Very rude man behind counter and miserable looking. Teas were cold. Made a face when asked to heat it up.

Had a lovely meal here with family. IMHO one of the best biryanis you’ll ever get. Really friendly service and genuinely lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

The perfect Valentines Day meal! Myself and my partner came today and the service went above and beyond- it really does hang onto the family feel of the restaurant. You are welcomed like a long lost relative! The food was amazing! I got the medium chicken tikka masala balti and it was honestly potentially one of the best I’ve recieved and I’ve travelled to numerous restaurants for a good curry. The service was the highlight of the meal however even though the food is to die for, they really do care about their customers and it shows. Thank you for making our Valentine’s Day special 🫶.

100% coming back to this place! I last went 10 years ago and the food was outstanding! Went for Valentine’s Day today, and the food and service is just as good! The chicken balti is amazing and the starters such as the samosas and kebabs are the best we’ve ever had. My partner asked if she could take some pickle to take home and the house member gave us 4 on the house along with a free can of Coke for the drive home to add to the amazing service. Definitely the best in Bradford if your looking for authenticity

We've been coming here for 11 years now and have never even thought to leave a review. Food is amazing (so much so we're there most Fridays for our tea) and nothing is ever too much to ask. The owner, his brother and all the staff are so welcoming. See you next Friday guys 😂

A national institution, the legend that is sweet centre. The best food establishment in the north. You will never find a tastier kebab elsewhere. The curries are divine. There is a reason that they have stood the test of time.

This is the best curry I’ve ever eaten. Seriously good, very authentic to the family traditions. Last visited this iconic restaurant around 1990. The service was friendly and hospitable. Will be back for more very soon. Highly recommended. Established in the 60’s the place is an absolute 💎 of Yorkshire.

Ordered breakfast from here this morning absolutely disappointed the seekh kebabs were burnt and samosas too there didn't even give us any mint sauce when asked by the staff there was very rude I cannot believe this place as been here for so long and the service and food has gone downhill sweetcentre isn't the same anymore avoid this place it's disgusting if you don't want to get ill all there do is warm the food up in the microwave and serve u I won't ever come to this place again. I have the right business i do now where I ordered from and I will not be removing the review as I won't people to now to avoid this place your food is disgusting so is your service your business on lumb lane am referring too so I have the right business

Wow!! What a superb authentic Asian restaurant this is. The food is of the highest quality and is a taste sensation, carefully and skilfully blended spices to create the most amazing curry ever. We had the Balti chicken murgh and Balti goscht, the latter being the favourite. Not only was the food amazing, the customer service was too. Lovely lovely kind people who take the time to talk to you and explain about the food and the start of there fabulous restaurant, which they are quite rightly very proud of. I just wish more food establishments could get it right just like these guys do. Thankyou so much for a wonderful experience. We will be back very soon.

Fantastic food, I have been going here for must be 40 years, I travel miles from my home to here and worth it.

Such a shame the original Sweet Centre restaurant is being confused with the obviously vastly inferior takeaway on the corner. The original sweet centre is the same now as when I first ate there 35 years ago! Bhuna, Madras, seekh kebabs, everything here is consistently good, as is the service from Waq and the rest of the team. GO TO THE RESTAURANT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK, **NOT** THE ONE ON THE CORNER!

I ate here a couple of months ago for breakfast and can highly recommend! The food was delicious... I'm still dreaming of the bread...😍. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rest of the customers were super welcoming too - which made for a lovely experience. Bradford has got to be one of the friendliest places I've visited. 5/5 for food, service and atmosphere - Google won't let me adjust the scoring!!

This place has a real traditional feel. A great family run restaurant. Provides authentic food and flavours. The restaurant has recently had its 60th Anniversary and is one of the Oldest establishments that still does old school dishes.

Great service and food was fresh. I got parantha, chanai and samosa and egg. All tasted amazing - tickling my taste buds. Great authentic feel in the space and delicious food made to my tailored requests for the parantha and egg. The desi tea tops it all off - traditionally made with quality. You can't get desi tea like this anymore across many other new shops which have popped up now. Would highly recommend!

