I went on a Friday night with my daughter. It was quiet but nice as we could talk and hear each other. The food was excellent as were the staff. Highly recommend it 👌

When ordering the call taker asks you to bring cash. I rarely have cash and find it more convenient to purchase goods and services with my card. Other than that the service is good and the food is great.

I ordered a korma with rice on a Saturday night, I couldn’t eat it… it was so salty that it ruined my whole meal. I tried to call at 10:30 but there was no answer so I drove there and they had shut half an hour early so not only could I not have my dinner, I had also lost money! Very disappointed

During my visit to England, we wanted to order a good meal together to pick up ourselves. The order and pickup were hassle free. The service was also very nice. Clean as well, which is very important for me! But the food was very good. Ordered was Butter Chicken with an extra portion of rice. In addition, chicken briyani also came. Butter Chicken tasted really great to me. The seasoning and cream were just perfect. You tasted all the out, which you should. The Chicken Briyani was also very delicious. Therefore, I can only recommend this store!

Food was good but disappointed when it was delivered only Luke warm. We had to reheat all the food. Contacted Shapla who stated we can have a discount next time. Shame as have been a loyal customer of theirs for several years.

Chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely disgusting, completely inedible. Made us not want to finish the Chicken Jalfrezi we had also. Rice was ok. Overall extremely disappointed and money wasted. Avoid if you love a good curry - We will never order again.

When I arrived to collect my food, I was already worried. The front was poorly kept and dirty - not what you want to see in any restaurant. The cabinet where they keep Papadoms looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the Pre-Covid days. The guy behind the counter grabbed a handful with his bare hands when he put them in my takeaway bag. And now here’s the best part - I ended up with food poisoning. I had a chicken vindaloo and some of the pieces of chicken tasted weird, but I carried on eating foolishly, and ended up paying for it. My wife ordered a Passanda which looked like puke, the colour was disgusting. She ate the prawns and left the rest, luckily she did not get food poisoning too. Looked up Hygiene Rating, which is a 3 “Generally Satisfactory” which indicates that, even though they would have had a short time to prepare for the Hygiene inspector, there were still some aspects which were not in fact satisfactory. My advice: go to Asda and get a jar of Pataks and you will enjoy it infinitely more than this place.

stopping locally for a long weekend ,fancied a takeaway and chose shapla in radstock. possibly the worst curry I've ever had, reheated bhajis, same sauce on two completely different dishes,tasteless. Guess what! dodgy stomachs. AVOID

Was the worst “food” i have ever had, spent £40 and couldn’t even eat our meals had to bin it all, the Bombay aloo has black potatoes in it, the egg in my curry was also old and black! They forgot our rice, couldn’t eat my curry sauce either was disgusting!!! Avoid this curry house

Tonight's Shapla was possibly the best I've ever ordered, absolutely delicious. It was a couple of Biryanis and a tandoori mixed grill. Lamb so carefully chopped... Don't know if there's new staff in the kitchen but tonight's meal was even better than normal - lush food, many thanks :)

We waited an hour and a half late. And an egg turned up In my egg allergic partners chicken biriyani, no indication of egg in the menu. My chicken mouckak had no description on the website, i thought it might be something interesting but just a korma with cheese on top, again no warning for people who can't eat dairy. Total dismissal every time we rang. Won't be ordering again.

Flavours were okay but the food was stone cold when it arrived. Popadoms were also soggy.

A starter to curries can and rice. It was lacking in taste and they didn't put the starter in I couldn't be bothered to go back or make a complaint as it took over an hour to get the meal originally

So whilst I accept things go wrong the way they are handled is key.So to be told I was a liar by ordering the wrong dish one I never ever heard of and to be hung up on as well.Your customer service skills are not even worth a star.Had to walk down to sort out with very rude manager.Please ensure you double check your order.Will never visit this place again.Was told the dishes don't even sound the same...so why did you get it wrong.Daughter also opened up her Madras and was a hair in it,not the end of the world but no apology.The manager is a comete disgrace to customer service. Definitely recommend a customer service course for you. Totally messed up my NYE.

First time we have placed a order from there online. Usually use rice and spice . Ordered online at 5 for delivery at 6.45. Had a message saying it would be delayed 10mins. No problem . Best Indian Restaurant in the area. Good quality food with lots of flavour. Not too watery or too oily like other Indians. Fresh ingredients used. Fairly priced not too expensive at all. Would recommend!

