Beefeater Newport is one of our faves to go to with our four year old girl, we go for breakfast lunch or dinner ( not on the same day unfortunately!) but this Sunday we went for lunch because I love a roast dinner, and although I never write reviews, I thought this particular visit deserved one. We had Sharron as our server, and Bailey as our barman, both were outstanding, so friendly, helpful and went out of their way for us. My little girl even “took our order” on her writing tablet, and she had a great time. Thanks so much Sharron and Bailey! You made it an excellent Sunday!

Lovely food with sumptuous cocktails. Good value for money. Our waitress (sorry didn't get her name) was amazing given there were very few staff on duty. One criticism they need another bartender as the lad on duty, although fantastic, was run off his feet, especially considering it was a very busy Fiday night. Otherwise, a good evening

Spot on for mum! Brought the family for Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day . Mum ate free!!!! Bargain! Dave the manager made our day nothing was to much the place was so busy though. Lucky we booked, not sure what it’s like on a normal day though

At the end of a long difficult day, being greeted like a regular, fussed over and treated with exceptional kindness was everything I needed. Massive thanks to Brad and Neil for a fantastic customer service experience that easily surpassed many more traditionally high end establishments.

Very friendly staff, nice clean restaurant. Their breakfast menu is great and I visit regularly for this purpose with colleagues from work. My main issue is that the burger I had for lunch had a lot of gristle on the side, and it tasted of burnt chemicals - i had to run to the toilets to spit it out. Undoubtedly the worst food I have had in a restaurant ever. I have had a similar experience here before unfortunately about a year ago, again for lunch - a burger that was very gristly/tasted foul, but assumed it was a one off. I work in the vicinity so it is a convenient place to visit for lunch, but will not be going back for cooked food.

Had a very enjoyable family dinner on Saturday, food was spot on and had a great service from Ryan, thank you, look forward to our next visit.

Decent pub next door to the Premier Inn. Breakfast was fab, hot and not overcooked. Barman Bailey was very friendly and accommodating. Was great to have a little taste of a drink we'd not had before, cheers Bailey for the recommendation, bottle of Shanky's ordered.

We visited for the all you can eat breakfast which was an absolutely bargain at £9.99 for cooked plus continental choices. The selection was brilliant and there wasn’t really any more you could have wished for. The only downside was the less than welcoming and abrupt manner of the woman who served us on arrival, however we will not let that put us off returning for another breakfast in the near future.

Bailey served me drinks at the bar and he was totally fantastic and deserves a credit, he was extremely amusing and made me feel very welcome and relaxed please give him a bonus. Ryan was our table waiter and he was extremely quick and efficient and always helpful and attentive, please give him a credit too.

We popped by for a drink at the end of the evening before we headed back to the Premier Inn, which we were staying at for the night. We were served by the lovely Ryan who when my other half decided that she wasn't sure what to have, said that he made a 'mean sex on the beach' - Transpires she agrees! For my Guinness, he went the extra mile and created a shamrock on the top - Impressive! A subsequent visit the next day and he remembered us, continuing his great service and cracking a couple of jokes. Keep being you Ryan and thank you buddy! 🙏🏻

Visited two nights First night I had the Beef and ale Pie. Whilst it was tasty the pastry was rock hard. The 2nd night was Valentines day :-( Had to eat early as it was fully booked for middle to late evening - no surprise. I have the Surf and Turf, Steak cooked exactly as ordered medium rare and the calamari and prawns vere excellent. Finished the meal off with the Cheesecake with Cadbury® Crunchie with extra Ice cream again very tasty. Service was very good and what topped it off was the 25% Blue Light Card Discount!

We stayed in the Premier Inn for two nights (we've stayed a couple of times before due to our voluntary role) so spent a fair amount of time in this Beefeater. For this particular weekend, on the Friday night we had a great experience whilst having a couple of drinks - Bailey was behind the bar and was a superstar. A great welcome, conversational and also pointed out what is now my new favourite whisky liquor. The next evening we came in for dinner and looked after by Isaac who was absolutely brilliant with his service too, cracking out a couple of jokes and keeping us at ease. Bailey came over with our drinks order at one point and instantly remembered us which was also a lovely touch. Bailey and Isaac are a credit to you guys. (Also the manager who appeared to be working all hours that Saturday evening (3rd) and breakfast Sunday morning (4th)). We'll be back for sure!

Pre booked a table, when turning up with my family, we were seated on a table near the entrance with awful bright lights which are not ideal when having a meal, so kindly asked if we could have an alternative table. We could see free tables, however we were told that was the only one and basically like it or lump it. The member of staff was unhelpful and rude. We decided to leave and go elsewhere where we’d get better service.

Excellent service from a guy called Isaac. Pointed me to some things I hadn't realised were on the menu and made sure I was comfortable and well-looked-after throughout my meal.
