We came across this Cafe while on a long leisure Bike ride, we had no intention of food until we saw it and it tempted us to call by. My partner popped in make sure we could sit by the window so we could keep an eye on the bikes outside, the lady was very accommodating and very welcoming. First impressions great and a lovely touch on the menus with a slogan of something like no strangers there, just friends, I really liked that. The menu was very good with plenty of choice and pricing as most similar establishments. Very clean place with a warm, friendly atmosphere. I work within customer service industry, and this place is spot on with customer service, superb, quick, super friendly !! A few locals were in at the same time and how nice to see such friendly service on first name terms, we didn’t feel out of place or anything, from entering to leaving, we felt welcomed and comfortable. We ordered two cooked breakfasts and two pots of tea, the lady asked us if we would like mugs or pots so we said whichever…. We received mugs and how nice to receive a good sized mug, Some cafes you get such a small size mug, I must say this place you get quality aswell as quantity, The breakfasts arrived and how delicious they looked!! The Boston sausage was to die for, first time trying it and it was bursting with flavour, so delicious. I can honestly say we will be back sometime in the future, we will probably plan a bike ride again in the area just so we can visit hahaha Thank you for such a great breakfast and service, Highly recommended

Sylv was such a lovely lady. Service was quick and food was tasty. Just glad this isn't our local as we would be huge :-) however would certainly come again on our next visit Thank you

I’ve heard lots of folk saying how good Sylv’s Sunday Roasts are, however I normally cook my own. Thanks to this pesky winter bug I decided to see if what I’ve been hearing was true, so I ordered myself a Roast Beef Dinner today with Apple Pie and Custard as a dessert treat. The lunch arrived piping hot, served with a lovely smile and a jolly chat. After sampling the offering I can confirm that all I’ve heard is, in fact, correct. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented and perfectly portioned. It is also excellent value for money by the way, so winner all round in my book. What I should have done was take a before and after photo but I had demolished my dinner before that thought came into my head. Than you Sylv, I really enjoyed my dinner today.

Lovely service and food, Went for a breakfast (which were great portions for a good price) We were greeted at the door and seated, all staff were incredibly polite and clearly cared about the local and new customers, The coffee was lovely (I'm very picky about coffee) and the food was great, Everything was served piping hot, staff were happy to change parts of the meals without hassle and incredibly caring. The cakes looked amazing but I was so full that unfortunately I couldn't manage one! Definitely recommend for a lovely meal!

Lovely village location. Easy on street parking outside. Very friendly welcome. Comfy surroundings. Great breakfast. Proper meaty Boston sausages. Great bacon. All the usual trimmings. Served fresh and hot. It may be a little pricier than some places, but the ingredients are better quality. Not the 0.1% meat sausages, deep fat fried served at some places!! You get what you pay for. Would recommend.

We found Sylvs coffee shop by mistake best mistake we have made. The warm welcome you receive from SYLV herself is lovely, the best breakfast we have had in a while with the best sausage you will taste. NO PLASTIC SAUSAGE HERE. People were also coming in and placing dinner orders for delivery, all homemade. SYLV'S is open 7 days a week from 8:00 am; if you are in the area, go and give it a try; you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

My nan gets food delivered from here usually once a week (Friday fish and chips). Each day they have specials that are about £6. No delivery charge. Always delivered hot and on plates. Delivery people are lovely and friendly and food fantastic. We have often ordered food from there while I visit. Honestly can't recommend enough. Especially for any elderly or disabled people that might struggle day to day. Have a day off and enjoy someone bringing you a tasty, hot and good value meal. Really fantastic

Visited when our kitchen was being removed and were left with limited facilities. It was a Sunday therefore we chose the Sunday lunch and were impressed all round with the quality of the food and service. We will return again at some point but continue to inform others about this outstanding little cafe. The only negative is that the toilet facilities require updating but could have been done by now.

