Staff are another level of rudeness. I did an uber eats order and they missed items off. They were so rude and told me to come to the shop to pick it up - what's the point of uber eats then?! I asked them politely to send it by taxi so they hung up on me. They put the phone down on me twice, and another time just left the phone on & put it down on the shop counter, and ignored me. Attitude is abysmal. I asked for the owner's phone number to complain, they hung up again on me. The food is good but Every time I order I have issues. I won't be reordering from here. Teach your staff some basic manners! Once you've done that, you can reply to my review, don't bother otherwise. Further to your reply, uber was NOT the issue, your staff are the REAL issue. They are so rude, and it's not my first experience with their bad and inexcusable behaviour. Don't shift the blame pretending it was uber, your staff messed up my order. Uber are excellent. Sadly can't say the same about your staff. Maybe call a meeting and teach them how to treat customers, that would be a great starting point.

Brilliant mixed grill. Large portions and tasty food. Super size naan with zaatar is delicious

I've been going to Taam since it first opened in the old shop. The food is excellent value, generous portions. Burgers are huge and delicious. There is a wide range of Moroccan influenced food, curries, fusion Asian. This is not BORING ASHKENAZI FOOD! Servers are friendly and helpful. Takeaway closes at 10pm Sunday to Thursday. Closed for Friday and Shabbat. Owners are religious Jews I just wasted 20 mins reading negative reviews which are worthy of a fiction prize. What is wrong with you people? Is Lashen Hora your sole excuse for existence?

The tastiest food around. The shawarma was the best I've had in a long time. Burgers were incredible, I had a Tikka Burger and it was fresh, cooked on the grill in front of me. Great food, really enjoyed eating it. Great atmosphere too. Lovely staff nice and clean. Next trip I need to get a kosher curry

Apart from when owner shove my daddy against window and held a knife to him when we went for meal nearly 2 years ago. Our feedback got removed. My daddy is suffering PTSD from the event. The best restaurant in Manchester... Every time I come I order a different meal... Today we ordered steaks and hamburgers. So the service here is the best and the dishes are good and respectable and most importantly the service is at a high level... I got to talk to Amos and he has a huge heart and care that you will always leave with a good experience. I recommend coming and enjoy. Amos is the king 👑

Terrible. Went in for one item. Place was empty. Food wasn't coming. I asked a few times and kept saying would be done. After 30min said I had to leave as got too long. Asked for money back so could go. Guy behind counter started screaming at me and told me he would beat me up. Am shocked. Seriously considered calling the police at the time

Best middle Eastern food and best Shwarma in Town! Teams Shwarman beats any kosher shwarma in London any day of the week!! The staff are really friendly and professional and the food is always on point!! Really high quality!!

You have removed all feedback about the incident of when we came for a meal and Mr Amos attacked my uncle. You responded that we are trying to damage your business which has no truth to it at all. Mr Amos brought a knife to my uncle. He break my uncle's watch and my uncle had bruising. My uncle is suffering PTSD. My uncle is a holy man. He is cousins with the late Baba Sali. What you did was disgusting. The next day we go to the barber next door only to find out they have injunction against Mr Amos. This is a bad man. We demand an appology

I would be genuinely scared to come in again after the behaviour of the staff. Food was good but the service was disgusting. They scream at you if you ask them even politely how long the food will take. I will probably receive a rude response by the owner, but that's also not professional. Let's see what they come back with. Obviously no apology.

Food was decent. But, the service was really rude. One guy was OK, but the one who put the salads in the wrap was so rude it was almost funny. The place was also really dirty too. When I came, I couldn’t sit of any tables despite the place being empty as lots of leftover rubbish was on them. It seems others have commented on this place having rude service and the response from management seems defensive. I think the concept and food is fine, why not also ensure service is good too?

Amazing service and delicious food.

I found 3 PIECES OF PLASTIC on my child's burger. This was a kids meal and I happened to (luckily) open the bun and check the burger to make sure there were no onions on it as we all know children can be picky with veg. You can imagine my horror when I found 3 pieces of PLASTIC instead. This is a SERIOUS choking hazard. I called up the restaurant to let them know. I spoke to the manager who wouldn't give me his phone number to send him a picture of the plastic, as if he's so high up in society that his phone number is that private, and claimed they don't have email either. He just said next time you come in show me a photo. Well here is your photo, right here on this review. Do you want other customers to choke until you see a picture and make me come in to the restaurant? He also claimed that at no point do the burgers come in to contact with plastic - well then please explain how the plastic was on the burger, and why it happened to us last year too (another incident). The manager was unprofessional and didn't care at all that a kid could have choked. I might actually report this to health and safety, I wouldn't want it to happen to someone else. Clearly the burgers come in to contact with plastic, so please be aware and check them before consuming.

