Called in for a quiet pint earlier today, and just because I didn't say thank you when I was handed my change the landlady though it was ok to call me a T#a#. You can work out what she actually said. This was at 1:15pm, it's a pub I've supped in since the Seventies, but never again. You have been warned.

After drinking (and working here) for the last 3 years on and off I honestly have to say what a pleasant place to walk into under the new management. Fabulous lady, very welcoming. The pub was so clean and smelt lovely. This will be my new local once again 😊

Me & my finance had a great time in here last night! Bartender was great, think his name was John? (If you see this mate I’m sorry we forgot your name 😂) service was top quality, prices are really good & great vibes! We’ll definitely be back for a few!

Minus nearly £1k in my pocket over all after this place. I used to love this place to bits as a doorstaff. However I was left with no wage even though on appeal of Landlady I managed to changed the company I work for to be able to work there further. Unfortunately my trust is too big for some people and was left with no wage. Sadly don't recommended too deal with workwise.

I came here on Saturday night, was playing on one of the fruit machines. I had £36 in my balance at the time of me playing on some free spins. I hit a jackpot of £100 and after this happened the machine froze. A manager then came over to speak to me and said if you want it sorting then ring the number on the side alternatively write your number on here (some till roll) and we will get the maintenance man to ring you. I’ve rang the company and they said the machine doesn’t belong to them it’s rented out to the pub. So you will need to contact them. After 3 days of ringing and no answer to the pub I rang the brewery. Now they are saying that they need me to wait until next Wednesday (20/12/23) for them to investigate this further. I won the money fair and square and it now seems they don’t want to pay it to me. I WOULD PROBABLY AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Went in for a Late drink Bar staff dressed In Octoberfest uniform and really amazing so friendly . Music got switched off around 11pm Dj was complaining about it and also about 15 people on the dance floor. Music apparently switched off because of the boxing. I asked the bar staff whether they could switch on in the background whilst boxing on and they said that it could be only authorized by the manager who was sat down watching the boxing. I went over to ask if we could put the music on whilst the boxing my was on and she said she had 200 people waiting to watch the boxing (she didn’t) and I said about 15 people were about to leave and she said she didn’t care . With that I said ok and left the area as im Not one for confrontation I just wanted to dance with the rest of the dance floor. About 10 mins passed and I the landlady came over to kick off at me to tell me if I wasn’t happy I was welcome to leave. in the time since we’d last spoken all I’d done is chat to someone I knew and rejoin my party for the evening, the landlady was very aggressive and shouting at me. Her bar staff randomly removed my drink which was 3/4 full and told me I could either leave or stay my choice but as she’d already taken my drink and at this time I waS talking to the lady I opted to leave. Such a disappointment I’d heard such good things about the after hours at the witch. As a fellow nightclub owner I’d never talk to someone the way in which I was spoken to. I’d avoid in future with a barge poll as the management at extremely discivilised and only interested in clearly their own gain and Statius rather than their customer

From what I can remember it was a great place for a few beverages, there was a top quality DJ and morish drinks prices and lavish outdoor illuminated beer garden.

Only popped for a drink, friendly staff, nice pint, and a fab pub dog!

I visited to this place for first time with my couple mates and 👎🖕the mental Security👎 asked for ID and I showed him the pictures but still ask for physical ID, So absolutely no good idea to go there for night club.

It's the only real sports pub in Northwich. Lots of TV screens, covering every live sport available. Large drink selection at a competitive price, but very little real ale. It's pretty large with a beer garden and busy at weekend usually with live music in the evening. Serves some snacks.

I came to northwich to visit friends and they suggested this pub with very good reconmendation but on arrival I found the bar staff to be rude and miserable looking, not to mention that the staff looked as if they had either been dinking on the job or taking dugs. The toilets were filled with used drug bags. It was unkept and an all round dispointment. Me and my friends left early to take our custom elsewhere. Would avoided at all cost. Would say the only positive from the night is where I know I will not be going again.

This will be a long one! Went here for karaoke with a friend for our first night out out since the before times. Had an absolute blast. Probably would have felt that way anywhere, but the reasons for 5* are as follows: 1. I ordered the wrong wine in error. Took the sealed bottle back to the bar and the bar manager swapped it, no problem. That is above and beyond in my opinion, as it's a consumable. 2. My friend went to the bathroom and while she was there, a young man started harassing me. As a strong, middle-aged woman, I can handle this kind of thing, but he was relentless. I spoke to a young chap who was collecting glasses and within seconds, security arrived and removed the gentleman. They then checked I was okay and if I needed anything. 3. My friend was *ahem* unwell (as middle-aged women, we forgot we weren't as capable as we were in our twenties). The security guy had seen me with her, came and got me so I could take care of her, then helped my husband and I get her safely into his car (yay for partners who volunteer to be your taxi). 4. The owner of the bar spoke to me after the gentleman that had harassed me earlier was removed from the pub entirely for doing the same to someone else to make sure I was okay. That was so kind, and unnecessary, but made me feel like I was a valued customer, even though I had never been there before! Highly recommend the Swinging Witch for a bloody good night out out in Northwich. Just remember that you are not 22 anymore.

It's ok but it's weird now, I liked it when it was for older people but it's trying to be modern with a "dancefloor" that's too small and it doesn't feel the same. I'm 22 myself but I liked sitting in there speaking to people in there because some older people have interesting lives but it's all just people close to my age on weekends now and no-one wants to know anyone anymore they're just rude for no reason.

Came here for a drink with work on Black Friday. Only stayed here for one drink so rating off what I experienced in that time. Horse racing was on and pub was fairly packed. Seems like a typical blokes pub. Whether or not that's a bad or good thing I'll let you decide. :)

A great venue with a refreshing down to earth atmosphere. Plenty of seating and big screens for match days or for watching other sporting events whilst enjoying a drink or two.

Second best pub in northwich obvithe salty dog a clear 1st place never the less the witch is a excellent place to have a drink day or night good atmosphere and a good area outside to the rear we're there's many a fluzi lurking in the shadows going from side to side and tree to tree hence the name of the pub

Went in on Sat night to watch the football. No sound was on due to the owner being a Liverpool fan (Man Utd were on) pretty petty. Awful non-descript dance music. Lots of lovely gentlemen powdering their noses in the toilets.

Had a few pints here watching the football before going for a curry. Great pub, with a really good atmosphere. Will be back soon.

Well worth a visit,pub,toilets and outside area are lovely and clean,variety of drinks and the prices were spot on,food was gorgeous and staff were great.

Really nice now it been done up and prices are really good too. However there is definitely improvement needed on the service department. Asked if we could order food at 18:20 knowing that the kitchen closed at 19:00. They told us yeah and that somebody would be back in a minute. 20 minutes later nobody had come back so I went up to the bar at 18:40 and asked if our table could order food and they told us no because the kitchen was closed. Drinks also took half an hour to arrive at 1 point. Swining witch is a really nice place to go with a big variety of drinks at a reasonable price however needs improvement with the service.

my favorite pub in northwich. has been closed for a refurb and a change of ownership and the good news is the old landlord,s back, so expect the return of live rock bands on a saturday night and karaoke on a sunday. this is one of the busiest pubs in northwich and regularly plays rock music. plenty of car parking space on the public car park next door

First visit for 30+ years. Old watering hole fondly remembered. Early Sunday evening visit spent enjoying 4 pints of excellent Genius with friends. Quite a few people in having a good banter with the barmaid made for a great atmosphere. Always a good boozer !

Great place for watching sport. Loads of TVs in virtually every direction you look. Drinks are pretty cheap and service is usually quick. Good size beer garden at the back with heaters at night.
