Popped into Taart for lunch whilst on business in the area. The cafe was spotlessly clean and the service was friendly and with a huge smile. I had the takeaway hash box (minus spinach) and it was delicious, roast potato, bacon, egg and beans all cooked to perfection and very tasty. I will definitely use Taart again when I'm in the area.

this place won my heart, the atmosphere is like grandma's house, it smells like a dessert fresh out of the oven, the staff is kind... the warm smiles won my heart, not to mention that it's also baby friendly, they have chairs for babies which is perfect.

What a lovely independent coffee shop! We were travelling north on M5 and looking for a place to stop that wasn’t motorway services. We found this gem by chance. Staff were lovely, food yummy avd beautifully presented, and the cafe had a nice relaxing atmosphere. The goose and badger coffee was very flavoursome. We will visit again if we are ever passing!

What a lovely little coffee shop. Run by two local women, this place is wonderfully welcoming & v dog friendly. The cakes, coffee & cooked items are all delicious. It’s a real gem.

Went for lunch with two children under 1. The service and food was incredible. The owner was so accommodating towards the children, high chairs available and smaller portions offered for the babies. So friendly and we can’t rate them highly enough. Will definitely be returning soon. Came in shortly before they were closing and they still served us food and didn’t rush us at all. Thank you for a wonderful experience and wonderful customer service!

My mum has an egg allergy so we often seek vegan options to make this easy, I bought a courgette and lime cake for my mum for her 60th birthday and it was delicious! She loved it so much we ordered another two cakes for her birthday party! Would highly recommend, lovely ladies and look forward to visiting you for breakfast one day!

Absolutely love this cafe and it’s warm welcome and the must delicious food. Great variety of food, tasty, wholesome and always excited to come here. The home made vegan carrot cake was the best and so was the boost bar. The best hot chocolate and it was hot and lovely smooth coffee. This cafe never disappoints and is a definite must.

It was a nice cafe in a pleasant rural village (where I grew up!) Staff very nice and the cafe was clean and tidy. Price point on the menu seemed high and perhaps contributed to the lack of customers. Service was good.

On Saturday we went to their “Surprise Supper” and had a very good night. Those ladies certainly can cook. We have in the past dropped in for a light lunch which is always good with homemade ingredients. My wife always praises their coffee.

Popped in for breakfast with my wife on a Saturday when we didn’t have time to venture further afield. I had a sourdough bacon buttie which was very, ver good. My wife had a ‘concoction on toast’ which if I recall correctly consisted of bacon, spinach hash and homemade baked beans on sourdough which she loved. Good grub and good service. Well worth a try if you want a quality breakfast which is a world away from a greasy spoon cafe!

You cannot go wrong here whether you want something “healthy” or a treat. Everything is made on the premises or nearby and is fresh and wholesome. The coffee and tea are first rate. The flapjacks are seedy! And I mean that in the best possible way.

A stylish, spacious cafe with very friendly staff and a great range of food and drinks to choose from. I had a decaf oat milk flat white and it was delicious! As a vegan, we could choose from a veganised breakfast bean dish, salad, dahl with rice and caramelised onions and another dish I forget. The dahl was spicy and filling. We had a brownie after too. Recommended a visit!

Absolute hidden gem and deserves to do very well!! All fresh and local ingredients used, I had the potato hash which was perfect. Delicious coffee also. Lovely open and well decorated space. Went to a Saturday supper last month with friends and it was a five course delight. Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and the service was excellent. Visited with a friend for lunch recently and had great food in a nice relaxing atmosphere highly recommended.

Having a business near to North Petherton its always been a struggle to think of places to take clients or team members for a meeting and bite to eat that isn't pub grub.

Taart is THE place to eat in the Bridgwater area. Breakfast options are served all day which is brilliant for a lazy Saturday! Lovely environment to relax in and really friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend! ps - red velvet cake is AMAZING!!

Can’t recommend Taart enough. Such a cosy welcoming place with a chilled out atmosphere. Very accommodating as I don’t eat meat or dairy but made me an amazing hot chocolatier with oat milk. Cakes and rolls were very tasty and bought a loaf of the sourdough as well. Could quite easily spend a morning here letting the world go by. Immaculately clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely got to come and visit this hidden gem.

We live in the village and are delighted that such a lovely cafe has opened as to be frank there is nothing else of note to get something to eat locally. The ladies that run this cafe are really nice, very welcoming. Decor is wooden tables and chairs with some art on the walls for sale.

Just visited this new cafe for breakfast. The food, tea & coffee were excellent, lots of great veggie options. The two ladies were lovely & friendly, we will definitely be back to support this great local business.

A great addition; small independent cafe with interesting range of food and drink offer. Caters for normal tastes and also for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free customers. Interesting salads with imaginative combinations and some really wholesome offers - the potato hash was a particular favourite. Specials change daily and today’s risotto (butternut squash, sage with a Parmesan crisp) was beautiful. Understand that they use local produce and everything is made to order. And finally - the cakes are to ‘die for’.....can highly recommend the brownie and the tiffin. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience and extremely good value....with attentive service they deserve to do well.
