Sweet Tea in South Cambridgeshire

I've been to sweet tea several times since moving to sawston and I love it. The people that work there are super friendly, I'm moving out of sawston soon but I'll be back just to go to sweet tea, particularly enjoy their breakfasts which are great value as well as quality

Went with a friend first time had the all day breakfast it was really great nicely presented a free cup of tea and a reasonable price, will definitely go back again we were made very welcome.

A little gem of a place with a very warm and friendly welcome and service. A very small working space however they do their best to fit you in with a smile and a ‘ello darling’. Great value for money on food and drinks and cater everyone’s needs and wants from vegan options to sugar free cold & hot drinks. Finally this is the best place in the surrounding areas for a good old English breakfast served with a free hot drink with it what more could you want.

We had the most fabulous 90th Birthday party for my Dad at Sweet Tea. Louise was very accommodating from the point of booking to the very minute we left and nothing was too much trouble - directions and parking to decorations - in such a personable and friendly manner. The food, service and comfortable, intimate atmosphere was great for the 15 of us get together, as close local family, for a private afternoon tea. Not only was there a super spread of home made sandwiches, scones and cake, but also additional teas and coffees and a Vegan requirement specifically catered for. (Picture taken after enjoying all the lovely food!) Dad was so very happy "I wasn't expecting all of this!" Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all at Sweet Tea!

An asset to the community and run by a super group of ladies. Nice outdoor space with tables and umbrellas and comfortable inside. Nice selection of light meals, cakes and super beverages. Well done ladies, a credit to the village 👍

We found this lovely place by chance while passing the Sawston. Although my English is not very good, ladies were patient enough to make order. All three were very kind. Latte was superb and Gluten free Brownie was excellent too. We were very pleased by the whole service and atmosphere there. Many thanks from Slovakia. :)

Popped in for 'brunch' and as usual fab. Good quality ingredients and many extras can be added to the normal. Great value as tea/coffee included. Staff are friendly. Seating both inside and out........

A cafe in what looks as if it was once a pub. A good selection of cakes on offer and seating outside.

I live in Spain and due to COVID restrictions was unable to get back to the UK to celebrate Mother’s Day with my Mum. I ordered a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea from Sweet Tea to be delivered to her. She was absolutely thrilled with it - she said it was so fresh and absolutely delicious! The prompt replies to my messages and service they gave was second to none. I can’t thank them enough for making a difficult day very special.

This is an excellent traditional cafe, which makes the beast breakfast and home made cakes around! All the food is homemade, excellent quality, very tasty and the sandwiches are always full. The staff are brilliant, very polite and friendly.

Went at lunchtime, on village pass at college.Only had 45 minutes, so went quickly.Ordered jacket potato with egg mayo, very good and very speedy.Staff were very pleasant, and asked if I would like butter,salad, or a drink.Was good value, and gave free salt and pepper.Recommend if you are short on time.

Good quality ingredients make for excellent breakfasts, and healthy lunches. Eat indoors, outdoors, or take-away. Staff are friendly & helpful.

Se dejó caer bastante tarde para el desayuno. . . 10) 45 Personal amable, acogedor y con ganas de agradar.El desayuno inglés completo era bueno con extras opcionales. Los huevos estaban recién cocinados pero no servidos con mucho cuidado y las claras estaban en muchos pedazos. Lamento decir que los tomates en lata no son de mi gusto, preferiría los frescos. La salchicha estaba un poco seca debido al servicio tardío. El tocino era sabroso si estaba un poco seco y las croquetas de patata estaban un poco blandas.Todos mis comentarios pueden estar relacionados con llegar al final del servicio de desayuno. Volveré pero un poco antes.El café se servía en una taza caliente y era de buen gusto. El precio era muy razonable.¡Gracias, dulce té!

Good little tea-room. Polite, friendly staff. Fair selection of food and drinks. All at a reasonable price.

This is a great little cafe, really sweet. Good cafe food, fast service, really friendly people who run it. Some outside seating if you want it. All in all, everything you want from a local village cafe.

We quite often travel around area for breakfasts this is a lovely friendly little cafe the breakfast was cheap and cooked to perfection we will be back and properly make it our regular breakfast place

Went for breakfast here after a dire night in a terrible hotel which did not provide breakfast Feeling fed up and tired due to the awful hotel and a bad night's sleep, this cafe cheered us up. The ladies who work there are very friendly and polite, the food was excellent and freshly made and the service great. My husband has to have gluten free which was not problem for them, we are both vegetarian, which was also not a problem (how refreshing)! so we both had a hearty breakfast, beautiful food in a pleasant environment. Wish this was nearer to us we would go frequently!

J’y suis allé deux fois juste pour faire le tea-time mais le salon était absolument magnifique. Un accueil très amiable et du bon thé, du bon café.

Went in for a coffee and a slice of cake. Pleasant cafe with friendly and prompt service. It has a number of tables inside and a few outside for those hardy souls who like to sit in the sunshine

Had a lovely breakfast here which includes a slice of toast and standard tea or coffee, good value, friendly service, didn't have room for cake but certainly looked like some nice ones available - toilet clean too !

