Sweet Centre Bradford - A Gem of a place. Lovely food, great service , run by family. This is not your average restaurant. You are greeted by attentive Staff that really make you feel at home. We Tried the lamb on the bone, the Chicken And Spinach Karahi, and the Fish Masala. This is by far a unique restaurant that the taste of the curry is not like the rest. The meat is tender and the flavours are authentic. I would recommend for a great experience.

It is unique and has great service .It has an amazing enviroment.I highly recommend it.I love how it gives you a flashback of the past as it is a family oriented establishment.

We first came to The Sweet Centre in the early 1980s and visited almost weekly for many decades. We had not been for maybe 20 years so this was an exciting visit we looked forward to. Staff were lovely, helpful and kind; the food was delicious. The popadoms and pickle tray were wonderful, my started of shami kebabs was the best ever. It is good you can take your own alcohol as it means you take the exact drink you like. It is amazing to think a restaurant has been going for such a long time. Well done to all at the restaurant. Thank you.

Brilliant place to sit in and have a curry. Place is clean and tidy and welcoming. Staff all welcoming and cheerful and made the special chicken karahi really nice and will return

There were a lot of food options available, all at a very reasonable price. The one I chose was tasty and the portion size was very generous. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more.

Absolutely horrific experience. Daylight robbery is an understatement. Miniscule portions, dirty chairs, dirty tables, dirty floor, EXTORTIONATE food and TINY portions. NEVER AGAIN! No idea what the hype about this place is. Save your money and go elsewhere! Awful doesn't even quite cover it.

We had a wonderful evening meal , all was very well cooked .. great to see the Restaurant has stayed true to its values.

Great food the best in Bradford come down to the restaurant side.

We were a group of 7 and went here for breakfast as the place we'd initially went into also called "Sweet Centre" had an awkward seating set up so we went a couple of doors down to this place. It was a clean and tidy restaurant with what can only be described as old school decor which I liked, but the best thing was their music choice! They played absolute bangers from the 90s. Now, growing up in the 90s me, walking into this place was so nostalgic. I loved it! It reminded me of restaurants we'd go to as children with our parents way back in the day. Ok so the food: we had tanka dhaal, chickpea and potato curry with parathas and naan, spicy wings and shish kebabs. It was good food. We had to add salt but we may jusg prefer more salt than the average person. The service from the waiting stsff was lovely. The waiter had a joke around with us and made an effort to engage the children too. All in all, I really liked this place.

Nothing but praise for the old timers who have been around for 60 years Brother israr was very polite and accommodating he saw my wife wears niqaab and suggested the family room which was perfect for us Brother israr and other waiters where very polite all the way through so I was going to give them a 5 star review on this alone But the food was 10/10 order meat seekh kebabs where delicious chola puri and halwa was also good but the star of the show was the paratha fresh and crispy also got some daal to taste was also very nice The best desi breakfast I have by far will definitely be returning

Had the loveliest time at the Sweet Centre this evening with my mum. I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 90’s. I live in London now and don’t quite get the authenticity the Sweet Centre is widely renowned for. Mum and I had Seekh Kebabs and a pickle tray to start which never disappoints. We then enquired about a new dish on the menu which the head chef kindly came over and explained how the dish was made and what made it special, this was the Handi Karahi with chicken for 2 people, which was even better than the chef had described to us! Apart from from the food being exceptional, the front of house and waiter was more than informative and attentive without being intrusive, which is always appreciated. Can’t wait to return at Christmas time, thanks again 🤎🤎🤎

Amazing food best around by far

Sweet Center is the life of awe community heart it has really good Beautiful food it is number 1 in Bradford to Serve very good food it fantastic customer service very friendly staff & funny too I could chat to them for hours at restaurants & they won’t mind management very good & managers very nice and friendly to 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰I have be coming to sweet centre restaurant since I was kid I have my child hood Memories, here eat at this place whit my mum & dad & brother & Sist really loved it 🥰🥰

The food was 10/10 when it comes to breakfast sweet centre restaurant is the place to go you wont be disappointed. Also all the brothers at sweet centre are very welcoming and well spoken. Will definitely go again highly recommended to all.