I have been visiting for years. Tonight’s meal was the worst I have ever had. The hummus and chicken were inedible so salty. The lady behind the counter was rude and disinterested, rolling her eyes. It will be my last visit here

Horrific service and food equally as bad. Don't order a hot take-away. You'll be lucky to get it within a couple of hours and if you do it's odds on to be cold!

Took awhile for food to arrive but food was amazing!!

Had the Chicken Shishlik main with salad and sweet potato fries. Sat upstairs, service hit and miss but staff are friendly. Food was very nice.

Dear Taam, finally 1 Restaurant with delicious hot food in Manchester! I have been a few times in the past, and I really feel it just gets better and better. Coming from London, a city full of kosher restaurants, Taam really beats all of them, they know how to cook their food, even the dips, especially the chilli, it’s not just spicy, it’s spicy with taste. They are not stingy with their portions. It’s a typical Israeli style restaurant, but with good food. The servers are extremely friendly maybe even too friendly. If you know the meaning of good food, you will really enjoy it! And btw.. I have ordered in the passed via there App, it’s the best thing! It’s easy simple and fast. Enjoy

Customer service: Non-existent (man shouted at us when the machine for payment didn’t work) Food: Slow and mediocre. Chicken soup came in a cup - we had to collect our food. And we payed £2 for 2 cups of tap water. Very strange experience…

I really didn’t like this restaurant it was very poor service and we paid for water and the water came in a cup the restaurant was really poor and I am really disappointed I could of got a better meal at Mc Donald’s.

This place is horrendous, a disaster. They don’t know what they are doing. This is not the best kosher place in Manchester. We waited to order to be told to use a machine, the machine didn’t know water was out of stock so it charged us. They wouldn’t even give us two water. We waited ages for the food. Didn’t get half of it and what we did get was awful. NEVER AGAIN

Best shawarma in town (plus kosher), friendly staff and fresh food

Had 3 takeaways tonight. Disgusting - chicken schnitzel was overdone, tough and tasteless. The chips I think had given up the will to live - not hot and soggy. What a difference to a year ago. Never again.

Come to this place for decent tasting scwarma, they have excellent sharp knives to cut the meat into delicious pieces to fit into either a laffa or pita of your choice. They may even pull their knives onto customers and threaten to turn you into a schwarma laffa if politely requested. Hopefully they will fix their CCTV soon

We came with visitors as this place is often recommended to kosher eaters in Manchester. Unfortunately, service was slow and unattentive, my burger was dry and overcooked, and plates were filthy with fingermarks and oil stains. Will not recommend this place to others.

If i would be the owner of this take out the first one to be fired is the lady at the till she should be ashamed of herself!!!! Customer service is terible Treat customers like dirt. No manners whatsoever, make you feel like they are doing the biggest favour to serve you. The whole place is just one mess no one knows what they are doing Just suggesting kind advice to the owner: once that lady leaves, taam might have a chance of succeeding. Good luck

Best tasting food! Took my family out for supper. Wait time was long but only because the place was heaving! Staff are friendly and extremely efficient. Food was well worth the wait. Chicken tikka masala was tops! Portion sizes are large and prices are very low. All things considered was a great place to come and cant wait to come again

Basically I have ordered food via the app through foodhub order came an hour later then expected and the food was completely cold and off and got some wrong food after all I have spoken to the manager he was aggressive and angry knocked down the phone it’s disgusting customer service please avoid

Best grill in town and strictly kosher no more words needed

Next level Shawarma! Real meat delicious. Lots of enticing toppings you would only see on holiday or on tv food channel. Pricey but worth it because it's real soul food and huge portion. Way superior to ordinary uk kebab. Fresh nan bread is much more delicious than pita. Made me a happy bunny. Good sense of hummous ;)

Top Quality Kosher food. Probably the best in North England I well recommend their food to anyone interested in quality Kosher meaty food.

Good wraps. Try mixing the male staff with some female ones. The faces weren't as friendly. Service could be better.

