Swan Chinese Take Away in Reading

The prawn toast tasted like cardboard. It was clearly overcooked. I had to call them and express my distaste. I ended up arguing with my wife as she did the ordering and I asked her if she read the reviews. My 13 yr old said he enjoyed the chow mein tho so that deserved another star. We tipped the driver as we always do.

First time ordering food from this restaurant. I decided to try Golden Rice after reading through the reviews, I was not disappointed. The food arrived in good time, everything was hot and I could not fault any part of this order. Each dish was very tasty, and cooked well, everything tasted fresh and the portion sizes were good. Based on this, my first experience of Golden Rice Restaurant, I will certainly be ordering again at some point. Well done everyone at Golden Rice Restaurant, keep up the good work and high standards. DELICIOUS!

Very Slow service, food extremely salty most of the dishes came out warm not hot chicken satay was hard wouldn't go back very disappointed not were £25.00.

Interesting reviews on here and a bit mixed, so I'll base mine on my regular experience only = FANTASTIC! I regularly order the crispy duck and it is the best imho. I have eaten at many restaurants in ChinaTown and this 'for me' is equally as good.. Also usually also go for a House Special in Szechuan Sauce which is great as well. Personally, I've never been disappointed and my go to Chinese.