Went for a dine in meal today at this branch for the first time and was not disappointed at all! Once the order was placed the food came out promptly and was piping hot and fresh! Would definitely recommend the seekh kebabs with chutney and their desi breakfast was amazing! Israr who was our server was fantastic very attentive and made sure we were looked after, overall a great place to dine and will be going back!

Went for some desi tea and rasmaili in the takeaway shop. The tea was 'off' and didn't have the nerve to complain about it as my partner told me to forget it. Desert was average. I don't think I will be having tea or desert again here. It's very disappointing (

Amazing food at the Sweet centre restaurant thanknyou great service

Lovely Asian Sweet Shop and staff. Yummy Gulab Jamun and Milky Barfi. The only little customer feedback is to fry the Carrots a little further for the Gajar Halva being on the raw side slightly please but I guess thats everyone’s preference which would add to the existing flavour that was still good enough.

We have just moved in Bradford and we came to know that best Desi breakfast is sweet corner, but i had worst experience, tasteless halwa puri, puri is like sponge and halwa is like coloured powder. They must try Desi Breaky from Al Kareem in east London, proper taste. My first n last experience with Sweet Corner.

Asian cuisine is best here, enjoyed it will come here again with my friends I am sure they will also love it. Ambiance was also good.

I recently dined at Sweet Centre Restaurant in Bradford and had an incredible experience. For the mains, I tried the Chicken Masala and Seekh Kebab. The Chicken Masala was hands down the best curry I've ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The Seekh Kebab was also excellent, tender, and bursting with flavor. To finish, I had the Gulab Jamun for dessert, which was the perfect sweet treat to round off the meal. If you're in Bradford, Sweet Centre is a must-visit!

Thirty years had passed since I last ate here and I had to come back. I was passing Bradford on the motorway and took a detour. My wife and I received a warm welcome and we had personal attention from the owner/chef. The starters of fresh fish with a light tandoori seasoning with excellent vegetarian pakoras. Mains of meat masala with chipattis and my wife was invited to the staff lunch on the day which was a spinach lentil dish which was spiced at a dopiaza. Both were magnificent. Thirty years on and still at the top of its game. The finest Indian Restaurant in Bradford. And that says something.

Really bad service..I take out 2 smosa chaat and when i was eating this chaat smosa was burn..I am really disapointed.

I ordered samosas they were very very oily oil was dripping out and the taste was so horrible never going back again

Visited Sweet Centre Restaurant recently in July 2024 with a friend,The surroundings inside are a little basic/bland,but the staff are friendly and the food was surprisingly very tasty except the pilau rice which looked and tasted over cooked,so we maybe shouldve ordered plain rice not pilau.Also very surprised they don't offer different rice's such as lemon,keema,mushroom pea,etc as thought all Indian Restaurants did those? And as at all eating places if you get a drink ask for no ice lol or you get short measures of drink with lots of ice lol.But as I said rice apart the food was really delicious.Probably won't rush back as millions of Indian Restaurants around

Been coming here for years and never had a problem until yesterday the guy behind the till was really rude if you can’t be bothered doing your job why go to work? . Poor customer service.

I was hungry and wanted to try the famous Sweet Centre Restaurant Breakfast. I had the balti paya and it was the best in Bradford. The food was quality and the prices here are amazing. The food was incredible as usual! My boyfriend’s grandparents have been visiting over 30 years and used to take him when he was a baby! So the restaurant has been passed down through the family and is very important to us all. The service as usual was absolutely fantastic, such lovely kind hearted people that work in the sweet centre and always such an honour to chat with everybody working. We had masala fish, sharer starter, pickle tray, popadom, chicken korma, chicken dopiaza and garlic naan. All an 11/10 Thank you so much, we will be back soon :)

Absolutely the best restaurant in Bradford.Customer service is quick efficient and reliable . I can definitely recommend the lamb on the bone for food as well as Balti Gosht with naan as one of the chefs special. It’s the main one not the corner one. Overall perfect 👍🏽

Today me and my family went to eat out at sweet centre restaurant. We really enjoyed the food was delicious nice meat and chicken masala. Their starter seek and samosas took me back in time when me and my dad used to go and eat there same recipe same taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was a nice felling asoon has we stepped in. Also the owner was great who came over to us ask everything ok👍 would recommend anybody with your family or just friends to eat out.