Placed an online order that showed it would be delivered in 25 minutes. We waited over an hour and a half for our food to be delivered. I called to see where our food was many times but nobody answered the phone. The tracker on the website was never updated either. Customer service is non existent. The 3 portions of chips included in our order were inedible - ice cold and like rubber. The lady who delivered the food, when we said to her we have been waiting ages she said very rudely - we have been very busy…Well I won’t be ordering from here again! And I am not interested if the owner puts any reply to this review telling me this is lashan hara. This is the whole purpose of reviews…. People need to be aware of the good and the bad and the owners need to be able to handle critisism where necessary.

Good fast food place, quite reasonably priced. It can be a bit noisy and there is no table service so if you dine-in you order at the counter and take to your table. Owner and staff very generous, friendly and helpful and the food tastes quite good. Wouldn’t recommend for a special occasion but very good for a quick meal.

I found the food tasty however it could have been served with a smile. Instead it was shoved in my direction with a grunt. I felt as if he was doing me a favour by spending hard earned money in his establishment. This is an honest review.

I can not offer a rating on the food as I never received any. This rating is purely based on the customer experience. I placed my order on the website nice and early and selected the first collection time which was 6.25pm I arrive just before and waited, and waited and waited with no signs of anyone coming to open the store. I called no answer obviously it's not opening up so I left. I had a chat with the next door business and they said they don't always open on Saturday and there were a few customers in the same situation. I had a hungry child and girlfriend in the car, eventually we left. My gf called again at 7.30pm because obviously we wanted our money back and luckily someone was there to answer the phone. It was the owner himself who started by being SO rude to my gf!!! He brought in that they are Jewish and if we knew Jewish law and the exit of shabbat that ended at 6.24 WE should have known he will not have time to prepare any food at 6.25!!! Actually no, why are YOU allowing customers to order and sending them order confirmations and taking their money, knowing you will not be open? The owner said he is rich and does not need my money, he will give us the money back. In a completely ridiculous unfolding he started apologize AFTER he was aggressively rude, and gave us his number so we can call and be taken care of when we order again. What kind of behaviour is this?!?? Surreal. Very disappointed in the end I hope to try the food at some point in the future.

An accessible eatery with great service. The servers go above and beyond to help (thanks for the chips!). There are 2 floors to eat. Downstairs, or upstairs which is split into areas to give privacy and space. To come in you enter through two doors. Upstairs is only accessible via stairs. Great service and great food...!

Kosher food is horrible in Manchester. The food used to be good here. I think I'll stick to non kosher food from now on. Absolutely disgusted by the takeaway I ordered. Even my own dog turned up its nose to it. Never again Ta'am.

The Israeli experience in Manchester...I love it!!! I miss Israel and it's all there the fast, friendly Israeli chefs the good middle eastern food. The food quality is top notch and the authenticity is amazing.

Ordered online but had to pay a £3 service charge (?) despite the fact I had to pay a charge for delivery. Still I was looking forward to the food. Unfortunately the chicken was incredibly dry and tough to eat. The salad and hummus were very very salty, almost inedible. I also ordered red peppers which wasn’t included in my order. There’s a better grill near me so I’ll be ordering from them instead in the future.

Food is generally tasty. However, on last 2 online delivery orders , they delivered the wrong side orders and desserts! If you don't have that food item then either remove it from your online menu or call the customer whether they want to substitute, but don't charge money assuming that the customer wants fried cauliflower instead of mushrooms, and chocolate cake instead of toffee pudding...And wasted my time complaining on the phone. It's a shame as we WERE good customers..

Ordered through Uber eats this week. Both Taam and delivery driver forgot part of my order despite the full order being on the receipt in her hand. The actual other items that arrived were good but the quality check just clearly wasn't there. Partners daughter missed out on her dinner though. Refunded instantly through uber. Won't be using their food delivery again.

Customer service is non-existent and the owner is the rudest person I have ever met. The food was OK, but that’s no excuse. PS Thanks for your reply. For the record, the cake was ordered from the page you, yourself, directed me to. The food arrived minus 2 drinks and a cake that had been paid for. No explanation or apology. When I contacted you, you admitted you knew about the omissions and then, 10 days after the part order had been delivered and consumed, you told me (for the first time) that there was a delivery charge of £20! Outrageous and that’s aside from your rudeness.

Service horrendous, no idea of customer service at this restaurant. Delivered food totally wrong. Food has been known to be nice here but the attitude to customers and overall rudeness leaves a real bad impression unfortunately. Shame.

Called to try to place order and was handled very rudely by staff saying I should go online as they cant take orders by phone that would be fine but her tone of her voice was like she was doing me a favour. So took my business elsewhere. Personally would not go where the staff are rude or feel entitled.