Very nice trip to Bradford yesterday. The food was excellent and really tasty. My lamb was very tender. It fell of the bone. And was delicious. Lovely chapatti to go with it and rice. The starters were great my fish was spot on and my partners onion and veg pakora was very nice too. Would highly recommend the chicken tikka on the bone starter which my son got. The taste blew us away. Thanks

Just dined at the great Sweet Centre Restaurant, I have to say what a meal, started with the Seekh Kebabs and Kashmiri fish, Mouthwatering, our main we had the Lamb off the bone and Torkah dal, with Tandoori Roti and Chapatis, this has topped any restaurant in Bradford I have visited so far, the chef came and asked if the food was good, exceptional, very hospitable waiter as well, top marks all around

Worth every penny, as recommended by my friend the food was fantastic, specially the channa puri and seekh kababs. In Bradford it’s very hard to find a food and taste like sweet centre. Highly recommended and must try place. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the service was also very quick. 👍👍👍

Happy 60th Birthday Anniversary- what a wonderful meal we had too. I ate a separate starters and my main was lamb with a daal. (Samosas £3.50 pakoras £4.95 and Shish kebabs, Balti Gosht £13.99, Tarka Dahl £7.95). All together we spent at least £80 and were charged £55. For seven meals including take out. They generously gave a 30% discount as part of their birthday celebrations. The meal was very filling and portions were large. The food tasted delicious too. Authentic beautiful foods.

Absolutely pathetic! Ordered food chap at the front with the waistcoat all over the place, didn’t know day of the week. I ordered a large order of starters, he goes I didn’t charge you for it, PRINCIPLE WAS I DID TELL HIM NUMEROUS TIMES 15X KEBABS, & 5 SAMOSAS. Lesson learnt, and I’d recommend you all go to the breakfast place instead different owners and better, service! All I got was a sorry at the end, and no consideration for the travel back to the branch.

Use to love it still love it but they stop taking cards which is not good if customers out side off city with come no cash not on top driving trailer hardly find parking but when get in they don't take cards cash only have to give business to other places food is nice though.

Payai were not fresh, and was charged 16 for a small tube, they were not made today, the taste was awful. I expected the food to be at least fresh, and not cold.

The place is cramped. This is no rule Pakistani style queuing. It is busy until 1pm and the place is cramped. First come, first serve. Now the food - you want halwa puri get there by no later than 12 noon or it’s naan instead. The channay are serviceable and the halwa tastes buttery and isn’t sickly sweet. The naan are good. Biggest disappointment is the seekh kebab - they look like turds (God forgive me!) - chewy, bland and even with the sauce it’s not good. The tea is serviceable but the mango lassi was standout. It’s good to go and say you’ve been - but I wouldn’t go again. It’s a landmark and back in the day people would come from all over to have the halwa puri. Parking is not possible so we walked from the city centre which took 25 minutes and it was a simple walk. Upshot is most YouTubers who review halal food actually have no taste and it’s clear they get paid to give reviews. Please do go and once you’ve been then you can say you’ve been. No a repeat destination.

Israar and Nisar were so helpful and so supportive. This is a place that you need to get yourself down to as you feel like you’re eating in your house. The food was pipping hot and amazing and there were not complaints about it. The service however was the best service received at a restaurant hands out.

Brother Waqar and Brother Asrar are two of the most genuine and kind-hearted people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home. The food was absolutely outstanding, and the service was spot on. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively yet comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I travelled all the way from Leeds, and it was worth every mile. This place brought back such fond memories of my childhood, when I used to come here and enjoy their famous seekh kebabs. The flavours were just as incredible as I remember, if not even better, and every bite felt like a trip down memory lane. This is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Whether you’re local or visiting from further afield, it’s a must-visit. The food, the people, and the overall vibe make it a truly special place. A solid 100/10 from me – don’t miss out on this gem!

Sweet Centre Bradford - A Gem of a place. Lovely food, great service , run by family. This is not your average restaurant. You are greeted by attentive Staff that really make you feel at home. We Tried the lamb on the bone, the Chicken And Spinach Karahi, and the Fish Masala. This is by far a unique restaurant that the taste of the curry is not like the rest. The meat is tender and the flavours are authentic. I would recommend for a great experience.