Ordered a few things from the menu including 12 kebabs to take out and when I got home realised that there were only 10. To make it worse the smell of the kebabs were bad and could smell the fat in the meat rather than the meat itself. Would expect better from a well established restaurant.

Very poor quality of samosa chat. They are just selling the name that we are established in 1964. We left food without eating. My cousin start feeling sick after trying food. The quality of mince they used in kababs bad.

Great breakfast first time I've been down local walking distance restaurant breakfast ain't a breakfast person but a one off desi breakfast bought myself chana & puris bit of a wait but food was nice and waiter was friendly loads of dishes too choose from menu it was cooked on premises.

King of asian breakfast food but gets too busy

Ok so lets make it clear first..its not same as original sweet centre...its a copy of it and try to sell same things but can't match the taste.... I called them to order some cholay which I usually buy from sweet centre but called the restaurant by mistake and the guy said we sell same cholay so make sure I come to the restaurant side... I thought its just another branch but no I was wrong....there is no match between original sweet centre and fake one.... so guys don't be tricked....

Perfect for breakfest, friendly staff who are more like family than stressed out workers and an all round perfect atmosphere.

As Bradfordians we can find many things to complain about in our fair city but this establishment is certainly not one of them, the quality of food and service you receive is second to none and can hand on heart say you will not get a better curry for a better price anywhere in the country!

I googled "Best curry in Bradford" and up came Sweet Centre and that description was spot on!! It was my Aussie partner's first Bradford curry experience and she was blown away. The food, the staff, the whole experience was amazing, never had better service, both friendly and efficient. Go out of your way to visit, you'll not be disappointed!

They have been cooking since the 60’s and are very passionate about giving the best to their customers. We were welcomed by mr Khan with a smile and exceptional service.

The Sweet Centre Restaurant (Main Restaurant) food is fabulous I have there desi breakfast, cholay and puri. They had a spacious seating area perfect for family and friends. Best food in the UK traditional Asian food the best a must try thank you so much the prices were amazing

Absolutely the best curry around and the best I’ve had. The chicken handi is mouthwatering and so delicious it melts in your mouth 🤩 outstanding food, friendly and courteous staff and the chef came out too to speak to us. So down to earth and lovely. I’ve been coming here for 40 years and hands down the best curry ever. Can’t recommend enough 👏👏👏👏

I am a lifelong customer and this restaurant has been my favourite forever. Myself and my sister visited tonight and it was amazing as always The food is delicious and the people are so friendly and welcoming even the chef took time to chat with us. My very favourite which myself and partner always get to share is the Chicken Handi special which is outstanding.

I did it. I finally made the pilgrimage to the Sweet Centre for the perfect meat madras. You can taste sixty years of tradition, expertise, and British Desi heritage in every bite. I couldn't fault the food, the service or the price. I hope it's around for another 60 years. I plan to come back.

Top service. Excellent food. Nice place. But if your a desi and you want to eat breakfast go to the Sweet Centre small shop. It looks cheaper. But since we didn't know we ended up here. Never the less amazing dahl and channa. Superb mitai. Only tried it the day after I come back to London. Definitely the best I have had in a very long time. They got that perfect punch of sweet, not too much not too little.

Fantastic meal tonight. The service was exceptional, with lots of friendly advice and recommendations. The food was really authentic and delicious. We had the mixed starter, meat vindaloo, and chicken Balti (with extra garlic that they were happy to accommodate). It is nice to see a curry house that focuses on great service and authentic food rather than trying to make the place look modern and shiny. We will definitely be back.