We have only had the breakfast in here, but on both occasions it has been really good. Tasty, good size portion, good price too. They didn't mind either when I swopped a couple of the options around. We shall return!

A delightful local coffee shop with a large range of cakes and sandwiches. Note that it gets a little busy at lunchtime - finding a seat not always easy at this timr

My wife, our son and I enjoyed a very pleasant lunch. The service was excellent. Our snacks were freshly made and extremely tasty. The apple pie was fantastic, with a thick layer of freshly cooked apples that were not too sweet and encased in a firm, but light pastry base and top. Fresh Green Tea and fresh coffee were the perfect drinks before and after our meal.

I had a complimentary tea and bacon sandwich courtesy of VW which was lovely. Sadly no wifi and that meant not stopping for another paid coffee as I had work to do!

Lovely food - bacon, sausage good mushrooms good fried egg - normal disappointing hash browns (never had a good one) beans, toast & coffee.

Great food lovely service. Great for a family coffee time or a solo cuppa to keep warm. Spent the afternoon with my brother and sister we enjoyed a love wrap and cake

Often busy, but somehow never crowded; thankfully a good number of people calling in for take-outs, appear to being locals phoning in for their their packed lunches. The food is excellent, especially the soups which I'm surely must be homemade. It's quite busy but the staff are ultra efficient and quick to serve. Unfortunately we don't live locally but due to visiting a relative living nearby we can take the opportunity to makeSweet Tea our regular lunchstop, which we always look forward to.

I'm a regular (although not as regular as Lou would like), but Sweat Tea take the time to get to know every customer. Its a local independent business for local people and I look forward to supporting them for many many years. Will

My children love this place and so we sometimes go on a Saturday morning. The littlest people ate beans on toast and the teenager bacon sandwich. They always finish everything on their plates. Sometimes it can be a bit busy so your lucky to get a seat if you go after 12.30.

Such a lovely little Cafe with such friendly staff and great quality food at very reasonable prices. Will go back in a heartbeat!

This is a very cosy village cafe.It has a wide range of sandwiches and snacks. The staff were very polite and cheerful.It has seating outside for a warm day. There is a large car park behind Budgen's Supermarket. Worth a visit for cyclists and walkers..

Kindly requested if I could use the facilities as I have a medical condition. Rudely told that the toilets were not for those coming in from the street, but for customers. If I need to go, I must purchase something. Then informed the nearest available toilet was a 10 minute walk away. What a dated and customer unfriendly attitude to adopt for a small business. Reeds next door had no issue with this. I was in fact waiting for my Mother who had a Dr's appointment nearby, we were meeting for a coffee and cake afterward, but certainly not in this establishment.

Good service, good coffee, tasty cakes. It's a popular place - quite small - sometimes hard to get a table. Good for them though, shows how popular the place is. Nice to see a local cafe doing so well.

It's small but homely, Sawston is a great village with all amenities so everyone goes to sweet tea.

Great little coffee shop and a brilliant bacon buttie ! Often stop in for both. The staff are lovely. Very clean premesis and easy to park nearby. Great place for a social catch up with a friend. Always feel welcome and never rushed. Great cakes too !

Obviously very popular for their Saturday morning breakfasts! It was very busy at 1030 on a Saturday morning, but managed to get a table. Latte was good. Service was polite and efficient.

Ordered a Vegetarian Chilli Jacket potato for collection. Was so tasty and filling, will definitely be back.

Love starting off a Saturday with breakfast here. Always served nicely with a plate packed with bacon, egg, sausage, toast and beans. Always a good coffee too.

A nice little cafe in the center of Sawston village. Busy friendly atmosphere, good coffee, very reasonable prices. Looks like there are seats on the pavement in summer, but not in December. Inside bright and clean, staff efficient and chatty. Popular with all ages - just what you want in the middle of town.

I absolutely adore Sweet Tea. The ladies are always an absolute pleasure, and are always more than happy to accommodate my sometimes loud and sometimes messy toddlers. I'd happily eat their sandwiches all day, alas, I must always leave room for the fantastic desserts! Exceptional value every time.

Great value and good local bread made for an enjoyable beans on toast! Friendly staff and a great banter-y local atmosphere.

My wife and I chanced upon Sweet Tea one day whilst striking around Sawston. What a find! The staff are so lovely and make you feel incredibly welcome. The drinks are great, varied and come with some of Kirsty's home made mini shortbreads (which are awesome). The food is wonderful. We have gone in every week for months now and had nothing but really good food. Everything is tasty and cooked to perfection. Being regulars, they even save us some of their wonderful (and quick to sell out) quiches. Bliss.

Really lovely atmosphere in here. Staff very friendly and efficient. The food is really good, jacket potatoes very good, breakfasts great and all sandwiches and toasties lovely. . The cakes are really yummy, different ones every time you go in. Definitely a place to go, you are certain to return.
