it's not a bad place but both times we haven't always felt the experience was worth the price. It is nicely decorated and has a clean feel with a good ambience.

We played darts here twice whilst on holiday and it was great. A lovely atmosphere, modern games and friendly staff. It is also fantastic value for money, £5 per person per hour for darts. They also offer other games like beer pong, shuttle board and pool. We are surprised this place isn’t busier. Highly recommend !!

This bar is a breath of fresh air and such an amazing atmosphere. So much choice and variety and the staff are immensely friendly. Manager Katie is fantastic and cannot do enough to help. Will DEFINITELY be back.

The games were a bit expensive but they were really fun and worth it overall. We did shuffleboard and beer pong but the other games looked exciting too. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Especially Katie who was really lovely when our friends were stupid. We will definitely be back! Worth booking ahead because it does fill up.

Great addition to the Truro nightlife scene, although drinks can rack up quickly due to the price!

We live over a 6 hour drive away, and when we visit Cornwall (we have family there) we always spend a few hours visiting this place, there is no where else like it in the country. Brand new very high quality environment, with proper dart boards and darts that are electronic and automatically score etc. The highest quality money can buy snooker table and table tennis table etc also. The staff are super friendly, great laid back atmosphere and the drinks are delicious (we haven't tried the food yet). This place is a gem and Truro/Cornwall are lucky to have it!

Great service, good selection of drinks. Darts were a favourite, got a bit bored with Shuffleboard but well looked after and enjoyed the time there.

Really nice spot, friendly staff. Drinks are a bit pricey but taste great so happy to pay. Toilets are clean (upstairs) and loved the photo booth feature. Only played beer pong but that was great fun so would go again and recommend.

A great new addition to truro. Really good fun regardless of ability. You really need a group of 4 to make it decent we had a group of 8. Everyone always involved with very little dead time between goes. Shuffleboard was particularly good. Clever technology tracking your points etc. Everyone can get involved. Definitely good for people from 18 plus no real upper age limit nothing is too over active. Great host's and staff. Pricing for games is reasonable but you do need to pre book. Food was lovely but not much choice and were more like snacks and sharing bowels.I would definitely eat before then go. Good selection of drinks. Overall a great venue owners should be very proud. Great addition.

Fun way to spend a couple of hours. Friendly staff and not too expensive

The warmest, most welcoming staff I have come across in a long time. We played darts for a few hours, along with lots of food and drinks. So much fun and something a bit different. I’ve booked again for a larger group next month, and the communication from Lydia to help me arrange this has been wonderful.

My partner and I with two dogs had heard about this new place in Truro and we were not disappointed- the whole vibe is fun and funky with gorgeous street type food . I had to go and thank the kitchen team , the food was that good! We enjoyed a game of darts and realised how nice it is to just spend time out ! Thanks !
