Ken's Chinese Takeaway in Reading

The prawn toast tasted like cardboard. It was clearly overcooked. I had to call them and express my distaste. I ended up arguing with my wife as she did the ordering and I asked her if she read the reviews. My 13 yr old said he enjoyed the chow mein tho so that deserved another star. We tipped the driver as we always do.

The food was really great and the service was exceptional.

Not that good. Plenty of better options around.

The service of this place has REALLY GONE DOWNHILL. Been going here since 2017 and eating every now and then but visited them two days ago and got served by some Asian guy who clearly is either underpaid for the job or can’t be arsed. Taking incorrect orders, correcting them, not charging correctly, then demanding more payment, and the attitude of the guy was really stinking. I won’t be returning again, terrible service and terrible people, find food spots two minutes away, you have Mr Ts and Pepes.

I have had excellent food and service at this establishment for several years. I highly recommend them.