Having visited this little cafe`for take-away rolls in the past which were excellent, we thought that as we were passing through we'd try the Sunday lunches, and we weren't disappointed. Choice of turkey, pork or lamb - which we chose, served with boiled & roast potatoes, roast parsnip, Chantanay carrots, cabbage, peas, Yorkshire pudding (don't think they were home made, but still OK), and lashings of lovely thick gravy, The plates were so full, I knew I wouldn't manage it all, but hubby made very short work of his and finished off with apple pie & cream for dessert, which he said was also very good.

i visited Slvs cafe today (25/11/16) and i was very disappointed that one of the cups was dirty and my teapot leaked and there was not any offer to exchange it for a teapot that did not leak . The menu was ripped in half or had fallen out and i had poached eggs on toast with the most pathetic looking bread ever ! (Tesco own value it tasted like ) after that i was charged £6.55 for poached eggs on toast and a cup of tea complete rip off and very disgusted. The member of staff was talking very loudly which is very off putting the man in front of me was very local and they made a big fuss of him yet i got second rate service ( i am not local to Heckington ) but it feels like they treat the locals better than those who do not live in the village .I will not be going back buck your ideas up

Popped in for a full English and wasn't disappointed. The Olympic breakfast filled me up for the whole day and you can tell good quality food is being cooked here. Staff were brilliant and welcoming. A 5th star would have been achieved had the meals of come out closer together though however this really is only a small issue and if half stars were available it could easily go down as a half loss. Well worth a visit though as Heckington is a lovely big village with lots of nice people who enjoy life a little slower. Take the slight detour the next time you're on the A17, you won't regret it.

After a five mile walk in dripping rain we were ready for a hot lunch and pot of tea and we found what we were looking for in Sylv's Coffee Shop in Heckington. It does not look especially inviting from the outside, but there is a pleasant surprise when you step inside together with a warm welcome from the manageress. We ordered fish, chips and garden peas and a plate of pasta with fresh salad. This was very tasty and was followed by a delicious slice of strawberry gateau and dime bar gateau. We washed it all down with a cup of tea, but it did not quite taste the same with long-lasting milk from sachets. The café was very busy and obviously very popular on Fridays for the home-made fish and chips! We will return....

Stopped in Heckington and wanted a lunch we found Sylvs, from the outside did not look much, went inside and it was spacious and very clean with nice tables. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only had a light lunch which we found in expensive and very tasty. The coffee was nice and the position in the centre of the village by the car park is ideal. There was some outside seating in the front. I saw the deserts and looked amazing. This place is Well worth a look if you are passing. (Not far from the A17).

First went to Sylvs 4 years ago and her welcome convinced us that moving there was the right thing to do. We've now become regulars - especially on a Friday for Fish and chips - which I have never liked before! This is, quite simply, just the best fish and chip supper that exists! The fish is fresh from Grimbsby and is cooked on the premises - no cooking at home and heating up in a microwave here! The chips are hand prepared and cooked while you wait.Added to the excellence of the meal is the friendly and efficient waiting staff and a lovely, friendly atmosphere. My wife and I have been eating at Sylv's, for a number of years now - either on our own or in a much larger party of friends and relatives. Sylv and her staff are always obliging and friendly. As soon as we walked into the Stone Arms, both my wife and I, was greeted by the waitress/bar maid, who was so polite, charming and very welcoming. She showed us to our table and even though we were early, as our names were reserved the night before, there was no concern so we ordered our drinks. There was no rush to order, and the place was full with customers both in the restaurant and the bar. Our starters arrived and were lovely, fresh and delicious. We ordered the small Sunday dinners (small they were not), they were cooked to perfection with the cauliflower cheese sauce to die for. I was so full that I elected for a coffee. My wife ordered the apple crumble for dessert (I did taste a small bit - very yummy). All in all a wonderful experience. Staff were very lovely and so polite. Smiles all around. In my opinion, and I have been to all the restaurants in Lincoln, it was the best and we both thoroughly recommend you book. My only issue? ? Parking! The car park was full. But plenty of side streets to park in. Highly recommended.