I’ve been coming here pretty much every week for the last couple of years and have never had anything to complain about. The food is beautifully cooked, the staff are so friendly, and you never have to wait long for your order. Can’t recommend enough!

This place used to be okay but food is bland and tasteless now. Dishes are overpriced too. This is what happens when there is no choice of places......

Ordered the king prawn bhuna, chicken tikka madras and samosas and was very surprised by how good they all were! I could taste the lamb in the samosas, fresh and juicy. And the king prawns didn't taste like the usual frozen prawns, but real huge fresh prawns. Loved the takeaway and will hopefully order again soon.

Chicken Tikka Masala. The chicken was tough and the masala sauce was watery and weak

We called into this restaurant as we had been visiting family for the day. Although this is primarily a take away establishment it did offer a few tables and a good varied menu. Thefood was well presented and tasted great. Our waitress, Becky, worked really hard between table service and a busy run of takeaways.A great little find, lovely food and served with a smile. Would definitely visit again.

The food here is amazing and the staff are lovely. It's such a relaxing place and you take your own alcohol which is even better as you always have your own preference of drink. If you haven't tried it yet try it 😍 You will not be disappointed.

Ordered a reasonably large order for my family, it was ok...Yup, Just ok. Not much flavour in anything. Amoungst other things we ordered 5 chicken tikka Masala's they were all sooooo watery..Not very pleasant consistency..it tasted ok. Plenty of other places to try..sorry I will not be ordering again.

We ordered chicken lemon delight, lemon rice, garlic & coriander naan and mushroom Ceylon. It was superb, it arrived on time nice and hot! It is consistently great!

We tried every curry place around but this place was always the best ... Although lately it seems to have gone abit down hill for us . Ordered for delivery and the girl on the phone was giggling and messing around and when it arrived it was all wrong so had to wait even longer for them to sort it out . Ordered again tonight and it was half hour later than they had said and it was also cold and didn't seem as nice as usual Probably won't bother again which is a shame as it used to be good

This is without a doubt the finest curry restaurant / takeaway I have ever eaten at. Cannot recommend enough.

We had a a delicious set of dishes for takeway with lots of extras: poppadums and a delicious onion bhaji. The service was prompt and friendly, and you can eat in as well as take away. A great asset: they are open seven days a week for those quiet Sundays when many other places are shuttered.

Had a takeaway here on a Saturday night. Very helpful guy who answered the phone and took the order quickly. We were told how long the food was going to be. It was on time and very good value for money. Food tasted fresh and a good size portion

This was the worst Indian I've ever had. First we ordered perhaps six or seven dishes. Half of them turned up first time around. Secondly they weren't what we'd ordered. For example we'd ordered saag paneer but actually what came was spinach with potatoes. Additionally I ordered a lot of tandoori meats. They clearly had not been marinaded properly or been cooked in the tandoori oven and the flavours was basically non existent. I basically paid seven quid for rubbery and flavourless chicken. I didn't even finish a single dish. Next was prawn korma and bearing in mind they jack the prices on this so I was expecting normal size prawns but actually got baby prawns. Complete disappointment. Don't bother.

A few neighbours got together last Saturday and decided on a take away from the above as they deliver if you spend £13 or more.We rang thru our order stating every item number and what it was we were told it would be a certain time,this came and went was just about to phone again when they turned up.well they made a complete hash of our order my daughter rang to ask what the letters represented on each container,that was a complete waste of time,the dish I ordered was meant to come with no rice so I ordered a mushroom rice,what they sent me was nothing like what I ordered plus it had come containing rice,it was barely warm very bland and dry there were 7 of us eating and half the order was wrong,I think I came the worse off tho.infact there was a lot of waste.

Really poor quality food. Curry was so greasy and meat was hard and very chewy. The rice was also dry and the grains had broken up into small pieces like it was processed food and not freshly cooked.

Make sure they don't handle the papadom without gloves. They deal with customers' money, then put your paps in a bag without putting gloves on. Couldn't eat them when we got home, thinking of all the germs. They didn't seem to be bothered. Food okay but nothing special - rather small portions. Won't be going back. No chutney or Raita with papadom - which they charged us for!

Friendly staff and nice food with fair prices but I felt like we were eating in a take away. Sweet chillies is very small, about 18 covers and as a result you can hear every phone call. Each time the door opens we were rewarded with a blast of cold air from the street. It would be lovely too if they sold beer and wine although there is no issue if you bring your own. I would certainly use it for take away.