We first came to The Sweet Centre in the early 1980s and visited almost weekly for many decades. We had not been for maybe 20 years so this was an exciting visit we looked forward to. Staff were lovely, helpful and kind; the food was delicious. The popadoms and pickle tray were wonderful, my started of shami kebabs was the best ever. It is good you can take your own alcohol as it means you take the exact drink you like. It is amazing to think a restaurant has been going for such a long time. Well done to all at the restaurant. There were a lot of food options available, all at a very reasonable price. The one I chose was tasty and the portion size was very generous. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more.

Absolutely horrific experience. Daylight robbery is an understatement. Miniscule portions, dirty chairs, dirty tables, dirty floor, EXTORTIONATE food and TINY portions. NEVER AGAIN! No idea what the hype about this place is. Save your money and go elsewhere! Awful doesn't even quite cover it.

We were a group of 7 and went here for breakfast as the place we'd initially went into also called "Sweet Centre" had an awkward seating set up so we went a couple of doors down to this place. It was a clean and tidy restaurant with what can only be described as old school decor which I liked, but the best thing was their music choice! They played absolute bangers from the 90s. Now, growing up in the 90s me, walking into this place was so nostalgic. I loved it! It reminded me of restaurants we'd go to as children with our parents way back in the day. Ok so the food: we had tanka dhaal, chickpea and potato curry with parathas and naan, spicy wings and shish kebabs. It was good food. We had to add salt but we may jusg prefer more salt than the average person. The service from the waiting stsff was lovely. The waiter had a joke around with us and made an effort to engage the children too. All in all, I really liked this place.

Nothing but praise for the old timers who have been around for 60 years Brother israr was very polite and accommodating he saw my wife wears niqaab and suggested the family room which was perfect for us Brother israr and other waiters where very polite all the way through so I was going to give them a 5 star review on this alone But the food was 10/10 order meat seekh kebabs where delicious chola puri and halwa was also good but the star of the show was the paratha fresh and crispy also got some daal to taste was also very nice The best desi breakfast I have by far will definitely be returning

Amazing food best around by far

Had the loveliest time at the Sweet Centre this evening with my mum. I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 90’s. I live in London now and don’t quite get the authenticity the Sweet Centre is widely renowned for. Mum and I had Seekh Kebabs and a pickle tray to start which never disappoints. We then enquired about a new dish on the menu which the head chef kindly came over and explained how the dish was made and what made it special, this was the Handi Karahi with chicken for 2 people, which was even better than the chef had described to us! Apart from from the food being exceptional, the front of house and waiter was more than informative and attentive without being intrusive, which is always appreciated. Can’t wait to return at Christmas time, thanks again 🤎🤎🤎

Went for a dine in meal today at this branch for the first time and was not disappointed at all! Once the order was placed the food came out promptly and was piping hot and fresh! Would definitely recommend the seekh kebabs with chutney and their desi breakfast was amazing! Israr who was our server was fantastic very attentive and made sure we were looked after, overall a great place to dine and will be going back!

Went for some desi tea and rasmaili in the takeaway shop. The tea was 'off' and didn't have the nerve to complain about it as my partner told me to forget it. Desert was average. I don't think I will be having tea or desert again here. It's very disappointing (

Lovely Asian Sweet Shop and staff. Yummy Gulab Jamun and Milky Barfi. The only little customer feedback is to fry the Carrots a little further for the Gajar Halva being on the raw side slightly please but I guess thats everyone’s preference which would add to the existing flavour that was still good enough.

We have just moved in Bradford and we came to know that best Desi breakfast is sweet corner, but i had worst experience, tasteless halwa puri, puri is like sponge and halwa is like coloured powder. They must try Desi Breaky from Al Kareem in east London, proper taste. My first n last experience with Sweet Corner.

I recently dined at Sweet Centre Restaurant in Bradford and had an incredible experience. For the mains, I tried the Chicken Masala and Seekh Kebab. The Chicken Masala was hands down the best curry I've ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The Seekh Kebab was also excellent, tender, and bursting with flavor. To finish, I had the Gulab Jamun for dessert, which was the perfect sweet treat to round off the meal. If you're in Bradford, Sweet Centre is a must-visit!