Sweet chilies es mi favorito hindú para llevar. . . . hay una opción de quienes deseen comer. Siempre el mismo orden que es Korma, patatas fritas con salsa de menta, poppadoms, Bombay aloo y si pasas 20 libras o más que normalmente tienen la opción de gratis o Bombay aloo bajiis cebolla. Los propietarios son gente amable y muy agradable la entrega es bastante rápido incluso en fines de semana. Siempre será mi primera opción y muy buen precio (ya que normalmente encontrar hindú para llevar a ser el más caro).

Muy agradable, mi favorito de la zona. La comida es coherente y los precios son más que razonables para la cantidad que recibe. Una amplia selección de platos y el Sag Aloo es fuera de este mundo!

Stopped in for a curry with mum and sister. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was small but clean. The flavour of the food was fantastic. The only slight grumble I have was that we didn't want to over order food as sister is on a diet and I was a bit off-colour. The staff working insisted that we order more... (One rice per person) ....Which was of course, wasted. Following the philosophy of the customer always being right (about not wanting tonnes of food) may be a good plan for the future!!

We always choose Sweet Chillies if we fancy an Indian meal. We have eaten in and also get their take-away. We have never been disappointed and will continue to go there

As a midlander you know a good curry when you taste one and I've got to say what a fantastic tasting curry I had, please don't change a thing. Finally a good curry house in Somerset.

Good good but they advertise on window that they are open till midnight but most nights close just after 11pm

We don't order take away very often, and we live in the midst of nowhere so we're always impressed when there is a possibility of delivery. Ordered online and used PayPal, very easy and only £1.50 delivery charge. Spot on! Great menu to choose from. Naturally delivery driver struggled to find us, and probably didn't have signal to call so when I decided to call when it was late he had returned to the shop. He then found us when I managed to flag him down. Quite late by now unfortunately.All staff were very friendly, but food wasn't the quality we expected for the price, and one dish was wrong, but it was too late to change. Never mind, just hoped for better but you don't know until you try.

Recently moved to the area, and when you move to a new place, you want to try the takeaways and work out the best ones. So me and my partner thought we would try this Indian, after a dodgy Indian elsewhere I was hesitant. But he twisted my arm and we went in and sat down. The gentleman was very friendly and took our order. When it came out it smelled delicious! Took my first mouthful and it blew me away, it was tasty and the chicken was succulent. The more I ate, the more I enjoyed it. I can honestly say this was the best curry I have ever had. Highly recommended!

Ordered from just eat waited over an hour for our meal we were starving.When it finally arrived it was the wrong order.Not very happy at all will not eat from there again!!!

Ordered a take away to be delivered. Food was ok. Naan tasted like it was a bit old, as did the poppadom. Main dish was fine. Not overly impressed overall.

I treated my bf to a takeaway and was looking forward to it myself. When it arrived the only way I could describe it was inedible!!!! The samosas were soggy, the popadoms tasted of oil, the meat was as tough as old boots and I side dish I tired almost made me puke ( I'm not exaggerating) I am a big fan of Indian and I have to say this is the worst I have ever tried. Very disappointed!!!!! I wouldn't even give 1 star!!!!

Ordered £25 pounds worth of food to be delivered. The lamb and chicken in both currys was dry and inedible. You can tell it's all pre cooked and reheated. Chucked it all in the bin. Probably the worst curry I have ever eaten!!!!

I have been to many Indian restaurants around the UK, and this is one of the best I have encountered. The menu has many old favourites, but also a fantastic selection of unique dishes I have not seen in other restaurants such as the Naga and Shoreesha. The food is freshly cooked, and the owners and the staff are very friendly. We had take-always and eaten in the restaurant for around 4 years now without complaint. Aside from the great menu, the price of food is very reasonable. In addition, the restaurant is great for vegetarians with most dishes being available with just vegetables or paneer (Indian cheese). If you have not visited yet you should, as this is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Bath and N.E. Somerset.

I don't agree with the previous 2 reviews We had a takeaway from there last week and it was as excellent as ever. I have eaten there dozens of times in the last few years and it has been consistently great. This is a shared view by people who I have dined with. Having lived in many parts of the UK, this is easily up there with the best including the balti triangle.
